high

end

tree

DIYs from this year 2020, which is why my rope tray has been such a popular project on my channel that you guys have really loved. and it is very easy to assemble. If you have seen rope trays on other websites, they can be very expensive. This one won't cost you much, so you just need this plastic tray from Dollar Tree and you also need some nautical rope. I can get it at Dollar Tree, but I like to buy it in a large spool on Amazon.

I'll link the one I use below. I usually buy one or two spools and it lasts me a while if you're using the Dollar Tree type you'll probably need at least five or six for this project so you'll start in the center so place a hot glue mark in the center and then press down on your nautical rope and then you will start making spirals with your nautical rope. rope and placing it on your tray with hot glue when you're starting you need to use a lot more hot glue so usually what I do is just draw lines with the hot glue and when I go around just press it down into the glue make sure that while turns don't leave any gaps, you don't want to be able to see anything through the board if you run out of a nautical rope, just hot glue it on and then start over with a new piece and in exactly the same place, you just want to continue with the rope until you have completely covered the tray.

You don't want to be able to see the tray at all and then once you put it in place just use hot glue. This is going to be your butt wherever the hot glue is on the bottom and then you want to add handles to it, it just makes it look really cute so cut out two pieces to use as handles and then all you have to do is hot glue them on. on the back of your workout, if you want more stability on your handles you can always add tape to keep them in place and I still have mine on my shelf, it's such a cute project and easy to make for the next project.

You'll need four terra cotta pots and I'll start by using my Waverly white chalk paint and I'll just paint the chalk paint on my pots and then wipe it off. I want this I look very distressed and I don't want the whole pot to be covered next. I'm going to go in with my black marker and I'm just going to draw around the top edge of this fill on top so that it's completely black to fill. To these pots I'm going to add some really cute succulents from Dollar Tree. I think these have to be my favorite and three of them look great in a group, so to make your extra wreath, I grabbed these moss balls at Dollar Tree. and I also took a wire form that you want to remove the inner wire form in this section that has maybe four or five of them and to do that I just use some wire cutters and removed it and bent the wire back and forth. and will finally come off below.

I used my wire cutters to cut a slit in the top so I could add my moss balls. Now when you're putting these moss balls on, at first I tried just gluing them on but that doesn't work as well so you're going to have to push something through them to get them to fit around the wire wreath and I just use my scissors yeah If you had something else, a pin, anything really would work, it's not necessary. There's a lot to overcome, so I'm going to string them all over my wreath. Now when I got to the top, I just took my two ends and then put them together and it stayed in the place that you want to make it really well.

If you're sure you don't have any space between the moss balls then I'll use some Spanish moss and just hot glue between the corners, that will give it a little more rustic look and then I made a burlap bow. which I'm just going to place at the bottom to finish it off and that's all you need for this cute Masri. Another thing I always see on the Pottery Barn website are textured planters and they have so many fun and different ones, last year I created a few. planters where I use Vaseline and I thought, let's change this up a little bit and use some stencils and create something really fun and I have to say this is probably my favorite project I've done in 2020.

I love the shape It turned out I grabbed two planters from Dollar Tree and my recommendation is to try to have pots that don't have much bath

, that usually works better. I also grabbed some putty that I already had on hand, but you can also pick it up at Dollar Tree if you need it and then grab some stencils from Walmart. I bought these that had different textures so there were only 297 of them so it was a good deal so the first stencil I'm going to use is this herringbone stencil. and this was kind of a learning curve.

What I did was I started with the putty and I'm going to press it into my pot. So the idea is that you're supposed to be able to lift the stencil and then I have this really awesome pattern, well the stencil I had wasn't big enough to make the whole pot so I had to add more to the top and bottom . The other thing is that you have to wait until your putty has a chance. dry before moving it to the other side, otherwise you will squish all the putty, so this project took a long time to wait.

I recommend doing one side and giving it 20 minutes to dry before coming back and doing the next one. and once you have finished your planters, you can choose to leave them as they are. I actually added gray paint and white paint. I was experimenting with how I like this to look. I actually kinda liked the white paint that was added. a little more, I think they definitely need it. I didn't add it, but you can leave it as putty if you like, it looks better. They're definitely not perfect due to their curved shape, but I like that they aren't.

Perfect, I think the rustic part makes them look really cool and then I added these fake plants from Ikea, but you can add whatever you want, so the next tray I'm going to make was

by these long trays I found. at Dollar Tree I thought it was really cool and had an amazing shape, so I bought some popsicle sticks that they sell at Dollar Tree, they're the bigger kind, like tongue depressors, and all I do is go. to measure them to fit inside my tray once I measure one I'm just going to draw a line and cut them all to fit inside my tray next what I'm going to place I'm going to place them on my tray before I glue anything and like overlapping I'm going to leave a little section and an opening so it looks overlapping, rustic and everything, and I'm just going to fill this in and make sure I have enough.

Make sure they all work before you start hot gluing them. I decided that spray painting would be best, so I'm going to use white chalk spray paint. I'm not in love with this spray paint. I prefer like it. a oxide-oleum matte spray paint, but I had it, so I was using what I had. I know some people have really good luck with chalk spray paints, but it's not my favorite, so I'm just going to use a regular Sharpie and I'm going to run it along the edge, you just want to turn your marker to the side and pass it on now, this doesn't have to be perfect, so when I have a little mess like I'm standing still.

Right there, all I'm going to do is make a little loop and this will give it character, but I don't start doing that, I just wait until I make a mistake and then it just works. You also want to leave a little bit of black on top and then when you're done you can go back and add a little bit more to give it more character if you think I need it now for my tray handles. I'm just going to use some jute twine. I'll tie it up below. I buy it in a big long foot on Amazon.

It's much cheaper to make than to buy it at Dollar Tree. Also, the nautical rope at Dollar Tree is a little hard to find. I'm just going to hot glue them on the ends and that's all you need to make this really adorable tray my latest cratenbarrel

piece. I really loved how it turned out, so I grabbed two of these clear hurricane vases and some of these wood pieces. that they sell at Dollar Tree and I'm just going to take the wood pieces and I found four that were as level as possible so I tried to get them to be exactly the same height and I'm going to hot glue them to the bottom of my jars and then for my other jar to have a variation in height.

I took four of the pieces and cut them in half and I'm just going to hot glue them to the bottom since I couldn't make different sized jars this way. It'll give me a little variation in height now. I really wanted to mimic that white texture on the jars, so what I decided to do was get scrapbook paper that had a white texture to give me that kind of feel. I went to Hobby Lobby and checked out their specialty papers and they have several types of embossed papers that look great for this type of project, so all you have to do is measure your container and cut it out at the bottom. so it fits perfectly in your container, next I'm going to measure another piece so I have enough for two containers and finally I'm going to hot glue it around my jar and here's a look at how my duped containers turned out.

Every time I look at

end catalogs I always see these succulent containers and I thought you know what I could definitely make with supplies from Dollar Tree, so I bought this plastic succulent tray from Dollar Tree. I also bought the natural stone rocks, I think the natural ones. The stones helped make it much more sophisticated and then I will also add some reindeer moss in the center. I don't want it to cover my rocks, I just want to add a little bit. to give it a little bit of greenery and I'm also going to add some Spanish moss just to give it a little bit of color variation.

I'll add some of my favorite succulents below. I'm going to use four, I think three. or four is good for this size container. I'm just going to cut the labels off and then remove the clips that are at the bottom. I think for most succulents I usually remove the clips at the bottom. I don't think I've ever hooked them to anything but just take the bottom and stick them on your rocks so it doesn't stick out and you can't see the bottom piece and then I also cleaned up the edges because there was some Spanish moss at the end once For the succulents to be in place, you may want to add a few more rocks or a little more Spanish moss, just weigh in if you know you can't see it or think an area needs some. a little more and I think this looks great sitting on a wooden tray or would also be great sitting in the middle of a coffee table.

There's no need to spend a lot of money on bath

room

accessories when you can make them for a

dollar

from Dollar Tree, so I just bought some of the containers they have at Dollar Tree that have lids and I'm going to tape the bottom of the caps so that when you spray paint it doesn't spray. -painted and I'm just going to spray paint the lids of all my containers and I'm going to use some black spray paint that I had on hand and I'm just going to spray the lids. I always do two to three coats when I'm spraying anything I'm also going to add in this clear container from Dollar Tree like it's a toothbrush holder, so I'm just going to tape the top.

I didn't spray paint with this because I was worried. putting it in the middle so I used my Waverly Paint ink and I'm just going to paint around the top edge and these are great accessories to put in your bathroom they can hold swabs from your toothbrush so many different options. So next I'm going to make a plant arrangement and use this metal can. This Middleton is actually from Ikea. The tape I'm going to use is from Dollar Tree. You can get a similar can like this at Dollar Tree and I'm just going to cut a piece off and hot glue it around the base of my metal can and then I always like to hot glue wherever the back of the container is, so that way the pretty side is on the front to fill.

In my container I am going to use these natural rocks. I've really liked these rocks this year. I think they are great. I found this greenery at the Dollar Tree so I'm going to put it in the middle of the rocks and then I'm going to add extra rocks so it stays in place and stays tall and then to finish it off I'm just going to play with the branches and tear them off to It looked nice and full when it was. At Dollar Tree I found these cool stickers that were great for traveling and I thought they would look great on my RV that we were working on so I have this one that says explore, dream, discover and then there was another one that said I believe.

The adventure awaits. I picked up some of the canvases at Dollar Tree and I'm going to start by removing the white part of the campus and use some scissors or something. These are attached pretty well but they do come off. You can also use wire cutters. If you had them on hand, just choose what you need to take them out. Next, I'm going to draw around my canvas because I'm going to usethis canvas for my project and then I'll just cut out the part that I drew. So with the frames I'm going to use brown washed vintage effects and this is one of my favorite products that I use, you just wipe it off with a brush and then you can remove it, it gives it a stain like look, I'll link it in the box description for you.

I grab mine from Amazon, then I grab those stickers that I bought at Dollar Tree and I'll put them on there however I feel. At that point, you know, just play with it, have fun, and then with my frame, I'll hot glue that piece of canvas to my frame making sure to cut off any excess so it doesn't hang over the edge and I will repeat the same process. With my other frame, these look great hanging in your RV, but they would also look great in a kid's room or you know, you can do this in so many different places and I like to add them to the walls with command strips, I think they hold up.

It looked great when you put a couple of command strips on the back. When I was shopping on the Pottery Barn website, I found these letter frames and thought I could easily redo them with supplies from Dollar Tree. I also saw something similar at Hobby Lobby so I grabbed this black frame from Dollar Tree that I'm going to use I'm going to remove everything from the frame because I'm not going to use any of that and then I also had this cream colored paper that I just used. I had it on my scrapbook paper and I'm going to use the back to cut it to the next size.

I'm going to use these 8 inch letters, I'm going to link them in the description box and I'm going to use a Fenwick F for my stencil, so I'm just going to put my letter on my paper and stamp it with Waverly black or the ink color as they call it and I like to use very little paint whenever I chalk and I start at the edge and work my way in instead of pushing it out, that's how I help reduce the bleeding as much as possible, but then I work my way back in with my brush and I just draw the lines up a little bit and if there are any kind of bubbles it helps blend them in a lot better and then like in the Pottery Barn image I'm just going to distress it around the edge, the image had a little bit of distress , so I'm just going to do it to my liking and you can always put the frame on top and see how the frame looks and then if you need to add more wear, you can do that too once everything has a chance to dry, all you have to do is do is add it to your frame and I think for a

easily fooled that Pottery Barn framed macrame wall hangings have been all the rage.

I've seen several of them on the Pottery Barn website, but I wanted to create one that was super simple and since the ones that are really simple, I grabbed some macrame cord from Amazon and I'll link below to the one I use. The thing to remember about macrame is just to make sure you use longer pieces. than you think you're going to need because once you tie things up or fold them in half, you know it's not as long as you thought it was going to be, so I'm going to cut several pieces and I'm going to be using this way of wreath from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to tie them in an overhand knot and then put them together, this is super simple, once you have all the pieces there I'm just going to wrap them around the top to cover my wreath shape and I'm just going to glue it on with hot glue every now and then and I'll wrap it all the way to the end and hot glue it into place next. two pieces on the outside ends and I'm just going to tie some basic knots with the two pieces on the outside ends.

I'm going to find my center piece and do the exact same thing creating about the same length of knots that I did on the right side and then I'm going to repeat this same step on the left side. Then I'll take those two pieces and just connect them by tying them in a knot and then if you feel like I need to add extra pieces like I did in the center this will help fill things out so definitely do it now when you're done you want to cut it to that all the pieces are the same length, but what?

Usually what I like to do is cut them to fit a diagonal point in the center and then to add a little bit to the bottom you can just take those pieces of thread and just fray the edges and I think this is a simple way. macrame piece that anyone could put together, so when I was at Dollar Tree I came across this really cool tote bag, it was canvas and the first thing I thought was it would make a great pillow, so I cut off the handles and I was just going to make a pillow, I had some fringe on hand that I'm going to use for this project, they were from another project, so I'm just going to take that fringe that I already had and cut it in half so I can use it for both sides.

Next, I'm going to hot glue the fringe to the outside of my canvas bag. Now it doesn't go all the way to the bottom, so for the bottom part it will be fine because once you fill it, it will stay on. the bottom so you can't see it, but I'll offset the top by tucking it in to make sure you can't tell that the fringe doesn't go all the way to the top next. I'm just going to stuff my pillow. You can use the filling you bought at the store. I like to buy this buffalo snow when it's on clearance in January at Hobby Lobby or Joanne.

You can also use filling from another pillow or maybe you have a filler. animal, just save that stuff so you can use it in your new projects and you don't want to fill it completely, just fill it a good amount so it has the look you're going for and then close. From the top, all you have to do is hot glue it closed for our next project. You will need to get one of these plastic pots from Dollar Tree and I will cut it in half. It's actually pretty easy to cut and I did it with just a good pair of regular scissors.

Next I'm going to create a backing piece by taking some foam board that I already had on hand and I'm just going to trace around this piece and then cut it out now. I want to make sure my foam board fits inside the pot. Once it fits in there, I'm just going to hot glue it around the edges and snap it into place. I'm going to use a white spray paint to spray this, it will take about two coats to cover the entire piece but that's okay, you also want to make sure you get the back piece to be a similar white color because you might see some her leaving.

Next I'm going to use the vintage wash and brown effects and I want so little of this that I'm just trying to create a little bit of dimension in my planner, so I'm going to run it over the top and I'm also going to put it in the slots and just clean it up. . I don't want to see too much paint here. One trick I like to use when I feel like I'm using too much paint is to reuse my base color, so I'm just going to use a little bit of white because I felt like I messed it up too much, but that's the fun thing about paint you can add and just change the look of whatever you're creating once these pots had a chance to dry.

I added some Spanish moss to the bottom and then you can really fill it with so many different things. I used this bunch of flowers that I had bought at the thrift store for maybe a dollar too and I just thought, hey, you know it's going to be cool to put this in my planters, but you could really use anything from Dollar Tree and I'll have fun with it and I'll fill it until I think they look good. They look great on a wall. They would be so great in a bathroom that I thought they would look great in my caravan and I will be attaching them to the wall using just some simple command strips.

I found these great rugs from Dollar Tree but they're actually not big enough in my opinion they are rugs so I'm going to make a pillow out of these two rugs so you just want to lay them flat making sure all the fringes are facing out so that they do not get trapped inside and the easiest way. The way to put it together is to simply use a dot of hot glue on the top and press it into place. You can always sew it if you want. I just like to change it up sometimes. I use hot glue.

Sometimes I sew it and I'm just going to hot glue three of my sides and then I'll come back with the filling and place it in my pillow shape. I like to buy this snow filler whenever it's on sale, but use whatever you want and then you just want to press it. down and it's so simple you just use a bleed of hot glue and it's so simple you just use a drop of hot glue to hold it in place just make sure you don't tuck any of the fringe underneath to add a little bit to this. pillow.

I'm going to use some cream colored thread that I had and one of my large embroidery needles. I'm just going to pass it over the top and you can see on the screen how I'm doing this stitch on the top. and I'm going to do that along the top of this pillow and then I'm going to repeat those same steps on the bottom and there's no way you can tell that this is a Dollar Tree pillow. I love creating fun centerpieces. Items from Dollar Tree, so I had three of these glass hurricane vases and some nautical rope.

I'm going to start from the bottom. I'll hot glue them about seven times and just add a little bit of hot glue as I go. I'll repeat that for the other two chandeliers. I'm going to fill them with some white stones from Dollar Tree and if you just want your stones to stick out a little bit above the rope that you put there, then I'm going to add these cream colored candles that I already had. You can get candles at Dollar Tree if you don't already have some on hand and the last step you want to do is put the rocks on the side of the candle, this will make it look like the candles are coming from below instead of just being on top of the rocks, and these cool little

ative brackets I got from dollar target place and I think they are a cool little grouping, really fun project.

What I made this year was a rope rug. I would suggest getting that nautical rope I was talking about on Amazon, it's much longer and is much easier for this project. I'm going to start by creating a base for my rug and it's kind of like how I made the tray. I'm just going to put it in the center and wrap it around by hot gluing it. You have to use a lot more hot glue if you're not using a base once I have it where I have it. I want it to be, I'm going to use my marker on a piece of cardstock and I'm just going to make a circle around the cardstock and then measure the marks because that's going to help me with the next step that I'm going to be on.

When creating these fun loops, I'm going to hot glue the loops to the base and then try to make sure I measure it up to the marks I put around my circle. Now don't worry if this isn't perfect, it doesn't have to be perfect, but those markings will just give you a good guide for your rug. Once you've gone all the way, you'll start creating a circle again and hot glue it on top. part of all your loops and then you're going to continue with just a straight circle once you get to the desired length you're just going to cut it off and hot glue it in place now for my ends.

I wanted to do something. a little bit more special, so I'm going to create little circles that I can attach to the outside, so I'm going to create them the same way I made my initial circle. I'm just going to hot glue around the edges until I have the size I'm looking for and then I'll just create. I don't know, I don't remember how many I made. Several of these circles, the main point is just to make sure you get them. exactly the same size so I used one of them as my template to help me do the rest, then I'll just place them on the outside of the mat anywhere it's peaceful so everything is similar and I'm going to glue them on heat them into place and I will also hot glue them to connect them together now to give this rug a little extra stability.

I turned it back over and added a bunch of e6000 glue, this really helped keep it in place and East 6000 usually takes overnight to dry but it gave it that really cool bond and here you can see it sitting and oh my gosh the moose was so small there, it looks so cute. I get so much inspiration from There are so many different resources. I see a lot of popular lands on different sites and I know I can recreate them for a much cheaper price, so I bought one of these little clear glass fish tanks from Dollar Tree and I'm going to spray paint them.

Next, I'll fill it with some stones. I had these blue stones on hand, so that's what I'm going to use. You won't be able to see them in the finale, so that's okay, but use what you have on hand, especially when it's something you won't see. Dollar Tree has these great boxwood plants this year, they look so great, so I'll use them in the center. of my plant these are the ones I pick up all the time at IKEA and those smaller plants so I was really excited to see them at Dollar Tree so I'm going to take four of them and put them in a bundle and then just stick them in the center of my rocks to keep them in place.

I'm going to add additional rocks around the edges, but I'm going to use the rocks that I want to show, which are like natural stone rocks, and then I'm also going to add some moss on top of this and I think it looksso adorable now so sometimes it's crazy when you see how many succulent containers there are at high end places and these are totally edible so grab some of these clear fish tanks and some succulents from Dollar Tree. I like to pull the stems off the succulents because I don't need them for this project, so fill the bottom of your succulent container with some natural stone rocks and then I found this.

ative moss they had looked like reindeer moss and because some pinecones on the top but that was what they had at the time I'm just going to put in the green reindeer moss and then I'm going to add the succulents, you want them pushed down, you don't want them sitting at the top because most small succulent containers like this are pushed all the way down and then I'm just going to fill it with the other extra moss that was in the container and this is so easy it would literally take you five minutes to put it together but it looks so cute and high quality when I was out, that when I was at Dollar Tree I found a couple of plant hangers, but I couldn't find any in the color I wanted, so I'm going to use this cream macrame yarn that I had on hand and I'm just going to remove some long pieces the longer the better when making macrame, so I'll take four pieces and thread them through a loop.

You can use any bow you have on hand and I'll take it and tie a knot at the top. I find the easiest thing to do is to hang this on something to create your project, so take two pieces of thread and tie them in a knot, I would say about six inches down, now repeat that with another two pieces of thread next. Go down six more inches and tie another set of knots, so then you're going to take two pieces of rope from separate clumps and then you're going to tie them into a knot. I hope that makes sense, this will create that V shape.

Every time you do this, watch as I take a piece from one group of knots and tie it to another group of knots for my planter. I'm going to use a dollar

planter and spray paint it white now to place your pot, you need to hang it back on the wall and tie a big knot at the bottom, then you can stick that pot in the center of all your knots and the knot at the bottom will be in the center of your pot. I can add it on a real plant. I use an IKEA plant for mine and then you just want to cut it at the bottom so they're all the same length and then I like to go back in and fray the pieces at the bottom I hope you got so much amazing craft inspiration from this video .
