Feb 27, 2020
Hello guys, welcome to the video. Today's vehicle is a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. We're in for a full breakdown, so let's take a look so it's very clear that the inside of this truck hasn't been cleaned in quite some time. So, along with the usual

dirty

floor mats, there is a bit of dirt, dust and other debris around the entire truck, but not only do we have to deal with a good amount of pet hair and the moment I raised the back seats , I knew it. They were going to have to come out because the

carpet

s under them had all kinds of

nasty

stains that would have to be removed with the Bissell now taking a quick look at the outside and like most vehicles I see there is a fair amount of dirt around the the whole truck, especially the wheels and the running boards, you know, just before we jump into the video, take a second and subscribe to the channel.

I post a new video every Friday, so make sure you have the bell on to receive notifications every time. week when those videos go live alright guys it's time to start transforming this truck so sit back relax and enjoy so while we get started on the prewash rinse here I thought I'd give you a quick heads up again in case you didn't see the last video where I recently switched to using an electric pressure washer for the rest of the winter. Here the unit I purchased is a two and a half horsepower Bertolini pressure washer that moves two gallons per minute at 1900 psi, so if any of you are curious, it's linked in the description at the top, but basically There were a number of factors that influenced the decision, particularly the noise and ventilation of the gas pressure washer which I normally use, although it is only temporary.

I will use my Honda again once I can wash outside again in a few months. Now I'm moving to the back here and you'll notice that this tailgate has been sprayed with a spray and a bed liner material like Line-X, which you definitely don't use. I don't see it very often so I can only assume the owner probably tows quite a bit with this truck and didn't want the tailgate to be completely covered in rock chips so they went with a super durable finish and to be honest , it actually looks something like this. Decent on this truck now as far as

cleaning

goes, although I will still treat it like the rest of the vehicle and spray it and then wash and dry it, but obviously not wax it later, luckily for me with this.

Being a 2006 model year, GM hadn't started using

carpet

ed wheel well liners yet, so I can spray them super quick and I'll make sure to spray the rim really well as it's an easy place for road salt to get. road to settle and start rusting a vehicle now, one of the coolest things I have in my

detailing

arsenal is this undercarriage sprayer which, as you can see, makes it very easy to spray the underside of the truck, which which is really important for any vehicle in a Northern Climate where the roads are salty so if you are curious where you can get one I have the link in the description so feel free to check it out if you are interested they have a Very reasonable price and they are a lot of fun. use the foreign one, it's fine, so if any of you have been thinking about buying a foam cannon, I highly recommend you pick one from Amazon like the one I'm using as it's just as good as the ones that cost three. or four times the price and is capable of producing a nice thick lather as you can see I always use just a few ounces of my usual car wash soap in the bottle and it works great so with the truck drying out a bit for drip, I am I turn my attention to all the

dirty

mats and will first start by spraying them to remove as much dirt as possible and then follow up with an all-purpose cleaner and my soft wheel brush to remove them. nice and clean and if any of you were curious and I know some of you will be the shoes I'm wearing now are vesis and they're completely waterproof so it's really nice as it's almost impossible to keep water from splashing out.

I stand up while

detailing

, which isn't really a problem when I'm wearing flip flops, but with socks and shoes on it's not very nice to have wet feet inside the shoes, so okay, I go inside and first thing I do . What I always do is remove clients' personal items that were left behind and if you're curious, I always pick them up in a bag and then leave it in the back seat when I'm done with the vehicle and the reason why I didn't return everything It's because many of my clients told me that they were very glad they had the opportunity to check everything because in many cases I find things in the vehicle that they didn't even know were there.
They really appreciate it now, as I mentioned at the beginning, after seeing some of the stains under these back seats, I knew they had to get out because there would have been no way to put the bissell on some of them if they had stayed. It's fine on the vehicle, so before I start on the piles of debris on the floor, I'll work from top to bottom with the vacuum and a boar hair brush which does a very good job of removing any dirt or dust. all the cracks and in the void, looking at the footprints and the rugs where the seat frame was, it's very clear why they needed to come out as it seems like most of the stains on these rugs were right next to or even slightly below I mark it, not to mention that there was also some dirt and debris underneath that I would never have been able to reach here is all the dirt and hair that my vacuum sucked up from this truck.
I have to say it's pretty much that I thought it was time to remove all of these stains on these carpets and for anyone who's curious I'm just using a regular pump sprayer to remove the solution from the carpet and then after After it has sat for about two or three minutes, it can penetrate stains. I'll go over it with the brush so that everything is suspended and lifted from the fibers so that the Bissell can suck it all up. Here's a quick before and after shot on this section of the rug and it really shows. new now I have to say that working on a vehicle with lighter colored carpets is definitely more fun than one with black carpets as I can see where the stains are much easier and the visual impact of removal is even greater.
Lighter rugs definitely give me more satisfaction than darker ones. Now, after I have made a first pass over the entire section, I usually change direction and make another pass, and the reason is that the carpet fibers usually run in one direction. usually front to back, so going side to side just helps make sure I can remove all the dirt and solution. Typically, on each section of carpet I work on, I'll do three to six passes spraying water the entire time and then do a final pass where I'm just extracting to get as much water out as possible now while sucking up more

nasty

stains. on this carpet with the bissell here, I thought I would let you know that the Links to almost all the products and tools that I use, including the Bissell drill brush and the carpet solution that I am using, are in the description, so don't hesitate in reviewing them and if any of you have been looking to buy a pump, I would.
I highly recommend Bissell Spot Cleaning Professional. I've definitely used mine a lot more than the average person would and it still works perfectly, but not to mention it really can't be beat for the price. Here is one of the nastiest looking water buckets out there. I once got out of a vehicle and I wanted to show you a tool that I use occasionally and it is a tornado that is connected to my air compressor and basically what it does is blow compressed air, which is useful for removing dirt or debris. out of cracks, crevices or other hard to reach areas, but it also gives you the ability to spray

cleaning

solution at the same time, so I have some APC diluted 10 to 1 in the container and I'll go around it as I normally would. and spray this around all the cracks and crevices and then just wipe things down with a microfiber towel now of course if you've seen any of my other videos you'll know you can do the same thing with the detail brush and in many In In most cases, that's the best method, as the tornado doesn't offer any stirring ability if you run into something that's a little dirty, so it's not something I use very often, but it can definitely save you a little time on certain areas of a vehicle now.
On the seat frames, I'm using an all-purpose cleaner diluted 10 to 1 and just wiped them down with a microfiber towel since they really weren't dirty enough to warrant using the steamer. Now for these dirty pedals, I'm going to take them out. the mcculloch steamer and I blast it with steam and the stiff bristle attachment so they are nice and clean and I know I've seen some people ask recently why I don't do the pedals before I pull out the rugs and the reason is because when I use the brush drill on carpets, it tends to throw solution everywhere, so if they were already clean, you would just have to repeat the job.
It only takes a second to place a towel underneath and ensures your rug stays clean once again. The advantage of having these seats out of the truck is that I can clean and condition the leather a little easier by spraying some of my mcguire's d181 leather cleaner. I'm using my soft horsehair brush to agitate, I'm not sure I can tell. but the foam was turning a light shade of brown which means these seats were actually quite dirty and you can also notice that I'm making sure to get under the headrest and around the cup holders as well and I've probably mentioned this before but That's just one of those things I could never skip even if my clients had never moved the headrest or lowered the cupholders for years and never knew I did it, it's just not in my nature to ever cut corners and I always try to deliver perfection with my details now with the seats nice and clean, then I will apply a little conditioner to keep this leather nourished and feeling soft and supple now to dress up and UV protect all the interior trim, I am applying a little Aerospace Protector 303 with a pad microfiber applicator and if it looks a little shiny when I apply it it is simply because it is wet and there is light shining on it, but once it dries it will leave a nice matte texture, not slippery and not greasy. finish that will leave the interior like new if you're curious I have the link in the description so if you want to detail your own car I highly recommend purchasing a bottle now as far as wax removal goes.
It's pretty simple, but one thing I always do is turn my towel over to a new side for every panel or two, and that's because the fibers will fill with debris and once they're full, they'll start pushing debris over. the painting. So by moving to a new section and using two to three towels throughout the vehicle, the chance of seeing a mark later is reduced and the removal process is now much easier for any exterior plastic trim, like on these stirrups. I'll always apply some 303 which will revive any faded trim and really make it pop well and 11 hours later I have this black on

sierra

black looking absolutely sick.
