If Every Pokemon Gym Leader Was The Last One

May 31, 2021
- Greetings poke-fans. Michael here and one of my favorite moments from Pokémon Origins, the miniseries that chronicles Red's journey through the Kanto region appears in the first episode just before he fights Brock. Brock asks Red how many badges he has, and when Red replies that he doesn't have any, Brock selects only two Pokémon to battle Red, even though Red uses more. I love this scene because it explains a logically strange part of the main series games. Why do so many Gym Leaders who are professional trainers, whose job it is to be good at Pokémon battles, often have weak teams with very few Pokémon?
if every pokemon gym leader was the last one
Obviously the real answer is that otherwise the games would be incredibly difficult because you'd be fighting the first gym

leader

with a level 50 Pokémon and that would be stupid. But this snippet from Pokémon Origins provides a logical in-universe explanation for why this happens. The gym

leader

s see how many badges you, the player, have and then decide how hard of equipment they will use against you to make it fair. Obviously, there are exceptions where you can skip Brawly and Gen Three Hoenn. He comes back and fights them later with seven badges, he still has the same equipment he would have if he only had one.
if every pokemon gym leader was the last one

More Interesting Facts About,

if every pokemon gym leader was the last one...

But this is an in-universe explanation, not something that is always 100% true in the games themselves. I was thinking about what equipment the various gym leaders would have if they were the

last

one you fought. So you had seven gym badges and they could use their best equipment. So in this video, I'm going to give each Gym Leader in the main series a squad of six Pokémon that I think would make sense for them to use in an all-out final battle against Gym Leaders. Although I should probably mention that very few final Gym Leaders use six Pokémon.
if every pokemon gym leader was the last one
But I think they should use six Pokémon, so I'll give them six Pokémon anyway because it's more fun. Also, since the idea is that these are the final gym leaders, which is still before leadership and therefore still before you have the national Pokedex, I will limit their team lists to Pokémon that are available in your particular region. Pokedex. So for example, Lieutenant Surge may have Magneton but not Magnezone. As Magnezone is not in the Kanto Regional Pokedex. So don't forget to subscribe to my channel and let's start with the Kanto gym leaders. Starting, of course, with Brock.
if every pokemon gym leader was the last one
His team of six is pretty easy. The six fully evolved rock types of Kanto. Onyx, Golem, Omastar, Kabutops, Aerodactyl and Rhydon. Neither Steelix nor Rhyperior because of what I said about limiting their teams to their regional Pokedex. Also, something that's relevant to all Kanto Gym Leaders is that I'm building their teams as if you were fighting them in a Kanto match, not a post-game Johto match. I think it would be confusing to give them teams for both, and I think it makes sense to focus on their Kanto-exclusive teams since those were the games they debuted in.
One more thing I should mention that is true for all gym leaders. , is that I will try to give them Pokémon that they have used somewhere before. I tend to prioritize the Pokémon they use in the initial battles at the gym, but I can also choose Pokémon from the Pokémon World Tournament or rematches, for example. Next is Misty. His squad would consist of Starmie, Golduck, Lapras, Gyarados, Vaporeon, and Seaking. Starmie is obvious, Golduck and Lapras are from various places. Gyarados and Vaporeon are from his revenge team and Seaking that he used in the Pokémon World Tournament.
Next is Lieutenant Surge, whose team would be the fully evolved electric type in Kanto. Raichu, Electrode, Magneton, Electabuzz and Jolteon. Well, obviously Zapdos is also a fully evolved electric type in Kanto, but we can't give him a legendary, so he needs a repeat. Since Lieutenant Surge has used two electrodes on his gear before in the Johto games, I think a second electrode would make sense. Erika's team would consist of Vileplume, Parasect, Victreebel, Exeggutor, Tangela and Venusaur. The six types of grasses fully evolved in the Kanto region. I don't really want to give him Venusaur because I'd rather not give him gym leaders or elite four member starters if I can help it.
But I'd rather give it a start than a repeat, so Venusaur Erika can use it. Next up is Koga, remember this is him as a gym leader, not as an elite member four later. So some of the Pokémon he used on his four elite teams are no longer fair game because they're not in the original 151. His team would be Weezing, Muk, Venomoth, Golbat, Tentacruel and Arbok. The first five are all Pokémon that he has used as a Gym Leader at least once. Arbok is there because it is a type of pure poison that he has somehow never used.
And gee, I think he should use it. Arbok is a cool looking Pokémon. On the topic of Koga, that brings us to Janine. Janine is Koga's daughter who took over the Fuchsia City Gym after Koga moved up to the elite four. Janine is a special case compared to most Kanto gym leaders, because she only appeared in the Johto games. Granted, she specifically appeared in the cape games Black 2 and White 2. But she's never been a Kanto gym leader in a Kanto-exclusive game, which means

every

time she's been there, she's had access to Johto Pokémon. and you would fight it in a game where Johto Pokémon is part of the regional Pokedex.
Therefore, unlike most Kanto gym leaders, she can use Johto Pokémon. Her team would consist of Crobat, Weezing, Ariados, Venomoth, Tentacruel and Nidoqueen. The first four are species she uses in the initial battles and then Tentacruel and Nidoqueen are added because she used them in the Pokémon World Tournament. Next is Sabrina, and her team would be made up of fully evolved, non-legendary psychic-type Pokémon from the Kanto region, excluding Starmie. Gym Leaders can have duplicate Pokémon, that's fine, but I don't want anyone else to use the Gym Leaders' strongest Pokémon. So since Starmie is Misty's ace, I don't want Sabrina to use it.
Her team consists of Alakazam, Mister Mind, Hypno, Jinx, Slowbro and Exeggutor. I know she's had Venomoth before, but I won't give her Venomoth. She was so dumb that she ever had a Venomoth because there were so many other psychic types available. Blaine would have Arcanine, Rapidash, Nine Tails, Magmar, Flareon, and Charizard. This is another situation like Erika's. I don't want to give her a headline, but she's the only fully evolved fire-type left aside from Moltres. Obviously, she won't receive Moltres. She has to have a Charizard or repeat it. Next up is Giovanni, the

last

Gym Leader in a Kanto playthrough.
I guess technically his team is already acceptable, but like I said, I'll give him a team of six because it's more fun. And his teams are usually full of repetitions. I want to make them all unique this time. His team would consist of Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Dugtrio, Rhydon, Sandslash and Marowak. The first four are Pokémon that he has used before in Gym battles, while the last two are Ground-types that he has used in the Pokémon World Tournament. Without giving Persian away, the only reason he ever had a Persian is because of the damn anime. And it is not a terrestrial type.
The latest leader of Kanto is Blue, who already has a team of six Pokémon. I think she is the only final gym leader who actually has a full team of six. And you fight him after beating the Pokémon leader the first time. I think his HeartGold SoulSilver team is my favorite and the one I'd like him to stay with. His Gold, Silver, and Crystal team had Alakazam over Machamp, but as I mentioned before, I don't want someone else using a Gym Leader's ace. And Alakazam is Sabrina's ace. Also, yes, this means I've given Exeggutor to three Kanto gym leaders.
Sabrina, Erika and Azul. However, the idea is that these are the teams you would have if you fought them for the last time and you fought this particular one for the last time. Then the other two would fight first and then they wouldn't have Exeggutors. Now, let's move on to Johto's gym leaders, starting with Falkner. His squad would consist of Pidgeotto, Noctowl, Fearow, Dodrio, Murkrow and Xatu. Pidgeotto is his obvious ace, and the others were selected because he used them or the evolution of him in the Johto leader tournament at the Pokémon World Tournament. Furthermore, he also had Dodrio and Hoot Hoot in the anime.
Bugsy would have Scizor, Beedrill, Butterfree, Heracross, Pinsir, and Shuckle. The first three are your usual Gym Battle Pokémon that evolved, Pinsir and Heracross were used in their HeartGold SoulSilver rematch, and Shuckle was used several times in the Pokémon World tournament. I also considered giving him Fortitude, but Shuckle has more type variety, because otherwise he would have two types of steel sprout. Whitney (groans) would have Miltank, Clefable, who is now a fairy type, but you'd be fighting her in a game where she's still a normal type, so she's still fine here. Blissey, Wigglytuff, Lickitung and Girafarig.
Miltank and Clefable are from his original gym equipment and the other four were used elsewhere at least once. He's also used more intimidating or angry normal types like Tauros or Ursaring, but I personally feel like his team should stick to the cute or pink aesthetic that his original teams had. I specify pretty or pink because Miltank and Lickitung are just the latter. Next is Morty. Dear God, the first two generations didn't have enough types of ghosts. Literally the only fully evolved ghost types in the first two generations are Gengar and Misdreavus. That is. So for his team, things are going to get a little silly.
First, I give him two Gengar and two Misdreavus. Are you in bad shape? Two of each of them anyway, as there is precedent for Phoebe having two Dusclops and two Banettes in the third generation. For her final two Pokémon, I think she should have a Marowak, since she has ghostly bonds, and she even has a regional variant of ghost type, and then Weezing because she spends a lot of time in the burned tower. And coughing and vomiting are very common there, so it's likely that she has contracted one at some point. Chuck would have Poliwrath, Primeape, Machamp, and the three Hitmons.
The first two are from his battle in the gym, and the last four are the others that he used along with Primape and Poliwrath in the Johto leader's tournament in the Pokémon World Tournament. Jasmine would have Steelix, two Magneton, Scizor, Fortress and Skarmory. Steelix and her two Magneton are her leveled gym equipment and the other three are the only fully evolved steel types in Kanto and Johto. The limited number of types of steel makes two Magnetons necessary. Pryce would have Piloswine, Dewgong, Sneasel, Cloyster, Jinx and Lapras. The first two are gym Pokémon and the other four are the ones he used in the Pokémon World Tournament.
For Claire, there are not enough types of dragons. We're going to have to do what they did in previous generations and even sometimes in later generations where they were like, you know what? This Pokémon looks like a dragon, okay. Her team would consist of Kingdra, two Dragonites, Gyarados, Aerodactyl and Charizard. This is basically her HeartGold SoulSilver revenge team but with her Dragonair fully evolved. To Hoenn. Roxanne would have Nosepass in the third generation or Probopass in the sixth generation. Golem, Armaldo, Cradily, Agron and Relicanth. The first two come from her gym team and the other four are from her team in the Hoenn leader tournament at the Pokémon World Tournament.
There are other rock-type options in regional Hoenn decks, but since she's used them before, they work better. Brawly would have Hariyama, Machamp, Medicham, Breloom, Heracross, and Blaziken. Hariyama, Machamp, and Medicham are evolved Gym Pokémon, and the other three are the only fully evolved fighting types left in the Hoenn Pokedex. Well, actually, Gallade is there in the sixth generation. So for Gen 6, Brawly swaps out Blaziken for Gallade so he doesn't have to have a starter. Watson would have Manectric, Magneton or Magnezone depending on whether he is gen three or sixth, Electrode, Raichu, Plusle and Minun. The first three are, of course, gym Pokémon and the other three you've seen elsewhere.
In fact, in Horus, Plusle and Minun are shown living in his apartment. Flannery would have Torkoal, two Camerupt, Magcargo, Nine Tails, and Blaziken. The first four are gym Pokémon, including the duplicate Camerupt since I had a Numel and Camerupt on Emerald. While he has never had a Nine Tails, he is in the Hoenn and Blaziken regional decks, although sadly a starter, it is the only fully evolved fire type in the regional decks left. I don't like having to Blaziken both Flannery and Brawly since he's a starter, but I'd rather give them a Blaziken and repeat.
And Flannery already has a repeat. Norman's team would consist of Slaking, Spinda, Linoone, Exploud, Zangoose and Kecleon. The first three are from his Emerald gym team and the other three are from his Pokémon World Tournament roster. Winona's team would consist of Altaria, Skarmory, Pelipper,Swellow, Tropius and Crobat. The first five are from their gym teams and Crobat is a Pokémon from Hoenn regional decks that I chose rather arbitrarily. Of all the fully evolved flying types in the Hoenn regional decks that were left as options, so there were the bug types, Salamence, Dodrio, and Crobat, I felt that Crobat fit their aesthetic the best.
Well, there is also Gyarados, which he has used in the Pokémon World Tournament, but Gyarados, despite being the flying type, cannot fly. Honestly, I should never have been the flying type. Tate and Liza would have Solrock, Lunatone, Claydol, Xatu, Chimecho and Grumpig. The first four are from the gym equipment. Emerald's Claydol and Xatu, and Chimecho and Grumpig were used by them in the Pokémon World Tournament. The two actually compete separately in the PWT, but they both use Grumpig and Chimecho in the Hoenn Leaders Tournament. Juan would have Kingdra, Luvdisc, Whiscash, Walrein, Crawdaunt and Gorebyss.
The first five are his Emerald team, with the evolved Sealeo and the Gorebyss he used in the Pokémon World Tournament. Next is Wallace, who is in a strange situation because he is a gym leader and champion of the same generation. While his ultimate gym equipment could be his ultimate gym equipment, just made a little stronger, I think it would make more sense for him to use his champion equipment. Furthermore, he has already used that equipment as a gym leader before in the Horus post-game. As a reminder, that team consists of Wallord, Tentacruel, Ludicolo, Whiscash, Gyarados and Milotic.
It's time for the Sinnoh region. Now Sinnoh finds itself in a bit of a strange situation because its regional decks increased in size within the generation that Platinum came out. For the sake of simplicity, when I choose these Gym Leader teams, I allow myself to choose between the Platinum decks, not the more limited Diamond and Pearl decks. If it were limited to the Diamond and Pearl decks, we'd have problems like Flint, the elite four-fire type member, only having two fire types. Roark's team would consist of Rampardos, Onyx, Golem, Rhyperior, Probopass and Sudowoodo. The first three are from his gym, and the other three are the remaining fully evolved rock types in Sinnoh decks.
The only one of them he's never used before is Rhyperior. Gardenia's team would be the same as your PWT's Sinnoh Tournament Leaders team. Roserade, Cherrim, Torterra, Carnivine, Leafeon and Tangrowth. Normally I wouldn't choose to give him Torterra, since, like I said, I don't like giving starters to gym leaders. I'd give him something else in Sinnoh decks, like Wormadam or Grass-type Tropius, but he's had Turtwig in all of his early gym battles. So if he's already there, it's fair. Fantina would have Mismagius, Drifblim, Gengar, Dusknoir, Spiritomb and Rotom. The first four are from gym battles and Spiritomb and Rotom that he used in the PWT.
I considered giving her Froslass, but since that's Candace's ace in Platinum, I didn't think she should have it. Maylene would have Lucario, Machamp, Medicham, Toxicroak, Gallade and Heracross. The first three are from her battles in the gym. Toxicroak and Gallade are used in the PWT and Heracross is the last fully evoked non-starter fighting type in Sinnoh decks. She's used Infernape on the PWT before, but like I said, she'd rather not give them starters. Wake's team would consist of Floatzel, Gyarados, Quagsire, Lumineon, Gastrodon and Bibarel. The first three are from her gym. Lumineon and Gastrodon used them on the PWT and Bibarel, because I want to see a gym leader use a Bibarel.
Sinnoh decks have a ton of water type options, but Bibarel is the only fully evolved 4th generation water type that is neither starter nor legendary. So for me, I think a generation four leader should use a generation four water type, and Bibarel is just dumb and I want to see him use it. Byron's team would consist of Bastiodon, Steelix, Magnezone, Bronzong, Probopass and Scizor. The first four are evolved Gym Pokémon, and the last two are Steel types in Sinnoh decks that you've never used but absolutely could. Candace's team would consist of Froslass, Weavile, Mamoswine, Abomasnow, Glaceon and Glalie.
This is actually the exact team he uses in the PWT, made up of the six fully evolved ice types in the Sinnoh decks. Volkner would have Electivire, Luxray, Jolteon, Raichu, Rotom and Pachirisu. The first four are gym equipment. Rotom that he uses in the PWT and Pachirisu is a fourth generation electric type. I could have given him Magnezone, but since Byron uses Magnezone and no Gym Leaders use Pachirisu, I thought I'd spread the love and give him Pachirisu. Moving on to the fifth generation, and just like in the fourth generation, I will use the most expanded decks possible.
In this case, the Pokedex Unova Black 2 and White 2. It's more fun to have more options. Cilan would have Simisage, Ferrothorn, Maractus, Whimsicott, Lilligant, and Tangrowth. The first three are used in the Black 2 White 2 post-game. Whimsicott and Lilligant are used in the PWT and Tangrowth was chosen because it is a grass type in the Black 2 White 2 decks. There are other options, but I wanted to save them for others gym leaders. Chili's team would consist of Simisear, Heatmor, Darmanitan, Arcanine, Magmortar and Camerupt. This is the team of six he uses in the Unova leader tournament, so there is precedent for all of them, especially the first three he uses in the later game Black 2 White 2.
Cress' team would consist of Simipour, Basculin, Golduck, Azumarill, Floatzel and Octillery. The first two are used in the post-game Black 2 White 2, the next three are used in the Pokémon World Tournament. And Octillery was chosen among the rest of the Unova decks for being a pure water type. Therefore, he has no way to overlap with any other leader. Apart from Marlin, but Marlin is fine. You'll see when I get to him that I was actually able to give him and Cress completely unique equipment. Lenora's team would consist of Watchog, Audino, Sawsbuck, Dunsparce, Clefable and Slaking. Cheren's team would consist of Stoutland, Cinccino, Zangoose, Bouffalant, Lickilicky and Raticate.
These two were a bit tricky since they have the same type of specialty, like Cress and Marlin. But he wanted his teams to be completely unique. So, I gave them each their respective aces, Watchog for Lenora and Stoutland for Cheren. Then four Pokémon that they use in the PWT at some point and then one last normal type that is in the Black 2 White 2 Unova decks that they have never used before, but can use now. These are Raticate for Cheren and Slaking for Lenora. Roxy would have Scolipede, Weezing, Muck, Garbodor, Amoonguss and Crobat. The first three are from her battle in the gym with Grimer only appearing in challenge mode, and the last three are from equipment he uses in the PWT.
Burgh would have Leavanny, Crustle, Escavalier, Accelgor, Durant and Vespiquen. The first four are evolved members from his challenge mode gym battle in Black 2 White 2, and the last two he uses in the PWT. Elesa would have Zebstrika, Emolga, Ampharos, Galvantula, Eelektross and Stunfisk. The first four are from his Black 2 White 2 challenge mode gym battle, while the other two are added to the Pokémon World Tournament. Clay would have Excadrill, Krookodile, Seismitoad, Sandslash, Steelix and Golurk. The first five are evolved Gym Battle Pokémon from various games and modes, and Golurk is my favorite Pokémon used in the PWT.
Plus Flygon, but that one is going to Drayton. Skyla would have Swanna, Unfezant, Swoobat, Sigilyph, Braviary, and Mandibuzz. The first four are various gym Pokémon and Braviary and Mandibuzz are from the PWT. Brycen would have Beartic, Vanilluxe, Cryogonal, Walrein, Weavile, and Dewgong. The first three are from their gym battle in Black and White, and the last three are from the PWT. Drayden would have two Haxorus, Haxosori? Flygon, Druddigon, Altaria and Hydreigon. The first four are from his various gym battles and the last two are used in the PWT. For Iris, like Wallace, we've already seen her use a full six-person team.
So if she were the final gym leader and had a full team of six, she would think it would be the same as her champion team. Marlin would have Jellicent, Carracosta, Wailord, Mantine, Alomomola and Starmie. The first four are from her Gym Battle Challenge Mode, and the last two are the ones she uses in the PWT. That ends the fifth generation. Which means we can no longer use the PWT as a reference for team members. It's time to be a little more creative. To start the sixth generation, Viola would have Vivillon, Masquerain, Yanmega, Scolipede, Escavalier and Mega Pinsir.
In a previous video I talked about how I think the last Gym Leader in X and Y should have had a Mega Evolution because you had fought at least one Mega Evolution before that. So with the Kalos gym leaders, if you were fighting them last, I think they should have a mega. So I give you all a mega. Vivillon and Masquerain have used them before and the other four are chosen from Kalos decks based on my own preferences. Grant would have Tyrantrum, Aurorus, Barbaracle, Gigalith, Agron, and Mega Aerodactyl. The first two are from a gym battle and the last four were chosen by me.
In my opinion, Mega Aerodactyl is the obvious mega choice for him, as it is another prehistoric Pokémon. Korrina would have Hawlucha, Mienshao, Machamp, Pangoro, Toxicroak and Mega Lucario. He has used all but Pangoro and Toxicroak before. Toxicroak is chosen rather arbitrarily, but Pangoro is a must since it's a 6th generation Pokémon and she's a 6th generation leader. Ramos would have Gogoat, Victreebel, Jumpluff, Trevenant, Gourgeist and Mega Venusaur. The first three are from his gym, Trevenant and Gourgeist are 6th generation grass types and Mega Venusaur is the only mega X and Y available. There is only one other grass type mega evolution and it is Mega Abomasnow and I am saving it for Wulfric.
Clemont would have Heliolisk, Magnezone, Emolga, Dedenne, Lantern and Mega Manectric. The first three are from the gym. The Dedenne is a sixth generation electric type. I like Lantern and Mega Manectric because in my fictional X and Y, Drasna uses Mega Ampharos. Valerie would have Sylveon, Mr Mime, Florges, Slurpuff, Aromatisse and Mega Mawile. The first two are from the gym battle. The next three are fairies from the sixth generation, and Mega Mawile is your gym Mawile who can now go mega. Olympia would have female Meowstic, Sigilyph, Slowking, male Meowstic, Malamar, and Mega Alakazam. The first three are from her gym.
The next two are 6th generation psychic types and yes, I think you should have a female and a male Meowstic because while they are the same species, they look very different and have very different moves and are just different. . And Mega Alakazam was chosen instead of Mega Medicham because she almost exclusively uses special attackers and Mega Medicham is a physical attacker. Wulfric would have Avalugg, Cryogonal, Mamoswine, Beartic, Glaceon, and Mega Abomasnow. The first two are from his gym. The next three are mostly arbitrarily chosen from the ice types of Kalos decks, and lastly is his mega-improved Abomasnow.
Now we reach the seventh generation and, as you probably know, there are no Gym Leaders. So instead, I'll talk about the Island Kahunas because they behave very similarly. Additionally, as with generations four and five, I will be using the most expanded decks available, the Ultra-Sun and Ultra-Moon Alola decks. Hala would have Hariyama, Machamp, Beware, Poliwrath, Crabominable, and Passimian. The first five are her Pokémon link team, then Passimian is added since it is a generation seven fighting type. Olivia would have Midnight Lycanroc, Probopass, Gigalith, Armaldo, Cradily, and Alolan Golem. This team is a combination of their league teams in Sol y Luna and Ultra-Sol y Luna.
Nanu would have Sableye, Krookodile, Honchkrow, Absol, Alolan Persian, and Alolan Muck. This team is your Sun and Moon post-game team with Alolan Muck added. Hapu would have Alolan Dugtrio, Gastrodon, Krookodile, Flygon, Mudsdale and Golurk. This team is an amalgamation of their title defense teams in Sun and Moon and Ultra-Sun and Ultra-Moon. Now it's time for the current eighth generation, Pokémon Sword and Shield. I'll say right up front that I won't be covering Bead or Marnie because while they end up being Gym Leaders, they aren't until the main story is completed. So you have no possible way to fight them as the final gym leader.
In Sword, Milo would have Gigantamax Flapple, Shiftry, Eldegoss, Bellossom, Cherrim, and Whimsicott. In Shield, Flapple would be an Appletun and Shiftry would be Ludicolo. The first five are from their Champions Cup revenge team, and then Whimsicott is added to fit their cute round grass aesthetic. Nessa would have Gigantamax Drednaw, Golisopod, Pelipper, Seaking, Toxapex, and Barraskewda. This team is a combination of their first time and revenge champion cup teams. Kabu would have Gigantamax Centiskorch, Torkoal, Nine Tails, Arcanine, Salazzle, and Heatmor. The first five are from their Champions Cup rematch team, and Heatmor was selected from the Galar decks.
Bea would have Gigantamax Machamp, Falinks, Grapploct, Sirfetch'd, Hawlucha, and Pangoro. This is a combination of your champion cup team and your starting battle team in thegym. Allister would have Gigantamax Gengar, Runerigus, Corsola, Polteageist, Mimikyu, and Dusknoir. This team takes Pokémon from both their initial gym battle and their champion cup battles. Opal would have Gigantamax Alcremie, Mawile, Galarian Weezing, Togekiss Ribombee, and Slurpuff. The first four are from their gym battle, and the last two are the fairy type that Bead doesn't use. Gordie would use Gigantamax Coalossal, Tyranitar, Stonjourner, Shuckle, Barbaracle, and Sudowoodo. The first five are from their Champions Cup revenge team, and Sudowoodo was added to them.
Melanie would have Gigantamax Lapras, Galarian Darmanitan, Eiscue, Mr. Rime, Frosmoth, and Arctozolt. The first five are from his champion cup team, and Arctozolt was chosen because he is one of only two generation eight ice types that he doesn't use. The other is Arctovish, but Arctozolt seems more icy. Finally there's Raihan, and for his gym battle team, it doesn't really matter if they're dragon type or not. They just have to be bad, monster-looking, good-in-sandstorm Pokémon, because that's clearly the theme of their starting gym battle team. He would give you Gigantamax Duraludon, Flygon, Gigalith, Sandaconda, Tyranitar, and Steelix.
The first four are his original gym team and the last two are, as I mentioned, slashing monster-looking Pokémon that perform well in the arena. So there we have it. This is a full team of six for each Gym Leader in the main series games so far. Thank you all so much for watching, and a very special thanks to my Patreon patrons, who are helping support my channel regardless of YouTube's ad rate fluctuations. If you want to help me in the same way, the link is in the description below. Also, if you want to see more fun Pokémon content, I recommend these videos here.
Alright, that's all I have for now. So until next time in advance, I have to catch you all.
