I decided to speedrun Slime Rancher and exploited cute creatures for monetary gain

So today we're going to run through Slime Rancher, a game where we exploit these Slimes and use their natural resources for our own capitalist game. So we'll start a new game and have a little loading screen along with a bit of history about us. being a thousand light years from earth we're turning into a

whatever I really don't care that we're speed racers so all we care about is being fast and that's just what we're going to want what to do , we're going to start the timer as soon as we can start moving and then we'll get a couple of these

slime

s and a couple of these carrots.

The first thing we want to do in this game is get a ton of different foods because we're going to use them in just a second, so I'm going to buy some of the pogo fruits, some carrots and we're going to want at least 31 foods in total, so let me get that also. over here get a couple more carrots and yeah you can see there's a bunch of slimes I mean this is called a slime

rancher

but we're not worried about these slimes because they're not going to give us a ton of money we're worried about . the slimes that will make us a lot of money and allow us to go faster, but before we get to that we have this guy that we are going to overfeed, yes, you can see that he is very happy to receive food, it seems that he is in a Pretty good condition, but what you don't realize is that it's going to explode.

Yes, we just murdered that guy so we could go fast in a video game, but the reason we had to do it is because we had to get a slime key. Now slime keys. They are important because they allow us to open up new areas, so in my opinion it is a perfectly valid reason to go ahead and murder a man, it happens, but anyway, instead of questioning the morality of that situation, we will just move on. and we will create path to the door and one thing I should mention while we are on the way and doing this long run section is that we have a stamina meter that you can see with the stamina meter, you can run for a while until it runs out and then You have to stop running anyway instead of worrying about it.

What are you worried about in this part where we open the door so we can open up that new area, but instead of waiting for it to appear and do all that kind of stuff, we use slimes to just go up? that wall, so we were effectively able to skip an animation and go faster, which I guess is the purpose of a speed run, so if you're wondering if you aim your gun at a specific place, then you can just keep jumping off the slimes that are getting shot. and yes, we actually skipped a whole section, it's a beautiful thing, but what we're going to want to do now is get some of these mint mangoes and give them to these yellow guys and the reason we want to do that is because we want their ports of honey, so I'm going to get four different honey ports and we don't really care about the people we just dissected.

I know, yeah, whatever they can get out of here and we also want a mint mango that we'll take with us. We also what we are going to want to do in this area is get four of these different boom slimes that we will use in just a second we just have to get one more right there get rid of these heather chicks that keep trying to get into my weapon, even if I don't want to and we want two different reference berries before we can leave for some reason there's only one handy teleporter there so I guess I'll just use that and that's it now we can start a mint mango farm we can put these boom slimes in there and give them some plots of honey so they can evolve, let's get rid of this chicken and this slime here so they don't bother us and anything that's annoying, just kindly Send over this cliff and murder is a very general outline of this game.

You know it happens a lot and now it's time to go to sleep for the day we worked a lot killing and going over everything. You know it was a long day, so let's sleep for two days in total so we can let our slimes farm a lot of different natural resources and we'll go out, now it's time to take out all the things we got from that and yes, get a a lot of money different from this, so what we want to do with these guys is use their natural resources so we can make a lot of money, put it there, earn our money and go on our way, we're going to have to get it. a little more money from them before we continue, but that was a pretty good amount and with that money we can make three new farms, two of them will be for these cola berries and the other, of course, for the pogo fruit.

I forgot the name. You saw what it was just a second ago. You know it's something and yes, it's time to sleep for another two days. We are a very lazy person. We also keep getting emails and I just pretend I am. review them and then go back to sleep, which is kind of funny. I'm sure there's some interesting information in there, but I don't care either, but here we go, we can get the rest of the stuff we got from these slimes. And hopefully this will be enough money we need for the rest of the game.

They keep trying to make me explode. Can you stop doing this? I'm going to feed them a couple of these mangoes too to make sure we have enough money. because this game is really annoying with the money stuff, it really likes to just not give you enough, but it seems like we did, so what we can do now is murder these guys, they serve their purpose, I don't really need them anymore, They seem quite happy. be killed too, so I think it's morally right and we're also going to want to take a couple of these mint mangoes on the road, so I'm going to get a couple of those and we're going to take this guy with us because this is the only one person we're not going to murder, we're going to put him right there so he's stuck there and can't move yeah, I feel sorry for that man, you know you gotta do what you gotta do.

I'm just trying to be a slime rancher and we didn't get enough money? That's annoying, so we're actually going to put that guy right there because we were unlucky, that's a little sad, so we're going to sleep until morning for another two days and continue with the next part of this round. Okay, here we go, and what we're going to want to do right away once we wake up is upgrade a couple of our things our jet pack those boots and these two things as well and now one thing we can do is get a total of 30 different things in each of our inventory slots, so it will be good because we need 25 q berries and 25 min of mangoes.

Let me get these. I'm going to have to get some of these out of here too. Please let this be enough money for the rest of the race. I don't know if that's the case, but I'm very hopeful, I think it might be that I'm just going to move on with my life, buddy, you're going to go back there, make me some more money, I'm going to be on my way, I'll be back later, so Yes, it's time for the second part of the race after our agriculture section. Let's run back in the same general direction because it's time to go back and slay another slime.

It's a pretty common theme in this game, but before doing it I also want to get a rock slime now. One good thing is that our stamina meter is now at 150, which means we can run a little further. I guess that's okay, but whatever it is, let's get that rock slime down there. Give him a carrot and it's time to commit cold-blooded murder, my favorite kind actually, so we're going to give this guy a bunch of different food to the point where he can't eat it anymore and there we go, we did it, right? You know?

I'm not too worried about the morality of this, I'm just worried about how much potential money I can make, so let's do that, let's get a couple of these slimes right here, get rid of that q-berry and hopefully there will be a rock port right there and now we can continue on our way. Use that bug a

to get there and here we go, but before we head out once a

, we need to get one of these tabby slimes, so I'm. I'm going to catch that guy and there we go, we're all ready for the next part of this race, so it's time for another long section where we just have to do a bunch of stuff.

You know, this happens a lot in this game. It's pretty interesting though because you have some interesting moves as you go down your path, but yeah, running around, you know, hey, pink slime, how are you? I hope you're having a good day, buddy, you know, keep living your life, I guess, and us. We're gonna want to go here please game let's go okay let's go we go up there and yeah now we have a jet pack so we can get some things through. We're going to want to shoot this tabby slime over there. get a chicken and we're going to want to feed this brindle slime, the chicken we just got, this is going to give us another report, buddy, no, buddy, don't jump in there, idiot, oh my god, come on, eat that, for Please eat this. sometimes these guys just don't eat this stuff there you go, I really appreciate that he finally did that and we get to take on the tabby plot which was a little annoying, I was afraid things just weren't going to work out but they did so so You know, that's good.

We can feed these different things, these different ports and this is basically so we can continue with the story, so we have to get a bunch of different plots and here there will be three more of these before we have to leave, there are a couple. We have to get more plurts before we can move on with our lives, so you know we have to go back, get more stuff and continue, so I'll head back in this direction. You know, we have that little mystical section where a lot. of things happened I don't really care you know the story the story will come later what we're going to do now is continue on our way I'm going to pick up some pink slime along the way so we can do some motion technology A little later and just we are running all over the area until we get to this area and yes you may have guessed it, it's time for more cold blooded murders so what we're going to do is bounce around.

Remove that pink slime and feed this guy. We have all these mint mangoes just for him. He seems happy like everyone else before they realize it. Yes, I'm about to die, but anyway we have our new key and now we can emergency return. Emergency returns basically. allow you to go back to your house and not really worry about it, so we can go back, but we lose everything in our inventory, but that doesn't include the keys, so we don't really care so what. What we're going to want to do now is get a couple of these q berries so we can take them on our way also this pink slime, are you kidding me?

Dude, I don't even know it was around. I'm going to have to kill it and I'm also going to get a couple more of these resources with me right now and some of these honey and boom ports so I can make sure that you know that things are actually working the way I need them to oh. Oh my gosh okay yeah I'm doing everything at once this is going to waste a little bit of my time but whatever it is I just want to make sure we have enough money and we should definitely do it now so it should be something Well, let's go have something. of these pogo fruits and let's sleep for another two days yes, it's time for another of our beautiful sleeping sections.

We'll feed him a bunch of these mint mangoes, he seems really happy with that so I think he's fine. We will also give him some of our other berries as he wants them, but he seems very happy with that, we will feed them. some more of these so you can give us some of your plans, come on guys do your thing, we need five of these in total and we should be fine, we have five quantum ports, we also want some quantum slimes with us that we can carry. and there we go, we actually have seven, which is too much and I don't really need that.

What we're going to want to do here is stop using my jet pack and yes, we can continue this way. yeah, we're just skipping that part, whatever that's not really my problem and we're going to want to go here, get there and yeah, we're just skipping all this story and stuff that's probably happening. like I'm trying to go fast, I said it before, I'll say it again, we don't care about the story, we'll use our key to get in here and we can enter the final area, so we have this. Everything, which is a cool coliseum, so you're probably wondering what you're doing with this.

Well, obviously we used the things we just received. You know, we do our thing, so let's put them in all these different mouths. Listen to this. Something strange is happening, I don't know what's going on and we can intervene there and now we're in the past so everything looks different, it's actually a really cool effect and I really like this part of the game. I don't need these quantum ports anymore, so I'll get rid of them, but we'll head this way and get to the next part and the next person we'll kill. Let me load up a little bit more of my stamina, let's go over here and do this mistake where we just go up, go, go, okay, that part is always so weird.
