Why You HAVE TO Visit the TURKISH RIVIERA! | FETHIYE, OLUDENIZ and ANTALYA | Turkey

Apr 14, 2024
The waterfalls could dry out a bit. Let's see what we can see today! I looked at recent photos and there was no waterfall! We'll see. I

have

hope, even if it is a small dribble. It's nice to be out of the city. Oh yeah, we've been in the city for too long so it's nice to be out in nature and I'm sure we'll enjoy it today! There's definitely more water coming out than I imagined! I wasn't expecting anything more than the slightest trickle.  It's actually not that bad! You can also come right under it, so you can imagine that when this is in full effect, it's really cool to be behind it like this.

The whole area is beautiful, like a really pretty forest, with moss everywhere and green everywhere. It's lovely. Do you know what reminds me of that waterfall? It's like somewhere in the Huasteca of Mexico. It's really beautiful here and very peaceful too! There are no tour groups which is really good! I love it! It's just us! Definitely a good place to spend an hour, maybe 2 hours. There are some small trails around, some bridges and waterfalls. There is a cafeteria here.  Especially if you

have

a car, it is easy to get to from Antalya. Public transportation, you can do it.

It cost us less than a pound to get here. Pretty easy and straightforward, so I definitely recommend doing it. In fact, today we are going to form a small triangle. We have reached the Kursunlu waterfalls and now we are going down to the ancient city of Perge, which is another place on the outskirts of Antalya that is quite popular to do as a day trip. And again you can get from Kursunlu to there by bus and then hopefully we can take the tram from there to there back to the city. Let's take a bus! Wow! Another ancient city!

Here we are. Perge was an ancient Greek city that is now famous for its Roman ruins. It was also supposed to be one of the most important places for the construction of sculptures and sculptures in ancient times. Many interesting artifacts were probably found here. They also have a really huge theater that could hold up to 15,000 people! Crazy yeah, I can't wait to see it because we've already seen quite a bit on this trip. I think that's the theme here in Türkiye with these ancient ruins, all the amphitheatres. It's also much less busy than Ephesus! It seems like we have the whole place to ourselves.

There is only one tour bus outside, but I think since the place is so big, it won't feel as crowded. We had fun walking around the old city, but the highlight was definitely the stadium and theater. The stadium would have been used for chariot races and other events, and the theater was as impressive as some of the others we have seen in Turkey. It's definitely a cool place to go if you're in Antalya. As we said, much less crowded than Ephesus. Ah yes, impressive! It's really like a lot of the city, you can still see it, so you can get an idea of the actual layout of the city.
