If you give them a bao, then they become your bao bae. ♪ (I procrastinate everything) ♪ ♪ (Worry about stupid things) ♪ ♪ (When is it my turn) ♪ ♪ (start living?) ♪ ♪ (Because I remember growing up) ♪ ♪ (we rode our bikes all over the city ) ♪ ♪ (Spend all our money on) ♪ ♪ (candy bars) ♪ Good morning. My last day here in Hong Kong and it was a very fun week, exploring the city... I haven't been here in many years... I have to come back sooner. This morning I'm feeling a little lazy. I feel like lazing around in the hotel room. So let's go check out the local 7-Eleven.

on the menu. and they had plenty available. Everything was... they prepared it about an hour ago. Let's see what else is good. Oh. Yungzhou Chow Faan - I love this. Beef tendon over rice. This is very Hong Kong: chicken feet, ribs, rice. Another popular dish: Singapore fried rice noodles. Egg sandwiches definitely won't compete with Japan. Lobster imitation, tobiko salad. Interesting, tuna and egg mayonnaise sandwich, okay. I'm going to try their egg sandwiches. Because I miss Japan a lot.

7 eleven dim sum breakfast in hong kong...

My favorite brand of Taiwanese instant noodles. I haven't tried it yet. Banana milk. So you have to be careful with the microwave in Hong Kong. It's not like in Japan, where you just press a button. So it says "four plus four", that means you press Four once and then when it's done you press it again. So this was Four plus Three, so I pressed Four and pressed Plus Three. This is six plus three. When you're done, press a Three. There really isn't a place to eat at the Hong Kong 7-Elevens. They're not really prepared that way.

So I'll take it back to my hotel room with the exception of this. I have to eat this right now. Here you have straws...lids, fork, spoon, chopsticks and tongs...oh, that's out. This ramen is so good because inside this package there is a sauce and real pieces of meat. That's also why, if you try to bring this to the United States, you can get caught. And this will be confiscated because you're not supposed to take it. A lot of people ask me where to buy it in the United States, I think Ebay. Probably the only place. "Super hot beef flavor"...never tried this.

Oh, I could already smell the numbness. It definitely needs a little more time. Wow, look at this. The noodles are a little wide so I assume they will chew well too. Let me see if I can find it. Oh here we go. Pieces of beef, with little fat on the sides. I'm going to eat it... with some shumai and fish balls. A little soaked in this spicy sauce at the bottom. That's not a bad fish ball, especially the spicy, delicious sauce that accompanies it - a good thing. I know this is not a Hong Kong instant noodle, but the pain never fails me.
A little shumai. I'll also dip it in that spicy, delicious sauce. It definitely doesn't taste like siumaai yoi fun at a dim sum place (a little sticky, the wrappers are non-existent), but at least I can taste a shrimp. I'm not asking for much. Ohh, I love these noodles so much. I think when choosing between fish balls and their shumai, you will definitely get the shumai. But whatever you get, get that sauce. I still think I like the meat version. With this moment, you know better. I missed it so much... Alright, the store is filling up. I need to get out of here.
It takes up a lot of space... Let's have the rest of it for breakfast :) but I must say: the staff at that 7-Eleven... the nicest people... maybe I've ever met in Hong Kong... just the nicest, very nice people. sweet. They even ask me if I will come back tomorrow for more. But anyway, they helped me with the microwave, they helped me with the instant noodles... what great people, greetings to them. Ohhh, this is actually very, very nice because that's the view from my hotel window. This is the port - Beautiful. Looking at that beautiful landscape, eating a 7-Eleven.
This is the dream right here. If this were in Japan, it would be even more perfect. UHh, I don't even know where to start... Ugh, that's a really milky milk tea. Let's eat. These are Singapore style fried rice noodles. And this is a very popular dish not only in Singapore, but also among Cantonese. the noodles are pretty spongy, a little bit of peas, just a little bit of pork, and you know, so-called eggs, so there's really not much sauce here or dressing here. It is mainly found in noodles. I know this will need some hot oil.
I don't hate this. I mean, the noodles are dry. I wish this had a little more sauce, but I like the chew and would like the curry flavor. Honestly, it's not bad for me. Oh. It knows exactly what it says: sparkling water and salt. Sparkling water and salt. I didn't know sparkling water needed salt, but it's not bad. It's not... it sounds gross. Alright. This is crazy. These are chicken feet and pork ribs over rice, and these are very popular dim sum dishes and if you want some classics, you would definitely go for the chicken feet and pork ribs with black bean sauce on top.
That's bad. They taste like ribs that have been sitting out for a few hours, and someone went in there (magic flavor elf) and just extracted all the flavor and then left it for you to eat. I feel like this is where Santa leaves Asian kids really naughty. I'll try the chicken for you. I'm really... terrified by this. I mean, chicken feet themselves have a horror factor... But if you put them on a bowl of microwave-safe rice, it looks devilish. I'm pretty sure he's pointing the finger at me right now. Surprisingly, don't hate it. The flavor is much better than ribs.
I mean, it was right next to the ribs, maybe it took away all the flavor. It's like a vampire chicken claw that steals the flavor. That texture is not bad. It actually tastes like something out of a restaurant. I want to say it's not spring chicken, but I can't help but be bothered by this. Sorry Sorry. Very good chicken legs. Again, I'm not a chicken feet expert, nor a Colonel Soare, so to speak. Sorry, that's the last one. Just... They're not bad chicken feet. Oh, Rice with beef brisket and tendon. I've been waiting for this. In case you don't know, Hong Kong is famous for its beef brisket.
And I really wanted to try this. The only thing is that the packaging on these microwaveable things is incredibly hard to tear off. Inside: a little radish and the pieces of meat, soaked in sauce and what we have to do is take a little of that and put it on the rice, a little extra sauce. Oh, a big piece of beef tendon. You know, when you were a kid, your parents told you, or at least mine, to chew my food a hundred times before swallowing it. I think it actually took literally a hundred chews. Oh, that was a tough brisket, but I have to say the opposite for the tendon like Oh, man...
That tendon is very, very soft. I like a little chew on my tendon. I don't like it so soft. It was almost soft like pudding. I think the best thing I've tried in this dish so far is the radish. It's really juicy and crunchy. I think the meat is tasty and the sauce is excellent, but some pieces of meat are too tough for me, but again they taste very good. Very good flavor. A little hot oil, mix a little sauce, mix it with the rice. That's only good to eat. Fried rice, what looks like roast pork, peas and shrimp.
Oh, this is the worst I've had so far. The combination of curry and bits of egg and pork is as bland as peas. You know, sometimes I eat something really delicious and I can't identify that amazing combination of aroma and flavor, but it's so delicious. Yes, this is the opposite of all that. Oh, the noodles are so much better than this. This is Cheung Fun, a classic and very popular dim sum item: steamed rice noodles in a little sauce. Not bad. It definitely won't be like fresh steamed rice noodles; Don't expect that, but it is delicious.
It's chewy. I like sauce. It is fragrant, spicy, and does not leave a bad taste in your mouth. And I think the sauce, once you finish this, you can use the sauce for a lot of things. That's a great sauce. These are the chicken wings. I think they are like chicken wings braised in soy sauce. They look pretty juicy. They are not bad. The truth is that they are quite good. A little sweet, also umami flavor. Very aromatic aftertaste that leaves your mouth feeling like someone walked in there and sprinkled it like Good Chicken Potpourri all over it.
Good material. I'm thinking these are going to be good. These are really good. She told me it goes great with chicken and I think it will go great with a spicy and delicious fish ball. And the noodles themselves are quite fragrant. It has a nice touch. I think there's a similar sauce on the noodles too, and the chicken doesn't look too bad. The chicken is good. I would stick with the fish balls. But it goes well with noodles. We need something a little spicy with these noodles. The fish ball is still one of my favorites here.
I have an idea. Trust me; It doesn't happen that often. Noodles in the delicious and spicy fish ball sauce. Ah, now they look much more attractive. I like that. I think because of all these things, if you can, eat it as soon as you get it. I think I let these noodles sit a little longer than I should have. But when they are fresh, they make good noodles. 7-Eleven Egg Sandwiches. I always come from Japan and I just want to see what it's like here because I've been missing these so much. And they are distant cousins, right?
There can't be that much difference. It's still the same family tree of eggs. I mean at first glance it's something similar. No crust. The egg, you know, is egg salad. They sure look alike. You can definitely tell they are related. The bread: pleasant, airy and bouncy. It is not the same. Not bad. The texture... is a little more crumbly than the Japanese version. The sandwich overall is not that light. It's not as airy. It's not as good as Japan's. The bread, I think, is also a factor. This bread... it's just not as soft. I think overall it's a harder version of the egg sandwich.
They are still good. Not a bad egg sandwich. So it was like I had never had egg sandwiches in Japan and I had this, for me it will be an amazing egg sandwich, but there is something about this that is too sweet for me. Oh, this is interesting: Tuna and Egg Mayonnaise Sandwich. Again, if you remember, in Japan they used to make egg salad sandwiches with tuna salad sandwiches, and it was amazing. So I used to eat them together and they, here, literally just put the tasty ingredients inside two pieces of bread. As soon as you take the sandwich out of the package, you can tell that the bread is much harder, much more stale than what you would get in Japan.
Yes, this is not good. The tuna is not that fresh. I know it's canned tuna, but it just doesn't taste that much like tuna. This combination almost gives off a kind of bitter taste, really strange. This really isn't that good. Lobster sandwich and tobiko salad. Oh, you know this isn't bad. Dare I say this is good, still a little sweet for me. But nice chewy pieces of meat. The sauce is creamy and flavorful. There are like little pieces of fish eggs here. Not a bad sandwich. So I think of the three sandwiches I had, this one and this egg sandwich were the ones I liked the best.
I think egg and tuna will probably appear in my nightmare. Banana milk. Yeah, I like to open it from the other end because you know, I'm rebellious like that. This is delicious. I didn't know you could milk fruit, but I'm glad you did. They have a great variety of bao at 7-Eleven, but let's try this first: This is the very traditional looking sticky rice and it's wrapped in a fragrant and aromatic lotus leaf. And this dish, at least presentation-wise, is the most attractive dim sum I bought at 7-Eleven. So this is sticky rice with roast pork.
Brilliant. If you put this on a plate, serve it to me at a dim sum restaurant, I couldn't tell the difference. This is by far the best dish I have ever had. Higher quality dish. Like I said, 7-Eleven Hong Kong breakfast has a lot of dim sum options and a lot of rolls, so I bought them all so I could try it. Start with this. This is a sweet bun. Hmm! Pandan bun. I love the pandan flavor. That's a good bun. The classic Teochew ball: roast pork bun. That's not bad either. At the moment with the buns, two of two.
I think this is a chicken bun. It is a chicken bun, especially the taste is quite good. It's too sweet for me, but it's not a bad muffin. That's a good bun. ..coffee bun. I think this is a really good snack. If you're hungry or fancy something a little sweet, pop into a 7-Eleven and grab one of these. They are good. Oh...salted egg muffin. Now, I don't know what this would have been like if it were warm because right now the buns are obviously a little cold. Perhaps this could even have been too runny. That's good.
This is one of my favorite things in dim sum: sweet and savory egg bread, runny and egg-yoke. I mean it's not liquid now. Like I said, it's been on my table for about 20 minutes. The sponginess of the outer dough, the sweet creaminess and the light egg and salt of the filling. It's everything you want in this muffin. ThatIt is now the best thing I have ever had on a 7-Eleven menu. I think there must be a microwave somewhere in my hotel. I'm going to microwave this and see if it can still be liquid. I'll be right back.
Very hot bread. Okay, so it doesn't flow like it usually does in dim sum restaurants. It's still really good. You should get this. Guys, you should really go get your girlfriend one of these. Uh oh, ladies too. Go get your boys one of these. You know why? If you give them a Bao or a bun, then they become your Bao Bae, which in Chinese means baby, so you know, they become your baby. Your Bao. Bao honey. Someone should put that in Subtle Asian Traits. Oh, by the way, if you're an admin and you're watching, I posted a lot of funny things, only one of them got posted, so it hurt my feelings, you know?
Anyway, overall, I feel that of all the things I bought, the dim sum items were the best at 7-Eleven here in Hong Kong. Of the dim sum items, I love almost each and every bun. I think those were the best tasting dim sum items. I thought the fish balls were good. The rice noodles are good. The sticky rice was excellent. The chicken wings were delicious. Most of the other microwave lunch items I bought were fine, and I bought a lot of food, but basically today is a lazy Sunday. I'll stay in my hotel room, watch the new season of One Punch Man, and eat and look out my window.
I think it's a fun day. And guys, as a reminder when you're watching this, I'm no longer in Hong Kong due to the editing delay.
