Why Cinderella III Worked

It's not a mistake that Disney sequels suck and that's something we've already established on my channel several times. The stories pretty much go nowhere and had no meaning other than money to begin with, but at least they have more. artistic value than most live action remakes as sequels and of course there are some that really stand out as well as Cinderella 3. a film considered by the public to be the best sequel that Disney has ever produced, which I am also with OK. Now, I don't think it's the best either, but it belongs in the upper echelon of the director's DVD sequels because he actually had something to say and that's really surprising for the most part, that Cinderella was the only Disney property to have ran Beyond its original with great success, I say mostly because I actually hate Cinderella too.

I do not care what you say. I never liked it as a kid and I still don't like it as an adult either and Cinderella 3 is kind of like that. It also made the movie useless so it doesn't add to the timeline at all like most of the DVD's directed, anyway by redoing the Anastasia Arc and not focusing on Jacques becoming human and I hate that this movie It just sucks, but beyond that, Cinderella continues to prove to be the success that saves Disney in the most dire of situations, from the original that kept the studio afloat to saving the reputation of Disney sequels in the modern era. and create the best live-action remake ever.

I mean, everything about Cinderella 3 really gets better. What was really missing from Wise's story from the original film, especially his characters like Prince Charming and Anastasia, who were practically non-existent because the focus was on Cinderella and mainly the mice, for some reason, which worries you quite a bit in the early days of Disney. Most of their princesses, except Philip, in my opinion, didn't have real characters to focus on the princesses, which I guess was because of what they were focusing on at the time and they were happy to at least see that we can have something in these stories that acknowledge those thoughts and try to add something to their characters that wasn't there, this is something I expressed in my review of the live action movie that made it work and its story made it stand out even more than This Movie Gives Way to his choices as a character and the best betrayal of him to date, but I still love the direction Cinderella took in taking Prince Charming's story and adding it to this world of the original film, plus where else are you going? to get Disney Animation's best scene if not for this, today I just wanted to focus on why Cinderella 3 works as a story that really adds something that the original movie didn't have to say. and as a Disney sequel that many others don't understand or don't really want to see because this movie seems to address the main concerns that people originally had with the original movie which lacked any sense of big story that this and the other live action movie is given in more detail and is done through this use of time-bending where it starts over at the end of the first film as if they were rewriting it to give other characters who were practically non-existent a second chance to be explored and yes, also rewrite the fact that Cinderella 2 existed because it sucks.

The beginning already shows that their life is perfect with the prince doing things a year after the events of the film or the mice and Fairy Godmother are planning a picnic to celebrate. their first anniversary and then we cut to Lady Tremaine and her daughters, where her daughters now have to complete the path that Cinderella had, where emphasis is placed on the character of Anastasia, who to some may see this as her own story rather than the from Cinderella because we already know her story, one of the interesting things they do with the sequels is make Anastasia's character more sympathetic and not just a snobbish stepbrother and I think it adds something else instead of just being designed as a stepsister ugly like the rest of her family.

She just hates Cinderella for being beautiful and wanting to find her own love in life and I really believe that she is the true protagonist of the story, as many have said, established by this song that she sings to focus on that, where I also like the fact that she is voiced by Daisy Duck's voice actor and it is through the fairy godmother's ignorant clumsiness that Anastasia manages to contribute to the plot of the story when she is introduced to her family, where we get this funny line through of her sister, oh, let's beat her. This also reintroduces us to characters introduced in the second film like Prudence, who of course still doesn't know Cinderella at this point and established what she was like before, which is a nice touch that they acknowledged the second film, but overall it makes her character feels useless and the movie itself, because this movie just undid everything, but beyond that is where we are finally reintroduced to the biggest character in the movie, Prince Charming, fencing with his dad and like the beginning the best of this part is that they gave him more character by having his lines at the moment they introduce him because in the original they only had him sing part of the song that Cinderella sang and only a few lines. talk to Cinderella before leaving and that was basically it, the original just used them as a plot point instead of an actual character where now they were given all the characters that literally overshadowed everyone in this movie, even Cinderella herself , not to say it was It's not a bad thing or to take away anything from what they built with the others like Anastasia and Cinderella because I said that the development of them as real protagonists of the film was very appreciated, but I find it great that it was that they did what minimum. interesting character from the original film into the most interesting character, something that, surprisingly, the live-action remake's balance dealt with both the kit and Ella's character arcs that made that film a better story than the original itself, but getting back to the point, this scene establishes what the prince is.

There are so many ways they could use the one they just didn't use, it's just that using a magic wand makes things a lot more complicated than necessary and it's something I could never overcome in this movie, but that's okay, considering what he wanted to show us. In the story anyway, this makes things worse in the prince's mind because he starts talking to the bluebirds and mice about how to find the truth, which he actually does when they explain to him in a song everything that has happened, which, surprisingly, he actually understands despite the absurdity of the situation knowing the connection he made with both girls and when they finally bring back the broken glass slipper that somehow I assume animals that size can fix, he finally does. convinces him to find it and brings out the best scene in the movie. where the king thinks he's going crazy where he does this absolutely hilarious slide down the railing to chase his son and of course it doesn't end there because it takes us to the most infamous scene we all know to make his Great Escape I.

Well they really knew what they were doing by making this movie which showed us how much they were willing to take their character to the absolute next level where he escapes on horseback and the King actually accepts because he really understands what matters in his heart which we discussed with Anastasia before, then it shows us racing against the clock to stop the ship and find Cinderella, where it also produces this funny scene that is so stupid and looking back at something like this, I'm just amazed at how far they were willing to take their character to newer, funnier heights that didn't exist in the first film and made him the funniest in the entire film.
