If Every Gym Leader Got a New Strongest Pokémon

Jun 09, 2021
- Greetings, Poke fans. Here Michael and pretty much

every

Gym Leader has a stronger iconic Pokémon or as I like to call it, their ace. Brock has Onix, Wallace has Milotic, Raihan has Duraludon and so on. But what if they had different aces, different stronger Pokémon? Today, I'll go over each Pokémon Gym Leader from the main series and give my opinion on how well their ace fits, and then suggest an alternate ace, regardless of whether I think their current one fits them or not. By the way, thanks to my patron, David Peace, for suggesting this idea for the video.

So don't forget to subscribe to my channel, as less than half of my viewers are subscribed, which is deeply disturbing. No, no, no, please subscribe. And let's dig into ha ha, it's me, Grunty Boi. Brilliant, of course it is. What did you come to steal this time? Oh nothing. Only your happiness and peace of mind. Wait, wait, what? Yes, and I will do so by reminding you of three disturbing facts. The number one Pokémon will one day end. Number two, the only thing protecting us from the infinite vacuum of space is a relatively thin layer of air.

More Interesting Facts About,

if every gym leader got a new strongest pok mon...

And number three, two out of three men will experience some type of male pattern baldness by the time they are 35 years old. While you're definitely right about the first two being annoying, the third is less scary thanks to the sponsor of this video. , Maintains. Oh, come on. Why do you always seem to have the perfect rebuttal? But tell me more because I was honestly disturbed by that statistic. Keeps is the best and most economical way to preserve your hair. As they allow you to visit a doctor online to get a prescription for the only two FDA-approved hair loss products on the market.

And then those products are shipped directly to you and disposed of. Wow. I'm looking at your information right now and I'm impressed. I know people who have used those products before, but never at that price and definitely not with the convenience of staying home. I know right? But it is important to act quickly for this. The best way to prevent hair loss is to do something while you still have hair left. And the treatment can take four to six months to see results. So it's like the best way to keep your stuff from being stolen is to do something while you still have it.

Um, yeah, I guess that's technically correct. Well, the best thing for me is to convince the public otherwise in that sense, but that can wait. How do I review Keeps? I see they have more five star reviews than any of the competition. They are clearly up to the task. All you have to do to prevent hair loss is visit keep.com/mandjtv or click the link in the description below and you will get 50% off your first order. That's keep.com/mandjtv. Okay, I'm going to go see them. Oh, one more thing before I go. Just a friendly reminder that you defeated the first shiny Pokémon you encountered and you'll never get it back.
You're a sick son of a bitch... Ta-ta! (groans) Anyway, big thanks to Keeps for sponsoring this video, but now let's dive into giving all the Gym Leaders new aces. The first is Brock, whose

strongest

Pokémon is the iconic Onix. You could say he is ic-Onix. (laughs) And

every

one closed the video, damn it. I think Onix suits Brock very well. Despite his large, intimidating appearance, he has no preevolutions. This allowed them to put a big, intimidating Pokémon in the first gym of the game, which I think does a great job of making the introduction to the gym challenge exciting.
Of all the Kanto rock types, I think Onix fits the best, but if I had to choose another, I'd go with Graveler, who would later become Golem for any rematch. Graveler does a good job of representing rock, unlike fossils, which don't actually have much visible rockiness in their appearance. Furthermore, his total base stat is very close to Onix's. They would have to give him a Graveler that is below his evolution level, but there are tons of examples of that in Pokémon. So who cares? Next is Misty, whose ace is Starmie. Starmie is a solid ace, but I personally never found her to be that interesting of a Pokémon because, as Ash pointed out in the original series, she doesn't have a face, guys.
It's a little weird. I think she would be cool if her ace was a Gyrados. She uses one in the anime several times and it would be possible in the Pokémon level of her gym from the early 1920s. It would make the battle quite difficult, since it's not weak to Grass and there are very limited Electric types available before the battle in Misty's gym, but... I care more about coolness than game balance for this, so I'm sorry. Next up is Lieutenant Surge, whose ace is Raichu. It's always baffled me a little that this big, intimidating military man has a small, rather cute Pokémon as his ace.
Admittedly, it's a bit fun, but I also think a more intimidating Pokémon would have worked better. Instead, I suggest Electabuzz because, after all, they have the same angry eyes. Plus, he looks, they even shake hands at cards. It is clear that this is how it should be. They missed a great opportunity here. Next is Erika, whose ace is Vileplume. Since Erika is a flower arranging expert, Vileplume is a perfect fit since it's mostly about flowers. Of the remaining Kanto Grass types, I think the next best ace is Venusaur. He's a starter, which I don't like giving to gym

leader

s, but he's the only other one that has any kind of flower as part of his biology.
Next up is Koga, who, well? He doesn't have one. In Red and Blue, Fire Red and Leaf Green, the

strongest

of him is Weezing. In Yellow and Let's Go, his strongest is Venomoth, except in the rematch in Let's Go when he becomes Muk. And then as a member of the elite four, in the Johto games, he is Crobat. So I don't have any thoughts about his ace because he doesn't have one. So if I had to assign one, it would be Golbat. He's a fast Poison-type, which works well with the ninja thing about him. Because I guess he's very fast.
Plus, it also makes Crobat's ace in the sequel to the Johto games make a lot more sense. Next up is Sabrina, whose ace is Alakazam. This is a big ace since she is a strong and intimidating psychic type, which suits her reputation as one of the most powerful and intimidating gym

leader

s. I don't think any other type of Kanto Psychic would work better, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Starmie. Misty no longer uses it and it's the only one available that doesn't look at least somewhat derpy. Sabrina needs a strong and fearsome ace.
I can't let him hang around with Jynx or Mr. Mime. Next up is Blaine, whose ace is Arcanine in the Kanto games. He was changed to Rapidash in the Johto games. I have no idea why. Arcanine is a big ace since, for the second to last gym, the strongest Pokémon should be a big, strong Pokémon. But if I had to change it, Magmar would. It was his ace many years ago in the anime, and while it doesn't look as cool as Arcanine, it looks like a Pokémon an old fool would use. Finally for Kanto there is Giovanni.
His ace changes greatly depending on the game and battle, but in every battle in the Viridian City gym, his strongest Pokémon is Rhydon, with the exception of FireRed LeafGreen, where it's Rhyhorn, and I, why. Wow, it's the last gym, it's level 50, turn it into a Rhydon. What were they thinking? Rhydon is a great ace for the last gym since he is so big and powerful, but I also think making Nidoqueen or Nidoking his ace would also make sense. Nidoqueen would work especially well since it is their most powerful Pokémon in the Silph Co battle.
Let's move on to Johto now, starting with Falkner. And his ace is Pidgeotto, which is something I have a big problem with. This is a problem that many Johto Gym Leaders and some later region Gym Leaders have. His ace is a Pokémon that is not from his region. I know Johto and Kanto are more intertwined than any other pair of regions, but it's Johto, it's new, gym leaders should show off new Pokémon. I don't understand why they just gave him a normal Pidgeotto, which anyone who's been to Kanto has seen countless times. My vote is for Noctowl.
It's Johto's regional bird, so it fits perfectly into Johto's first gym. He's quite a bit stronger than Pidgeotto, but I don't really have a problem with that. That gym is already pretty easy. Next up is Bugsy, who finds himself in a somewhat strange situation. His ace is Scyther, which is not a Johto Pokémon, but it eventually evolves into Scizor, which is a Johto Pokémon. However, I can't really say that his ace should be Scizor from the beginning because it would be too strong and too difficult a Pokémon to fight in the second gym of the game.
Well, you'd be fine if you chose Cyndaquil, but with the other two, you'd be screwed. Instead, Heracross would solve that problem. It is as strong as Scyther and Scizor, is a Johto Pokémon, and does not have an overpowered defensive type like Scizor. One flaw with Heracross is that it doesn't learn a bug move at a low enough level, but I can do whatever I want and I think I should. Does he get Fury Cutter only as an Emerald tutor move? Why not let him learn it later? It has spikes on its arms and a horn.
Next up is Whitney with the infamous Miltank of hers. As much as I hate that thing, she fits in pretty well. The concept of a cutesy, seemingly cheerful gym leader in Pokémon actually being brutally difficult is great. Infuriating, but great. If I had to have a different ace, what makes sense to me is Blissey, another cute pink Johto Normal type. Honestly, if Whitney had been introduced in Generation Six or later, I think she probably would have been made into a Fairy-type gym leader, not a Normal type. So I chose a Normal type Pokémon that looks like it could be a Fairy type.
Next is Morty, whose ace is Gengar. Unfortunately, Morty's situation is difficult since there are very few types of Ghosts in Generations One and Two. I think Gengar suits him, but he's not a Johto Pokémon. Johto Ghost's only type is Misdreavus, but I don't think that suits him. I guess it's my only option, so there you have it. Next up is Chuck, whose ace is Poliwrath and whose other Pokémon is Primeape. He then he is a Johto Gym Leader with two Kanto Pokémon. I don't know why they did this. Maybe because they didn't give these types of fights to Bruno, which was also a strange decision.
I just do not know. Anyway, I think Poliwrath doesn't fit very well. So I think his ace should be Hitmontop. It's one of the only two fully evolved new fighting types in Johto and I already gave Bugsy Heracross. I think a less cute Fighting type would work better for it, but this is my only option if I want to stay committed to giving it a Johto Pokémon. Next up is Jasmine and her ace is Steelix. Steelix fits in perfectly as he is very strong and fearsome, which is a fun contrast to her kind and friendly demeanor.
I think it's the best option, but if I had to choose another one, I'd go with Skarmory, a less intimidating, but still strong-looking Steel-type. Side note: I think it's extremely dumb that they didn't give him a Skarmory on his team, anywhere on his team. It's a new Johto Steel type that they didn't give to the Steel type gym leader. And no one else uses it. You don't give him a Skarmory but give it to Magnemites? That? Next up is Pryce, whose Piloswine ace fits perfectly since he is a reasonably strong Johto Ice-type. However, if I had to change it, I'd go with Sneasel, because the only other fully evolved Johto Ice type is Delibird, which is so hopelessly weak that, in my opinion, no Gym Leader should use it, much less have it. like his ace.
Next up is Clair, whose ace is Kingdra. This fits perfectly because it is the only option. The only Dragon-type Pokémon in the first two generations of Pokémon are Dratini Dragonair, Dragonite, and Kingdra, that's it. That's the complete list. So to give you an alternative ace, I have to go with Dragonair. It is the only option. But that's a Kanto Pokémon and I don't want to do that. Oh my god, this alternate ending suggests that no, it's garbage. Kingdra is the right Pokémon for her. Moving on to Hoenn, we'll start with Roxanne. Her ace is Nosepass, which I think is a decent ace.
I'm not much into Pokémon, but her compass inspiration works well with her academic theme. However, if I had to change it, I would choose Anorith becoming Armaldo for the rematch. Her gym is full of fossils and fossils can be revived literally across the street, so it makes a lot of sense. Lileep is also an option, but I think Anorith seems more like something prehistoric, while Lileep is just a strange plant. I should mention that giving him Anorith or Lileep would make his gym a little more difficult because Anorith's bug moves would be good against Treecko and Lileep's grass moves would be good against Mudkip, but like I said, I'm not that worried about the balance of the game . .
I just go with what I think would be cool. Next up is Brawly, whose ace is Makuhita, then Hariyama for a rematch. I always thought this was a strange match since Brawley is a fit surfer and training partner while Makuhita is chubby. I mean, he's very strong, I'm sure, but I don't think he's using the treadmills at his gym.As an alternative, I suggest Breloom. Shroomish evolves at a low enough level for it to work, being 23, and feels like a more athletic Pokémon. Also, I quite like Breloom. I also considered Medicham, but he evolves too late and Meditite, while on his team in Emerald is fine, I don't think he would work well as an ace.
Next is Wattson, who is the ace in Ruby, Sapphire, OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire is Magneton, but in Emerald it is Manectric. I've always hated this. Wattson is the leader of the Hoenn Electric type gym, however, they decided that it would be a good idea to convert not only his ace, but his entire team into Kanto Electric types. What were they thinking? Electrical and Mains are there. Make them on his team and make Manectric his ace. They did that in Emerald, which was cool, but then they went back to not having Manectric on their team in OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire, which is just (groans).
Magneton is their de facto ace as it is their strongest Pokémon in four of the five games, so my alternative suggestion is Manectric. That's what's in Emerald and that's the right one. Next is Flannery whose ace is Torkoal. This is a solid option for her in my opinion, but if I had to change it, it would have to be Camerupt, as it is the only other fully evolved Hoenn Fire type option besides Blaziken and Sunny Castform. Hell yeah! Or I guess sun, yes. Camerupt's ace conflicts with Maxie, so I don't think it fits as well as Torkoal, but I think Camerupt still works at least decently well.
Next is Norman, whose ace is Slaking. Slaking is a big ace, as he allows them to show off a Pokémon that doesn't get much attention elsewhere. However, I think a good alternative would be Exploud. It's a fierce-looking Normal-type that evolves from a small, cute Normal-type found not far from Petalburg, which is like Slaking. Next is Winona, whose ace is Altaria. This is a big ace and it suits her well as both she and Altaria have elegant appearances. I think she is the best option, but the second best would be Swellow. She doesn't look as elegant or as strong, but it still fits her well, plus she was her ace in the anime.
Next up are Tate and Liza, their aces are Solrock and Lunatone and they fit in perfectly. They're dual-fighting twins, so it makes sense that their aces are Pokémon counterparts. A good alternative pairing for them would be Gardevoir and Gallade. Wait, actually, that's not just a good alternative, it's an awesome alternative. It doesn't work on Generation Three, but who cares? Can you imagine fighting Gardevoir and Gallade side by side in a battle? That would be great. Oh my god, they absolutely need to do this. Next up is Wallace, whose ace is Milotic. Milotic is a fantastic fit for him, as it is a strong water Pokémon that is almost as fabulous as him.
However, if I had to choose an alternative, I think Gorebyss would be interesting. It is another female serpentine Pokémon, like Milotic. Milotic is definitely better, but Gorebyss would be fine. Finally for Hoenn is Juan, whose ace is Kingdra. That godforsaken Kingdra who just spams Double Team, ugh. I don't like Kingdra as his ace since it's not a Hoenn Pokémon and it's the same ace as the 8th gym leader in the region immediately before it. Instead, I suggest, well, Milotic. It's his ace in the anime, Juan is almost as fabulous as Wallace and Wallace doesn't use it anymore.
Now we go to Sinnoh, starting with Roark, whose ace is Cranidos and then Rampardos for rematches. And he's a big ace. She fits his mining profession, wears a helmet like him, and makes a good combination with his father, Byron, Bastiodon's ace. I don't want to change his ace, but if I had to, I would literally have to change it to Shieldon since the only other Gen Four Rock types are either too strong for the first gym, like Rhyperior or Probopass, or they are Bonsly and that's it. I finished the list. Gardenia's ace is Roserade, which I think fits well since it's not an intimidating or scary Pokémon, but it can kick some serious butt in battle like her.
However, I think another equally good option would be Leafeon, since she has the same non-scary but strong thing and it's quite logical for her to have it since Mossy Rock is in the nearby forest. Fantina's ace is Mismagius. At least it's before his rematch, when he turns into Gengar and Mismagius fits in perfectly. Fantina almost looks like a Mismagius in the long, flowing dress. However, another option would be Drifblim, since the plus sign on her dress is the same as Drifblim's plus sign and the four hair bumps on her. Well, they remind me of the four bumps from Driftblim.
Next is Maylene, whose ace is Lucario. She's a Sinnoh Fighting type, so it works well. But I think Lucario is pretty overdone. Instead, I would make her ace Gallade to show a new evolution of Fighting-type Sinnoh. But Lucario works too. Next up is Crasher Wake, whose ace is Floatzel. Floatzel is a perfect fit for Wake. His Platinum elf is even doing the same pose as him. Clearly that's the case, but if I had to suggest an alternative, I'd say East Sea Gastrodon. Most of the Gastrodon and Shellos found up to this point in history have been the Western Sea, so it might be fun for the player to be surprised by the blue.
Next is Byron, whose ace is Bastiodon, which as I already mentioned, I think suits him perfectly. I already changed Roark's to Shieldon's, but I can't give it to Byron Rampardos because he's not a Steel type. So I think that whole couple is outside the window. I think a good alternative would be Probopass since his Rock-Steel type is the same as Bastiodon and offers a nod to Byron's mining career. Next is Candice, whose ace is Abomasnow in Diamond and Pearl, but Froslass in Platinum. Of these two, I think Froslass fits the best, but if I had to choose a completely new one, I would go with Glaceon.
Like Gardenia with Leafeon, Candice doesn't live far from the rock of evolution. Plus, she has the same pigtails as her, so it's fun. Finally in Sinnoh there is Volkner whose ace is Luxray in Diamond and Pearl and Electivire in Platinum. I think they both work very well and I don't really have a preference for one over the other. But if I had to choose a totally new one, I would choose Magnezone. Being a machine, it fits well with the mechanisms of your gym. Now in Unova, starting with Chile, Cress and Cilan, whose aces are the monkey trio, so it's basically impossible to find another trio that pulls off the same type of triangle trick unless you give them the Unova headlines.
There you have it, I solved it. It's definitely worse, but I had to put something in there. Cheren's ace is Lillipup, later Stoutland as a partner in multiple battles and revenges. This one is solid, but I feel like his ace should have been Tranquill rather than the Unfezant that he ends up using on his team as a rival in Black and White. Lenora's ace is Watchog, which I never liked mainly because I don't like Watchog. However, I also don't like that his typography specialty is Normal. Lenora is the director of a museum. It's a really cool job, but do they have the typographic specialty of it just being Normal?
What, why isn't it Rock so he can use the fossils or something? I just don't do it, that's weird. Anyway, it's hard for me to choose since I don't think any of the normal Unova guys are cool enough to suit the director of a damn museum, but I guess I'll go with Deerling, who later becomes Sawsbuck. It's definitely more of a Grass type than a Normal type, but maybe it would be a cool way to show off the function of Unova's seasons. Roxie's ace is Whirlipede, who later becomes Scolipede. This is the best option for her, since of the few Unova Poison types, Scolipede is the coolest and Roxie is pretty cool.
If I had to choose another, I choose Trubbish or Garbodor over Foongus and Amoonguss. Garbodor simply fits the grunge basement concert vibe better than a silly mushroom. Burgh's ace is Leavanny, who works well due to her position as an artist due to Leavanny's expert weaving skills. However, if I had to change it, I would choose Accelgor for the very well thought out and deeply analyzed reason of the fact that Accelgor's head matches Burgh's pants. Elesa's ace is Zebstrika, which is obviously great since Zebstrika is great. But if I were to change it up, I think making one of her Emolgas her ace instead of Zebstrika would work pretty well.
Clay's ace is Excadrill, which is perfect. He runs a digging, logging and mining operation and all Excadrill does is dig. However, an alternative would be Krokorok or perhaps a lower leveled Krookodile. He doesn't fit in as well, but he's decent. Skyla's ace is Swanna, who I never thought was a perfect fit. Skyla is a cargo pilot and Swanna seems too weak for that kind of job. If Skarmory were a Unova Pokémon, I'd give her that and she has one in Black 2 and White 2, but since she has to be a Unova Pokémon in Black and White, I'll make her her ace Braviary, a strong, tough Pokémon that can withstand strong winds and the speeds associated with flying next to a damn airplane.
Next up is Brycen, whose ace is Beartic. This works well, but I also think Cryogonal would be a good ace for him. I actually thought Cryogonal was his strongest Pokémon before I double-checked, so clearly I think it works because that's what I thought it was. Next up are Drayden and Iris, grouped together because they have the same black and white teams and their ace is Haxorus. Haxorus is the best option for them, easily. And the only other option is Druddigon, since Hydreigon would be too strong before the Pokémon League. However, Haxorus definitely fits better than Druddigon.
Finally for Unova there is Marlon, whose ace is Jellicent, which I think is strange since he is an athletic swimmer and Jellicent is a floating mass. Since Skyla doesn't use it anymore, I think her new ace should be Swanna, since she's the more agile looking Unova Water type and isn't some small Basculin that can't function on land. Now we go to Kalos, starting with Viola, whose ace is Vivillon and, my goodness, this shouldn't be changed. The Vivillon line is the only new line of Bug-type Pokémon added in Kalos. There are Bug type Megas, but this is the first gym, that would be crazy.
So if I want to continue with my theme of making a gym leader from her region, Vivillon is literally the only option. But I'm committed to offering an alternative, so the alternative (stutters) is Butterfree. It's another butterfly. It shouldn't be Butterfree, but I have to say something. Next up is Grant, who doesn't have an ace. His two fossil Pokémon, Amaura and Tyrunt, have the same level. I guess we can say that his Tyrunt is his ace since he sends it second. So in that case, Amaura would be his alternate ace. Sorry, this one just isn't that interesting.
Next up is Korrina, who finds herself in a strange situation. Her ace is widely known as Mega Lucario, but she doesn't actually use her Mega Lucario in the gym battle. His ace in that battle is Hawlucha. If I were running things, I'd have her use the Mega Lucario in the gym battle. It wouldn't be an easy battle, but since you have Mega Evolution at that point in the game, I think it's only fair that Gym Leaders start using it as well. Next up is Ramos, whose ace is Gogoat. This is a good ace since it is a good Kalos Grass Pokémon.
I don't have a Mega suggestion for him since neither Mega Venusaur nor Mega Abomasnow really fit, so my alternate ace is Trevenant. Another Kalos Grass guy who works with him because he's old and Trevenant is dead. Next up is Clemont, whose ace is the proper Heliolisk, a good Kalos Electric type that isn't the disappointing Pika Dedenne clone. An alternate ace for him would be Mega Manectric, a pure electric Mega that works better for him than any other because he is the only electric specialist. Next is Valerie, whose ace is Sylveon, which is very appropriate. An alternate ace would be Mega Mawile, especially since he already has a Mawile.
It would be a very difficult battle, but it would be great since Kalos is too easy anyway. Next is Olympia, whose ace is the Meowstic woman. This is fine, but I think Mega Alakazam would be much more interesting. Finally for Kalos is Wulfric, whose ace is Avalugg. I've said in other videos that it's very ridiculous that the last gym leader didn't use a Mega, so his ace should have been 100% Mega Abomasnow, no contest. Next is the Alola region, which has no Gym Leaders, so I'll go over the Kahunas because they're basically Gym Leaders. First there's Hala, whose ace is Crabrawler as Kahuna, then Crabominable as a member of the Elite Four.
I'm not a fan of these Pokémon, but I don't think they're a bad fit either. I think a solid alternative for his ace would be Passimian. Next up is Olivia, whose ace is Midnight Lycanroc. I think a Pokémon with gems or crystals would have been better for her, like Gigalith, but since that's not an Alolan Pokémon, I'm sticking with Alolan Graveler, later Golem. The electrical aspects of them make me think of crystals. Next up is Nanu, whose ace is the Alolan Persian. I don't like this for him mainly because I don't like Alolan Persian.
So I suggest ace him being Alolan Muk, as it's a dark type Alolan form that I think is much cooler. Finally for Alola there is Hapu, whose ace is Mudsdale. This fits perfectly, since he has acountry atmosphere and Mudsdale is a horse. If I were forced to give you an alternative, it would be Palossand, the only other type in Alola Ground, but I'd prefer you stick with Mudsdale. Finally, we get to the Galar gym leaders and most of them have an ace that can Gigantamax. But since there are a limited number of Gigantamax Pokémon, for alternate aces, I'll go with a Gigantamax form or a Gen Eight Pokémon just because I'm limited in what I can do.
Milo's ace is initially Eldegoss, but becomes Gigantamax Flapple or Appletun, depending on the version. He clearly doesn't have a singular ace, so I'll say this: I think they could have given him Flapple or Appletun from the start. It would be a more difficult gym due to the Dragon type, but there is a big distance between getting your first Pokémon and fighting in the first gym in Sword and Shield. And to start, the gym is very easy, so challenge me. Next is Nessa, whose ace is Drednaw, who later becomes Gigantamax. This works well since it's a new Pokémon with a GMax form, but if we didn't need it to be a GMax Pokémon, then it would be cool to see Barraskewda use it, IMO.
Next up is Kabu, whose Gigantamax Centiskorch ace is a great fit. However, his alternate ace has to be GMax Coalossal. Not only is it the only other GMax form of Fire type that is not Charizard or Cinderace, but it is the only other fully evolved Fire type from Generation Eight besides Cinderace. Next is Bea, whose ace is Gigantamax Machamp. This makes sense since it's the only Fighting-type GMax form, but if she wasn't limited to one GMax form, I would have loved to see her ace be Grapploct. She uses it in the anime and I love that Pokémon too.
Next up is Allister, whose ace is Gigantamax Gengar. Again, it's the only Gigantamax Ghost form, so it makes sense, but I think it would have been cool to see him use a Galarian Ghost as Runerigus, since I'm very fond of him. Next is Opal, whose ace is Gigantamax Alcremie, which I think suits her quite well. There are actually two other Fairy-type Gigantamax options, Hatterene and Grimmsnarl, but they are used by Bede and Marnie, respectively. Instead, I think her ace might have been Galarian Rapidash. It has an equally distinguished appearance. Next up is Gordie, whose ace is Gigantamax Coalossal.
There are no other Rock-type GMax options other than Drednaw, who I assume Nessa no longer uses, but I still don't think he fits Gordie, so I'd like to see him use Stonjourner. Gordie is clearly trying too hard to be cool, so why not give him a cute, goofy Pokémon to balance that out? Next up is Melony, whose ace is Gigantamax Lapras. She works fine, but I would have chosen to have her ace be Frosmoth because she, well, she's dressed like Frosmoth. Next up is Piers, whose ace is the Obstagoon which fits perfectly. Seriously, he's a rocker and so is Obstagoon.
There are no better options, but since I have to give him one, I'll give him Grimmsnarl. They are both very hairy. Next up is Raihan, whose ace is Gigantamax Duraludon. This is fine, but honestly, it would have been cool to see him swing a Dragapult. It wouldn't make sense with the sandstorm thing, but I don't care because he's cool anyway. Next up is Marnie, who becomes gym leader after Piers. Her ace was Morpeko before she became Gigantamax Grimmsnarl. And I think she would have been nice if Morpeko had remained her ace and we could see her Dynamax.
Finally there's Bede, whose ace is Gigantamax Hatterene. Her new ace should be Galarian Weezing because he's toxic. Thank you so much for watching and a very special thanks to my patrons on Patreon, who are helping support my channel regardless of fluctuations in YouTube ad rates. If you want to help me in the same way, the link is in the description below. Also, if you want to see more fun Pokémon content, I recommend these videos here. Alright, that's all I have for now. So until next time, mega fans, we have to see you all.
