I can't believe the ball twins are there, that's one of them. the other, the cold rolled steel on the black stone

griddle

on most griddles, seems like it's a little high maintenance, you have a season, you gotta keep that seasoning, make sure you have that nonstick on there, you got it, make sure that everything works perfectly and if you look at various groups, you have the experts who have the perfect image of what an iron should look like. I have since learned that not all irons will look the same and they are not for everyone. Perfect I'm certainly not perfect at this, but when it comes to cleaning the top of the iron, it took me a long time because I felt like I had to get it perfect, but that's not necessarily the case, so I'll go ahead and show you.

All I'm using is my paper towels, a scraping tool. I have my oil for after and then my water. Now the first thing I want to do is this. It's still very hot. I finished

cooking

. About 3045 minutes ago I can't put my hand in there, but I can definitely put it on top without getting too hot, so it cools right where I want it. I like it a little hot because it's easier to get the

food

out. I picked up the scraper, so I wanted to get on the ironing table now. I did not do it.

I didn't get this side very hot, but it's not that complicated either, just a little mess on the surface, really the rest of this is still a little hot, so I'm going to grab my scraper first and find what I can. You can see some of this is still talking, so what I want to do is add a little bit of water and for the If it's not hot enough, sometimes I'll get it. I'll turn it back on to create some steam. Sometimes water is enough. This is just hot water. Well, this water is going to put on a concert.
It's just the top part of the iron. Still, this will help remove all of this nicely. Sometimes I need this team to really accomplish a lot. This is not so bad. What I need is this water, it just acts a little hot. You can see it smoking, just play a little. since it's going to accomplish most of what I needed here, ooh, maybe it's time to add a new layer of seasoning, lifting a little of this here, taking a little of that down there, I'm going to pop a little here and just making sure to keep a smooth texture. surface, all I do is make sure I keep a smooth surface, that's the purpose of scraping to get the

food

and anything stuck off.
Well, this is when I use my paper towels, I just grab a couple of them and everything. What I'm doing is cleaning the residual water. I don't want that left there at all and also the extra junk food in here. I don't mind if I take out some of that oil. I can see where I can I have some imperfections that I need to work on in my iron, okay, best thing about the iron, this is something that gets fixed; It gets fixed over time, it will get better and better. In fact, I have come to reason about the coat. which I'll probably do again so now the last thing I'm going to do is remove all the food so now I'm just going to grease this and then again I have my rag so what I did with this rag was I took a kitchen.
I have a couple of dish towels that I just ripped up three or four times, so I have several of these and all I'm going to do is use this and when I'm done with this, I take it and throw some at it. dish soap in there and I just rub it by hand to make sure all the oils come out and then set it aside to dry for next time. It only takes about five minutes to do it that way. I can use this. I have found that using paper towels can be very expensive also paper towels, these will leave a lot of lint.
I've heard that blue paper towels, paper towels from the store work much better, they leave a lot less lint. The problem is with as many paper towels as I use. It would be a very expensive investment, so these cloths are reusable and have virtually no stretch, which I appreciate, so all I'm doing is just taking and rubbing this last layer so that it serves to season but also to cover the next one. time and I can see that I definitely need to re-season this, don't worry it's not a perfect griddle yet but it will get there and we'll give it a little more life but that's all I do for cleaning except I clean my shelves sides.
I clean everything else up, but that's a really simple process, so there it is all nice and ready to put away. I love putting that last seasoning on there, that last layer of oil to make sure it doesn't oxidize. Fortunately. I have the hard cover on there but moisture can still get in so that will ensure it doesn't rust and is also ready for the next cook. I don't know why I enjoyed cleaning this almost as much as I enjoyed cooking on it, but I'll clean it up, save the rest of my strength, and call it a day, but that's it.
I hope this has helped you. I know like I said, people have been asking about my cleaning process. I keep it simple I use a rag some paper towels my oil and water and my scraping tool this great tool has really proven to be super important in that cleaning process it scrapes off the surface, the trash, the food debris and really helps me make sure I have a smooth surface for next time I hope this helped you again. I know I've had this question before and it's not science like I said before, it's like the Bob Ross approach, what works for me may not work. for you but you can make it into a pretty bird or a tree whatever you want but this is the way I do it and it worked perfectly for me and I use the iron almost daily with this thing and I love it so I hope May it help you if it does.
