Feb 27, 2020
Hey guys welcome back to my channel so today I'm doing a 5-2 farm junk to

treasure

Dollar Tree and DIY projects. I'm really excited about these because they're so simple and easy to make, anyone can make them, it's just a little paint some stencil silhouettes, you don't have a silhouette. I'm using some templates, some free printables online. I'll leave them in the link in the description box for you, but yeah, let's get started, you guys see this mess over here. It's like all my goodwill things that I eventually have to do or donate. I don't know what I'm going to do without you.

Don't know. I feel like I'm in a time crunch now because I bought everything. these things to do this winter and like this winter just isn't really here, but it's coming, it's going, spring is coming soon. I don't know them, regardless of that, let's jump right into these DIYs for this first DIY. I'm just using this, a cutting board. I bought this for $0.50. They're having a half day off at a

thrift

store and I just left it the best I could, it wasn't the way I wanted it and I'm just using some black acrylic paint. I think it's jet black from Apple Barrel.

Super, you know, one of those paintings, you can buy it at a Walmart and you can have it forever. Honestly, I use so much chalk paint that I forget how. Well, acrylic paint actually goes on like I don't know. I think I need to start buying acrylic paints again or probably just use what I have because I have the same things forever. I use my Silhouette for this one if I can find something. something similar, printable for free. I'll leave the link in the description box below to a different DIY that is also featured in this video.

I have a regular Sun so I'll use that and try to find it too. I choose. I'm wondering how to treat myself but anyway this time I just use my silhouette and I asked everyone how you can remove the vinyl without ripping the paint and I already knew this was going to happen but I actually wanted it to be a painting that would come off a little bit because I was going to end up dressing it up and sanding it a bit anyway, so it wasn't really a big deal. I literally took the biggest drink and I'm not even going to edit it and watch the voiceover.

I'm just taking Waverley paint in celery. I was going to do white and then I thought, you know, let's give it a little bit of green. It's a very light color, so you won't even be able to tell it's green. after I was done I couldn't even tell it was green, that's crazy, uh, and then I like to remove these stencils when everything is still wet. I don't know what the problem was, but it was coming off in pieces, it wouldn't come. You take it all off at once and you'll see the paint come off, that's exactly what I wanted here because I know I could use the polyacrylic spray sealed with Mod Podge.
I don't know all those options, like I said this time, it's just not what I wanted to do, so I couldn't find my little tool for my silhouette and for my stencils, so I just used a pen to remove the rest. I love this I love how it looks I love the

farmhouse

writing this kind of just gives me some primitive vibes just because the primitive shapes are contracted like the black and then like the wood underneath but I think this is so stinky and cute . I love this and for 50 Cent's, how can you go wrong?
This next beautiful find is this barn. I love this, it's wood, it was 309 from Goodwill. I'm just using Waverly chalk paint in white, surprise, surprise and I'm just painting the entire background white and then I'll go in with acrylic paint and go over. the top of the house the top of the house oh my gosh the top of the barn the roof of the barn will be black the bottom will be white and I'm sure you guys will definitely understand that and I was very lucky to be able to find something like this because it wasn't painted before so I only had to do one coat of each color because it was just natural wood, no stain, no paint, no sanding, it was perfect. and then once the paint was dry, I just went in with a sander and stressed it out a little bit.
I love how the ceiling looks. I love how this looks overall. I think it looks amazing. I'm very happy with how it looks. It turned out and this was very simple and easy and it was very quick with just one coat of paint and these little farm animals here are from Dollar General. I think last year and this year this will go to my mom's house. she her her animals and I asked her if she could use them for this because this is her little barn shelf of hers and I think she looks adorable. I love it.
Next is a cutting board. I saw it the best I could. The scratches were so deep they wouldn't come out and I only used Waverly and antique wax. Sometimes I like to wet this, wet it, not even wet it. I like to dilute it with water. I guess it's pretty much the same thing, just to give it a nice little look and I just painted it. I didn't clean it. I like how it looks. I like its color. It was also 309 from Goodwill and I don't know if that's a bit. Expensive, but for a piece of wood I think it is a lot.
I didn't have to cut anything and some people just don't have the tools to cut things, so if you can find a nice piece of solid wood like this, I'd buy them for three

dollar

s and I think that's okay. I'm using these

dollar

tree

wooden letters. I'm going to spell out "farm fresh" and I'm not even going to paint them. I like the look of wood in the color, so all I'm going to do is just take this little chicken template, is it a chicken, is it a rooster? I feel like I also did this on a different DIY and everyone says you said what was wrong, I don't know. it's a rooster it's definitely a rooster like I know what my I don't know it's a rooster it has to be because look at its feathers and that's what a rooster looks like to me um but you so I'm just going to I was taking some chalk paint and I normally use sponges to make senses, but I couldn't find them, so a paintbrush worked well.
I'm going to be heat gluing the farm fresh letters and then not showing them. but I ended up just dry brushing the edges, so it was a little bit white on the edges and around just because the stencil bleed in just a little bit, which was totally fine. I love how it looks. I love it. like the worn look on like the different color I don't know if that's what you guys call it the different color look that's what I'll call it so you can see I dry brushed it right here this is what it looks like when I finished it I put it on in my kitchen and I think it's so stinky and cute and so easy, how easy it was to make, it was super easy, next up is this cute stool, how stinking adorable is this one.
I grabbed it as soon as I saw it at Goodwill this one was 309 and we're really coming up with a pattern right now because I feel like everything I buy at Goodwill is 309 and this is something I bought recently and I know I'm like I'm going to use all of these things in my craft room, but since then I went in early February and haven't been back. I think I went on February 4th or something like that and that's the only thing I thought about. I think Mel and I lied. I bought a couple of things, but anyway that's less than I've been there.
I'm just using this Waverly wax, an antique, again, we're seeing a pattern. Waverly chocolate and white are always my go to and I'm I'm going to put the stain color on the top, I'm not going to wipe it off, nothing like that, I'm just painting it and then I ended up going up the bottom and painting it a little bit more than white, he was kind. yellowish and peeling. I didn't show it because I feel like it wasn't really necessary, but I just go over it again, you can't tell on the video or on camera that it's a yellowish color, but that's what it was and then I came back with my printed silhouette.
I always pay around $40 for all my templates or my vinyl SVGs. That's what we get. I don't know you guys, I'm not that technical. As far as my silhouette goes, even though I tried really hard, this is really all I can do, but I wanted to make a stencil and then I just went back with a brush and applied this over this, it was like the last of my white . chalk paint and it started to get a nasty look and feel so I definitely just wanted to use this and yeah I'm just applying it and I'm applying it to the point where it's almost not covering everything because again I wanted to be like a house rustic countryside.
I feel like not everything here was perfect and I love the way everything turned out with a haunted look without even trying and like they said, yes I know everything. the tricks and things like that to keep my paint from coming off but this is exactly what I wanted and I just love it and this was another pain in the butt. I don't know what it was about tonight with the vinyl not coming off, but uh yeah, I just don't know, I love this, I love it, I love it, I love it and for the ultimate DIY this will cost me $1.
I had this wash sign in my bathroom and I didn't like it, I ended up taking it out and throwing it away. It was in my craft closet, it was from Dollar Tree a while ago and I'm just painting it with the wave, chalk paint and white. I did two layers of this and then ended up printing out a free printable from Pinterest. I'll leave the link in the description box, so if you want to try this one, I just grabbed some graphite paper from Art Aiza and I'm just tracing it. If you don't have graphite paper, I recommend it.
I think this is. It's very easy, so if you don't have a silhouette or you don't have a template, it's very easy, you can reuse the graphite paper so you don't waste it, which I like too. I'm going to use some. jet black acrylic paint from Apple Barrel and painting this Presley is obviously always around so she was helping me with this too and if you don't have graphite paper you can always take the back of the printable and color it with your pencil and then trace over the top with a pen and it works just as well, it just takes a little bit more time, but yeah, this is all I'm doing is painting it and you have a whole new sign.
I think this is so cute. Guys, that's all for the video. I hope you enjoyed it. If you did, let me know in the comments below and if you want to see more simple and easy
