crafts

you can do. I make with

paint

stick

s and as always I hope you enjoy the show and if you haven't subscribed to my channel yet I would love for you to click that button and see this on pinterest last summer and it made me think I could make this . in miniature size, so you'll need some

paint

stick

s, some of these spinning tower play blocks, some quart size paint sticks, and some small

dollar

tree

plaques.

Now they can be substituted for paint sticks, it's just that I have them and I want to use them because a lovely subscriber sent them to me so I want to use my craft supplies that I have and I knew I had a lot of really great ideas. I had 10

crafts

and I was worried I would fall short now, you see. I'm using the tall blocks to glue those three paint sticks together, that's what's holding them together for support. I use the gallon paint sticks that don't have those little curves at the top because they waste a lot of wood if you don't have that, just replace it by making it a little smaller.

More Interesting Facts About,

10 paint stick diys paint stick farmhouse diys paint stick crafts dollar tree diy...

You can cut it if you want, but this will show you how to do the DIY, so same for that little piece of wood on the shelf you have. Watch me lay out towering blocks equal to three paint sticks, so you could easily make a shelf with three paint sticks, just cut it up and hold it together with wood glue, maybe some support with a small craft stick underneath . like a pallet sign and it would work perfectly fine, so now we have the problem with the little tall blocks showing in the front, so I want that night to look nice and finished, so I'm going to move on. and add the quart paint sticks, also known as large craft sticks, to the front and I'll do it with wood glue along the shelf and then just hot glue the edge for an instant hold, unlike the i saw pinterest i want mine to have like a little roof, i thought it would be so cute you can use more paint sticks for this, but i'm going to use some scrap wood because these are pieces that are a little bit weird shaped and Honestly, Don't throw anything away guys, I try to use everything I have in my craft supplies, so I choose to make that part of my ceiling just some scrap wood and I'll attach it with a hot glue combination. and wood glue and for those of you who are new to my channel, I have talked about this many times before in videos, wood glue has the ability at a molecular level to become one with the grain of the wood, so many Sometimes they will try to separate the wood and it will stick together with the glue, so the best glue you can use for raw wood, it should be raw wood, once you paint it, you will have something on it, unless it is a really dry paint, like a white wash or something where there is still a lot of wood grain, you can almost feel it, if you can feel that wood, wood glue will work well if you have a super thick coat, a latex paint or some type of varnish, It won't work You know, but it's great for holding glue.

You know, raw wood. Now you saw me dry the small ceiling with a hairdryer because I won't have time to put it up. You can't put it upside down, it has to dry. right away, that's how I did it. Now I'm taking some black cardstock and I'm spraying that krylon color onto aluminum and drying it to create a faux galvanized metal. Now I love black cardstock and I thought it was so brilliant to think of that because that's what I did with my kitchen counters once I made a sort of faux countertop area and it looked great.
10 paint stick diys paint stick farmhouse diys paint stick crafts dollar tree diy
It turned out that I was watching a YouTuber video, someone else did it too, they made it with white cardboard. but it's a great way to make faux metal or anything that looks not so galvanized, it looks more like aged metal, but it's perfect for this project, so you saw me with the scoring tool at the beginning, I did those too. big so I went back and cut them in half and now it's perfect look at that guys you're going to glue it on the back when we're ready but first we're going to dye this and I'm going to use home decor. wax, you can use any old wax for this and a baby wipe.
Now I just went straight ahead with the baby wipe and wax and it seemed to skid. You know what I mean? The slip factor was gone, I just couldn't pull it off. be very soft because the wood was dry and porous. I tried adding a little water to the wipe, then using a brush and finally found that what worked best was my brush dipped in a little water, I left it as spilled. wet you can see the water on the side there and the applesauce cup by the way don't throw your applesauce cups or your lids on your margarines or your coffee or whatever because that's great for popsicles and for crafts and that's it. throw them in the trash anyway so recycle and reuse but anyway water mixed with a little bit of this wax on a brush is the best application for me it was just very smooth after that it glided on now I You'll see take this painter's pen and just apply it on top there where the stain wouldn't apply because the glue was there, even though you can't see it, it was interfering with your ability to do it in that area, so that was the solution.
It looks nice and rustic and is where the ceiling would probably get a little dirty anyway, so with this part of the craft I decided to only glue where the little creases really hit the wood. I just used a small dot of hot glue on the front. and the back and that was it and I love this so I want to take a moment to explain in this video here is a five gallon paint stick that I substitute with a twelve

dollar

redwood strip that is now six feet and half. I show you here how the sink is identical in width and thickness and the one I found is actually super soft.
You know, someone said, "Oh, laughter is harsh, that's true, but if you investigate, there are a lot of flaws, but you will find some that are absolutely beautiful and I'll show you in a minute here the brilliance. You can see how brilliant they don't even need sanding the lab piece I'm holding right now actually feels like it has clear varnish on it, but it's a lot cheaper to do it this way, so I use it every time I need a 5 gallon paint stick. However, if you have a 5 gallon paint stick, use that and to be fair, I'm going to cut my ribbon into 17 inch strips which is exactly the same size I would cut if I were using the 5 gallon paint sticks. right where the curve is, that's why I don't like to buy the paint sticks because you lose a lot of wood, but I've got you covered.
I've got some DIYs for the top of those paint sticks, so hold on, let's do that and I cut it out. my lab into 17 inch strips and then spray painted them white for the next DIY you'll need. the 1 gallon paint sticks the 1 quart paint sticks and I'm going to split those 1 gallon paint sticks into two sets of eight because I'm doing two DIYs, we're making some tissue boxes that cover them because my husband and Us We like to have it right next to our bed on the nightstand and I tried to hide it out of sight and out of mind and it was very inconvenient because it would wake us up because we would have to open the drawers to go get the tissue, so I thought the Solution to this is to just make it really pretty so it matches my

farmhouse

decor and no one will notice so I did what I said they ended up making two so I took it outside and used my dremel and cut them out. because I had 26 and another piece of wood all together, now the ends I'm using a piece of solid wood, I was going to use paint sticks and make it like a box, but I have scrap wood and again I was worried that it would fall short because I had a lot of good DIY ideas, so in this video, every time I can substitute something that I know measures perfectly and will work well, you know, with a paint stick because I don't want to cheat in a way that you guys I couldn't recreate it so I make sure to use things that are up to par and can be substituted with a paint stick so don't worry if you see me doing the solid wood and that's another idea for you too.
I hope I can give you some additional inspiration, I mean you can also use scrap wood or the little wooden squares from the dollar

tree

. There are many options. Some people may even want to glue the small blocks high and make the ends. It's totally up to you, but I like to use them. what I have, I have a lot of wood from free scrap wood and my goal is to try to use it all because it was once a little tree guys, so I try to use it, so here you see me cutting two little pieces. on both sides that will leave a little opening for the tissue to come out and now I'm just taking the quart paint sticks and I'm going to measure a brace on the inside because I just used hot glue and By the way guys if you use hot glue with raw wood and want any shot to hold together strongly, you can use a super high quality hot glue like Gorilla glue.
I have heard good things that I have never tried. But use high temperature hot glue it will work great, at least I have had a good experience that way, even when the glue is cheap it still holds together, but you can see I put a dot of wood glue on each of those paintings. It's glued on top and then I glued the straps down so I was sure it would be super strong when we pulled out those scarves, so now I'm going to go ahead and paint it white. I'm just giving this a light coat. I want it to be solid, but you can still tell it's wood, so I'm not going to use putty or anything.
I like the look of the popsicle and I'm going to grab these 1 quart craft sticks and use this. hammer forged oxide-oleum paint that I have and I gave it a coat of spray paint on there because I decided that the ends where they meet I just wanted them to look a little more finished and add a little bit of your you know, fun character because my My decor is

farmhouse

and it's rustic and I thought it would be super cute and here you see me using a marker in gray just to cover the top edges because I didn't want to risk it and put gray paint on it. the white part, so I used a Sharpie pen and that gray pen.
A lot of people asked me where I found it at Walmart. It was with an unusual color set and here I am wearing the little dollar tree beads. I'm painting them black and that's it, I love this. For this next DIY you will need the large 5 gallon paint sticks and you will cut them to 17 inches and mine is already spray painted white. I do that because I'm using the lab like I mentioned before and it comes in different colors, it's redwood, sometimes it comes in a light wood that looks like pine, sometimes it comes in red, so just to keep it uniform after I cut them. just give it a really quick coat of spray paint and then I used a little bit of wood glue to stick it on and I'm going to staple the back to hold it together and yeah guys it's that simple so I'm just adding a little bit of white paint along the edge that will be on the outside and on the ends because with spray paint I don't worry too much about that, I just start with a white primer just to get everything smooth and ready. whether to paint it white or dye it somehow and I can make it any color I want and that's it, I have this tape that my wonderful subscribers sent me.
I thought it was perfect for my nautical coastal mermaid bath and we are ready. so don't throw away any of those cut up paint sticks. This is my first DIY involving cut paint sticks that don't have the little bend. I have a few more coming, but I'm taking them now and stacking them all together. a super easy diy and for those of you who are big fans of decorating three tier trays or small shelves, even the first diy I built, any small little shelf for trinkets, this is the perfect little ornament to put on him so you just put them close together and then you put a row of hot glue and I'm using the Walmart twine, which is a little bit thicker.
I think it works a little better for this dollar tree DIY, if you use it. I recommend putting maybe three layers next to each other to make it look really thick it would still look really nice so while the glue is still hot it's dry and it stays together but it's still warm so you have some movement, start moving it slowly. a circular shape, we're going to make a little mini barrel pot, it's going to be totally cute, so I'm going to go slow and make sure to also leave a little bit of twine hanging over the edge because that's going to be the little area that you glue together to attach it. .
I get a lot of questionsabout the spatula I'm holding. I usually have a blue one. I just opened a new one, a pink one, because my hot glue gun put too many. times on the handle and I melted it when I wasn't paying attention, I really get into my crafts guys and that's why it was getting a little rough and uncomfortable to hold, but that's a 100 silicone spatula found in the section of makeup for a dollar. tree is at Walmart it's also on Amazon or on Amazon and it's in my description box under my video. I think you get a set of four or five, but you can find them everywhere and I loved them when I bought it.
I bought it thinking. Oh the hot glue doesn't stick to this because I was using craft sticks and I was ruining them and it was a pain and a waste, such a nice surprise. It doesn't melt and the hot glue comes off immediately so I'm showing you how I cut a foam board in a circle to keep it in a circle and I glued it there and I also put glue on the little seams there to You know, that also helps hold the circular shape together and I usually don't leave it out, but it's a cool little trick and I wanted to show it to you in case some people don't know and I wish my camera didn't.
It goes out of focus but you can still see what I'm doing. I'm not spraying glue right now. I'm just pressing my hot glue gun onto the pre-existing glue. That's out of bounds and it's at low temperature. wipe it with your thumb it won't burn you and that's it you can clean it that way and it works great and of course you'll need more paint sticks and now I'm using the regular gallon paint sticks and I left it in the wrapper it's nice trick and I cut it with the wrapping, it holds up well and you know, clean, you see people tape them up but don't take them out of the package if you have to cut them all. of them and you know you're going to cut them and they cut to about nine and a half and nine inches depending on what brand you use.
I really have to take action because I discovered that not all paint sticks are created equal. They are a little wider, some are a little longer, but more or less indirectly they give or take nine and a half inches, so I ended up using 13 gallon stir sticks, that's how big I wanted my tray and I found it was better to just cut both sides. and one end only to the end of the project that way if you have to make some adjustments sometimes the end you put on the final piece won't match the measurement of the other end and you'll find out because maybe I didn't cut the perfect wood like the little boards perfectly straight, there are small variations so trust me on that, you have to wait until you have it all together by just laying out the sticks and then taking the measurement that way before. you do the final cut, so I'm using the towering little blocks of wood as a base because I want my tray to have that nice edge that looks very expensive and high end and I'm using wood glue and I'm deliberately putting the wood glue on, as you can see along the edge it drips and stays like I swear the seam is for all wood so it will be on the boards I'm putting up from time to time too I'm going to hold the thicker paint sticks of five gallons together and I hope it all makes sense.
I purposely placed it to hold every bit of that wood with the wood glue so we have a really strong, long-lasting hold. I'm using some taller wooden blocks for the legs here, surprisingly they looked better. I tried a few different options and they fit perfectly with the look I was going for and here's a trick I used for Christmas. Guys, I got a lot of positive results. Comments from you, you could use a dollar tree cutting board. I don't have real handles. If you have some metal handles, that would be great. I can't find any faux leather from the dollar tree.
Guys, I wish I could my dollar tree. It's so boring there's no faux leather tape so when I can't find it I cheat it and surprisingly these containers work wonders for faux metal. They are incredible. You should go back and look at my milk. Can I make milk at Christmas and is it? the best fake mango I've ever seen in a melted can in my opinion but that was a surprise to you guys it was a last minute I'm going to try this and it worked great so I cut up some fake mangoes I'm going to put it on just like decoration, you know, we're not actually going to lift the tray with the handles, but it looks very trendy right now and I wanted to do that and now I'm just using some smart craft acrylic. paint I love that paint, it's one coat just to cover everything and here I am using primer, primer kills to paint these big bugs, I should have taken them outside to paint them with spray paint with white primer, it would have been so much easier if it were you .
I know I did the job, but it was a lot harder than it needed to be, so spray paint it if you have white spray paint, you know, primer and I decide where I didn't get the measurements just perfect. I was just being very demanding. Guys I add a little bit of putty in there just to fill it up and level it out because I just want the tray to look really expensive and I'm using a baby wipe just to clean it up and now I'm going to use this water based acrylic stain that I've also talked about before in previous videos and this with a little bit of water, a baby wipe and a brush, I use both methods again, but this one has a much better slip factor on painted paint. dry wood it wasn't when I say slip factor it means it's slippery and it just slides and a little goes a long way so I decided to save my precious old wax for when I need it for raw wood I think I'll stick with the acrylic stain a water based, it is a little viscous.
Last minute decision here was to do two layers but only on every other board to give it a super cute little pattern, it looked so pretty I was inspired by something I saw. Pinterest was all about gray and white but I love the way this tray turned out and now I'm grabbing this faux hammered copper spray paint but if you don't have a collection of metal spray paints get some it makes all the difference and I sprayed those handles and the camera doesn't do them justice they look like metal they came out amazing and I'm showing you this up close because I'm using those little dollar tree pearl beads again that I painted black, but I'm showing you that look when it goes wrong and you think you have all the hot glue everywhere and you're like oh no oh no look how I go ahead and clean this up.
I'm holding it firmly with my finger, but I have these little thin tweezers. I also recommend craft tweezers for fine details because it makes a difference, it makes things look real and expensive versus fake, but watch how I just pick up the glue, remove it and voila, we have a super clean product. finish and this is it and I love this tray so you will never guess what you need for this DIY. You need more paint sticks. I'm using the gallon ones and this one, it doesn't really matter if you have it. those with small curvature or those with a straight top.
I'm just showing you the ones I used and some of the towering dollar tree wood blocks, so I didn't want to bore you by showing you how I glued this together, but it's pretty. Self explanatory, I took two towering blocks of wood and put them in each of the four corners and then I just cut out the paint sticks and glued everything together, but here's the exciting part because I read a comment a while ago on the video from another creator. I shouldn't say a while ago, I think it's been a year, but anyway someone was asking and it got so many likes that it was at the top, you know, I mean, it was inevitable not to see, does anyone know what do with the top? the paint sticks, so I was looking at these and I had a couple of ideas, one of them I thought, you know, they look like little bottles with a little curvature in the corner, so I went ahead and sanded them to accentuate them more. and take it out and now I'm painting them white and while they're drying I'm going to go ahead and give the box a coat of white paint as well, after they've dried I went ahead and started edging them with black paint to give them shape. to get that fake polish look and I'm just using a super super easy sponge and I'm going to do the same thing with the box, you'll see in a minute, I'm just going to edge that with black, that's I think it's more distressing and make it look a little older.
I just didn't want it so clean and bright white. It's not to look like polish or anything, but it matches what I'm going to do. Do this, so using some of these dollar tree stickers, I'm going to spell the word milk on them and make little mini milk bottles, isn't that so cute? Sorry, this was so cute when I was making it. You could also put this on a sign if you wanted, you could make them 3D by gluing four of them together and making a vase, all kinds of possibilities here and I just glue together two salad dressing bottles that I end up taking outside spray on. painting them white and wrapping some twine around the top because it looked better but it turned out so cute it was so simple to make, it's a classic paint stick DIY but what made it extra special is that you didn't have to throw it away on top of your paint sticks, so I have another one for those cut paint sticks, you don't throw them away and a can doesn't throw them away either.
I actually mentioned that in my fourth or fifth video here on YouTube. We will make many crafts with them, they are naturally rustic, they are good for country houses and even for modern decoration. You'd be surprised what you can do with cans because they are cylinder shaped, so store your cans, like you saw me wrap. tape it up, you can use duct tape, you can use any type of duct tape that you know will stay on the can that you're trying to provide, you know, create, sorry, not provide, create a surface that's hot. The glue and the wood will stick together, so I'll take all those little broken pieces and put them around my can and we'll be done with it, so the next step is totally personal.
It depends on you. I'm choosing some colors that have a kind of coastal farmhouse feel because my bathroom is there and I'm making a decor piece for my bathroom. You can choose the colors that you want. Mine is like a baby blue, an aqua green, and a gray, and I'm just going to go and stain each of these little planks a different color, that's it, we're just going to create some. It's surprising how beautiful this DIY ends up turning out. It was one of those DIYs where I didn't really know where I was going. That's probably me with most of my crafts.
I mean, I have some sketches that I make in a sketchbook, but they usually take on a different life once I start crafting. I'm sure many of you can relate to what I'm saying, but I just thought, wow, this would look very, very pretty. Why throw this away? Don't throw anything away. If you seal this with a weatherproof varnish, you could even put this outside as a small pot for one of your herbs. I would recommend hammering. some nails at the bottom for drainage, but they just keep it out of direct rain. I wouldn't put it in direct rain just because it's hot glue with tape, wood and water really don't like each other much. a lot, but it could definitely go out if it's foggy outside and that kind of thing if it's under the porch cover, but now I'm going to go ahead and grab this adhesive, oh my gosh, this is amazing, it's a burlap ribbon, it's like a sticker.
Look how I'm peeling that and I don't know where it came from. It's Walmart, it's probably Walmart Dollar General or Dollar Tree because the subscriber who sent me this sent me a huge box and I'm trying to use it as a way to show my gratitude and she also sent me amazing things guys she's amazing and she doesn't want me say your name, but thank you very much and it's probably from Walmart because you said you shop at those three places, so here it is. a little mermaid locket that I have and I decided that it would be perfect for this craft but I am going to cut the top of that little circle where the chain is because that is not going to look good and it comes off easily no problem and there she is and just We are going to stick it on the front with the burlap ribbon, isn't it so cute?
I love this, it will match my bathroom so well. In fact, I think I'll put it in that. shelf I made that nautical shelf that I showed earlier in this video, it's perfect and then I add some greenery that looks like it or I try to pick some greenery that looks like it's from under the ocean, like an ocean theme and that's it. Guys, I love this, so here's an all-time favorite. You need some five gallon paint sticks, but I'm going to make one because I don't have one, so there are those sinks and you know for this one you don't really need it.
To cut off the top of your paint sticks, I think it actually looks nice. I'm making a small mini staircase. I love them. They are amazing if you live in a small placeas a study or even a bedroom as a corner. table you put it in the corner you lean it against the wall you can hang things on it but one of my favorite things although I am going to use this for small towels is when I see them decorated with mini garlands and mini posters During the seasons, they take the place of almost like a cloak.
If you're in a very small space, you might have to make everything hang miniature, but they are so cute and, believe it or not, I don't do that. I don't have one yet and I wanted one and I end up sealing it with three coats of clear varnish because I don't want the stain to come off so I'm using the water based acrylic stain again mixed with a little bit of black. I paint and I'm just using a baby wipe and I kind of wipe it off now I've learned the hard way guys this looks a lot darker than it's going to come out every time you paint and add water once it dries it goes it comes back really Sure, you'll see it in a minute because I've had to apply up to three coats before, so after years of making, I finally figured out don't freak out if it looks super dark, it has a look, it looks perfect. so remember when you add water you will really get a super dark look and don't be scared about waiting until it dries before you get scared, so anyway just to reinforce this and also for an aesthetic look, I'm taking the tree twine dollar and I just wrap the edges there on the little x.
I think it looks so cute and that's it, it's a simple DIY I just didn't have one and didn't want to skip it because it's a classic paint stick DIY and you can also wrap the thread around the top in the bend area if you use all your five gallon paint stick and you don't want people to know it's a paint stick just wrap the twine where you know it gets dented on the sides and no one will know it's just going to look like a solid piece of wood and that also adds a lot of charm. but that's it and I secure it on the back with a little bit of hot glue and I'm going to take a little bit of heat just to burn off the fluff, that dollar tree yarn is actually really fuzzy so you definitely have to do it.
Clean it up a bit, but this is going into my bathroom to hang small guest towels so guests can have nice clean towels every time. I thought it would be something nice to offer when people come to visit and that's it, I love it. the way this came out and of course for this DIY you will need some of the five gallon paint sticks that are cut to 17 inches and I took six of them and cut another one to make the bottom piece that I'm using. wood glue and hot glue and I'm going to glue one on the top and one on the bottom to make a pallet sign, but again, that's not what's special about this DIY, although the pallet sign is another DIY , you can make paint sticks, but look.
We all cut off those top parts and come on, what do we do with them? This is a great DIY. Guys, I'm going to show you what you can do with them, so today we're going to make a farmhouse windmill sign that I took. The ones on the outside I sprayed again with this forged hammer spray paint and this is what we ended up with now that the centerpiece is part of this is an old DIY video. I'm showing you where I got it from. It is flavored water. so it wasn't sticky at all, it tastes like they steamed the fruit somehow, it has zero calories, zero sugar, it's just bubbly water, but I cut the can with gloves and that was left over, like I said, I don't throw anything away, so I had this beautiful little round dome shape that was going to be perfect for a windmill and now I'm just using the nutmeg color, it's one of my favorite Apple Barrel colors for faux rust and I'm just going to rust these little ones of wood. pieces just everything I'm just going to mess it up and rest it and make it look nice and rustic so I love nutmeg for fake rust but just to give it a little bit more definition and make these little blades look old and distressed, I'm using the apple barrel burnt umber color to go around the edges and make things look a little bit darker just a little bit more definition and a little bit more, you know, I guess distressing or aged, you know, those Windmills really get dirty and rusty outside so I was just trying to make it look legit guys and this is what we ended up with so far so make sure you get them all on your board before you commit to gluing because they want everything to be nice and uniform, and I.
I wanted the center to rise a little so the solution I came up with was to use a wooden dollar tree bead, glue it on and then glue the middle on top of that and that worked perfect guys, it gave it an amazing 3D effect , so I'm also using dollar tree skewers. You saw me dye them, they were just diluted burnt umber and I recommend you measure them individually because I cut them all the same size and then I found out that even though it looks like there were even little subtle differences so you have to go one by one and cut each one so you know it fits well and is tucked in.
You can also use a dollar tree token like the one in the token game if you don't have one in the middle of that can, that would work if you turn it upside down, any round shape in the center will work well and using some of the templates in the dollar tree, I'll go ahead, take my pencil, trace and spell life on the farm. Better yet, it is actually a craft inspired by the interest of a pen. I don't have a photo anymore, but I remember seeing something on Pinterest. I'm always on pinterest and I lose track of where I saw things but I think I mean it was being sold on etsy or I'm not sure I saw it on pinterest but well something similar didn't say the same thing it said something else there is lots of them on pinterest guys, but i always wanted one.
I love this. After I took a photo to show you everything, I hung it in my living room, so most of us have probably seen this little farmhouse console at some point and I thought, wouldn't it be cute if I made one? I'm going to use those one gallon paint sticks and some regular one gallon paint sticks with a little curve and some five gallon paint sticks, some quart paint sticks aka big craft sticks and I started because now I'm running. Lacking paint sticks, I started using these shims that I bought from Lowe's and someone came, thank you very much, a long time ago, a subscriber came and said, hey, if you stick them in the opposite direction, it will be perfect. a small paint stick takes the place of that, so again it's the same width as the gallon paint stick.
I'm just using my wedges because I don't want to come up short just for the bottom part of this craft. I'm also using some of the furring strip there because I bought 20 of them guys they're cheap they're a good deal now if you don't have a furring strip no problem just stick three of them on I mean if you want that be the same. The thickness is three of the five gallon paint sticks, just glue them together like I glued the shims. If you don't want them as thick, you can glue two together and probably get away with it, but we're making the little legs and since I have the furring strip, you know, I want to use what I have, but everything can be done with paint sticks and, of course, Of course, I'm just measuring now and at the end I'll give you the measurements of my little console table. takes up space like anything else a one tier tray a riser even a two tier tray this is a place to store your little trinkets your little fun any miniature you make anything inside can hold some of your craft materials can hold spices in a kitchen, oh my goodness this would make such a cute spice rack just for those spices you use all the time.
You know, I have some that I rarely reach for, but there are some that I reach for all the time and this is perfect for that. Now there's a little trick I was doing. I grabbed those one gallon craft sticks or one gallon paint sticks. Oh no, sorry, they're from a paint quart, they're for epoxies and stuff, that's what they are, but we call them big crafts. sticks and measured them by lifting them up and placing them on top of each other until I could count how many I needed and place them evenly. I just needed to know how many I needed to cut, so if you need to rewind it, go ahead, but that's a great way to figure out how many you need to cut ahead of time and then I just grabbed some hot glue.
Everything will be secured with wood glue underneath as well, but I initially took hot glue on a high setting, you know, on a high setting. It's a high temperature hot glue and I'm using it to put this all together initially and on the top I didn't cut them at all. Those are the gallon paint stripping sticks that I have that they don't have. that little curve at the end if you have that curve at the end you would have to modify the measurements on this but it was such a cute idea guys I was so excited when I thought of this that I wanted to do it for about eight months but then the holidays came and I didn't have time , but I had been wanting one of these for a long time.
This is another one of those crafts. When I finished, it gave me joy. I looked at this and thought, oh. OMG you're cute, you're so cute, so I do it on the sides at the bottom, you know, I put a side piece like you saw here in the front, I just do the front and the back, I like the way which looks a little rough. on the sides so as not to cover that and I'm using wig glue of course to help everything stay together and then we're going to use this old folk art wax home decor and this time I'm going to craft smarter, definitely water this down and I use it with a brush and it works perfect, in fact I think I did this right after I did the first DIY, that tall bookcase with the faux galvanized metal behind it and the little roof terrace I had as a birdhouse.
I did it. right after because I had already diluted it and diluted it, so I thought, oh, I better take this little table and do it now. I'm just taking the apple barrel paint pavement color and adding some distressing along the edges to do it. It looks like a real small farm table. I love how this turned out. Guys, I'm still thinking about where I want to put it now. I'm thinking about the kitchen for my spices. I would love to hear your comments. If you have some ideas, by the way, there are the measurements, that is, the height, width and depth, which I show you in case you want to recreate this, but that's it, you and I love it if you enjoyed this video .
