We see a vandal vandalizing Gotham's central bank. But he stops for a moment as soon as he sees a police helicopter. But once the helicopter moves away, he notices the bat signal in the clouds. And that's when you drop the spray can! So seeing a police helicopter didn't stop him, but seeing the Bat-Signal, he lost his mind with fear! Number 2: When Riddler posts his execution of Officer Colson, t

were a lot of people commenting on the stream. Now all the comments are in favor of Riddler! Some even call him Riddy! And some ask "where is the bomb squad during lunch?" And some people are talking to each other and one says "the anticipation is killing me" and the response is "don't you mean the anticipation is going to kill... him?" And there are some brutal comments too, but of all the comments made on this stream, only one was made against Riddler.

Where someone with the username "TrustDaSystem" says "Don't do it Riddler, I want real proof, we deserve it." Number 3: When Batman is taken to the police station after this explosion, some police officers try to remove his mask. Now watch the way Batman retaliates here! He spins his cape exactly like Batman does in the Batman Arkham Knight video game. Here is a side by side comparison where he is clearly visible! This is the first Cape Stun in any of the live-action Batman films. Number 4: One of my favorite moments that really established the idea that this was a Year 2 Batman was when Batman escaped the police station using his flying suit.

I love how you know he's coming and then you're like, "Holy shit, he's really going to pull off some major superhero stuff right now," but you pull the parachute at the wrong time and totally screw up the landing. Batman Year 2 is a year where he was still learning and this movie made sure to stick to the source material and therefore he couldn't really stick the landing on it! But this is a Batman who learns very quickly. So we should expect to see him land and perform a takedown in Batman Part 2. In other words,

what

ever flaws he had in this movie, like this crash landing or not being able to solve the Riddler's ciphers without Alfred's help. , they won't be there in the next movie.
Number 5: When Penguin spots Batman sneaking up on him, he starts shooting at Batman and Catwoman. Now notice that Batman takes a bullet to the head but his helmet, of course, protects him! He then quickly uses his hand to block the other shots. Some of which would still reach his face if he hadn't raised his arm! This clarifies 2 things for me. Batman gets shot in the face, but his helmet actually protects him and 2) The Penguin has a really good aim! Number 6: After Batman and Gordon interrogate the Penguin, they abandon him, still tied up. This results in the penguin walking away like a real penguin.
Number 7: Bruce Wayne keeps track of his crime-fighting progress in a journal titled The Gotham Project and the voiceover near the beginning of the film turns out to be Batman's thoughts recorded in his journal. Now, in The Black Casebook by Grant Morrison, Batman also keeps a record of his cases. So, no one can accuse the Dark Knight of not being diligent. And just today James Gunn announced THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, inspired by Grant Morrison's comics. These will be the new Batman and Robin of the DCU in this unusual father-son story. Number 8: At the beginning of the movie, when Alfred helps Bruce crack one of the Riddler's ciphers, Bruce had just woken up from his dream.
Now, if you notice, as Bruce approaches Alfred, the sunlight hits his face directly and, for a split second, his eyes struggle to adjust to the sunlight. And that's why he puts on his sunglasses even though he's inside his own living room! This subtle move indicates how much Bruce has missed trying to be Batman! He's been Batman for so long that he hasn't even appeared in broad daylight as Bruce Wayne and when he does, his eyes hurt! This was a very good performance by Robert Pattinson. Now, I'd also like to mention the fact that when Pattinson's Batman steps out into the light of day, he's never in his full Batman costume.
He hides his face with a helmet or scarf and wears a visor, never the full costume! This is taken directly from Batman Year One, where he made it a point to never wear the Batsuit except at night. Number 9: When the police catch Riddler at a corner diner, they find several ID cards in his pocket. One of them says "Patrick Parker", which is an alias he has also used in the comics. Number 10: When attending the mayor's funeral, Bruce Wayne is seen driving a 1963 C2 Corvette. In the 1970s, popular Batman comic book artist Neal Adams illustrated a Batmobile inspired by this Corvette.
So if you're a long-time fan of Batman comics, you should have caught that reference right away! Number 11: One of the Riddler videos reveals that during Thomas Wayne's mayoral election campaign, reporter Edward Elliot discovered that Wayne's wife, Martha, had spent time in Arkham State Hospital due to mental illness. and planned to reveal it to the world. But Thomas Wayne, not caring about his political career and only caring about his wife and his son Bruce, went to mobster Carmine Falcone and asked him to put "the fear of God" in Elliot to avoid to publish his story. Now, Thomas Elliot in the comics becomes the murderer known as "Hush." The film even has the word "Hush" over a photo of Elliot when he talks about the money he rejected from Thomas Wayne.
This is probably a hint that his son will appear in the future to take revenge on Bruce Wayne for his father's sins. Number 12: The green substance Batman injects into himself to save Selina, apparently causing him to become more powerful, bears a striking similarity to the drug "Venom." Now, a Batman villain, Bane, also uses a similar substance to increase his ferocity and strength. . Number 13: This is my favorite detail in the movie. If you've seen the movie, you already know that towards the end, the Riddler, also known as Edward Nashton, shot Carmine Falcone from the window of his apartment.
But

what

if I told you that the fact that Edward Nashton lived here right across from the Iceberg Lounge was already revealed at the 31st minute mark of the movie? That's right, when Selina takes a taxi home, we get a wide shot of the scene and there, if you pay attention, you can see Edward Nashton taking photos of the Iceberg Lounge. So if you think about it, had Batman researched these images enough and tried to figure out where exactly Riddler took these photos from? the movie would have been over in 30 minutes and Batman would have been the world's greatest detective.
Now there are a few more details I noticed, which aren't exactly visual details but very crucial points in the movie, that make this one of the best Batman movies ever made! And for me, one of the best parts of this movie is when the criminals look in fear at a dark alley hoping that Batman looks like a monster from a horror movie. In fact, Batman says it himself in the movie and I quote: "They think I'm hiding in the shadows. Watching. Waiting to attack. I am the shadows." And now that I think about it, this is the first Batman movie where Batman never fought the main villain one on one.
But 90% of the audience doesn't realize that, that's how good the story was in this movie. It didn't require a scene where Batman fights the Riddler. Now, although Riddler goes after the corrupt officials, he also believes that Gotham should be cleansed of its sins, so he bombs the boardwalk, flooding the entire city. It's a bold move, because it has huge ramifications for Batman in the future and Matt Reeves, the film's director, took inspiration for this from the 2013 Batman: Zero Year comics, where Batman at the beginning of his career fighting crime has to deal with. the Riddler, who floods Gotham by blowing up the reservoir.
And voila, this would be my analysis of The Batman by Matt Reeves. If you liked the details I just showed you, give it a like, hit the subscribe button and turn on notifications. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter to receive updates on my videos. Until then, see you in the next one!
