Why Cinderella III Worked

Mar 07, 2024
It's not a mistake that Disney sequels suck and that's something we've already established on my channel several times. The stories pretty much go nowhere and had no meaning other than money to begin with, but at least they have more. artistic value than most live action remakes as sequels and of course there are some that really stand out as well as Cinderella 3. a film considered by the public to be the best sequel that Disney has ever produced, which I am also with OK. Now, I don't think it's the best either, but it belongs in the upper echelon of the director's DVD sequels because he actually had something to say and that's really surprising for the most part, that Cinderella was the only Disney property to have ran Beyond its original with great success, I say mostly because I actually hate Cinderella too.
why cinderella iii worked
I do not care what you say. I never liked it as a kid and I still don't like it as an adult either and Cinderella 3 is kind of like that. It also made the movie useless so it doesn't add to the timeline at all like most of the DVD's directed, anyway by redoing the Anastasia Arc and not focusing on Jacques becoming human and I hate that this movie It just sucks, but beyond that, Cinderella continues to prove to be the success that saves Disney in the most dire of situations, from the original that kept the studio afloat to saving the reputation of Disney sequels in the modern era. and create the best live-action remake ever.

More Interesting Facts About,

why cinderella iii worked...

I mean, everything about Cinderella 3 really gets better. What was really missing from Wise's story from the original film, especially his characters like Prince Charming and Anastasia, who were practically non-existent because the focus was on Cinderella and mainly the mice, for some reason, which worries you quite a bit in the early days of Disney. Most of their princesses, except Philip, in my opinion, didn't have real characters to focus on the princesses, which I guess was because of what they were focusing on at the time and they were happy to at least see that we can have something in these stories that acknowledge those thoughts and try to add something to their characters that wasn't there, this is something I expressed in my review of the live action movie that made it work and its story made it stand out even more than This Movie Gives Way to his choices as a character and the best betrayal of him to date, but I still love the direction Cinderella took in taking Prince Charming's story and adding it to this world of the original film, plus where else are you going? to get Disney Animation's best scene if not for this, today I just wanted to focus on why Cinderella 3 works as a story that really adds something that the original movie didn't have to say. and as a Disney sequel that many others don't understand or don't really want to see because this movie seems to address the main concerns that people originally had with the original movie which lacked any sense of big story that this and the other live action movie is given in more detail and is done through this use of time-bending where it starts over at the end of the first film as if they were rewriting it to give other characters who were practically non-existent a second chance to be explored and yes, also rewrite the fact that Cinderella 2 existed because it sucks.
why cinderella iii worked
The beginning already shows that their life is perfect with the prince doing things a year after the events of the film or the mice and Fairy Godmother are planning a picnic to celebrate. their first anniversary and then we cut to Lady Tremaine and her daughters, where her daughters now have to complete the path that Cinderella had, where emphasis is placed on the character of Anastasia, who to some may see this as her own story rather than the from Cinderella because we already know her story, one of the interesting things they do with the sequels is make Anastasia's character more sympathetic and not just a snobbish stepbrother and I think it adds something else instead of just being designed as a stepsister ugly like the rest of her family.
why cinderella iii worked
She just hates Cinderella for being beautiful and wanting to find her own love in life and I really believe that she is the true protagonist of the story, as many have said, established by this song that she sings to focus on that, where I also like the fact that she is voiced by Daisy Duck's voice actor and it is through the fairy godmother's ignorant clumsiness that Anastasia manages to contribute to the plot of the story when she is introduced to her family, where we get this funny line through of her sister, oh, let's beat her. By this I mean that it was obvious that they never wanted Drizella to have a character arc or development in these films, so they just stuck with her as a sadist who was voiced by Minnie Mouse herself, the late Russy Taylor, who also voiced to a fairy godmother in this one. movie that comes in and really changes Lady Tremaine's mind about the stick and that Anastasia was talking about, where I would also like to add that she is voiced by Wanda's voice actor from Fairly Odd Parents, which sets things in motion when Anastasia accidentally turns the Fairy Godmother into stone. the chance to start over after her humiliating defeat and the best thing about this is how they show Fortunes reversal from the first movie when she reverses time for them, the moment that appears at the end of the first movie she is now being physically torn apart . them constantly and portrayed with this Green Cloud which represents the envy Lady Tremaine always had for Cinderella and brings it back to that same ending with Cinderella still locked up and with a wand to make this slipper hit Anastasia instead of trying to turn her. in its main focus. of this movie, since she is the one who really wants love and affection, while the other two are just in it for themselves, this leads us to reintroduce Cinderella at the moment she was supposed to escape in the original and Trying to put it on was too much. later, when Lady Tremaine already used the for her own desires by destroying the slippers, although she couldn't prove that she was the real one anyway and this scene is nice to show that they wanted to spend more time to focus specifically on the character of her while they scored.
The lights go back a little more in the original, they really take up a lot of screen time, which prevents it from being a great story where through this song he establishes his determination and character as the one who made the connection with the prince and allowed him a chance to prove her worth by being treated as worthless by her own stepmother. This also reintroduces us to characters introduced in the second film like Prudence, who of course still doesn't know Cinderella at this point and established what she was like before, which is a nice touch that they acknowledged the second film, but overall it makes her character feels useless and the movie itself, because this movie just undid everything, but beyond that is where we are finally reintroduced to the biggest character in the movie, Prince Charming, fencing with his dad and like the beginning the best of this part is that they gave him more character by having his lines at the moment they introduce him because in the original they only had him sing part of the song that Cinderella sang and only a few lines. talk to Cinderella before leaving and that was basically it, the original just used them as a plot point instead of an actual character where now they were given all the characters that literally overshadowed everyone in this movie, even Cinderella herself , not to say it was It's not a bad thing or to take away anything from what they built with the others like Anastasia and Cinderella because I said that the development of them as real protagonists of the film was very appreciated, but I find it great that it was that they did what minimum. interesting character from the original film into the most interesting character, something that, surprisingly, the live-action remake's balance dealt with both the kit and Ella's character arcs that made that film a better story than the original itself, but getting back to the point, this scene establishes what the prince is.
That connected him to Cinderella from the original, the point of finding true love and actually showing us for the first time his mother through painting how his parents' love really connected him to finding his own love in his life. than the original type. of disgust due to his stubbornness to marry someone, it's scenes like this that make the original film's decisions stand out more because he chose to show us what he wanted instead of simply being the object of Cinderella's freedom and desire. of the King of having grandchildren and showing us that it wasn't just a suitable glass slipper to be the important piece in finding his love;
It was also cool to know that the guy who voiced him was also the voice of Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid and Spider-Man. from Series 94 so you can see that they chose him as an established authority on how to make a prince stand out, that's not to say that I think Spider-Man is the reason they chose, I mean, print, Prince Eric It's the one you know what I am. I mean because when he finally gets the chance to see the woman he loves, he immediately makes the observation that Anastasia is not her. He explains how he expected someone else to claim that probably more than one person actually fits the shoe and actually shows what I said before. having a real connection when he saw Cinderella for the first time and the time they spent dancing together, we now know that he knows exactly who she was with and not some random ugly girl wearing a glass slipper, no offense to Anastasia, he just did it. does better for his character and explores his personality to show Lady Tremaine that not everything with a wand is an easy victory, where she has to force a spell to believe that Anastasia was the one he danced with, which convinces him to propose to Anastasia. . and get married on the same night, this leads us to Cinderella meeting the prince again for the first time, convinced that he will remember her by looking at her without knowing that she is under a spell, confusing her in the initial conversation.
It is also through this that we learned. The spell's effects are not as strong as initially thought when he makes it clear that he intends to marry the girl he danced with, but he also shows something through his eyes to suggest that he somehow knows she is the one. indicated, but the spell is too much. strong enough to resist it completely, he leaves her heart broken again, but the mice were also there at the scene and are able to tell Cinderella that Lady Tremaine put a spell on him to force him to marry Anastasia. I like this because it shows how They are focusing a lot on them as characters and the important role they have without generally intruding into the story like the original because the story really focuses too much on them and Lucifer, where they should have killed him in that scene at the end. of the movie, but it doesn't really matter, she did what she had to do at the time and we should be grateful for this movie that actually makes her stronger overall, this brings us back to spending time with Anastasia being introduced to the King. after the whole crazy sequence that ruins the reception room, which is very important to her story in the end, as we'll see, because this is the moment where the movie tries to recreate the dance with Anastasia, instead it shows that Anastasia never really dances with the prince and contradicts everything the prince believes since she danced elegantly with onarella the night before where he says something like this I will never forget when I touched your hand for the first time, this shows us more how the spell doesn't it's really working and it takes us back to the moment. where he saw Cinderella again, how it looks on her face that something feels wrong when he touches Anastasia, he doesn't feel anything with her and it really adds another layer to how he connected with Cinderella that night because we clearly see it on stage.
I'm making so many mistakes by stepping on his foot when they tried to move and that was something that never happened during that night, but at least it's still easily forgivable in his heart, where you can see that he has respect for Anastasia beyond the spell itself, that It's actually something that warms your own heart to see someone give you so much compassion that you never experienced in your life being around her or her stuck-up sister and cold-hearted mother, but of course, looking down on Anastasia feeling like she has a connection with him, we cut back to the prince who then tells the Grand Duke that he felt nothing when he touched her hand despite knowing that he was already dancing with her and then of course we cut to the king chatting with his future daughter-in-law about her abilities are terrible but also similar.
For his own wife, the painting we see actually shows us that she is very similar to Anastasia in terms of dancing ability and of course hair color, showing us that it is always more than meets the eye that matters. and something that comes from the deepest part of the heart that he connected with. This shows us what the movie was trying to do.teach us in terms of love that comes from within instead of without, where he gives her a seashell that he and his wife found and how they both found it together by tying it to the touch of the hand from where you can find true love he gives to Anastasia New Hope showing that someone like her can find love despite knowing that the touch of his hand was never for her but for Cinderella knowing what it really means in that situation is how she believes he could be loved by her instead of the powers of magic because that is what she believes is most important to her life as her mother and sister do not understand the use of magic as a way to achieve her pettiest desires and because of this arrogance she allows Cinderella Returns. to enter and steals the wand before she can complete her objective, but of course she is caught, but not before meeting the prince again to remind him of something she already felt and the spell she is under, she then shows his doubts moving away from what he believed, knowing that there is something about the girl that stands out and questioning the motives of the tremaines as Cinderella is set. on a ship outside the Kingdom and thinking about her entire sequence brings up a major complaint I have about this movie because why didn't she use the wand to fix things in the moment since it all started in the sequence because she put it? him under spell like Cinderella could reverse things on the spot if she just said deep bibbidi-bobb because that's how it works for anyone or yeah what's up with Lady Tremaine just using Anastasia to dance better or solve her problems much easier through magic like?
There are so many ways they could use the one they just didn't use, it's just that using a magic wand makes things a lot more complicated than necessary and it's something I could never overcome in this movie, but that's okay, considering what he wanted to show us. In the story anyway, this makes things worse in the prince's mind because he starts talking to the bluebirds and mice about how to find the truth, which he actually does when they explain to him in a song everything that has happened, which, surprisingly, he actually understands despite the absurdity of the situation knowing the connection he made with both girls and when they finally bring back the broken glass slipper that somehow I assume animals that size can fix, he finally does. convinces him to find it and brings out the best scene in the movie. where the king thinks he's going crazy where he does this absolutely hilarious slide down the railing to chase his son and of course it doesn't end there because it takes us to the most infamous scene we all know to make his Great Escape I.
I Forbid You To Go Down one more step up these stairs. Well they really knew what they were doing by making this movie which showed us how much they were willing to take their character to the absolute next level where he escapes on horseback and the King actually accepts because he really understands what matters in his heart which we discussed with Anastasia before, then it shows us racing against the clock to stop the ship and find Cinderella, where it also produces this funny scene that is so stupid and looking back at something like this, I'm just amazed at how far they were willing to take their character to newer, funnier heights that didn't exist in the first film and made him the funniest in the entire film.
Up to this point, of course, we're looking back at the scene. with the touch of the hand he finally breaks the spell and allows them to return to the events of the film. As we can see up to this point, this movie works very well with the original story to finally give it some personality and meaning that the characters generally break Tremaine's plans once again, where Anastasia realizes that he never saw her. loved and now forces Lady Tremaine to dress up as Cinderella, as we see when she prepares for the wedding once again thinking that this is the costume that would work. they send her to a pumpkin, but this time, unlike the first movie, it's not fancy, instead it has a disgusting one commanded by Lucifer himself to lead them to their death, in my opinion, it's very poetic for this movie, but Of course he's a bad kitty so it doesn't matter and they try to go back in time to stop the wedding and it's done once and for all, then he sees us back at the wedding where Anarella talks to the king asking if he can and finds love with touch. of a hand selling in this doubt of being loved because she is someone who is not tied to what she wants for herself instead of her mother who controls all her decisions, the scene then develops where Cinderella rushes and you continue watching to Anastasia. her face is not at all happy with the situation in which the lady gets angry and desperate for her to say yes, we are in this moment because of the touch of her hand with the prince that he really knows that this is not Cinderella, you see in her surprised face that relates to how it is not just the exterior that counts or even though she looks like her in every way, she is still not Cinderella and finally confirms that by saying that I do not have this suspicion, this leads the king to arrest the lady.
Tremaine interzella after the real Cinderella comes into view before turning all the guards into animals and attempts to do so with Cinderella and her own daughter before being reflected by the prince's sword and sending them to the basement as toads, this of course ends things for the best where it once again allows our two lovebirds to reconnect and Anastasia reveals herself in a similar way to how the Fairy Godmother did with Cinderella's dress, showing an important moment to highlight who we are really as characters and doing the same to restore Cinderella's dress and reunite the Fairy Godmother again, this leads to a touching conversation with the king in Anastasia, where she tries to return to prove that he gave her knowing that nothing she She really earned it, but then of course he claims that she deserves the chance too. giving us this big hug that suffocates is that anyone deserves the opportunity to find love no matter who you are, you can achieve it despite looking a certain way and of course this ends things for the better where the Fairy Godmother allows you to live this new ending happy instead of returning them to the beginning of the movie to live happily ever after, finally ending the movie on a good note where the credits end giving us a glimpse where he meets Baker for the second time, where not all was lost and then of course , finally ending things where Lady and Drizella become friends, leaving them with the worst punishment they know in their lives.
All in all, Cinderella 3 is the strongest film in this trilogy because the Showcase is what you can do with the characters. who weren't the main focuses of the original incarnations, but were done in a way that improves them without ruining them and that's why this movie

worked

better than any other DVD or directed sequel Disney has ever produced. Cinderella is just a story that shows how a lot of what they can do from before has

worked

and it's the only one that managed to get it right every time and almost ruled out Cinderella too and that's why I liked it and rank it higher on the level of sequel content and the lesson we should Everything you learn from here and movies like this is the way Disney can deliver great storytelling, but it all comes down to a question of are they willing to do it and if they don't then Of course everyone will fail as they have in modern times with all that being said I'm done so goodbye
