How To: Make a UK Drill Beat in LMMS

reverb looks like this, now I'm going to move this up and everything sounds like this. See, I give it a little different vibe. Now I'm going to get into the sonatina and I know that for this one I want to EQ the treble so that it reaches you more. I know a mysterious sound, so basically the EQ looks like this, it's just a little shelf EQ and it will sound like this from time to time, and now there are two more things I want to add to the 1700 Orchestra. I want to add reverb and I want to add some stereo or I basically made the room size a lot bigger, turned up the dry, turned up the decay a little bit and other than that it's pretty much the same.

I moved it up as well and now I'm going to add that stereo talking about so I like to use the stereo matrix and I'm going to put this all the way up too so I put both of those at about 75 and I think that's fine now and one more thing that I want to do is equalize a little. more of this high end, so now that we have this, we're pretty much done, the last thing I'm going to do is separate them into their own baseline and then we'll style it out and we'll be fine.

, but as you can see, it's not a very complicated beat, you know, it sounds good, we don't have that many sounds, but it's all about how you use your sound because with these UK drum beats you have to pay close attention to how you use your drums to create a good bounce. As you can see, I spent a lot of time on each and every drum. making sure they fit well together and bounce properly and have the right kind of tempo and rhythm, so yeah, I'm going to switch to Select and copy this.

Now we're going to put this here and I'm going to start with the piano at the beginning and then we're going to add the strings too and I'm going to do the hi-hat and I'm going to turn this up a little bit and the last thing I forgot was add some effects to this so I'm going to go ahead now and just add a little bit to it. of reverb, so I added some reverb to this little slope effect and now it should be nice and reverb II and it will fade out. and all the drums are going to drop here and now we're going to copy this like this and now we're going to get rid of these strings, so delete them and I'll get rid of stop as well and maybe I'll actually get I'll get rid of the 808 for a moment.

Look, I'll do it like this, add a little break and then I'll copy it like this and maybe for this one I'll just do the strings. so as always, this is all totally up to you, you can do this design or anything else i made on this account however you want, as long as it sounds good to you, that's what matters, but yes, i want to copy. One thing I'm realizing right now is that I made the snares have the little hesitation effect instead of the hi-hats, so I'm going to go in and fix that right now and add them. for all the extremes here, yeah, that's pretty much all this beat done.

I actually worked pretty hard on this one and I'm pretty pleased with the way it came out, considering this isn't my number one genre of music to do or anything like that. but I'm pretty happy with the results and I think it turned out to be a pretty tough beat, so yeah, if you have any questions, leave them in the comments below.
