Vander Griff's c76 from Tyson video and I wanted to talk to you all briefly about this and summarize what happened during this build and, uh, the ins and outs of the car as well as the customer, so Tyson is from Oklahoma, He called us. It's probably been a year, I'll just say Carter was at another shop, he's a performance guy, he just never had a car in the type of caliber he wanted, so the car was in another possibility of being

built

, I guess they tried a pair. Long story short, I had problems with it, the car wouldn't run, the car was broken, something was wrong and we don't like to accept cars from other shops, especially when they are smashed to pieces or, in your case, B had bought a bunch of parts new and had them all assembled and was having another shop build what he had and then tried to go even further, we try to do this every day for a living, we know which parts work and which don't.

More Interesting Facts About,

we built him a monster 1300 c7 z06 corvette...

It doesn't work, so we try to install the parts that we know work, tried and true, so there's nothing in the future. We have reliability issues, but the client in the Tyson case was a very nice guy who called me on the phone when I first spoke to him and I could hear it in his voice uh again I've been doing this for a long time. I can tell when people are just done with their car like they spent so much money on these cars and this is a hobby for most people and it kills me to think that someone who can afford to go play with the car, but they're so tired of it that they don't even want to do it anymore, they're just looking for a different hobby, so I can say that's where he was and I was like, You know, Tyson, bring me the car, we'll make it work in a way. or another and we'll get you the car you want, so first he took it to a distiller to store the engine and the goal was just to get it done quickly. fix whatever is wrong with him, let him take it while we build a big internal combustion engine for him, he could bring it back for big horsepower.

Long story short, we sat here, we had to redo a bunch of wiring in the car, we fixed a bunch. of stuff to get it going, let's get it started in the frame, the original engine was locked up from the start, so go ahead, we had to wait about three months until the Lme engine was finally built, we got it, it's a man. It's an amazing LME bullet. This thing is a 427 cubic inch engine. Good camshaft. Very nice cylinder heads. Everything you can throw at these cars, Tyson had already bought most of the parts, some were right, some were wrong, but for the most part he had a lot of the key components in there and when we first got this going we just It weighed about 17 pounds. of boost generated over 1.00 rear horsepower, which just goes to show how efficient that engine is.

Obviously, the engine is a large air pump. The more air you can put in, the more air you can get out, the more horsepower it makes, the more efficient it is. it's the least boost you need to make horsepower so to make over 1.00 with 17 pounds of boost is super impressive compared to say a stock lt4 engine with 17 pounds of boost it might be about 950 , maybe 1,000 rear horsepower, depending on the heads and intake and blah blah blah, so we didn't stop there. Tyson said, man, let's go ahead and increase the boost and get over 1200, so we increase the boost a little more and get to 12, I don't even know. over 1,200 rear horsepower is more than enough for now and I was even talking about putting nitrous on it and stuff and just before, this was a couple weeks ago we had, I don't even remember what tires it had, it wasn't like that.
I had a nice full 15 inch conversion, or I had a 20 inch Toyo that was really worn out, uh, that was old, or I had an 18 with an ET Street, but it was completely bald and I actually went out and tried it. this car and the amount of horsepower and torque this thing makes. I was white, going from 50 to, I'll say, 150 on the track, one time late at night and it was hard for me to drive it let alone what you're doing. I'm about to watch this video when Mr. Tyson shows up to drive his car for the first time because he's never experienced the kind of performance and horsepower of the vehicle we built him, so his reaction, some people think it's funny, but it's true.
Reaction to someone that if you have never experienced what a 1200 rear horsepower car feels like with the torque that your car makes, I told my guys that myself the next day because I drove it home one night, I did a pool and I went back to work. I told my boys I was afraid to stay in it. I'm not going to lie because he had the traction control on and it was all over the place because the traction control was trying to pull the timing, bring it back. and it was sketchy enough for me, so I can only imagine an average guy who's used to a 600 to 700 horsepower car getting into it and feeling like he's about to watch it do it again generally, um .
I wanted the performance, I wanted the looks, so we made it under the hood, we made it look as nice as possible with the full Faraday conversion as far as the valve covers go, as well as the Magnuson looking nice under the hood, um , the relocation of the coil packs and everything else on this car is absolutely beautiful, so Mr. Tyson picked it up and I just want to share this video with you, to give you a little overview again. Tyson's cool client and they're about to see him. a little bit of him seeing it for the first time and trying it out for the first time.
He was actually out of town so I didn't have the luxury of being here to deliver the car to him like I normally do with most of my clients. Tyson, I apologize for that, but next time you're in town, we talked the other day, he already wants more stuff, so you'll see more of this car in the future on our channel. I promise, but look at this, guys. You're going to love it, it was long, you go, LM has the engine, oh they're building an engine, this is the one that shot it pinched something in the drivetrain, we're pretty sure D, I have all those parts and they found the relays that popped. at 600 feet, so let's fix that first and then we're going to do the full kill, which I need to get with your pars before I leave so we can sort everything out, like the headers and whatever I can. we can go over a full list of what I brought, that way we're on the same page, you've got the transmission completely rebuilt, you've got the King transmission, Tim King transmission, all Billet, it's all input, output, shaster, buet now.
I redid the clutch packs after about 4,000 miles, what about the wave track, new RPM? It has 1,400 horsepower D-drive shaft shop axles and a solid aluminum drive shaft from, well, from the transmission shift shop. I'm just telling you I have a transmission that's for 14 00 I'm with you and you know it's me like I really don't want to put it in a Glide. I really don't want to do that. I love driving the car I like to take. I got the Char Triple H for the rally setup and I got the ET streets for work man this thing like this car is going to be sick this is a stock engine so imagine yours with a built engine it's a package deal 12200 that will be built, yes, its It will be stupid because it has an engine built, this is an original engine in this, yes, so it is still sick.
Mak done, horsepower and no, we'll probably start with B next, oh yeah, yeah, what you think it looks like, uh, it's amazing. Long road, long road. from where it was, yeah, we pushed it here, yeah, we just shoved it here and said deal with it, it's your problem, yeah, it went in and it died and just pieces, yeah, the engine was in, but the engine was in. and the drivetrain was on it, but I didn't know it was right, so you know, and then the engine was locked up and then you remember Anthony ripped out the whole interior, the electrical system had broken the main power cable, so he you chased and finally took it all out, did that and then booted for 90 seconds in the elevator and then crashed, which we'll find out.
I think we shut down the other engine, repair it or repair it, if possible, whatever may have a backup as well. motor in case something happens, I don't think it's definitely going to go from the bird's nest to that's much better, yeah, yeah, you know you live and learn. I always tell people now that if you want to do it, buy a stock and send it. Address it directly to the people you want to do it, don't waste your time, uh, don't waste your time trying to solve it or don't buy someone else's problems and I bought a lot of I bought someone else's problems and all of you.
I've fixed it, so we fixed it with a smell of holy cge, sorry, bad ass. I mean, I said I care about the camera on the road. I hear it audibly bro, damn, bro, what they say putting it around, bro, I just hit the gas. stay behind them, I think they want you to do it for now, yeah, that's a lot of power, just 10% acceleration, oh, I just press the accelerator, oh, so let's go this way and then we'll explore the interface of user and all the A long time ago, I would put that back to T.
I know I'm just trying to get them to burn the tires a little, don't worry, I'm not going crazy, I promise bro, I'm just living the truce. I know, I know, oh. Oh my god, Tyson, we got a problem, bro, we ain't got no problem, we got a

monster

, yeah, alright bro, alright, we got time, man, space, here we go, that was on the floor and it was full of timing big time, yes, it is. loud, yeah, holy, it's loud, that was it, though on the ground, woo, my first words are, I really have no words, I'm a little speechless, uh, it's wilder than I could have imagined.
I'm very excited, I'm looking forward to it. get used to driving it and be able to put the power to the ground. They do a great job. It drives like a normal car and then when you get in, it sounds like it's angry, to put it kindly. Is incredible. I'm happy uh and I'll keep coming back.
