, like most people I talk to today when I try to give them advice. about eating right recovering and training properly Hi, I'm Mark Wahlberg and today I'm going to show you what my diet looks like. I get up, take my vitamins, drink my water, take a small soluble zinc tablet and then have a Triple Espresso. I had wild smoked salmon, some Greek yogurt and berries and then I had green juice with moranga which was at 8:00 in the morning at 11:00 I had chicken breast chicken thigh sweet potato broccoli a fruit plate blueberry blackberry raspberry strawberry and then I ate a handful of pistachios and a handful of almonds and then I ate at 2:00 I ate isimi swich crab salad with a little cucumber and a couple of pieces of chicken breast and tonight I'll have a nice steak, a bath of sea or something halit and a vegetable that I just wanted to eat, it is as clean as possible.

It's sad that it took me until I was 52 to realize it. If I had done this a long time ago, I think I would have done it. Another nice little 15 year run to make more physical films. I'm actually training smart now, so I'll do upper body, lower body, 3 days on day off, two days on day off. Now I'm putting so much emphasis on rest and recovery. Since I am a time under tension and train intensely, I learned the hard way. He trained seven days a week, twice a day and ate eight meals a day. I couldn't digest the protein I ate.

Then I started fasting and I thought, "Well, I don't have to do cardio twice a day if I'm fasting or I'm just eating the right amount of protein and eating at the right times, everything for me was so extreme, so now I eat I said, I finally figured it out in my 50s, don't wait until you're 50 to figure it out, okay, do it in your teens and in your 20s, you know what the cleanest program and regimen was that I was going to do, Arthur was. biking and doing a lot of things training and preparing to hopefully look like an adventure racer months in advance and on the first day of filming I rode around in my miniscus and the only thing that gave me any solace was a giant ice cold beer very tall at the end of the day, so my diet went out the window after the first day and I don't take any kind of painkillers or anything.
I couldn't have the surgery, so I was fine at the end of a long, hard day sweating in the jungle. the best remedy for me was a couple of cold jumbos. Well, I would say this is one of the most physically demanding roles. I mean this Lone Survivor, the fighter. I mean, these are pretty daunting physically, but you know. They are the type of roles I lean towards as an extreme athlete. No one works harder at it than adventure racers. It's pretty incredible the kind of shape they're in and the things they go through and what they have to endure.
Throughout these races, no matter what they do to prepare for a race, it has become a routine for me. Now I eat well, I exercise. I feel good, so it's something I'm really looking forward to. You know, there are days when you get there and you don't. I don't really feel like you want to do it, but by the time I come out of that cold dive, I'm ready to go now that I've been focusing on rest and recovery. I don't feel like it's as much work as it used to be breakfast pancakes with bacon sausage maple syrup my kids smell like maple syrup they get a hug and a kiss before school and they smell like maple syrup that's pretty good as long as you do the right thing cheat meal this time because what I'm thinking "Okay, I have to have some tequila and chocolate and another dessert and you know, five different kinds of pasta after not eating anything and eating clean and I'm wondering why I don't feel good". the next day, oh my gosh, my favorite, well my favorite, yes, I eat chicken pot pie, Thanksgiving dinner, mashed potatoes, stuffed gravy, sometimes I walk by the bakery section and just look and think about all the things I would like to eat, but then I know that if I took one of each and ate them I probably wouldn't feel as good after being Mark Wallberg, that's how boring and repetitive my diet seems, but thanks for your time.
