We have a quick start guide, a QR code, a USB cable, a safety guide and the Katana Go boss, which on this side has a screen and the master volume this side has the stage feel Bluetooth charging light and button power button and on this side you can choose channel a b or c Scroll through the banks and activate the tuner this is where you connect the headphones and the USBC cable and that is the plug that goes inside your guitar, on the back there are two rubber strips to protect the guitar. Using it couldn't be simpler: you pick it up, stick it to your guitar and turn it on there just like that.

If I use this camera, you can see him trapped there. However, I thought making the video like this would be a little difficult, so let me show you my proposed recording setup. I have a guitar cable connected to the guitar and that cable goes through this little box, so I'm going to connect the

katana

. I go in there, which means the guitar is now connected to the katana. Instead of headphones, I plug in that little output cable that goes to my zoom recorder and then out of there are my headphones and instead of monitoring with some high-end studio headphones, I'm going to use the headphones that came with it. with my iPhone and the final step is to connect them to my phone, so I press the Bluetooth button on the side and then I connect them there and that's it.

I think it's important to mention that you don't need to connect the katana ve to a phone or any device for it to work. I'm just hooking it up so you can see what's happening for the video. In fact, one of the most notable features is the screen that it allows you to see. what's going on without needing a phone so let's tune by holding that button on the tuner it shows up on the phone but as you can see it's here too this already does it better than a katana amp because it has a tuner press the button again to come.
Take out the tuner and let's listen to it now, it's not stereo, but because of those reverb and delay effects, it feels like stereo, but it's not, it's mono, like the Katana 100 and the other Katana amps, apart from the air and a . which means, and this is super exciting, that you can exchange presets between your amp and the katana using or download them from boss tone exchange but you can't connect the amp to the amp, you have to use a computer in between or possibly the app that I don't know, I have to find out or let me know in the comments, but there are so many presets available for katana amps that you can go online and download them completely free of charge.
I just realized I might be yelling about having headphones on, but enough said, I'm going to go through some presets and give you my top five katana tones, go, just jump here, if you've made it this far and you like the video, give it a like and if you really like it. Like subscribe thank you those are some of my favorite sounds and you can store 30 presets in the katana go and to select it all you need to do is press a b or c which will give you a b and c in that bank and then to change the bank , just move that up, it'll go up one bank and then it'll go down, so there's 10 banks of three presets, each of the things that the boss often does and they do well is take some features from various existing products and then They put it together into a new product which is exactly what they did with the katana go and added the stage feel mode to the Wasa air headphones.
There is a switch on the side of the unit right here. It's called stage feel and it can cycle through several different modes, making you feel like you're inside the music. I've had it off until now but I'll turn it on and cycle through the different modes so you can hear the difference and when you turn it off again it feels a bit empty and boring yeah so it feels like it's missing something even though it sounded good in the first place so I definitely prefer it with stage feel on and there's a custom mode that if you turn it off on that and then use the app you can go into the system and stage feel and then you can move where There is the guitar so that it is like panning, you can also change it from stage to studio or from studio to stage, which is a little more.
In the extreme, what it doesn't do is that gyroscope where you move your head and the amp is somewhere behind or in front of you. You can't do that, but I never used that in Waza Air anyway, I just went to the stage. I feel like I'm very happy to have it on the katana. Come on, let's quickly talk about the app. You have several screens, so the first one is the editor and from there you can select all the different patches and then exit. from that and within that you can go through all the different effects and then within that edit the effect so you can choose the modulation that you want and then once you change your modulation you have all the different controls for that specific modulation. which again is very reminiscent of the other boss apps, uh, then you have the librarian, so at the moment I only have the Katano user memory data, the library contents, the library contents, but you can create a live set and you can call it Andy wow there we go and then there you can select and save another set of presets and then export them using these buttons to the katana go or actually import them from the cloud or from a file which is a completely different video than me I'm sure the boss will tell you how to do it if they don't maybe I can make a video on that at some point so the ringtone swap doesn't work yet and I'm using the beta version of the app , so maybe yes.
It will arrive before June 24. Don't know. You have one system for all settings and there you can do a surprising number of different things, like checking the battery, which is now down to one because I've been using it. for a week and the battery lasts up to 5 hours, but I've been using it for about four at this point, so let's see how long it lasts. You can also connect the katana to a wireless pedal, to a specific wireless one. pedal well two, one of them is the FS1 WL, this means you can change presets and other things on the katana wirelessly.
Doing this is quite simple. I'll explain how to do it very quickly, so turn it off and on again. and then I'll wait for it to boot up and then I'll press Bluetooth mode and then I'll put it on Wireless midi so it's on and I'll press the instrument there and it will connect. Yes, it's connected, so now instead of changing. patches with the buttons on the side, you can do it with the footswitch there and also the footswitch has extended connectivity so you can do even more things by plugging more pedals in there, now I know I turned it on, but if it turns out The boss manual it's not as good as it

should

be and I'll just make another video for you and we'll go a little bit more in depth about using the katano with things like this wireless footswitch, something that the katano pulled out of its pocket.
Boss's GT is the session material that allows you to load a YouTube video into the app and then play it so you can go in there and I'm going to add some from the internet, paste in an Earl that I found earlier, an Earl. a URL and then it's an ACDC-style backing track. There is. I can go to my editor and I selected uh Stadium alone, but I'm going to turn the volume down to get a better mix. Press play there, the track will start and I can follow along. I think I'm staying still. I'm fine, you get the idea.
The fact is that I can upload a YouTube video if it's a tutorial, you can slow it down if it's a backing track that you can play along with and you can also set little markers, how do I do that? There we go with that marker, a marker two, and it will jump to that part of the video, press play and that's it. I hope I've gotten across that katana girl has a lot of things that are useful for practicing, learning, and just enjoying the guitar, but there are a few more tricks she has up her sleeve that I'm not sure the boss intends to do. used for but you can use it so why not the first thing you can do is connect it to any speaker system that has an ORS and use that speaker as an amplifier.
Now I have the cable coming out of the katana. this extension and the other end into the Orcs input of the speaker so the little Bluetooth speaker with mic is now a guitar amp and of course it needs some tweaking but you could get away with using something like that and you can use any thing with an Orcos on the katana 100 has an Orcos that takes me to the

next

trick you can do, so I'm still connected to the katana. I'm still in that patch, whatever natural impulse is connected to the katana. 100 Orcs now, the reason this is cool is if I had a friend here with me or if you were playing or something and your friend had a katana amp or some amp with a line or Orcos, you could take the The katana goes with you and then play with the same amp, which is why people always ask if you can connect another guitar to the katana.
Now you can do it through the Orcs. Now, as I mentioned, there is a base mode and to do it yourself. You have to turn it off, hold the Bluetooth and turn it back on, this changes to mode, select guitar, then you use the plus and minus to select the base, press it again to select, it says change, now you have to turn it off and on. Turn it back on and now you're in base mode, so now you see we have three old, flat and modern amps, and you can switch them back in the katana go.
I'm just using the phone so you can see more details, but I'm going to go to some heavy fuzz presets let's go back to that um pop bass sounds fun. I have a chance to try Fusion slap and then just for myself heavy fuzz moments like this I wish I had been a The bassist has a lot of fun, that's the Basse mode on the katana go and there's a lot going on there, not just the three amps and lots of effects. It's worth a try if you're a guitarist. that has a bass or if you are a bassist and you have chanced upon this channel.
Hi, if this Katana girl has the same capabilities as the Katana amps, she should handle the pedals just fine, so let's find out and plug in a fuzz. I'm going to go into it and give it a good test, so I've got the guitar going in here. Now I'm going to use the guitar on the fuzz pedal and then we'll take the fuz pedal out onto the katana. So I have a crunchy amp a bit dirty selecting the fuzz okay I mean you need the pedal okay I prefer I prefer a backlight but it sounds like a fuzz it's certainly getting fuzzy this is possibly not the best pedal to see if the katana go has pedals, but let me know what you think in the comments section.
There was one thing I probably should have tried at the beginning, but I've tried it throughout the video playing various guitars and stuff. Does it fit all guitars? I can answer by saying yes, so far so no problems and there seems to be enough room and wiggle room to get everywhere a guitar that has problems is this one, sometimes the ianz AZ and does it plug in there? If it does. Okay, that's there. You can't really see the screen because it's facing that way, but it's there and you can use it. Can I turn it the other way?
No, it doesn't connect at all. it goes in that way so if you want to see the screen that would be really helpful so it's sticking out to me but it's not plugged in properly so if you have a guitar with a jack cable sorry the jack plug down there will be One other problem besides it fits, it will work but I can't see the screen because it is completely there. There is one last thing that the katana girl has going for it and that is that it is a USB interface, so if you plug your USB cable in there and then to your computer or your phone, you can record directly from this and also, if you plug it into your phone, you can stream directly to Instagram or YouTube or you know Myspace or any of those, I guessprobably not Myspace.
Don't think it's not running anymore, let me know, but what I mean is that you can use this as an audio interface, which isn't uncommon for things like this, but it's nice to know you can do that too. I haven't actually put this in my pocket yet, let's see if it fits, that's right, there's a little honey wrapper in there, um, I have average pockets and it should fit in any pocket you can find, does it fit in that little pickpocket pocket? ? Oh, almost look at that amazing, what is that? in your pocket it's just a Boss Katana guitar amplifier anyway, let's round up this review uh, let's talk about the price first, it's €130, just over 1, I hardly know anything, US dollars, I think it's worth every penny you get, all the functionality that I've shown you in this video that you're getting all those sounds, the tone swapping when it works, you're getting premium quality, um and also quickly it's built well, it's not built in the best way, like it's still a sturdy plastic piece. um I wouldn't want to try it if you know that if you hit it with your guitar you'd probably break it and that goes for anything that looks like this and does this job, there's a little bit of flex, but if you put pressure on it, it would break.
As for the screen, it is sturdy, the buttons are pleasant to press and they don't seem like they are going to fall. A big plus point is the tuner mode, the fact that you can have a tuna with the push of a button changes everything for me the tuna is the only thing missing on the katana amps but also on the Wasa air headphones and things like the Fender Mustang micro where I took the Mustang micro on my Stratocaster On vacation, I also have to carry a clip on tuner. Now I just have to take this and I would definitely take this.
I would definitely replace the micro Mustang with this one because not only does it have the tuner, but it also has the screen so you can see. what you're doing and also with the Mustang micro, which I must say I love and I still recommend the Fender Mustang micro. I had to take the little card that says what color LED does what because it only has colored LEDs on the side so you can You have to measure by color what you're doing and the boss clearly saw a problem with that and fixed it by putting in a screen here and now I have a wish because we have Katana Mark 2, we can't go that far. away from Katana Mark I and while I love your simplicity I wish you had a tuna and if you had an LED display you could so I don't know if boss wants to get you away from the simplicity of katana amps I don't know.
I know if you want that, so if you want it or not, let me know in the comments how you feel if you feel strongly about it, but just having a tuner on the katana amp would automatically make it even more versatile than it already is, but No need to add an LED or LCD screen. To have a tuner, you can use the lights that are already on during the week I used this. At no point was it disappointed or sold out. battery and it's taken me quite a while to record this video and the battery is still charged and I haven't charged it since I started using it last week one thing that's a little strange is that I've been trying to edit this video all week and just I'm editing it now and added this P piece in um, my son has been sick and the only way I've managed to play guitar in the last four or five days is with this and headphones on the couch with him while he's sweating and suffering, so, yeah, it's very important that you have this, so boss, it's a great time for all the things you could want, there's just one thing missing and it's very nice to have in the The USB audio interface is part of it, although this is mono, you get left and right input and they're both affected by uh signals, so whatever you have set up to say crunch with some delay, you're going to record Crunch and delay.
I wish it. had because it's just mono channel one as the affected channel with crunch and delay on it for example, and channel two as just the clean di so you can reamp it later like you can with the katana amp boss. I'm pretty sure that's the case. possible with a firmware update, if you could do that I would have absolutely no desires about this and then this would be perfect, ultimately why wouldn't you want a katana? It has all the amplifier stuff in one small package. that fits in your pocket plus a tuner plus tone swapping plus YouTube videos plus the USB audio interface is easy to use is likely to last a long time and is also a pretty good price if you can get one for just over 100 dollars I think this will replace your

practice

equipment.
I never thought it would replace my Wasa air headphones or my Fender Mustang micro. I love both for different

reasons

, this will now be my number one

practice

tool, that's quite a surprise to me, I hope it helped you make some decisions about Kat and go. There are links in the video description. They are affiliate links.
