More Interesting Facts About,

Let's get into today. I'm going to share with you some of my tips. Some of the things I personally do to feel more confident. Let's start directly. I already did my eyebrows. I decided to remove my eyebrows. NYX Professional Brow Pencil in the shade Ash Brown, this was recommended by one of you in my last video where I tried out your

drugstore

makeup recommendations. I really liked it so I decided to use this again today and I'm actually going to. I'll do the eyes first, although this will be a skin based tutorial. I know I'm going to do a full coverage face.

One thing I've been doing is focusing a little more on the eyes. areas that I know have a little bit better skin around them or, you know, features of my face that I feel like I can draw a little more attention to to distract from the problem areas because it's easy to cover up the red spots. It's really easy to, you know, hide and cover spots, but when it comes to texture and active breakouts, it's much harder to hide. In fact, you can't cover the texture. You can do it with finishes similar to your base. to try to hide it as much as possible but on the day it was very textured I knew I couldn't really hide it and it would be visible even under foundation so what I did was I would just draw attention to another area of the face like this I focused more on my eye makeup to make that the focal point of my face and hopefully distract a little from the texture of my cheek, so I just went ahead and put on the makeup revolution concealer and the defined concealer all over the lid, blending it with a sponge and then we're going to go ahead and set it with Maybelline, I'm left with a loose finishing powder in the light light shade.

I'm going to take that with a small brush. My makeup space guys is a little bit depleted because I was in a city this weekend and I haven't had a chance to really unpack and organize so everything is a little spread out so I'm just trying it on top of the concealer and that will really help us create a nice space for the eye shadow. I was going through my drawers today and really wanted to try this. It's the Covergirl Katie-Cat Eyeshadow Palette. Covergirl eyeshadows. They are some of my favorites from the

drugstore

and I haven't tried this palette here yet.
I show them, they look amazing. This is the palette in hot cat. There is another one that is a little more similar to the colors it has. a little more color, it seems like a more everyday palette, that's why I wanted to try it today. I'm going to go ahead and use this shade right here and we'll use it across the crease as our transition. shadow, there are such pigmented eyeshadows. Seriously, I didn't have that much eyeshadow on the brush, but I'm basically buffing it and doing wiper strokes and building it up until it reaches the intensity I want.
My goal here is you know, add a little more drama to the eyes and at the same time keep it wearable during the day because when I was doing my makeup this weekend it was still daytime like I still had to go out and do things during the day. day and I didn't want to. to make it look like you knew I was about to go on a fancy date or something with a lot of eye makeup, but again I wanted it to be a little bolder to draw more attention, so I'll stick to being more neutral. colors because they are more everyday natural colors, but there are ways to increase the intensity and draw more attention to the eyes and at the same time make them wearable during the day, so I need to clean my brushes, guys, it just takes a lot of time, you know?
I always forget to do it but... it's getting out of control all my brushes are terribly dirty oh I'm not even saying what I'm okay I'm going to dive into the dark brown shade here and we're just going to add a little bit of definition to the third outside of the eye and into the crease, and this will give some depth to the eye and the darker colors will draw attention. I mean, that's the topic, the goal for today. You probably should too. I mention that I showered earlier today and made sure to gently exfoliate my skin because I've been using a lot of products like salicylic acid, which usually helps my skin when I have active breakouts, they dry everything out and put it back together, but as a side effect, sometimes my skin gets a little dry and one of the things that's really hard to hide is an addition to the texture.
I guess it goes along with the texture, but if you have dry skin, especially over blemishes, applying foundation on top just draws more attention, so it's very important to gently exfoliate around that area and hydrate it really well before applying foundation. and that's a good way to make sure that the base, even if it's there are bumps on your breakouts that there are no dry patches to hold on to because that can accentuate everything even more. Let's move on to I really want to use this gold tone so that's what we're going to do, we're just going to take a kind of flat brush oh no it's cleaning the cat's face so pretty oh my gosh I'm just putting this all over the lid , well, not even setting spray or anything on the brush or my fingers, that's just the brush, let's try it with my fingers. just for fun, it's really pretty, so I'm basically applying it all over the lid leaving the third kind of outer bear, although we have that darker color, in fact, maybe I'll even go back to that nice dark brown. touch up, make sure everything is nice and blended.
I'm going to take a small brush, this is actually a dose of colors, a small eye shadow palette and I'm going to dip into the black eye shadow and I want a little bit. definition on the upper lash line here maybe do like a soft wing to highlight now. I already did it, so I'm going to run this on my upper lash line like a wing and don't worry too much. over the edge of this right now because I'm going to wipe the edge with a makeup wipe, so as long as you just take the shadow out and try to make it look as even as possible on the top, we can always sharpen the bottom on just a minute so now is where we take our makeup wipe and just wipe away any residue.
You know the drill, yes, we use our finger to sharpen this edge here, same thing on this side. Okay, now that we've done that, let's move on to the complexion. I already liked the care of my skin. Did you know? Actually, I'm also going to use this foundation from my last video. This is the NYX Angel Veil Foundation. I'll use a lot less than in that video, but I'll use this to help with any texture. I'm going to put it here because it's where I have the largest pores, but I'm also going to really focus on it.
I'll apply it to the areas where I have texture so it can smooth everything out. Hopefully I'll basically apply it all over my face, but I'll really focus on wherever you have breakouts, so when I'm in a situation like this. and I need to cover acne and maybe if I don't have time to hide blemishes or if a blemish concealer just doesn't work as well, I prefer more complete coverage all over the face, but there is a way that you can still do that and not do make your face look cakey, which I think is the struggle when you have a lot of acne and you're trying to cover it.
Sometimes it's easy to go overboard with products so what I've found is to kind of blend like a lighter foundation and a super full coverage foundation and combining the two gives you the two properties that you like in each foundation so you know which may be closer to the finish of the lighter foundation, maybe it helps it blends better into your skin and then the coverage of the super full coverage foundation, so I'm going to mix the Flower Beauty Light Illusion foundation with the foundation of Maybelline Superstay 24-hour full coverage makeup. This thing doesn't move, but it's a little heavy. because mixing foundations every day is a great way to solve that problem.
I'm just going to do one pump of the Light Illusion foundation and about two-thirds of that amount of the Superstay foundation and then I need to find a brush. First I'm going to go ahead and mix the two together on the back of my hand. I mentioned this before, but I'm going to mention it again, but first I'm just going to put a little bit on my face and blend it out with a ey6 morph. brush, but when it comes to covering acne, I feel like I've made this mistake before, where I get fed up and apply a lot of coverage everywhere, which ends up making your face look kakie, so I like it working in light layers even when I have blemishes and even when I know I'm going to cover my entire face completely, I still work in layers just to make sure I don't overdo it, so I'll go ahead and put a nice thin layer all over, probably You may also have heard me say this before, but when it comes to coverage, I feel like brushes do a great job at first, but then I love the finish of a sponge, so I use both and that's kind of the way.
To bring back the skin-like finish, even when you're doing a fuller coverage foundation, I like to press the coverage into the areas I need the most and that stippling process will help lightly build up the product where you need the coverage. So you can already see how much better that looks on my red spots, so I continue to build that up making sure to blend it into the neck as well and then I'll take what's left on my hand with my sponge just to soak up a little bit of With that extra product, I'm going to lightly press the foundation into the skin so we can keep a little bit of that skin-like finish, so even though this is a full coverage foundation, you can still see that I have texture and the imperfections are still showing. but I'm very happy with the finish and overall coverage of what I just did, so this is where I'm going to hide the difference.
The difference is that I'm concealing the foundation over a fuller coverage foundation, something you guys know before I write. If it's sheer then I do a spot concealer in this case, when I know I want full coverage I'll do a fuller coverage foundation in light layers and then I'll still do a spot concealer if I need to so I'll go back to wearing that makeup. Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer, this one is in shade 5. You really want to make sure your concealer has a more matte finish and is the exact same color as your skin, otherwise it will highlight imperfections instead of hiding as much as we do.
I don't want that, so I'm just dotting the areas that need a little more help. If you like the center of my forehead, you could use a little more coverage and then I'll apply a little concealer to the tip. of the sponge that way when we press the concealer on the blemishes it won't pick up too much since we want more coverage, so I'll just press and sweep the concealer very lightly over the areas that need more coverage. and for me, this takes less time than hiding blemishes with a sheer foundation just because using a fuller coverage foundation initially covers a lot of my problem areas, it's like bigger blemishes that need extra concealing.
I also added a little bit around the nose. just because I have some redness there and I'm going to blend this out, I mean, not as bad as you can see, you can still see the texture, you can see this, you can see this, you can see this, but you can't see the redness anymore. which is the main problem and I also love the finish of this. It doesn't look too much like an under-eye concealer in my opinion. Well, you could actually use the same concealer under your eyes. I am a bit too. I'm too lazy to go there and take a lighter shade and also you guys know that I like my under eye concealer to be the same shade as my skin tone sometimes, especially for everyday looks.
I just used it so I'm I'm going to go ahead and use the same concealer for under my eyes and that same sponge as well and you know what ifIf you have applied the eyeshadow first, be careful on the edge of the eyeshadow so that you don't stamp the concealer like the wing and ruin all that hard work, so now that I have just applied the concealer under the eyes, I'm going to apply my NYX HD and banana finishing powder with a small brush and I really want to press that. Apply concealer to set it and lighten it a little.
I will have this powder for under eyes. I think it's amazing, so now that under the eyes is done, we still need to set the rest of the face. I'm coming back. At Maybelline I put on loose powder in the light light shade and the reason I like this powder when I want a fuller coverage look I just toss it on every but like I was saying the reason I like this powder for a fuller coverage look is because it has a little bit of pigment so I'm going to go ahead and start on the areas where I have some blemishes or I want to set them and I'm just going to go ahead and kind of bake over that area actually at this point I'm not going to worry too much about looking too powdery, there is a way that I've been able to reverse that in the end, which I'll show you, but I'm just pressing Apply it to the skin instead of rubbing it because it will ultimately break down some of the coverage on your face, so just take it as a fluffy brush and press it into the skin instead of buffing and I'm basically doing this all over the skin.
I don't want any of this to move. This one here is a little dry. You can see how it sticks. We are on this side. You don't really see that many because I was able to get rid of it. any dry patch from before, so now let's quickly finish the under eye area. I'm going to go ahead and grab a little brush. I'm going to apply the first shade that we dipped into. I always like to combine basically. what we have on the upper lid, so I'm going to sweep it along the lower lash line and connect it to the wing that we have, then I'm going to take that dark brown shade and really buff it on the upper lid. outer third of the lower lash line that connects it to the wing.
I'm using the dark brown on the bottom instead of black just to make it a little softer, that way we have a little more dimension and depth on the upper lash line, which I'll open up my eyes and then take that really pretty gold tone. I'm just going to put it under my lower lash line, as well as the bottom two-thirds, I would say, and just make sure to blend it out. the existing shadows and I think that's it for the eyeshadow, so it's a little bit bolder, it's a little bit more eye-catching and eye-catching, but it's not too much for daytime, which is what I was looking for, so let's go ahead and put on mascara.
I'm going to use that essence mascara, how does one move? Okay, purple mascara, oh, there it is, huh. I'm going to use this. I'm going to go ahead and use this again. This is the essence volume stylist. 18-hour eyelash extension lengthening mascara. fibers and this is the mascara that many of you recommended I try in my last video, which I'll link below if you haven't seen it yet where I tried your drugstore products, so I'm going to go ahead and apply. this for the upper and lower lashes. I really loved how it looks and I also want to go back and try more from essence.
What was the other one that many of you liked? It was like Lash Princess mascara or something I have. I haven't tried it yet and I really wanted to so I'm going to do quite a few coats though just because I want eye strain, do any of you wear contact lenses because I do and I feel like there's a lot of fighting? When it comes to makeup and contact lens wear, like I just smudge my contact lenses with mascara, I guess it's better than stabbing myself in the eye, but you know, the worst thing in the world is if you have a little lint or a little bit of lint that gets stuck in there and you don't see it before you put it in your eyes and then my eyes start watering really bad and it's very hard to open my eyes to try to get the contact out because my eyes trying to get the lint out that It's trapped under my touch, tell me I'm not the only one who's experienced that's the worst, so now that we have mascara on, I'm going to go ahead and warm up my face.
I actually use the Essential Sun Club Matte Bronzing Powder, this is for lighter skin tones. I also use this in my last video, but you know? After doing a full face with nothing new, I've really been enjoying repeat products just in my days. in the daily routine and also in the videos. I feel like I hope you guys are okay with that, but you know I just used this bronzer. I only used it once and I wanted to use it again, so I'll just use it, you know? sometimes. I feel like you guys always want to see new products and I'm sure there are some people you know who enjoy that and I personally enjoy it, but sometimes I feel like it would be nice to see influencers use the same products a little more.
You often know what I mean and there are some that do that but with all the new releases it's sometimes hard to go back and use the same products because there's always something new to try so I hope you're okay with me repeating my bronzer and Some other products that I just tried recently because really, who uses a bronzer once you know, I mean who buys a bronzer just to use it once, not me, so I'm just pinching the brush with a little bit of that product to slightly sculpt the nose under the lip. This is an amazing bronzer if you have fair skin.
The shade is so pretty it is actually buildable and was very affordable. I think it costs like five dollars. Less than that four bucks, I don't know, but it's also matte, which I should probably mention when it comes to a bad skin day. I try to use as many matte skin products as possible because some of you may know when to apply them. a highlighter on something that has texture will only emphasize it more, so using matte products will really help create that illusion of a really nice complexion, you can sculpt the face, you can tan it, you can warm it up a little bit, but it's not going to emphasize the texture. if you have a matte formula.
I didn't take a blush. I hope they continue doing this. It's the classic BH Cosmetics blush palette, ten shades here and look how great they are, so I'm going to use them. I hope they still make them. I'll link to them below or leave a note if you don't, but let's see, I want to use this shade right here and I've been liking the beige, so let's just mix it up. these two are kind of neutral, they're natural, they're matte and I'm going to go ahead and press them on the cheeks because I have a little bit of texture here so I'm going to try to skip the shimmers and the blush and a different highlight that I did so I grabbed the highlighter of pure and naked essence.
I love this. I'm using a lot of essence in this video, but hey, I'm really happy that they put some of these products on me because, seriously, it's amazing how affordable this brand is and how good quality it is, so go ahead and use this to highlight the top of the face because most of my textures are here and I have a little bit on the cheek, so I usually like to bring it to the front of the cheeks today. I'm going to skip that, so keep in mind where your own buds are. You know, adjust this tutorial to what you need if that makes sense.
Maybe you have a In that case, a major breakout on your forehead maybe you keep your eyes simpler and do a bold lip if your skin around here looks a little better just to distract people, yeah, I mean, and even If you notice the texture, I promise you that it is not as bad as you think it is in your head and the most important part is that you feel comfortable and confident and that is the best way to show off problem skin, just be confident, the People will notice it like people recognize when you feel insecure.
I can definitely see it in other people, you know, when they try to cover their face and I used to be like that a lot, but I think what helps me is just realizing that you know if I have a friend or someone who has an active outbreak. like I'm not judging them as harshly as I think people are judging me and that made me realize that people don't really care as much as you think sometimes and honestly the most important part is just having confidence and keep that smile on your face because to be honest that's the best makeup to cover breakouts but this definitely helps it definitely helps my personal confidence which helps me act confident so sometimes I really I feel that, personally, doing beautiful makeup makes me feel.
Confident even when I have a breakout, so I love makeup. I love makeup so much for that reason, it really boosts my confidence, especially in situations like this where I feel like I need a little more help. I didn't even tell you guys. I'm oh my gosh using this same highlighter on the inner corner and brow bone. Now I'm going to clean the makeup off the lips. You know when I made that video where I went through the Walmart boxes. I'm dying to use this shade again from Milani. It's Milani, a more matte lip cream in the shade I adore.
Now it's a little more daring. You could go for something lighter if you don't want to draw attention to yourself. I personally feel like since I have everything pretty covered, I'm going to do something a little bolder on the lips and I want to pair it with a gloss, we'll see how that works. I'll just go ahead and apply. This is the first time, although this color is so beautiful that I can't even stand it. I feel like it's like my lips, but you better see how similar it is and the shade of my lips. I think that's why I love it.
I think it's very flattering. so I'm going to start with a light layer of this mmm, that's really pretty, you should try it boss, on top of that, let's try it. This is also from the Walmart box. This is the hard candy lip gloss serum. Oh, there's something in my nose. This is the Hard Candy Plumping Serum Lip Gloss in the shade Sugar Sugar, let's see if we like it. I just want a little shine in the center of the lips to make my lips look healthy. I'm just pressing it with My finger, if you look, it's a really great way to blend lip products.
Wow, it's plumping up my lips. Yeah, I really like that because I feel like since this skin is so matte, it's nice to have shine on the eyes and on the lips. so you know I don't look too flat everywhere, there's some shine and dimension, you know what I'm saying now? I always evaluate the situation, my eyebrows need a little touch up, I personally feel that way. I'm going to take the same NYX pencil. I brushed the eyebrows first and I'm just adding back a dimension that I feel like it needs a little more. No, sometimes it just happens to me when I do my eyebrows first. makeup and sometimes it wears off with the sponge and things like that just by applying all the skin products, so I always like to touch up my eyebrows.
I feel like that completes every look for me. Oh, product repeat alert, I'm going to use this. again and I use this in my last video for the essence, make me brow gel mascara, this is in the shade 0-2 brownie brows. I'm going to go ahead and use this to set up the eyebrows. In fact, I saw online that there is an in-between color. this one and the blonde one I didn't see it in my store maybe it's new but I feel like I could go with that one because this one works for me it's just dark and sometimes I'd like to have options you know because I have different moods when it comes to how I want it you see my eyebrows sometimes I want them darker sometimes I want them lighter on purpose you know I usually like a little more bronzer I don't know I just love adding a little more and now this is the really important part okay, this part is really what made my skin look more like skin, it just locks everything in, first of all it helps the makeup last longer which is great when you have skin problems and want your makeup to stay but secondly, it helps all the powder residue melt away and you're left with a much better finish that won't look dry or cakey so I'm going to go ahead and put my face on um.
I'm thinking I'm going to start with the floral Beauty Seal the Deal Dewy Finishing Setting Spray because I've been enjoying mixing it with setting sprays. I like to do one that helps melt everything together and then another one that's better for setting makeup if that makes sense, so I haven't actually tried this combo so we'll see how it ends up looking, but this is the general idea of what what I've been doing and I'll share it. Learn about those specific products in a future video, but since this is a drugstore video, this is pretty much the same idea, so let's start with this one so it's a little more hydrating.
Now I'm going to enter with the flower. Beauty seals the deal. long lasting matte finish spray no I'm not because it looks like a spray, ok I forgot, I knew there was one that had a problem, maybe I'll continue with more of this, it would probably work great with the Milani. Do it with a damp setting spray and then go over it with the last setting spray. Sorry for the malfunction, but you get the idea. I'm just taking my sponge and pressing out any major water droplets because thatsprinkler is in the other. one wasn't very good.
I will share with you one more tip. I've really liked setting everything with a wetter finishing spray and then if I feel like that wet finishing spray got too wet, I'll actually use this. This product is something that I use, oh my gosh, I'm so clumsy, this is something I use no matter what look I'm doing, literally this product is what I use with high end drugstore foundations, anything, it's amazing, it's Rimmel. Keep the long-lasting matte pressed powder and what I'll do is evaluate the face after I put the settings on Brown because I love how that makes the makeup melt, but sometimes in the T zone it gets a little bit too. glossy, as I will naturally get a little bit more shine in there throughout the day, I'm just going to take this with a small brush and focus on the areas where I for sure don't want the shine, so right in the center of the front, I'm going to take it on its own with a little brush, you guys saw me do it here around the smile lines and I'll also pat your chin and that'll just powder them back up, you know the specific places so I can get out of most of the area, it's really nice and moist, but I can also make sure I don't look greasy in the T-zone.
Well, that's it. I hope you enjoyed this video. I'm definitely very happy. how this turned out you guys saw my before and after you can see how much better my skin looks again there is a bit of texture that is really hard to cover if not impossible but I hope these tips help you if you have an active breakout that is frustrating you a lot.
