CAN I BEAT A POKÉMON PLATINUM HARDCORE NUZLOCKE WITH ONLY FIGHTING TYPES!? (Pokémon Challenge)

Jun 06, 2021
Welcome everyone, my name is Sylf and this is my attempt to

beat

a Pokémon Platinum

hardcore

nuzlocke

with

only

fighting

type Pokémon. If you've seen our

challenge

s, you know the rules and you can check below the video for a more detailed list, but in a nutshell. You can

only

catch the first fight type encounter in a given route or area You cannot catch duplicates or legendaries If a pokemon faints it must be boxed permanently There are no items except health items in the battle group Pokemon levels are limited to the next gym leader or elite strength ace and finally, battle mode must be on set at all times.

That being said, what exactly does Platinum have to offer in terms of

fighting

types

? Well, it's a bit of a complicated question in theory, these are all the fully evolved fighting

types

that would be available. One problem for us is that we can't get Machamp since Nuzlocke's extreme rules don't allow us to connect to other games, meaning we're stuck with Machoke. There are two other really interesting situations when it comes to these encounters, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it with seven potential encounters in total. This is definitely one of the more limited one-type

challenge

s, which should be challenging, but for many reasons you'll see, I'm excited for it if you haven't already.

Make sure you come along for the ride by hitting the subscribe button as most of the viewers of the series are not subscribed as they might forget but it really helps let's do this now. I think it's obvious which launcher you'll choose here. absolute legend tur twig okay, we will take chimchar according to our other challenges. We are allowed to use our starter until the first possible time we can obtain a Pokémon of the correct type, after which the starter must be boxed. Chimchar gets the fighting type upon evolving it, but since we won't actually be able to use it in battle we'll have to wait until we can get the XP part to evolve it, our chimchar ends up having a mischievous nature which is more defensive and less special.

Attack Infernape is kind of a mixed attacker, so this isn't fantastic, but it's definitely not the worst we could have gotten. I called Chimchar Hothead, but while playing the intro I thought something looked wrong here, it didn't until I watched. another d letter, you're sick and then I realized I wrote let me fix that real quick, our rival battle goes smoothly and right after this is the first time we can access a fighting type Pokémon by going directly through from Orberg and north to the patch. of grass on route 207 where we can find a machop, we caught one and named it brian.
can i beat a pok mon platinum hardcore nuzlocke with only fighting types pok mon challenge
Mr. Brian has a docile nature which is neutral and I totally agree with that and he also has the guts ability which increases his attack power if he has a status condition personally I'm a big fan of noguard which means his attacks they can't miss, which works great in combination with dynamic punch and stone edge, but guts can definitely also be useful if we find a way to set it up safely afterwards. This forces us to bank Chimchar, but I'm sure that We will see him again soon. While grinding the slash, learn the karate slash, which is a 60 power move with a high critical hit ratio, and it's not too bad once we're in there either.
Level 13 I decide to go to the first gym now even though we only have one Pokémon. I feel pretty confident for this gym, not only are we super effective against everything in it, but Machop also has a pretty decent defense stat. Gym Trainers are very easy and it's time for our first Gym Leader, Rourke, due to another challenge we have on Twitch right now. I always get nervous going into Rourke, but this time it feels very, very good to finally have a chance. his geodude survives a karate chop and hits us with a rock throw, after which Rook uses a potion, but we take him out with two more hits.
He then sends out a kranidos that, for some reason, chases us even though we resist and has a perfectly good headbutt. He moves strangely, flies out of there with another karate chop. Onyx comes in and we also get a low kick that does more damage depending on how heavy the opponent is, so Onyx being a big boy ends up being his downfall. Does he ever feel strange being? Able to defeat Rourke so easily. First gym badge acquired when leaving Jubalife. We run into a mysterious man who ends up threatening Don's life. Professor Rowan just doesn't give an absolute and proceeds to list literally all the things that are wrong with this guy that this man is having.
Absolutely roasted, he will never be the same as long as he is in Floroma Town. I remember one of the great difficulties we will probably have during this race. The honey trees. You see. One of our potential encounters around the world can only be found in these trees. and there's about a one percent chance of being found in them. Honey trees only produce a Pokémon once every six actual hours of gameplay. Additionally, not adjusting the game clock does nothing, so this is a daunting prospect. Honey trees are ridiculously complicated, but there are basically four trees in the entire region.
It's what's called a munchlax tree. Where you can find munchlax, but it also increases your chances of finding other rare Pokémon like apom and hera by about one. five percent. There are tools online where you can use your trainer ID to find two of your munchlax trees and surprisingly ours end up being the first and third tree you can find. My strategy is to simply put honey on every tree I find and hope for the best during the race at Valley Wind Works. We have a terrifying battle against Commander Mars. and one I had missed on a previous attempt at this race, this time I decided to get the rock grave from the devastated path and show it to Brian ahead of time, this is because she starts with a zubat which is super annoying and we couldn't do a lot of damage right now, it hits us with a bite and knocks us back twice in a row, but then it turns toxic, which now that we have a move that can hurt, is fantastic as it activates our gut ability, this allows for it to be let's take it out with Rock Tomb, in comes Harper Ugly, which is actually a terribly fast and powerful Pokémon and hits us with a fake right away, which combined with toxic takes us to less than half, then accelerates and goes for zero, which it brings us down to just 12 hp, after which we can take it out with a stab, a super effective guts-powered karate chop, phew, that was a mouthful without the rock tomb.
I honestly don't think that battle would have been possible at all after walking through a turn of the forest, we made it. to Turner City where I can finally share the experience, unfortunately we haven't seen enough Pokémon to get it yet so I head to the next route to find some new Pokémon and interestingly we stumble upon a meditation place here for some reason during En my research, I had written Mount Coronette as the first place we can meditate, but apparently it was out, but I'm not complaining. We captured meditation and gave it a name for the benefit of those of you who have seen our game Ruby Psychic.
I know why Profit has a brave nature plus attack, which is really good, and less speed, which is really bad, but it balances out. I guess after a few more encounters, we've officially seen 40 Pokémon and can share the experience. We are exalted again. group and while I was meditating I put the shared experience on it and it finally evolves into monferno, which means we officially have a third type of fighting Pokémon. Well now those of you who have played the gen 4 games and picked up chimchar, I'm sure you know this. how easy this next battle is in the gym.
I usually choose piplup or turtwig, so I'm new to this, but it's exciting. The most that gardenia has is that her turtwing uses a reflection since it survives a flame wheel, but if anything, this kind of slows down the process since most of her Pokémon can actually make magic leaves and that's everything, so his turtwig and cherum are quick work, his rosary survives a wheel of flames and he throws a stunning spore at us, but we can overcome the paralysis. and take him down with about half health remaining. I like the way this is going so far, but I'm not too confident about what's to come as I prepare for galactic building.
I found this little corner on a random route and this girl is here and she starts talking about being flirty and proceeds to give us the tm to captivate, look lady, I know it's quarantine and everything, but you have to calm down, this whole situation doesn't okay just outside the galactic eternal building, we find the tm for thief, which i'm thinking will be useful later, the galactic build goes well and we end up finding commander jupiter at the end against his zubat. Our fast claw actually activates and we hit it hard with the rock tomb, but it survives and hits us with a strong wing attack below half, luckily.
The speed drop allows us to overcome him on the next turn since he was unsure and we took him out. This gun tank comes out next and hits us hard with a night slash, but luckily there's no crit and we get to 13 hp before we hit it. tough with a karate chop about halfway through, I have to switch here so I go into hot head that holds up well to the night slash and is able to take it out with a few more fire wheels after its citrus berry could have given a lot scary, but we did it well.
As we leave Eterna we meet Cynthia who offers us an egg I am forced to reject it but she says I just want to give you a hand that's all she's too sweet it's fine I'll accept it but don't tell the viewers it's time to what i fear most in my life, the hard gym at home ghost type, the trainers in the gym are hard but manageable as metatite helps against gastlies with confusion and machop helped against idiots with rock tomb and i also taught machop thief already that she's the only one on her team who can use it, but Fantina isn't that manageable.
I was forced to clear and lost three entire races having to restart the entire game from the beginning because of her stupid malagia that outperforms everyone on our team and is super effective. I moved against all of them. I tried spamming mentally calm profit triggering with Brian Burn avoiding with a hot head and nothing worked. I got all of our Pokémon to the maximum level cap and Fantina starts with Twilight while I lead with Machop trying to prime. the willow allows us to activate our guts ability, the thief does about half of it and then the dust target goes in pursuit, which isn't the burning, but at least it's not a future view like a couple of other times, knowing that We need the burn, I'm going for the rock grave. so we don't ko and luckily the gold dust does willowisp this turn, Fantina uses a super potion and then the thief gets a two hit ko from there as we get to about two thirds into the burn she then sends out a hunter who uses shadow claw, but luckily we don't get crits this time and our orenberry helps us a little before we hit koat with the thief, who would have killed without the crit anyway, Miss Maggias arrives and this is what better what we're going to do. able to get it so I go for the thief and pray for some reason I can't understand why she chooses the magic leaf so we survive with 3 hp and we can use the thief which does about half the damage and steals her citrus , Oh my God.
That's what I was desperately trying to get out of all this time. There's nothing I can do here, although neither Medite nor Monferno can take two hits from Miss Maggies on a fourth switch, so I had to fire Brian, which was really annoying, but at least he's the one. Pokémon in our team we couldn't fully evolve anyway, I send her hot head here, she uses a side beam that hurts us a lot up to a third, but luckily Flame Wheel can do the job from here, my god, give me the badge and take me out from here almost immediately after we have a battle with Barry with only two Pokémon, he leads with Star Avia, which intimidates Hot Head from the beginning, but I decide to go for Flame Wheel and hope to get burned since there's nothing else. we can do it, he does about half and star avia goes for double team, but we hit him again with the flame wheel and he lives with what must be a hp and he hits us hard with the wing attack, luckily the priority simulated hit does the job, print plup.
Next, this is the perfect opportunity to get rid of the attack knockdown by switching to Profit, who proceeds to hit him hard with the force palm and knock him out.cripples, but Prim Plop still hits us for up to 12 hp before we can take it out. Rosalía comes out next. Which is a great opportunity for the exalted to return to the tank, mega drain, and take him out with the fire wheel. The last one is Ponyta, who is eliminated with two simulated hits. Barry, please leave me alone until he has more Pokémon on the way to the next gym. and veilstone, we get some upgrades like the brick brake, a fist plate and we also show off my infernal shadow claw that we got from Fantina.
This whole stretch involves a lot of trainers, so we had to fight hard to stay under the level cap with only two Pokémon, but attaching our shared experience alone makes it possible for the Veilstone gym to be a fighting gym, so we're On equal footing with the gym trainers, although meditating psychic writing helps, we had a super close call with a cross hair. although that got us to nine hp, gym leader melanie starts with a meditation and i decide to leave our own meditation, which she hits us with a feint to flinch and then use a high jump kick on the next turn to do it. a third, she uses a rock tomb to slow us down, then hits us with another one the next turn to less than halfway, after which we can take it out with the force palm to ensure the precision machoke comes out next and with our reduced speed, I'm nervous, but we survived a force of only 3 hp before doing about half that with a mess that was uncomfortably close.
I'm forced to switch to Monferno here, who gets hit by a rock tomb on the switch for speed draw, but Flame Wheel gets a crit to take him out. lucario is our last pokemon and we get hit up to 33 hp with the power palm and we get paralyzed, we break through and hit it hard with a super effective flame wheel and then due to the paralysis I opt for priority simulated hit and we achieve go through the ko wow, even without the machoke creed we would still have survived. It's just the unfortunate paralysis that made that priority move completely terrifying, thank goodness, although that was definitely the key given that it's been 6 hours. since my last round of honey trees i decided to go check them out flo roma gives us a cherubi valley windworks gives us a combi and route 205 doesn't give us any way the third tree we checked gives us a heracross granted it was one of our munchlax trees but Unfortunately there is still a five percent chance, I realized that I forgot to stock up on balls, but with only 6 balls left we managed to capture him successfully, I call him Hercules and found that he has a careful nature plus a special defense and minus an attack special, which is perfectly fine with Finally we have another team member on our way to Pastoria.
Hot Head evolves into Infernape and also learns melee combat, which should be a big help upon arrival. In fact, we also have access to our next meeting. Krogunk. However, Krogan is only available in the Great Swamp. on certain days, since it's one of the changing encounters in

platinum

, so instead of just waiting for it to be there, we can go to route 212, where there are 10 chances of finding one. I don't know why, but it took me a long time to find you. I imagine you'd find one in every 10 encounters or so, but I swear to God I found at least 75 Pokémon before I encountered one, eventually we caught one and named it McGregor, come on, it might be a little toxic, sometimes McGregor has a audacity. nature, which is more defense and less attack, are you kidding me?
Absolutely brutal on this route lies what I believe will be one of the keys to this race. One of the fragment movement tutors. This guy has a lot of moves we need, like thunder punch and zen. headbutt, I'm forced to go looking for shards all over the region, especially in the big swamp, where we're going, I got them and we did the damn moves happily while grinding krogung, I lost my damn mind because we actually found a glowing weasel, keep in mind account. This is one of those games where Shani has a 1 in 8 192 chance. I actually lost my mind, not only that, but I caught him with glowing claws activated and he ended up having a modest nature, the best due to the cover moves and the ability to swim fast.
This thing is literally perfect, there's no way I'm calling it Goldeneye and putting it on PC. That thing is our new lucky charm as the grinding wins end up evolving into a meta cham and as much as I'm going to miss the little head of garlic. It's the kind of power we need, as our unique krikatot

platinum

run taught me, Barry of course ambushes us right outside the gym and I lead with Metacham who, despite intimidation, hit Ko Staravia with a thunder punch, awesome, but then primplep survives and then hits us. with a bubble beam he crits and we literally survive with 5 hp, oh my god, I switch to Hercules and Arielase finishes off that stupid Ponyta thing he comes out and I switch to hot head who takes him out with two solid melee fights and Rosalía is a ko easy. with Flamewheel now that we have some Pokémon on our team that were much more manageable look here little one you will ambush me again and I will march on the battlefront here and tell your father that the Pastoria gym is a bit worrying for us or at least that's how it was before we managed to take the thunder strike, but we still have to be careful, we pass the trainers pretty cleanly and it's time to wake up the water gym leader.
What really worries me is that he goes with gyarados with intimidating thunder but with profits. The hit is a single hit, however, Floatzel comes out next and hits us with a crunch, but the thunder strike does a lot of damage and the citrus berry from it activates. He then uses brine to get us to about a third, but we can eliminate it on the next turn. Quagsire is a tough cookie for us since Ground is super effective against two of our Pokémon, so I send out Hercules, which is probably our best bet. grave to reduce our speed, but surprisingly we are even faster and can defeat him definitively.
A gym that could have been scary, but with a strike of thunder and just enough pivots on our team, we did a pretty solid job after this. Barry asked us if Cynthia is our sister uh no she wait a minute is she yours? resolve gen 4 with access to routes 208 and 209, technically we have another opportunity for a new encounter with roltz that eventually evolves into a clearing with a dawn stone that we have and that is part of the fight type. I prayed so hard that we would get a male role. but in both encounters we got women, since we are only allowed the first viable encounter on each route, technically it wasn't meant to be that way.
That stings us on our way to Celestic Town, we take the tm for Shadow Ball and McGregor evolves into Toxic Croak and also learns a poison jab which should be pretty solid for coverage while he's on a date with Cynthia's grandma and the celest dastard. cyrus of all people shows up and interrupts asking her on a date in the middle of our date according to the code of honor we owe. now fighting to win his heart after being hit with an ice punch, medicham hits nielsen with a four times effective force palm, we also outspeed and hit ko golbat with a zen headbutt, but murkrow somehow

beat

s us He outspeeds us and hits us with a drill for just 2 hp, but the thunder strike does the job, my god what the hell was it that apparently the speed of murkrow's mace is a singular point higher than the goal that the bats scored?
I thought it would be less than that, I guess since honchcro's speed is 20 points worse than murkrow, we arrive in Cantalave city and before we can challenge the gym, we have another rival battle with Barry, he leads with his now fully evolved star, after intimidating and because he keeps using the double buff of the equipment, he has a great difficulty in hitting them, he eventually hits us with an area bead for well below the middle, but our thunder strike finally hits, but it's not enough. uh-oh, my best bet now is a priority move, so I switch to hothead who takes an aerial ace with less than half and luckily lands the fake hit despite the evasion-increasing empoleon coming out next and, in In a sense, it's worse for Barry now that he's evolved as he now has Steel type, making him an easy KO in close combat.
Barry's heracross comes out next and I'm a little worried we won. I don't ko, but I don't want to force the switch for a free hit and Flamewheel actually misses the ko and hits us with an aerial ace, but we live with the 8hp Flame Wheel and then we can finish him off. Rapidash comes out next, so I'm forced to switch to Toxic Croak, who tanks take down pretty well and is able to respond with two revenge attacks to take him down at just under half health. Rosario is his last Pokémon and I find that Heracross is a pretty good counter that basically resists.
All of his moves and we can take him down with an aerial cordon while he just throws toxic spikes at times, but a solid battle overall, after that we can take our sixth and final encounter of the run heading up. to Iron Island, after helping Riley get through the island's caves, he gives us a Pokémon egg. We frantically ride up and down the town of Cantalave like a madman for 10 minutes and the egg hatches and gives us a ryolu which we nickname cobalt. Cobalt has a rushing nature plus speed and less defense, which works for me.
I'm very grateful that we got this when we did while we were struggling to stay below the level cap and now we can use it instead. I take cobalt through melon gym trainers with the shared experience during which we almost lost metacham to a furious scizor but we made it now I actually decide to use ryolu as a special attacker since he gets some moves cool backstab specials, he has a great special attack higher than his actual attack and Otherwise we only have physical attackers, so I think it's a smart move to help him evolve faster.
I hit the massage girl and Veilstone and also put the calming bell on her to increase her happiness level. I then teach him vengeance so he can have something to hit the ghost guys with and proceed to bash him in the old castle against spooks, which gives the evies special attacks. The process is slow but it works as Ryolu eventually evolves into Lucario and after leveling with higher level Pokémon elsewhere, he eventually reaches Level 38 and learned Aurasphere, as well as a fantastic stab move. I can't level him up too much because we need some buffer since the next gym cap is only 2 levels higher than this one at level 43.
I feel pretty confident in Byron though, since all of his Pokémon are from steel type and are weak to fight especially against a special attacker like Lucario, as it turns out we were well prepared when Lucario proceeds to hit each of their Pokémon with aurosphere, since they. We are physically bulkier and Bastiodon of course has a four times weakness to fight, amazing, not only that but Byron also gives us the flash canon tm to win which is the perfect move for Lucario. This whole place was made for Lucario. I swear, I can't. However, be overconfident as we only have five Pokémon left.
Well, I'm not kidding, this has to be like the third time we've faced explosions in this game. What the hell were the developers thinking every step I take in this game? I'm worried about another bam and I send my pants in front of Cynthia or something. We defeat Jupiter and Mars in their respective lakes with relative ease and make the grueling trip to Snowpoint City after some close calls from one of the house girls. an intriguing trade offer to the hunter from her for a meta cham we actually have, however I'm pretty sure this is the girl who puts an eternal stone on the hunter so it doesn't evolve when you get it.
I will not fall for your sorcerer's methods. today hell, it's time for the Snow Point City gym, another gym we're super effective against, although this one brilliantly survives a force palm on one hp, gets paralyzed apparently doesn't care and nearly takes us out next turn. I guess we have to do it. Be a little more careful than I thought. Also, I always talk about how much I hate this gym puzzle and this time it was like a bug in my game. I have no idea what it is, but it made it even more confusing than it already is.
It's time for the gym leader, Candace, and I'm being cautiously optimistic about this, she starts with a sneasel and II start with infernape, now sneazel actually outspeeds us and has an aerial lace, so I go for a priority simulated hit to take him out with that one. Piloswine, sweet with four times the effectiveness, comes next and since it has a stab earthquake, I can't take any risks, so I opt for close combat, which lowers our defenses, of course, comes the frozen whip and the speed level is very close, but I take a chance and the Fire Wheel hits first but survives on red.
Oh, I wasn't expecting that, but in all honesty I didn't make the couch like some idiotic psychic hit us hard and we survived with 5 hp to take him out, oh my god. Almighty, that was Obama's fool. Snow is next and summons the hail and I'm like oh man we can't change anything on that monster so this time I did the math and luckily we were guaranteed a KO with four times as effective flame wheels. That was almost a brutal loss. I'm very grateful they didn't punish us. We return to Valestone because we have to dominate the galactic team headquarters.
Now Cyrus is one of the coaches in this game that I fear the most because he loves it. the flying types of him and now he has an air cutter crowbat and a honchcro peck drill for this battle. I made sure to prepare thoroughly to level up with a couple of rare candies, place a magnet on Meta-chan to increase the thunder strike, and calculate every step of the battle that I knew. that at this level and with these stats we could defeat every single one of his Pokémon with Medicham Cyrus starts with a sneeze and goes for an ice blast and are you kidding me?
We froze on the first turn, suddenly, my whole world. He's turned upside down now so Sneezel hits us again and we still haven't defrosted. This is bad. I'm forced to switch to Infernape, who gets hit by a quick attack before taking him out with a priority fake punch. Crowbat comes and surpasses in speed. Hitting us below half with an air cutter and a flame wheel does almost nothing, as Lucario isn't weak to flying due to his steel typing. I send him in next and hit him with two air cutters less than halfway before firing a flash cannon. he barely kills crowbat after he uses a hyper potion, we cut him down to less than a quarter, but we're too hurt.
I have to switch since even a quick attack would only do 12-14 percent and I probably have around 20. The health issue is that nothing can take away two air cutters followed by a strength change meta president and Fernaper weak. Heracross is four times weak to flight. McGregor is my only option when switching. McGregor gets hit below mid with an air cutter, but then we can use priority. low blow to eliminate the crowbat, that's good, but the hodgecrow is next. The best I can hope for is a crit with a poison jab, but we don't get it and toxicrow is taken down with a drill.
Our second death, that one stung a lot. without the freeze we would have been fine and we are already limited enough in our Pokémon. Lucario comes in and saves the day with super speed and the flash cannon. It was a tough battle right after this. I felt very proud of myself because I really remembered it. The battle of Saturn happens immediately after, but I was so baffled that I actually looked at his Diamonds and Pearls team, where he starts with a kadabra and was going to use Infernape Shadowclaw, but I ended up leading Infernape against Golbat, dear lord, anyway.
We can make relatively easy work of him thanks to Mettaham after doingOn our way through Mount Corona we encounter a combined attack from Jupiter and Mars, but a combination of the amazing Lucario type of meta-cham to deal with both the armored tank like with the poor ugly guy who absolutely stops them both in their tracks, oh, and very sweet movements. obviously we handled them without a problem, it's time to follow cyrus to giratina's giant hole, okay that could have been worded better, we traverse the parallel universe for an hour with the help of the deranged goblins and reach our final destination.
I was going to say a place, but how do I locate exactly where our final destination is here to fight Cyrus one last time? This time he has a hound that he leads with and though hells could be viable here if he sends the boss or something next to do it. It won't be as good, so I send Meta-chan first, since I know Doom has willows. I put a reddish berry on Meta Cham, but he uses a flamethrower instead, which deals heavy damage at less than half Forcepom and is able to take him out in one go.
Although Hans Crow comes out next and luckily we beat the speed and are able to execute our strategy we had last time we fought him before we froze, taking him out with a thunder strike, Crobat comes next which is pretty scary , so I enter lucario. instead, on the switch, Lucario takes an aerial slash above half, gets hit by another one to bring him up to 23 hp, doesn't flinch, and is able to grab the stick below half with a flash cannon, although we can't live another one so I'm thinking we're doomed here, I decide to switch to Infernape since he's the only thing we have left that can tank one and Cyrus switches to Gyarados, what the hell why did he switch?
He could have eliminated Lucario. I'm immensely confused but I go for a thunder strike and take out the gyros. What just happened is that Crobat actually comes out again and I have to hope he doesn't flinch. We survived with 43 hp remaining and took him out with a thunder strike. We, vile, is his last Pokémon. and unfortunately I ditched the simulated punch for the thunder punch, which has been good so far, but is a serious mistake right now. I'm forced to switch to Heracross, who gets hit by a fake on the Switch Weavil and then uses an ice punch, but Heracross survives. with 23 hp on red to take him out with 4 times effective in close combat oh man I have no idea why he changed but I'm glad he did that saved us after the battle Cyrus leaves no I know where he thinks he is.
I'm going to go down here, but okay, after reaching Sunnyshore City, it's time to face our eighth and final gym, the electric gym run by Faulkner. We both deal neutral damage to each other, but I know his team is fast, so we have to be careful. place a cherry berry on some of his pokemon and go for it with metacham. First jyotian hits us with a charge beam that also deals a special attack, but the force pawn does the job with a crit, electavire comes out and hits us with a 30 hp thunder strike. and he paralyzes us but our cherry activates and we hit him with a zen headbutt but no ko and his citrus berry activates.
I'm forced to change here, so I enter hot head which is jolted by a crash of thunder before we can take it. him with a fire punch, Raichu is the next to send him and we actually outspeed him with a fire punch, but we get paralyzed by his static ability, then we get hit hard by a focus blast and Raichu is barely alive, but it will surpass us in speed now that I am paralyzed, so I enter Hercules. Bulkner uses full restoration and after getting hit, I go to break bricks, which does the job, but Hercules also freezes, not good.
Vulchner's ace comes out next. Lux Rey and I have nothing to trade with, so they hit me. by fire fang, but fortunately we overcame the paralysis with a single hit in close combat, it was a complicated battle, but we achieved our eighth gym badge. The path of victory is good, the path of victory and we made it to the Pokémon league. I decide to prepare now by giving our team a lot of upgrades like tms like earthquake in infernape grass, not in meta jam and items like wise glasses for lucario's special moves, wide lens if we need it for heracross, etc. and also leveling up around the level. cap, who is Lucian's level 59 ace as he tries to max out EVs where we can, oh and before the elite four there is another rival battle, but he climbed way below the elite four and since we are all prepared , this is a pretty easy battle, sorry, Barry, probably.
Really demotivating. One good thing about cino elite 4 is that its levels range between 49 and 59, which means that being close to the level cap we have a bit of an advantage over previous trainers, but I definitely won't count my chickens before they hatch first. in elite four it's aaron the bug type specialist for aaron, i actually brought furniture with relatively low health using the water pokemon outside so we could activate its fire ability with a third health to boost its fire moves in a sense , it's risky. I played around, but I did all my calculations and it should work.
Aaron starts off with Mega Yan, who was able to outspeed and punch Ko with a flame-powered fire punch. Well, now the only threat on Aaron's team is draping him, but he had gotten it. the earthquake came out of the wayward cave and I showed it to the hot head literally right when I pressed move, I thought oh wait, I forgot to put the soft sand object on it as planned, oh my god, because drapion lives in a sliver in the red one, his citrus activates and hits us with a super effective aerial lace, but we survive with 4 hp, oh my god I thought it was gg, I would have been kicking myself for the rest of my life for that, I literally forgot to attach the item crucial.
That made the calculations work in the first place. Oh, we can take him out and then Heracross and Vespaquin do clean sweeps with a flame-powered fire punch, but then his scissors comes out and I'm sure we can't take a quick priority attack. Now I'm forced to switch to Lucario, who is able to get the job done with a couple of auraspheres. Next is Bertha, who scares me a lot. Ground is a dangerous type for us, since both Infernape and Lucario are weak. and her coverage is pretty good too, she sends wiscash first and I go for meta cham knowing that whiskash isn't that heavy, I go for a zen headbutt instead of grasnot which actually gets a crit on the first turn to remove it I mean to the shudder.
It would have had the same effect, so I don't feel too bad about the fact that Glyscor comes out next and outspeeds us with an earthquake, but a four-times-effective ice blast does the job. Next comes Hepaud and I was hoping there would be Golem or Riperia here for the four times effective Grass Knot, but I think because Hippodon has crunch she sent it first since it's recorded as super effective against psykers in the programming because we got the reviewer at whiskeyash, we're doing better than I expected, so I'm holding on to the gains. and we go for grasnaut anyway, hippowdon survives below half and hits us hard with a 13hp earthquake and the sandstorm takes us to four that were nearby.
I'm forced to switch to her here, who is hit by a crunch, then we could get the job done. with a melee I had to use since that thing's defense is very high, of course we get defense drops after every melee so I desperately hope we can take out the next two as well since we have the Fist Plate on the Heracross golem actually drops and thankfully Ryperior does as well. Hercules is a beast. What can I say? Next up is Flint, the elite member of four fire types. His typing is also super effective against two of our Pokémon Heracross and Lucario, and since he leads. with hound doom I decide to continue with infernape since infernae persists most of its stabbing moves.
I hope to be able to attack with earthquake as much as possible, yes, with the soft sand element really attached this time and switching to meta jam if necessary. Let's see how it hits like an absolute infernal truck, capable of crushing each of Flint's Pokémon with an earthquake powered by soft sand. What an absolute legend for Flint. It's not like we have a powerful new Pokémon that I've never seen before and it's on its knees in awe of its power, it literally has the same Pokémon, it just sucks, it's time for the last member of the elite four and the one I fear the most, Lucian, not only do his levels align more closely with ours, but he's also an Elite 4 Psychic Member who is super effective against fighting, obviously, and very difficult for us to deal damage.
I studied his gear for a long time and came up with what I thought would be the best strategy leading with lucario with the wide lens and shadow. The ball he carries with Inferni to start is tempting, but Shadowclaw wouldn't kill Espeon unless it was a crit and which one would hit Ko with psychic, so I can't risk that after using our last rare candy on Lucario, I did the calculations and It was arranged to kill the mine lord, however I thought he would try to use psychic to eliminate us or set up a light screen, perhaps since Lucario's special attack is greater than his physical attack, we not only get a low roll in the ballshadow and survive. but he also uses reflect instead and I can't understand why lucario's special attack is his highest stat and we all have special attack moves why god why does this completely ruin my plan.
I'm with lucario and going for shadowball after its full restoration and i. Like, hey, at least that stops, reflects for a bit after which we can delete it. This is where my strategy falls apart. I know he'll send Glade next for the drain hit, at which point I can send profit, but profit won. I don't survive a drain hit followed by a psycho slash, for example, and we can't miss it. After five minutes of thinking, I decide I have to stay inside and stop the reflex, there's no other option but to wait for a Zen headbutt to come. shudder according to my sofa.
There's also about a 40 chance we'll survive a drain hit, so I pick a shadow ball with cobalt, it does good damage, he goes for a drain hit and gets a high roll to take us out. Oh, if we had survived, it would have been perfect. but no, knowing that the reflection must go down, I send Infernape as bait for hopefully the stone edge and he really tries it when I go back to meta-cham, who holds it well and the reflection finally falls, it's time for a mine plate. Boosted Raw Power Stab Zen Headbutt does the job as it is neutral on Glade.
Next is Espeon who uses Shadowball. We survived with 15 hp and when we return it only turns it red. I'm forced to switch to Infernape here and Espeon goes for a quick attack. He was expecting another shadow ball and Shadow Claw pulls it out. Alakazam comes next and luckily we outspeed him and take him out with Shadow Claw. Bronzong comes out at the end and luckily Lucians levitates, he is not heat resistant so we can hit him with a fire punch towards red. he simply seeks the calm mind, followed by a full restoration and two more fire strikes, he does the job.
Cobalt was a very unfortunate loss, but it's time to try to face the champion. Cynthia. Cynthia's team is obviously terrifying and, like Lucian, I spent a lot of time. While thinking about how we should approach this now that there are only three Pokémon left, I determined that my best option was to lead with her through the wide lens due to her high power and low precision moves like megahorn and stone edge, since he is the only one who can do anything. spiritual damage at all and I'm just trying to do as much damage as possible since I imagine she'll send togekiss for the four times effective flying move if we can get through the megahorn, but it's hardly chaos for the thinking spirits and us.
If psychic Cynthia hits me hard, she then uses a full restore and we can take him out with two more hits. She actually blows a kiss together and my only option is to opt for Stone Edge and thank God for our fast Vs and wide lens. we outspeed and hit him about a quarter to the left and then he kills us with an aerial slash. It was definitely a necessary sacrifice. We love you, Hercules. Now here, I could send Infernape or Medicham, but I knew if I got in the back of my head and killed. togekiss would probably just take out milotic and that wouldn't be a good metacham, on the other hand she wouldn't switch to rosarite or lucario since they are both weak so it would be milotic or garchomp that we would take out. they kiss with an ice punch and he decides to send his lucario, oh why I realized it was because he doesn't actually have a steel move, he has a shadow ball and he sends it on that basis even though he is weak to fight , that's not it.
Well, in retrospect, I could have possibly sent an Infernape here, but the shadow ball and then the extreme speed would do a lot of damage and the Infernape is not guaranteed to deal with a fire hit, even regardless of Lucario outspeeding us and she hits us with a shadow ball that deals massive damage and then she gets the defense special she drops our broken brick and then she takes it out and I'm terrified of what's to come and she actually sends garchomp well that's all the earthquake ko, our two remaining Pokémon wait a minute, she went for the dragon attack and missed what the fuck Why would she do that?
I actually screamed when this happened. She opted for a 75 precision move that has the same type power and effectiveness as another 100 precision move and they both got stabbed. I don't understand that Dragon Rush has worse accuracy than stone. edge is the newly set programming so that she would perform any move of equal power that was in a previous move slot, regardless of accuracy, oh my god, we took it out in one hit with an ice strike never boosted with multiple miles, she comes out and we go for a zen headbutt which actually does three quarters of damage after which she doesn't flinch and takes us out with waves, enters hell and my lord melee takes out Milotic, then her rosary is a ko with punch of fire, that's all, no one can disrespect him.
The name Meta Cham was never a damn miracle again. We did it. Platinum hard
