We wanted to make sure that the car runs robustly in all weather conditions and also on the track, the DCT transmission operates in a relatively narrow temperature range, the lubricant inside the dct must be kept in very specific temperature windows, it is not very tolerant of very high temperatures and lubricants, so we need to make sure we have the most robust cooling possible, so we tested several meshes. settings and we found that they restricted airflow so we also tested without them and yes, like any car or almost any car, you can get the fins on the heat exchangers bent and that gives you the stone chip look.

Ours is a little more visible because it is closer behind the

grill

than most cars, but if you look at most cars, especially the ones with open grills, you can see that the radiator is in the same condition, but In our tests it shows no degradation. of thermal performance, so we're not going to put that grill there right now, so I've heard people express concern that they don't like the look, so we're trying to explore to see if there's anything else we can do. That does not undesirably reduce cooling performance. Maybe we'll find something, but I can't suggest, I can't promise that right now, so there are other aftermarket companies that offer that. and some of them don't, obviously we can't test them all, uh, and we don't take it upon ourselves to test them, uh, but we keep an eye on what's going on out there and, for a lot of people, honestly, if you don't live in a climate environment really hot if you don't track your car and would like to have extra protection, although we can't offer it, there are probably some aftermarket grille meshes that would be acceptable, however, if you put them on your car and you overheat, that won't be our responsibility, that it won't be GM's responsibility so there you have it guys above there could be warranty implications if they put some aftermarket stuff in the center grease but this.
