Jun 06, 2021
What's happening guys? They will have a great headquarters. My name is Chris and welcome back to a new video. Today's video is one of my favorites. We have a video vs. Do you have the k 6 vs GK 68 XS cron key? First of all, ebo maker needs to tone down these keyboard names because they sound like we're naming airplanes or like he doesn't know about top secret underwater missions, it's just fine, but with that said, let's get on with the video. many of you might be travelers, I've been getting asked a lot about these two keyboards, so I see these names have been coming up a lot over the last few months and it makes sense because these keyboards, like I say, had a lot of similarities and at the same time they have some key differences, so the point of this video is not for me to pick my own clear and direct winner, but I hope that during the process of this video you guys can figure out what it might be.

They fit your daily needs and which one is worth your hard-earned money. With that said, guys, let's get into the video. For the sake of this video, I went with their cheaper options here, which range from $80 to $110 where they go. Buy these keyboards, there are options for a more premium version that comes in a nice aluminum case. You can choose switches but I'm going to choose what I think will be the most popular keyboards sold, those are your budget options since at the end of the day all of these keyboards do the same things even if you put them in a nice premium case so On my left we have the k-6 cron key, on the right we have the GK 68 XS ebo maker.

More Interesting Facts About,

epomaker gk68xs vs the keychron k6...

The first is the first. Look at the key caps, that's the first mystical style for you. Now, when it comes to the key cron, you also have these greyish, slightly dark gray tinted keys, and these really vibrant orange legends at the top and on the left and right sides. the bat, they are pretty, they have a nice smooth look, they have an OEM profile too, so there are no problems when it comes to playing and typing, but there is an ABS problem here, they are ABS plastic, which means that In time you will know. after a little bit of quick use, you're going to get a lot of oil and grease, it's just going to build up on these keys, these key caps here and they're just not going to last over time and I don't know why they show us going.

With ABS plastic unlike the GKC seats. I'm here? You have a double shot PB t option, well it's not an option that is automatically standard and that means it's more durable when it comes to these key captians. I don't have oil buildup. I'm not going to wear you down in general. I mean, I've heard some complaints with the GK cc8 that the legends were pretty inconsistent, but my board itself is pretty consistent throughout, except for the little asterisks on the eighth, let's find them a bit. blurry there, but other than that my source is pretty good on this board, it's an ex-dea profile so it personally doesn't bother me much, but XDA, if you take a look at the side here you'll notice it's like a finish flat so when it comes to typing it shouldn't be a problem but when it comes to gaming you might have some problems personally it never bothers me om it's my butt the xza isn't really too crazy for me what is ?

Really great at the manufacturer Ipoh is this space for option. I already have it installed here and it is very easy with small screws. You can remove their main space bar and they include a couple of extra switches and now you can turn that space bar into three. different switches, so if you're really in a place to go with macros, it's not a big deal for you, you can set this up, it's suitable for productivity, you can make the left side be the space bar and the other be any type of key you need. to do any macro you choose, look so good that you could do that, that's really cool, like I said, productivity, it's absolutely amazing, you don't see that on the cron key and honestly, you don't see that on a lot of keyboards nowadays. that's really cool, but it can also become a problem because let's say you know what you look at this evil creator board and you're like, "I really don't like these keys, you know you can't get out easily." and buy another set of keycaps because you're going to have problems when you find these little space bar keys, so that could be a problem, but you know, if you're not looking to change keycaps, that's not a big problem now.
Both keyboards have hot swappable PCBs, if you're not familiar with that, a hot swappable PCB basically allows you to take any current switch you have on the board and pop a new one in and out with ease, no soldering required, so if If you don't want to buy some new switches in the future or you might have a few switches in your house, you can easily put one in and out, mix and match whatever you see as suitable now. I also feel like every new keyboard these days Just come, you know, especially the Main Street board should come with the hot swappable PCBs which make life a little easier now that both keyboards have Bluetooth capability which is another big plus .
Obviously I don't see anyone playing with Bluetooth, but when it comes to typing, whether you're at work in an office or maybe just at home relaxing on the couch and browsing the web. Wireless is always a good option now, if you are a Mac user, this is great because both keyboards are compatible with Mac OS, yes, Mac, iOS, Windows, they are Android, you can connect up to three devices and you can easily navigate to each with the push of a button. I will say that overall though when using both keyboards, the Quran key is definitely an easier keyboard.
To navigate when it comes to all the options, the DeBolt has these plates, you really have it all listed in front of you on each key, whereas the GK 68 XS will take some getting used to and memorizing what function key it does. What I mean at the end of the day, although everything is in the manual and you can set your own functions and macros, but if you are just going to use the bone stock settings here, it will take you some time to memorize which key What about the gk 68, where do you know the cron key?
You can look here at the keys and you can see that most of it is basically labeled from there pretty easily, so now let's dig a little deeper into that navigation process. I said that the cron key is definitely an easier keyboard to navigate. I mean, they literally have an LED key switch in the top right corner, which at first I personally thought was pretty cool, but after using the keyboard for quite a while, I'll say it. Right now I seem to hit it a lot with my pinky when I go to press backspace, so it'll take a while to get used to it.
I mean, yeah, it's a personal issue, but it's definitely worth mentioning that what's really awesome is that the cron key. it has some switches built into the left side of the keyboard and these switches are not really seen on keyboards and what it does is it allows you to navigate even more easily through Bluetooth modes, turn Mac or Windows wired mode on or off, It's really super easy with just a flip of a switch up or down and I really love that now both keyboards are powered via USB type-c, that's cool but why I'll never understand?
They decided to put the USB type on the cron key. -c power port next to the buttons, literally right above the buttons on the left side, it's absolutely disgusting, seriously, it's one of the worst designs I've ever seen. I don't understand why they didn't just put the USB type. c on top of the keyboard it's like there really is a keyboard because once on the left side it's just in the way and not aesthetically pleasing to the eye and especially if you're a left handed mouse user this cable will come in. The way I now feel like they tried to mask it by giving you this L shaped USB Type C cable but they didn't know how to do anything else and it still doesn't work.
The key, the cable is simply widened. I felt like maybe they should have put some routing on the bottom of the actual keyboard where I could have forced the cable through and pulled it back and hit it that way, it wouldn't have been so bad, I would have minded. You know, it widens on the left side, but the fact that the cable just shoots out is not nice to look at and I don't understand the design process behind that and like I said, if you're a left-handed mouse user, well. good luck because that's going to get in the way so when it comes to general typing on both keyboards and yeah, I'll give you a sound test here in a moment.
I know bolt switches are different, but you still need to understand what each one sounds like. The case may seem with the switches I currently have that might help you get a sound test done in a moment, but when it comes to general typing between both keyboards, I will say that I have a better experience typing on the Chron key. about the gk 16 . Huge, so the legs on the back will lift up and give you multiple different height settings that you can easily open and close, which is always a plus. I feel like on the GK 68 you might have to invest in a wrist rest here and that's something.
To keep in mind, I want to say that it may be different for you, but it is a personal thing between both boards. I found it much more comfortable and a little easier to type for a longer period of time on the Chron key than the gk 68 XS, so let's talk about build quality. Both boards are the plastic case option. Now the Kronk key has an aluminum lip that goes around the entire case, but it doesn't do it much justice, I honestly think it damages the board a little because if you look at the edges, you have these weird little gaps and it's not super smooth and streamlined. as is the GK 68 and overall I will tell you that the key Chron feels a little cheesier, is a lighter board and has a slight flex to it.
This and the GK 68 are a much heavier board and don't really have much flex and you feel like you're getting a more premium board when it comes to the GK 68 XS, especially now if you remember those keycaps you're getting. the PBT on the GK 68 over ABS so the longevity and that cool look will be much better and long lasting on the GK 68 over the Chron keyboard so of course it's 2020 and every keyboard on earth and in the entire universe must have RGB, I mean come on, you can't have an RGB keyboard these days, so of course they both come up with RGB now, when it comes to LED intensity.
I feel like the Chron key takes the cake here, I mean, it could This is due to the fact that the key caps shine through the legends, which is always a plus, it just looks better aesthetically, but overall I feel like it's more vibrant and a little brighter and I guess you could say it's almost subtle in the end. At the same time, in the Kron key over the GK Success XS, but in general I want to say that the GK 68 has a much deeper color wheel. They also have their own program, you know, which I'll tell you right now.
It could because it's early right now, but the program is not easy for you. If you are like me and your native language is English, it will be a difficult time. I mean, if you put some time into it, you'll figure it out eventually. Featured because it's not much different from other LED programs and macro programs, but it's a little harder to navigate because it's not completely in English and it works, but it's not the best yet, so give it some time, hopefully they'll fix it. that, but you have a deeper color wheel option when it comes to the GK 68.
You can create your own colors. You can review this as sixty point eight million different color options. I'm pretty sure people upload one to the library, but you'll get more options through that on the GK 68, both have built-in presets that you can easily navigate through on both keyboards, but when it comes to LED intensity , I think it's better in key configuration, but when it comes to In addition to having more RGB and RGB options, like lighting modes and things like that, you'll get more in the gk 68, especially once you master its program. It's very quick to summarize it.
I feel like I've hit all the important points I wanted to talk about about these two keyboards. I know this wasn't a very deep video, but that's not what it's about. I'm just talking about some quick dos and don'ts here to help you achieve that end. I bought the set, so if I have to compare these two guys when it comes to build quality, I'll go with the GK 68. I liked it. The pbt key wheel will last and look better in the long run and is sturdier. Premium feel more robust than the cron key when it comes to RGB, the cron key will take the cake here and that's because of the vibrancy.
I don't really care about the color wheel as the color spectrum is so wide on the GK 68 that not a person who sits here and has my keyboard, anymoreYou know, going through a light show. I like a static color and I can get that with cron and make it quite vibrant, a little bit brighter and more vibrant than the GK 68, so when it comes to RGB I would go with the cron key. Now when it comes to the overall typing experience, navigation is absolutely very easy on the cron key. It's really all written out there for you, like a little map that you can't really have. any problems, especially when you enter the game personally.
I'm a pretty experienced keyboard user and I actually like the fact that I don't need to have all that stuff on my keys, you know, I don't have them either. I like the actual space bar. I love that the space bar can be changed to three different keys. I get more productivity when it comes to editing or some in-game macros. I can configure that. I know I could swap out some keys on the cron key and certain keys to do whatever, but I like having that extra option and I could see myself using it with the spacebar module on the GK 68 in general when it comes to typing experience, Like I said, it wasn't a big difference for me.
As far as the comfort aspect goes, I didn't have any problems. I used both keyboards for more than a day or two when I started typing and gaming, and yes, it was a little more comfortable. I guess you could say about the Cronk key. due to the height adjustment, but I didn't have any personal problems with the GK, although it really depends on the location of your wrist, how it feels when you type personally, there were no problems with me, so these are all Z's to keep in mind personals, but if I have to pick a clear winner, I'll go with the GK 68, although I think the one I have about a hundred and ten dollars is accidentally ten dollars more, so the key is to keep trying chronically. get less than a hundred dollars between eighty on sale and less or maybe a hundred dollars, which I've seen, so what's a good ten dollar price difference?
It's not enough to ruin you. I would personally go with the GK 68, it just suits my overall needs. for everything I do on a daily basis, but it may be different for you and like I said, if you're a Mac user, this is huge, you know, choose which keyboard you think is best and get a good premium, you know, keyboard mechanic. and start enjoying it man I hope you enjoyed the video if you did give it a big like share it with a friend.
