and goes upstairs right away it's a family of three victims melinda and her little daughter named trixie and they live in a town known as louisiana in the next scene we see that melinda is getting ready to go to a party and vic is helping her while giving her a hand with her shoes linda then she tells her

that she loves him the couple then goes to a party that looks like a formal party they meet some friends and the group talks about different things while all this is going on melinda's friend joel dash walks into the room and she leaves running to greet him when he peculiarly appears, she then pulls him out and the two begin to kiss. vic stands there watching them through a window while his wife makes out with her lover.

Despite seeing that her husband is watching, her wife does not stop kissing her lover. when one of vic's friends approaches him and she tells him, worried, that vic might not be reciprocated for his love for melinda vick, however, he says he doesn't really care after a while, we see that melinda is now drunk and starts dancing wildly on top of a patio after that she plays the piano and starts singing while singing it makes vick smile even though melinda is cheating on him without a how do you seem like he doesn't really like me it doesn't matter after a while joel approaches vic and expresses his gratitude to vik for letting him see melinda the conversation then turns a bit darker when vic asks joel if he's heard of the disappearance of a man named martin mcrae and he adds that the aforementioned man used to be melinda's lover too to joel's surprise, vic goes on to reveal that he was the one who really killed martin with a hammer, joel tells vic he must be kidding but vic tells him that he is being serious and that this is not a joke after that, when the couple leaves the party, melinda asks vic if he said something important to joel, but vic denies saying anything when they get home, we see vic helping melinda out of her dress, she goes on to tell him that she really likes joel because he appreciated her for who she is, we later learn that their marriage is based on an arrangement. melinda is allowed to have as many lovers as she wants because her relationship is dry and there is no love between them anymore. vic has made it clear that he has no problem with her dating someone she likes as long as they are one family and she doesn't leave it on her daughter.

Trixie Vick has agreed to this precarious arrangement because she doesn't want to go through the hassle of getting divorced the next day. Vic is going to drop her daughter Trixie off at her school when she runs into one of her friends as Vic goes to greet her she immediately asks if what he said to joel last night at the party was true this time he says he was just joking and there is no such thing the victim could be joking we don't know yet but this joke of his is starting to spread around the neighborhood like a wildfire everywhere the victim goes everyone in his circle starts asking him if he actually did what he told joel the other night however vic tells everyone it was just a prank and nothing but melinda finds out about what vic said to his lover and she is angry with him, she goes to confront him for threatening her lover vic tells him that he is sorry and promises that none of that will happen again however melinda says that his apology is not enough she wants him to apologize to joel too she says she had him over for dinner and she wants vic to apologize to him joel gets home and still looks a little scared for vic as they eat dinner joel tells her he plans to move out by the end of week after melinda says she wants to spend some time with joel alone so she wants vic to take trixie to bed later vic once again goes with joel while melinda is in the bathroom he tells her again he wasn't kidding and that he actually killed martin vick calls a taxi and asks joel to leave immediately vick now openly threatens joel as he tells him that if he doesn't leave now he will suffer the same fate one day vic and melinda go to a party and there they meet a couple don and kelly vic dances with kelly at the party while melinda watches as they drive back home at night melinda, looking a little disturbed, asks vic if he found kelly wilson attractive vic's response it is yes and melinda begins to feel jealous of kelly because she thinks kelly is more attractive than her when the couple arrives home they have a passionate lovemaking session in the next scene we see vic is at a soccer game for his daughter trixie he receives a call from his bank and they inform him about a payment made by melinda to a piano teacher named charlie delisle vicky is suspicious and continues to track charlie where he is performing in a live show there he discovers that melinda is seeing charlie without him noticing knows she returns home and finds out from a news channel on her television that martin's body has been found in the woods it is reported that martin was shot and killed when melinda comes home the victim tells her that martin has been shot and killed and that her body was found in the woods she gets very angry with the news and goes directly to a room as time goes by melinda and charlie start spending more time together and the two start getting closer to each other without However, Vic doesn't like him, he is aware of everything and his patience is being tested.

One morning, Melinda comes home after spending the night with Charlie. Vic is furious with her and confronts her and tells her to stop seeing Charlie. melinda says she won't do anything like that since charlie makes her feel loved something she can't get from vic dick tells her he loves her but she makes it very clear this isn't the kind of love she wants couple then goes to a pool party together with their friends and charlie is also at the party at the party melinda introduces charlie to vic while her piano teacher vic plays and pretends he is unaware of the relationship at night vic looks for melinda who hasn't been home for hours vic goes to the pool and there he finds melinda in the pool and she seems to be having a good time with charlie their closeness starts to get vic and starts to get jealous of charlie then it starts to rain and everyone runs inside the house except for Vic and Charlie, after a while Vic finally walks in and joins the others, however when he walks in there is some sort of obvious guilt in the way. he kills melinda on the other hand he is looking for charlie she looks out the window and starts screaming when she sees charlie floating in the pool they all run to the pool and the men pull him out of the water and try to revive him where he drops the body of charlie and his head hits the edge of the pool everyone then realizes charlie is dead they report the incident to the police immediately and the detectives arrive start questioning everyone at the party since vic had a problem with charlie and he has spoken about it too melinda immediately accuses the victim of drowning charlie but the victim denies it, then is asked separately about the accusation made by his wife, the victim tells her that charlie was too drunk and leaves he was clinging to the deep end of the pool the detectives are satisfied with the explanation and let him go, but melinda insists that the victim killed charlie vick asks if she is afraid of him now that she thinks he is a murderer melinda replies that she is not scared because she is the very thing he killed charlie for one day vic is on his bike when he notices a car following him and then kelly tells him that don suspects he is charlie's killer at the same time as melinda and don they start spending a lot of time together and they both think the same thing, Vic tells Kelly not to worry and goes on to invite her and Don to dinner later that night, when Vic is alone with Don he asks her to stop tell people that he killed Charlie.

Don says that he thinks Vic killed him. he asks Vic to prove his innocence by taking a lie detector test and Vic agrees as he walks along the side of the road he sees the car that has been following him he sees a camera in the car confirming that he is being followed constantly and his movements they are being recorded by a private investigator to his luck he finds melinda in a cafe with the investigator and melinda introduces the man as a psychotherapist named david vick in a short time he realizes that melinda and don have hired the private investigator for what of he immediately goes to don's house and confronts him in front of his family vic shows him a bank statement that says melinda sent don money to hire david then another man comes along vic sees that melinda has started dating another man named tony cameron he is her boyfriend from college vic is now jealous when he sees melinda approaching tony he tries to talk to her but she says she doesn't want to talk to him he, when he sees tony flirting with melinda the next day, vic goes to see to tony and tells him that melinda wants to show him a construction site she has been working on, he gets in the car with him and vic drives him into the woods where there are no signs once vic realizes they are now in a completely isolated area, they get out of the car and vic throws a rock at tony's head while vic throws another rock tony trips off the cliff and hits his head on a rock dies right then and there vic then tries to hide the body underwater by tying it up with rocks one day he takes his family on a picnic in the woods melinda asks vic why he is the only man who wants to stay with her he tells her he loves her for who she is and will never leave her the two hug and trixie is accepted on the other hand she approaches a stream where vic drowned tony's body vic runs to look for her and there she sees that tony's body has begun to float on the surface on the way home melinda says she forgot her scarf and vic says she'll see her tomorrow night melinda asks vic to sleep in her room melinda expresses her love for vic then they have passionate sex the next morning vic rides into the woods on his bike while melinda finds tony's wallet and realizes that vic has killed tony melinda packs her things and decides to leave vic forever when she realizes that vic has killed everyone who got close to trixie however she throws the suitcase into the pool telling her mother that they didn't you go the other way vic tries to drown tony's body more in the creek when don gets there the two talk and don notices tony's arms floating in the creek and he runs to his car as he drives away vic chases him on his bike and decides take a shorter route to catch him when Vic is about to catch don he falls off his bike and finds himself right in front of don's car don swerves to avoid hitting him and ends up falling off a hill to his death as his victim of the car accident now she is sure that don is dead he returns home and finds melinda sitting on the stairs looking at him without taking her eyes off him he remembers the scene when the movie started this is the same scene she tells him that she knows he has killed to tony but he doesn't say anything and then he burns tony's id saying he wants to live with vic this is where the movie ends thanks for watching please like and subscribe and click the bell icon for new movie recaps
