3.5 ACRE INSANE BRUSH MOW DOWN HO' DOWN! MTL XCT ACTION!
good monday everybody and it is a beautiful but cool day out here we are literally in the middle of nowhere and we've got a little
brushcutting job well not really little but i'll show you guys what we got so here's today's project and we got three and a half
acres um right there goes back maybe i don't know 70 80 yards back that way to that tree line back there goes down just makes the dog leg goes back out to the road so we got to get all this mowed and
brushcut down except for these big trees she wants to say we're leaving these bigger oaks in here but the rest of this it's all coming out all getting mowed down and i really don't know how long this is going to take me because it kind of varies in thickness i walked in here some places it's kind of thicker like right there where this patch of gums is growing and then you walk in there and like that middle section is nothing but just some small
brushand broom straw cane grass so i got the skid steer over here warming up i just sharpened the blades on gave them a little sharpen and we're gonna get this thing rocking and rolling so let's see how long this takes i'm hoping to get it done today i got a little bit of a late start i had to go order that new track for the mini excavator this morning and then drive like an hour out here but hopefully this won't take too long but if we have to come back tomorrow and finish it up so be it let's get started so so so so so so...
so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so my um so so well the front part is done and so all we got is that back part i don't know how big this particular section was but it took me right out three and a half hours to do this in here uh the stuff in it wasn't very big you know that's like maybe three quarters of an inch but you can see how dense it was a lot of stuff in it was really dense so a bit of a struggle nothing too bad nothing too crazy this front was a pain in the butt i mean look at these mountain the way this is all mounded up i was rocking and rolling all in that skid steer it was a pain and there was a bunch of mouths along this front edge too and just anytime the ground is uneven like that it typically just makes for a lot harder cutting a lot less efficiency the reason i did this in a section so just so you guys could see it you know if i'd have gone down there and made that l you guys really wasn't able to see it in the time lapse so yeah it looks good quick uh little tip you're doing this kind of work you're new to it you can typically
brushcut along parallel with the road i try to not deface the road as little as possible but you can parallel the road as long as so my blades are spinning count uh clockwise like this so if it's going to throw anything typically it wants to throw it either out that way or off to the right as the blade comes around it'll catch something grab it and then...
off it goes out that way so if the blades are spinning away from you know like the road typically there's a lot less chance of anything going out that way not to say it's not impossible but it's a lot less likely so i gotta get that little section right there too i miss that so all right we'll start that second part and see how that goes so do foreign well we are done just got the machine blown off and cleaned up i can uh get her down the road if you're doing this kind of work a backpack blower is absolutely essential so easy to just blow these machines off and then you know with this thing especially in the summertime if i'm on a big
brushcutting job and i'm going to be there you know all day or whatnot and i'm mowing you know
brushcutting really uh you know stuff that's got a lot of fuzz and grass dander and stuff in it you start getting all that stuff into the radio i really like to blow that radiator out about every four hours especially in the summertime when it's getting hot and that really helps keep that thing running cool and that backpack blower does a great job of doing that but this all cleaned up really good everything's nice and mowed down i like
brushcutting doing this kind of work right now in the winter time because when i got out here this morning it was like 37 degrees so it was nice and cool you never have to worry about that thing having any issues with anything catching fire or overheating...
it's got nice cool air out here coming into the intake and the radiators and everything so doing this in 90 degree weather in the middle of july would not have been ideal so i'm glad i got this done but i talked to the client i think she's going to let me start maintaining this property from now on i don't think this had been cut in about two or three years she had a guy maintaining it and i think he's just moved on to bigger and better things and really just didn't have i guess time to come over here and do this little three and a half
