is an outcome uh passion um you know, we're all passionate, we're just not all passionate about the same things and we will feel what we call passion when we are involved in something that is deeply personal to us. That helps us advance some higher purpose or cause, so when we go to work, what we experience is passion, but if you force us to do something that we feel no personal connection to, that doesn't help promote any kind of ideal. bigger than what we now feel is stress passionate people work long hours they don't come home they miss their families they go on business trips they don't sleep and it still seems worth it stressed people go on business trips they miss their families They work long hours they don't sleep but they don't feel it's worth it passion is a result, not an input, like stress is a result, not an input, so no, you can't do what you're passionate about, find something that creates you and what you will experience is passion, then the question arises: how can I find what I believe in?

I think society, especially our society and especially for a younger generation, overwhelmingly pressures us to have a vision, what is your vision? find your blessing all these are all the same true and the problem is that not all of us are visionaries it is unfair it is an unfair standard that is like telling everyone to be creative but not all of us are creative nor are we all good at math but not all of us are good In mathematics, not all of us are visionaries, only a small percentage of our population is really visionary, it is not necessary to have a vision, you have to find a vision, right?

If you listen to Martin Luther King say that I have a dream in which one day the Black kids will hold hands on the playground with white kids, you go, that's what I want, you choose to follow Dr. King when you hear the words of visionaries and if they appeal to you on some visceral level, you'll take them. dan. They give you goosebumps, they make you excited, they make you want to sacrifice, be a part of this, stand in line to hear them pay money, whatever it is, follow that so that your vision takes it and says that's my vision too .

You can take someone else's vision and make it a reality. Yours that is what we call followers is that we have taken the vision of the visionary and we have chosen to follow that vision we ourselves are followers that is good there is no difference between the visionary and the follower we both see ourselves in the service of something greater than ourselves , whether you are the creator of that idea or not, it is irrelevant what you do is feed the passion what you do is feed the conviction so we don't have to have a vision but we do have to find one and that's why read books, watch talks from Ted, read articles be in life watch videos you know go out search find listen listen to corporate political leaders whoever and when something resonates with you, even if you don't know why, then you can embrace and take responsibility for using your own talent your own gifts to help move forward whatever that cause is right so I have a cause I have a very clear vision of the world I want to live in I imagine a world in which the vast majority of people wake up every morning inspired They feel safe at work and come home fulfilled at the end of the day.

The gift I have given myself to help advance that cause is the ability to put some of these ideas into words that other people can relate to. When you do a puzzle, the first thing you do is know it. What you need to do is lean the box against the wall, right, we all have a piece of the puzzle to help build this vision. My piece of the puzzle is that I'm the guy pointing at the box, but I'm not the guy building the business. because there are other people who are better at it entrepreneurs and business leaders I want them to adopt the same image in the box people who work for companies who say I want to work for a company that does that that's their piece who is a natural leader talented who cares we all have at least one friend who for some reason loves us and cares for us even when we are horrible people who for some reason still believe in us and see the good in us, that's their part of the puzzle and that's why we have to compromise our gifts, the reason they call them gifts is because they are forgiving, that's what gifts are, they are forgiving if you have a gift, it's not something you take, it's something you give, so I think we have to find a vision and commit our gifts to help advance that vision and great leaders are those who can express that vision in words so clear that we can then recite that vision as if it were our own.
