a complete tour of the ultimate dream garage garage giveaway announcement...

We'll probably have another big, long recap video. I'll check it out too. There will be another video where I go over all the details of what this costs if you want. to replicate something similar in your home anyway thanks for being a part. I hope you enter the next giveaway and I wanted to let you know that I decided to do so. It will arrive next month. Well, welcome to Chesapeake, Virginia, where I am. We will take you through this garage that we designed and built from scratch. Emanuel and his family won the garage giveaway last Christmas and we finished it here today in early November 2020.
a complete tour of the ultimate dream garage garage giveaway announcement
This is a 3000 square foot house and in the state of Virginia I have had some cold days and some warm days but I want explain the setup and everything we did from start to finish. I'm going to walk you through the floor, the lights, the cabinets, the tools, every bit and piece. that we put in this place, including the exits that we put in the walls, but we're going to walk you through this and every step of the process to overcome this result of the last 40 years of healing things that I think is pretty

complete

for what I think which is probably one of the best, if not the best, two car garage in the world, so let's check it out.
a complete tour of the ultimate dream garage garage giveaway announcement
The first thing we choose is the floor. The floor is one of those, for some reason, really polarizing topics. It is a Swiss track floor, the reason I use this floor in your garage is that it is three quarters of an inch thick so the dirt goes away. It's a bit contradictory, it goes against what you would think. Well, shoot, what am I going to do with all of it? dust, dirt and sand, uh, it's got really fine grass, like a golf course, when we mowed it when we got here, it didn't have any floors underneath, all that fine little grass would fly all the way to the back of the garage, the magic of having three quarters. inch thick interlocking plastic tiles is that all of that stuff just sits under the floor and you can choose to vacuum it up whenever you want and all you would do is take a shop vac and vacuum it up or take your leaf blower and blow it out, but The magic of this especially silver color is that it always looks clean.
You can see we transitioned there pretty nice and neat at the threshold from the driveway to the garage. We focus this. The concept here was that the center black tiles would tell you how to align the car so you can get on the elevator, uh, but we have approximately, I don't know how much this costs, eighteen hundred dollars worth of flooring to fill the space, we have approximately 400 square feet, the garage is 21 a foot and a half deep, 21 feet wide and the colors we chose were pearl silver and then black to match the theme, the next thing we had to choose was paint and I'm pretty adamant about this.
I'm not going to wash your walls, so give up on that

dream

. The paint we are using here is Sherwin-Williams Flat, so stick with Flat paint. The magic of Flat paint is that when I mark it, yes, it marks much faster and much easier, but when I mark the walls I either touch them or make the walls dirty. I can just take a brush and touch it up and I don't have a difference in the shine and that's the beauty of matte paint, plus it helps with the details. with highlights I just think it's a better way, it has a better look, it looks cleaner, uh, and I'm telling you, no matter what the guy at the paint store says, you're not going to wash your walls.
I've never seen anyone wash. the walls of my life so you're always going to touch them up with a brush so harbor gray ac25 is the color code it's a benjamin moore sherwin williams color and almost any paint supplier can match the color for you but that's what on all the walls, including the stem wall, one of the things Mike and I were talking about, we ran out of time to do some trim and crown molding, but we painted, we painted on the stem wall stem and then roof and this was Emanuel and Kyle's idea, which I was pretty against, but I think it turned out pretty well, so this is a black tricorn which is a sherwin-williams color.
We had three coats of what I didn't realize was sherwin. williams exterior paint and we're getting shine, it was driving me crazy the shine that you could see, you could see the roller marks, uh, and once I realized we were using exterior paint, exterior paint always has a little bit Extra shine, even on flat surfaces. I went and bought three gallons of tricorn flat black interior and we rolled it up where Mike and I rolled a heavy coat and then Kyle came and rolled it all back and we got a really great result, I don't know. that we could have done better even if we had sprayed it, obviously using a professional sprayer would probably be the best way to do it, but I think it's a pretty good idea, there's no real technical reason why we did black, which just looks cool, you know? makes the ceiling disappear, if you want, in a world of perfect details you would probably put black on the walls too, but we didn't want to reduce the size of the room, so there is no technical reason other than I think it's amazing to light these are the original fixtures, these are technically designed for a high rise warehouse, that's what they are for, we are using them in a 2 car garage with a nine foot ceiling, I suggest you use 4 bulb fixtures when you are within 10 feet or less than 6 bulbs.
The fixtures are a little bit more intense and then you want to disperse as many fixtures as you can as symmetrically as possible, so you can't see it here, but we have two fixtures under the garage door that are really important when you close. the door and the car are on the lift and you are detailing the entire perimeter of the vehicle, the front and back are evenly lit and there are not many shadows, the color temperature is 5000k, these are single led bulbs side, each one quite efficient. The lamp is about 7 10 of an amp versus a T8 type fluorescent lamp, you know, it would be probably two, two and a half times, but I guess if you did a lighting calculation, probably a hundred and fifteen. one hundred and twenty feet lambdas of uh of light are foot lamps or candles one or the other many feet many feet of light let's call it that so the lighting is pretty simple uh we had a single fixture here you can see our blank panel, so Mike had to cut one, two, three, four, a whole strip, uh, so you can't see it.
Mike is a wizard with drywall, so we had to cut. There is a room above so many different locations to be able to connect the cable. where there had to be the igniter for the lights on a single switch here where you would come, these are not dimmable, but you can see a little difference, the camera is probably adjusting a little bit, but it's quite the difference between having a single light fixture yellow 3000k to 5000 Kelvin, very, very white light, so cabinets. I have been chasing cabinets for forever and the problem with cabinets is that they get extremely expensive and these are about as expensive as they come.
These are Sonic MSS and they are also made. To be honest, in Taiwan they don't really care where they are made. The fit and finish on these are on par with anything else. I think the best cabinets in the world are these Moduline Rousseau lists. These are some of the best cabinets available. The beauty of these, these are really designed so you know they are designed for BMW dealerships in Porsche and places that have a real professional need, but they fit the finish, how the corners, how they bolt on, how they are designed, how they are.
Its design is unlike any other cabinet I have ever seen and I have seen almost all of them out there so this set here is not

complete

we are waiting for some improvements you know the pandemic has caused quite a bit of a supply chain. problems all over the world we wanted to come here and finish this garage emanuel will be able to just put some screws in to hang the top when they arrive in january and february they should be here soon but the concept here was to use as much space as possible now technically It's a two-car garage that's 21 feet wide, but Emanuel said, look, I'd rather have a nice car that can park here and have room to work, so we've turned it into a one-car setup and so, traditionally I would make cabinets along the back wall and I want it to be as symmetrical as possible, but because the door takes us off the trunk wall, it also doesn't give us as much room to work on the back wall. uh Kyle and Emmanuel thought we should configure the cabinet set on one of the two sides and obviously the left side made the most sense because we had the flatter and longer wall and as you can see we have about a sixteenth of an inch. of excess space between our switch panel and our set of cabinets, the concept here was that we would have an 890, a 720, an 890 millimeter, and a 720 again.
The supply chain issue dictated that we couldn't get a 720 for many months and that's how it worked. Let's see where we end up rolling, these are 700 millimeter Kyle cars that magically allow us to roll around the garage and store our tools when needed, so if I wanted to move it, there are back stops, there's side molding here to do. Sure you can't really screw it up, you slide it in, lock the feet and I have a permanent locked solution that is also portable, a pretty good idea of where I can move them, put them where I need them and then reattach them. in the location, I think depending on what you're doing, if it were me I'd probably leave them in the back, one of the things you'll also notice if you take a look at the feet, there's about two and a half of almost three inch drop from the back corner to the x of the garage, I mean the garages are sloped and you'll see we've had to level the feet from the extreme corner cabinet, being basically flat all the way to the cabinet on the end here. considering two and a quarter and two and a half inches of height was added to achieve a vertical configuration, so the only downside to doing that is, as you can see here, our rolling cabinets have a slight tilt.
I don't think you would realize unless I told you, but it was something you had to consider, so across the room, Kyle came up with the idea of why couldn't we create a little sanctuary for the washing machine instead? pressure and put in a sink and then, install a cabinet for microfiber towels and some interior cleaners and things like that, and so on again, because we kind of turned this into a large car and we chose to do it, there was already plumbing here, You know, the typical Home Depot. plastic sink uh let's make a mss plus sink uh and we were all really surprised, this is the first cabinet we opened and we are very pleased with the result, what this cabinet looks like, it's about 12 inches deep, t304 stainless steel.
The steel has a T304 stainless steel drain with a uh with um, I guess like a sediment filter, it even has a even it says sus304 on the drain plug and it also has this type of cleaning, um, I guess for us, for the people who do polishing and things like that. You could leave your pads here to dry underneath. I found this. This was actually one of the least expensive faucets at Home Depot, but it was the best match and has no plastic, which is why the stainless steel piece is so complete. matches the setup here we had to modify this cabinet uh Mike cut this out and he had to cut the shelves so we could put both shelves in here but you can see how functional this is and then again really the fit and finish This is pretty surprising, we'll talk about the pressure washer in a minute, but this is a890 millimeter sink and then this is a 720 millimeter sink and then a large 650 millimeter wide cabinet that we filled with microfiber towels. we'll talk about that in a minute, so the cabinet is set up, lockable, everything super clean, super organized, extremely durable satin black finish, I don't think it's important, what caliber I don't even know what they are. 18 gauge or something, the gauge of the cabinet doesn't really matter.
I know that's the only point of purchase people have because it's hard to find garage cabinets, but I'm telling you, these cabinets are if not the best. They are pretty similar and I think they look amazing. They only come in black. It's the only finish we can get here in the US, but man, pretty. An amazing set of cabinets to store our tools, our towels, and all our bits, so let's talk tools. Tools are another of those controversial topics. Sonic creates an ecosystem that attracts me like very few things here. planet, you have a fit and finish that is almost incomparable, the cabinets of it are extremely nice, but what really sold me on Sonic was the complete package of it, uh, and I'm generally a curator.
I like to find things, you'll see some. Of the other products here where I am tearing the product apart and putting my own stuff together, pulling from different brands and selecting with these, their foam inlays are world class, I don't think there is another inlay that is as well designed and clean that it is organized the same way Sonic has done, the only problem is that Sonic has hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of different foam inlay setups and they don't have a single set of tools, so what we've done here is obsessed with the garage. I sat down, cut out the catalog of the hundreds and hundreds of different foam inlays, laid them out on a table, and figured out how I can get the most complete tool kit.
It's 250 tools, 1250 is about 15. Great to get one of almost everything they make I think they have, if you include the one inch tools they have about 2200 tools total, but this is a very very complete set of tools that we installed in the cabinets of various sizes, uh in the sonic array we had to make some adjustments for my normal set, but because of our rolling cabinets, but this is an almost complete set, I'll explain it to you, I think we said we have 16 drawers full of tools, keys and you. You'll notice these are extra deep, you know, they're 26 inches deep, this is a drawer or what they call a big drawer instead of a big drawer xd like the one above, more wrenches, some allen wrenches, we've got our pliers and cutters and the sonic version of vice grips and then some of these deeper drawers, we don't put much in my one of my next steps is to figure out how to integrate some other organization solutions like the tool rack, but these deep drawers are also extremely useful, where can you?
Tons of things fit. I'll show you some of the polishing cabinets that we put inside these and they also allow us to make power blocks. We chose not to do this because when we make the tops, each top will have its own integration. power bar for power so you'll notice this is what they call a medium sized drawer where you can put three of their little inlays to set up a full drawer or you can buy medium here are our impact tools you can see it goes on Damn , almost forever, hammers and center punches, some more electric type screwdrivers, what do they call those things, screwdrivers with video on video so you don't kill yourself when you insert it into an outlet, a drawer of miscellaneous tools, we have a kit of oil change, some right angle wrenches. and then we place our three quarters.
It's not necessary to put a three-quarter in a deep drawer, but we added an extra set of tools that we needed to fit inside the deep door. These are my favorite long handled torx screwdrivers. 3 8 drive look at this damn sick the new black version the new 25 tooth version of the sonic ratchets that I love here is the old version of the old half inch handle that includes a torque wrench from 80 to 400 Newton meters and then what We did was put some of our scan grip tools in, the scan grip material will go on the top to plug in, plug in and charge, we put our polishing material here, polishing pads and then our polishers here on the bottom, neat and organized and then the latest quarter inch cabinet this is incredibly cool sae quarter 3 8 and a half sae wrenches t handles more t handles and then a lot of square drive safety torque all that kind of stuff and I think we have a vacuum oh no we have We had to buy our o ring kit and some pry tools and then also a brake kit so the other great thing about setting up these cabinets and it will be really fantastic when you have electrical configuration, cabinets have cable routing behind.
For them, these wire tubes are what hold everything together, so the wire tubes in the mss plus line are all hollowed out so they can work and they will have all the cabinets with grommets on the back of them. low so you can put a power brick in there and not have to worry about wiring and routing, as I mentioned above each cabinet has a lock that you can master if you want and then also set up the whole lighting combination. I doubt we'll ever lock them. Here's our Milwaukee crate with my water bottle to help me because I'm dying.
I think we work too much. I am allergic to manual work. I sent my Emanuel a fairly extensive variety. from milwaukee tools even though we weren't a milwaukee dealer yet, i thought since he won the garage giveaway and it was only two cars, uh, we could do mss plus and we could do noosebomb and we could do milwaukee since he didn't did. I have a big four car garage that was going to cost me twice as much, but these are our blocks, our phone blocks to put under the car to lift it up and then like I said, I don't know how much money I spent on all of this. milwaukee stuff, but it wasn't cheap, a lot of really cool stuff and then this cabinet here is huge so this is a 965. uh we don't have anything here so that's a good sign it's a good sign that it's I'm going to have a lot of tops and, uh, so I'll have room to put ego blowers, some gym equipment, you know, whatever he needs, I told him he shouldn't put anything in here until I leave, but probably I filled it with a lot of stuff after we did.
After we leave you'll have room for the manuals and I'm sure you'll be able to find some interesting things to put in there, maybe you could keep your circular brushes in there if that's something you'd be interested in, so we thought from a user's perspective. flow, all of our laundry would be on this side of the room, so I have interior cleaning supplies that didn't fit on the shelves and then our 10 different types of towels and I set them up with two sets, which is what I have in my closet at home two sets or 20 of each towel because I don't like having to go wash them when I need them I want to wash them when I feel like washing them and sometimes some of these towels, like window towels and drying towels, I'll use, you know , 15 or 16 of them before we wash them next time, so this is a shelf one, two, three, four, five, which gives us a sixth shelf so we have a lot of storage space and these.
Is this fixed? The top one is fixed on all of these and then they're all adjustable and then like I said on the sink before, this is where we'll store our wash pads, we'll probably store hand soaps and things like that, and we have three. shelves that are adjustable that we cut to fit around the mark, you may have to modify them to fit around the sink that's in this, so we made shelves in the room, uh and uh, this was Kyle's idea, actually there's a chimney behind here so we couldn't cut this wall or do anything, nothing specific other than maybe mount them to the studs, but these are t304 stainless steel eight inches deep by 36 inches or 32 inches and 36 inches wide with the idea that you could display all your detailing supplies.
One of the next evolutionary steps I hope to achieve is that I don't love having all these different bottles, but I do love having all these different curated products. These are all products that have been a Um, you know, it's kind of a life mission for me to figure out what's a good process for washing your car. Note that there is not one brand, there are a lot of different brands for each part of the process and therefore the reason we are selecting. I mean, I think there is maybe the company that makes glass cleaner, there is a company that makes the best glass cleaner that may not be a good wheel cleaner, so we are selecting products from all over the world.
To create a process and so we have wheels, interior decontamination polishing, it made sense to me to put our foam cannon in our car shampoo and then our drying aid on the shelf above the sink. The manual can play with that, but these are 10 inches. deep shelves 24 inches wide by 10 inches deep and the concept here is that I would love to have matching bottles so we are hoping to achieve that next year so we can have matching bottles on our shelves and of course we will get a convinced manual to buy those things and set them up in this garage where everything can match, but for now I think it looks great combining the stainless steel sink and the stainless steel countertops, then here in the corner is the or a pressure washing solution custom installation, the same type of shelf that matches this is an 8 inch deep by 18 inch wide shelf, but the same t304 stainless steel mic actually cut through this wall as it did most of the walls of this garage, cut it out, blocked it out, had a dedicated 20 amp circuit outlet to the krenzla and then of course framed it and mounted it.
One of the unique things about this is that instead of having to cut into the wall and try to cut some of the main lines, you can see that we ran our prevost pipe from under the sink here, put a 90-inch faucet on the line cold water from the sink to give us water, the other thing that's a little bit different than normal instead of cutting a hose bib here and dealing with all these, all these water lines running, we installed our

ultimate

hose obsessed garage, our bucket filling solution is hidden in the corner, our buckets fit very well there and we have the option to change.
This is Kyle's designer's idea, or you can do it yourself. tap water or you can go through the cr and fill your bucket with deionized water if you're doing something like a waterless wash or something like that 100 foot hose and then the krensley k1322 which is the original spec version of the washer under pressure. it does 2.1 gallons per minute at about 1000 psi rated at 1300 but it gives us about a thousand psi and I think having it hidden in this little cave here really doesn't get any better than that stock spec gun wand and then we get you the disconnect solution quick og spec for your funnel or for your foam cannon and the only thing you don't have yet is that we also have to get you the funnel that just came out.
I also have a shaker lid. I lift the bottle, but the concept here is that I can switch between short and long gun to clean my wheels. You could wash them here. I'm sure there's no drain in this garage, but I think you'll be washing outside most of the time. but the wand bent 20 degrees and then sheathed in the T304 stainless steel masmatic wand holder is quite sick. I guess this doesn't get much better than that, every time Mike and I make one of these there is an upgrade to new stainless steel. The last one we did we had a new stainless steel fitting and then we had the blue hose, now we have black and we also have gray hose reels that we stock regularly, I think the black concept and then we tried the gray prevost pipe for the first time, which technically is it used for uh what is the vacuum hose for?
Yes, instead of the air hose. This is actually an air line that we are using for the water and it works pretty well, so the garage door is the same. We do not modify it. The house came with quite nice insulation. On the door you can see the foam or styrofoam insulation, but one thing I did have is a pretty basic center mount garage door opener, so one of the things we wanted to do I called Mike and said, Hey Mike. , can we do a jack jack, can you do that? Hell yes, I can do it.
I thought, "Well, sweet, let's get oneof those too." the 8500 because it's black, I'm lying, we just bought the 8500 and it turned out to be black, but it matches the rest of the theme in the garage, we had to run a new line that sat tediously hidden between the wall of the stem and the drywall with a little bit flat, we have a new garage door opener panel and then it's all Wi-Fi enabled, you can close the door The other thing that's good about this shaft version. cat is it has a pretty sturdy lock that locks automatically once the garage gets uh closed uh and then you know, we run the new mines for micro on the new lines for um for the sensors uh, so this here the advantage is. again especially for the elevator it opens the roof so that way I don't have the rope from the garage or in the way so the air compressor I don't think we had this when we did the draw yeah actually just we had Jenny compressors, but I think we still offer Jenny compressors.
I discovered some of the best piston compressors on the planet this week last year at Sema. We've taken the badges off, that's the theme you'll see here, as all the badges that we could take off have been taken off, but This is about a 13 cfm rotary screw compressor that can run in a consumer garage like this, a garage It's normal that you won't be using compressed air all the time. One of the beauties of a rotary screw compressor is that it is extremely quiet, this one is rated at 59 db at 10 feet so it is extremely quiet, extremely efficient, we have an 80 gallon tank and one of the problems with This style of compressor, a rotary screw, is that if a rotary screw is not operated frequently.
You'll usually get water into the oil and you'll usually get oxidation in the head and you'll have big problems down the line. Well, this has an oil heater that allows you to cycle it when you need to. so it can work extremely well in a consumer garage like this, we don't need covers, we don't need any soundproofing, we don't need to try to put it in another room. somewhere else like an attic, so I can run this compressor, have a conversation two feet from it and, uh, and still deliver it, you know, let's say 15 cfm at 90 psi, which is more than we're going to need to run anything on this. an application like this, so to keep this simple, I actually did this at my headquarters, it has its own regulator, I don't think we need any significant filtering for what we're doing in a garage like this, uh, we didn't either. set up any type of time drain, I showed a manual that, as you know, once every six months they come and drain the tank into a cup and the amount of use that this is going to get, I don't think we need anything fancy like that, but we just put a quick disconnect on a very super flexible t316 stainless steel line and then we put it on a double manifold here, so this manifold will allow us to connect a loose hose if we ever want to and then we have I decided to use the empty, the gray line and then instead of trying to cut, we could cut it and run it very easily through the wall.
I wanted to see what gives it that cool pseudo-industrial look, but this pipe is so amazing. It looks great, very different than any other pipe on the market from a quality perspective, especially their fittings, one of the things we did here instead of shipping 20 foot lengths since it's just a 20 foot garage, the joints are actually very clean and nice. that I don't think there's any problem running a couple of unions, so we've sent, you know, six foot pipes, that's how we send them to people. If you're doing a huge garage, you can pay five or six hundred dollars. in shipping to have your 20 foot lengths, but think about shipping a 20 foot length, it only costs 45 dollars per length to spend, you know 500 shipping doesn't make much sense so we cut it up and ship it in six foot lengths . and you can see Mike set up the ci clamps, so these are prevost specific clamps.
They use some drywall ankle anchors and some toggle bolts to set them up, but it's an extremely clean install. We thought a lot about the possibility of running. the line down the middle and then out and then down the middle to keep symmetry, but I wanted it to be on top of the cabinets. I think it turned out great. The garage is still symmetrically heavy to the left because that's where the main set of cabinets is. so I agreed to finish the tubing and then make these little flexible hoses that go on our Cox hose reels.
A couple of things that are important to note about this again. This is black. I specially ordered them, we have them in stock in this very specific color. normally they only come in blue, we've taken the badge off them, but this is what's called easy coil and so the way we set them up, the way the springs are designed, is so the hose doesn't move around the room, it's extremely easy to use and cost a lot. there's more to do, but it's a much better system and then we feed our coils with air, which will be hot all the time.
We will let air enter at all times. These again are easy coils and this is one of those things that I told you I just don't accept. I generally don't buy off the shelf stuff. First I wanted a stronger spring. The spring that comes with the easy spool reels did not work with most aftermarket hoses. Second, I didn't do it. like any of the cox hose options it's actually prevost nitrile rubber yes it's green green isn't really the color my shoes match it but this is by far the best hose I've found on the planet. I found anything to replicate it, even the mainland county tech hoses that they just don't like that much, so it's nitrile rubber, if you ran it across the floor and got some transmission fluid or brake fluid or something like that , it would not explode compared to an EPDM rubber type hose would not be as durable.
Clearly, we don't need a paint grade or paint booth grade hose for this garage, but why not? And of course there are matching flexible hoses and they happen to be green. The other thing that these have is something quite notable is these Prevost uh s1 fluid couplers and then we specified them in euro high flow so the inlet is much larger and less parasitic, but the magic of these types of fittings is not only completely smooth whether you're doing anything. polishing or any work around the car but they are dual release whereas normally you know like if the hoses go across the room you would have to push down to get it to release or this is a dual type release does it a lot more. ergonomic, it's just a better way to operate and you can see how smooth these hundred dollar couplers are, but I think it's worth every penny, so that's our hose reel setup.
The microphone also had to cut this wall again, you know, float the drywall and uh, mud and uh, these two uh, this also has a stainless steel swivel, which is an original option, so the spring specification and the hose assembly and stainless steel swivel are very different. I know they are more expensive than what you see online, but considerably different. than you would find out there because we're specifying it the way we want so there's a block on the wall here that we had to cut the wall and put the block on and you know we used it you know what I talked about before you know that This is 40 years of my life, but what you're seeing, all the details that you're not seeing in this video, if you go back and look at the other things you're seeing, I'm guessing Mike is 10 years older than me, I hold it against him. from them.
We're looking at 50 years of pure obsession Mike is one of the few people who can do all the trades, he can do electrical, he can do drywall, he can do framing, he can do plumbing, and without him, this doesn't happen, so y'all the new details. that you're not seeing in this video, I recommend you look at all the other things, so show them now. I'm a bit of an audio and video snob. I know these are the clips. You can buy them at best. Buy this is. an LCD TV um, I've done plasma, I've done OLED in garages and unfortunately the glare just becomes unwatchable or unusable uh, also this is not a critical listening environment, it's not a critical viewing environment either, I mainly wanted it here for symmetry. because it looks great, this is a thousand dollar Sony, x 900 h, and then a 600 clip cinema, a sound bar.
The hardest part of the setup was mounting the damn soundbar so nothing could be seen. Mike has to cut boxes, comes back and watches us argue about whether he needed a decorative plate or not. He won, I lost, but even behind the TV, all the decorative pieces, all the details are exactly. We treated this mic and I changed it like it was our garage, and maybe even a little better than our garage, but this 65 inch screen is a smart TV, so you know you're going to watch Netflix, Hulu, YouTube TV and any other thing you want to see.
Here it will play through the sound bar and wireless subwoofers, which are here near the stainless steel shelves, but the setup is pretty simple. Not a big fan of the LCD screen, but you know it's better technology for a garage like this, so switch it up. The tracks are super simple if you don't have anything like a step and you don't have to do any fabrication, you just lay down the floor and cut the edges. You can use a circular saw, table saw, tile cutter. a carpet tile cutter, you could pretty much use any jigsaw if you wanted to, but when you have something like a step and you don't want to just leave it, this one had just an old piece of regular pine that even if it was painted it would get dirty. of it and then I asked Mike what you could do here and he said well what we can do is get a 90 and um and then we can just add some wood screws and what he did was space it out Using some plywood to give us kind of a flat level 90 because the threshold or sorry, the tread was sticking out and as you can see here, we decided to just paint the splash guard here and probably just give it a hand touch.
That's done once a year or so, but I think it turned out really cool, where we have a nice smooth transition with the changing tracks again. You will never see dirt here, no matter how dirty it is, imagine you have to have three. a quarter inch thick of dirt, which would be a wheelbarrow full of dirt so you can see it and you can vacuum it up or blow it off whenever you want, but I thought I'd mention that because I thought it was cool, so I picked this up. It's the first time, but in 2016 I went to sema for the first time.
I wanted to find an elevator, I walked by this booth and found this company that I immediately fell in love with. It's a company called noosebaum and they are now out of Germany. I have a production facility in North Carolina and when we decided to do this garage, I knew this would be the first version of Lyft that we did or this elevator that we made. We knew we were limited with nine foot ceilings. I knew I wanted a scissor lift I knew we couldn't cut the floor it's just not practical for this application so we wanted to find a way to get new spawns, become rope bomb dealers, be able to offer the medium height. which is this lift and then we will offer the full lift which will be a series at oghq where we install the full lift lift, this one reaches up to 40 inches high.
We have our control box here. Now remember we had to get hydraulic lines over here and So if you go back and look at the series, how we thought about how to do this, we actually have that last piece arriving tomorrow morning. Mike and I are taking a flight tomorrow, not today because we are waiting for a new channel. I'll show you that in a second, but the new generation control units here are 240 volts, so we put in a 20 amp 240 volt connection and then we got lucky and the stainless steel matches all the other stainless steel we got and that we had. custom paint and custom ramps that will also be available through obsessed garage but we wanted to get closer to the ramps so we could fit lower cars on this but this hydraulic lift takes about 20 seconds to reach full height and has galvanized tread wear tread on top, which I think fits the theme and we can custom paint it in any color you want.
This one costs around four thousand dollars and has acapacity of seven thousand pounds. It also has the ability to extend car ramps like a BMW M5. or like the x5 that has a manual uh and then of course the on ramps are designed for lowered cars for m3s and 911s and vipers and any cars that are lowered so that way you can put a block under the welds of pinch or under the jack point and be able to get the car comfortably onto the lift, the other good thing about the way the setup for this location, 98 of the time, is going to be just parking on it, so having the ramps It makes the transition much smoother, cutting the foundation of the house or cutting the concrete is obviously preferred and we have templates to do that, but this lift is not really designed for that.
It is designed to be a semi-portable lift. It's called the Sprinter 7 and once again, you know it. It normally comes in blue, but we painted it custom black and left the pieces galvanized. We can also paint it any color you want, but I think it turned out extremely well, you know, it's about double the cost of a lot of the Chinese ones. lists made, but this is kind of an engineering marvel built in Germany, it's really incredible compared to some of the other quality products that you see out there, so it's six days of an average of 12 hours a day during five. from us thanks to mike mike bryce and kyle we all put in the time thanks to um emmanuel for buying things in our store that's how this garage won i bought some things and we'll probably do another one of these garage giveaways I'll talk to Bryson soon to let me do this on December 15th, to do another giveaway where basically what happens is we sell some merchandise, some cool stuff in the Obsessed Garage store on upsgarage.com and we hope people buy it to help me fund projects like this, but I don't know Tell me in the comments, I think this turned out pretty amazing and I'm really proud of it, like I said, this is, there's a lot of blood, sweat, tears, thinking and hopes and

dream

s all in one place and I hope you enjoy this, it's really great so anyway, thanks for your support, thanks for watching, make sure to check out the other parts of the series if you're just watching this. hours and hours of footage, six different episodes and I'll probably do a seventh or eighth episode.
I guess you can say look at all the costs of what it would cost if you're going to do something like this, but I think we can. Say if not the best, certainly one of the best two car garages, normal, this is a 3000 square foot house in Chesapeake, Virginia, one of the nicest, best built, most attention to detail two car garages detail of the planet. thanks for watching, as always stay tuned for more crazy stuff, this is the start of I think a lot of workshops we'll get into in the future, as we find more products we'll make sure you know about them and when we're doing these giveaways I hope you continue participating, thanks for watching, see you soon.
