And I think I look a little like my mother. And the older I get, people tell me I talk like her, you know, my mannerisms. Oh. This made my day. - I was in pilot training in Texas. This is flying an AT-6, a training aircraft. Even better. I mean, the photo is

black

and

white

, and then the uniform was blue. It was the Air Force. So, I was Air Force blue, so that made it better. I loved flying and I regret not having done it. I couldn't be, but I have a history of motion sickness. They called it fear of flying or manifestation of apprehension.
I couldn't complete it. I had 64 hours of pilot training, almost 20 hours solo. So it was good. It just... it just wasn't for me. - Aww yes! Look at that, aren't those the cutest? I want them now. By the way, those monkeys were red. I still remember them. I loved those things. You made them red! Oh my God! Because they were. They were red. Look at that... and then my little blonde hair. Oh! That's in our backyard. My mom always loved wearing hats. And she had those kind of cat glasses, and my dad looks very handsome there. And my little brother, that's my other brother, my little brother, Eric. And I, even at that age, think I'm a bit of a fashionista. Oh, wow! Well, you put my dad in a blue suit and my mom in a kind of green dress. Very pretty. You made my little shoes match my little dress. How nice. Because she is a fashionable figure. She would want to be coordinated. All the old photographs I have are all

black

and

white

, so it's really nice to see what can be done with them. - Oh, oh!
That's my sister, Addie! My sister is older than me. I am 73 years old. She is 74. I haven't seen my sister in quite a few years. But I remember that that little dress is a plaid dress. (gasps) This is beautiful. But I remember that the dress was blue. - Oh yeah! (applause) This was my fifth birthday. This was at our home in San Miguel in Woodland Hills. As every child wants, I rented a pony for my birthday party. He wanted to be Dale Rogers at that

time

when he was a kid. When I grew up I was going to become a Dale Rogers.
Oh God. I don't know why I look so unhappy, because I was excited. I wasn't going to... I remember I wasn't going to get off the horse. That was my fifth birthday. And then we moved. The following year we were in the new house. Oh God. I love that horse. - This was when I

first

got into the business at the beginning... I'm trying to think. Around 1957 or 1958. And I needed some photographs. And I answered an ad in a magazine for a photographer. In exchange for posing for him in photographs, he would give you photographs to make a portfolio.
You know, I have to be honest, I prefer black and white. This is fine, but I mean, it seemed to have... you know, it's kind of a meaty drink. And I could see more definition in my abs in black and white. - Ooh, there I am in the corner. I look so sad. Mr. Flower. Oh God...she was terribly in love with him. Yes, Mr. Blossom. This is fourth grade. Oh my God. I know he was wearing a white shirt. And up there is Barbara. And I remember this little boy here. I forget his name, but when we graduated in eighth grade, he didn't hold my hand, because we had to walk side by side and get our diploma.
That was very painful. - Oh, the professional photographer came to the house. Even back then I loved posing for the camera. And that book was my favorite book. It has a red cover and was something about a bunny that could fly. I still have the book. and I know what

color

the dress is. We'll see what happens. Correct. Correct. My hair was maybe... hard to believe, but it was white blonde. It wasn't naturally curly like that. He put it in curls. I was very excited when the photographer came, because even then I was an amateur. - Okay, this is a movie I made in Greece in 1960.
It was called "It Happened in Athens." - (man) Well, what do you know, guys? We represent the entire United States. - Yes, that looks better. Yes, everyone looks better. I mean, the guy in the blue suit and the actress there, that's... yeah, the color enhanced this photo for sure. I made this movie and I came back... and this was in Athens. And I went back to Rome and did some theater. And I got into English dubbing Italian movies and started getting some movies. And one thing led to another, and I ended up staying 20 years, meeting wonderful people and... (choked) and meeting my future wife there.
And I don't regret it one bit. - Oh, that was my cowboy and I when we got married. And he painted that background. We dressed in our wedding attire and took it to the studio with the background painted. And he made it so that at the reception we could just hand out pictures to people. (laughs) Oh, wow! Yeah, you didn't take it too far from what it really was. How did they know that? And our accessories were pinkish purple. A little more purple than that, but the pink is beautiful. Oh, it's a wonderful thing, because, of course, I love my husband.
We have been together for more than 35 years. (muffled) And if I keep talking, I'm going to get very emotional. He looks very handsome there and is still the love of my life. It is wonderful. It takes you back in

time

. But it's also sentimental. You know, all those emotions come back. - It's emotional, and also... I'm always amazed at how far technology has come, because I remember the agitation, and I was among it, of protesting coloring when Ted Turner started doing that, because it was just horrible. But it's emotional just

seeing

your mom's face and your dad's face suddenly in color again.
Normally when the images are black and white, they're old, you know? But psychologically this seems to be more current. I have been part of Elders React for two years. And I've been in many episodes. But I really think this is the one that will always be at the top of the list for me.
