This DIY is super easy. I started with one of these. wooden frame

decor

ative boxes from Dollar Tree I chose the black wooden frame, but Dollar Tree sells boxes in different colors and styles so you can choose the one that best matches your

decor

. Then I went ahead and filled it with some reindeer moss. you had leftover from Christmas, you could use any moss you have now I have two bouquets of these peach roses left over from my

dollar

tree

's last Valentine's Day DIY. I just ripped them off their stems and am adding some hot glue to them. to the bottom of them and placing them inside the box, I ended up making a total of nine roses inside the box, so I made three rows of three roses each.

I think you could definitely do this with the rosebuds that Dollar Tree sells too. I would probably only need a few more bunches to fill the entire box. I love how it turned out and it looks so cute as a little pot, but you can also hang this on the wall because it has a hanger on the back. I just recommend hot gluing the moss to the box so it doesn't fall off, but since I'm not going to use it that way, I'm going to go ahead and remove the hanger from the back of the box and that was it. for this project it's a song about your sweet sweet heart and how no one can steal me.

DIY number two is just as easy as the first DIY. I'll just use one of these frames from Dollar Tree with the thread and pins. I just removed the back of the frame and now I'm going to use this love scrapbook paper that I bought at Hobby lobby. It's a

dollar

, so this piece was like 25 cents, it's super inexpensive and I just used the back of the frame to Trace on the back of the paper the shape I needed, the size I needed and then I just cut it out. Next, I'm using a mod podge that you can get at Dollar Tree if you don't have it.

This one came, I think, from Joanne Fabrics a long time ago, but I'm going to spread it over the back of the frame and place my scrapbook paper on top. Now it's going to curve a little bit if you can see it here. but if you let it dry, which I didn't have time to do with something heavy on it, then you shouldn't have any problems once I put it back on the frame, you didn't notice it was rolled up. Anyway, so the two clothespins that come with the frame are a little bigger than the ones I had from Dollar Tree and I wanted three clothespins on the frame, so I just removed the larger clothespins and added the three smaller ones.
Then I took this dollar tree sign with the galvanized hearts and removed them from the sign. It was a little difficult for a couple of them to come off and I found myself bending the galvanized hearts so be careful because if you bend those hearts too much they will break because they are not sturdy so be careful when you remove them but the last one came off very easily so I don't know what happened to the other two, the last thing I did was take those galvanized hearts and apply them to the three clothes pins on the frame and that was it for this DIY.
I think it turned out really cute and is perfect to add to a farmhouse Valentine's Day decor with something about our eyes and how You're Always Shining or something cliche, honey, I only want you. DIY number three is another easy one. I picked up two of these glass candles from Dollar Tree and I just need to remove the sticker, but they are a little difficult to peel off. So thanks to some of my subscribers from a previous video a while ago they suggested using a hair dryer to heat up the sticker to peel it off easier and it worked perfect so thank you all for that suggestion all I had to do was clean.
The residue with a bit of sticky substance disappeared, the next step was to take some masking tape or painter's tape and simply tape half way up the glass of each pillar candle. I just placed them next to each other to make sure they were the same height as me. I put the tape on and the next thing I did was I took some white chalk paint, this is from Rustolium and then I took some Waverly red paint and I mixed it to make a light pink color, but this light pink color that you're seeing here it is not. the pink color that I chose I actually wanted a more peachy color to match the dollar tree roses from my last DIY in this video, so I ended up going back for the second coat and mixing that pink paint that I mixed a little bit with. orange paint and a little more white paint until I got a peachy pink color that I liked, then I painted a second coat, once the paint was completely dry I went ahead and removed the masking tape and got that nice clean line I had .
Looking now, chalk paint comes off very easily on glass surfaces and if you saw my last video with the candy heart plates, I forgot to mention that I sealed them with Waverly clear wax which is what it is, you can use polyurethane . or mod podge just something so the paint doesn't chip, now these hearts were from my last video for my Valentine's Day crafts. I had three left over, so I'll use two here and drill holes in both. with my drill and then I took some of that paint that I mixed and painted the back and front with two coats of paint.
These hearts aren't necessarily necessary for this project, I just thought I'd go ahead and use them to hold up my scrapbook paper a little better, but you could use scrapbook paper. um I'm going to go ahead and take the hearts and trace the shape onto the scrapbook paper and then cut it out and then I just go. take some mod podge and apply it to both hearts and apply the scrapbook paper to that so you could skip the wooden hearts all together and just use the scrapbook paper and punch them with a hole punch and I think that would be Exercise too once the scrapbook paper has been applied to the wooden hearts.
I just took my pencil and stuck the scrapbook paper into that hole in the wooden hearts so the hole went all the way through. The next thing I did was I took some twine and threaded it through each of the hearts and tied a knot so I had two separate pieces of twine on each heart and then I took that piece of twine with a heart on it and tied it on the top of each candle and then I wrapped the excess thread around the top of the candle and used a little hot glue to secure it and that was it for this DIY.
I think it's perfect for Valentine's Day, but you could wear it to a bridal shower or I promise no one can get in its way. As easy as the last three. I'm going to use these packs of foam dice, so I have four and I'm just going to give them two coats of white chalk paint. Then I have a package of these wooden letters from Dollar Tree. I'm just going to use the letters h, m, and e from them and I'm going to give them two coats of this Waverly black chalk paint. Now this heart is one of those red hearts I had for the candles.
I had one left over. of four of them I ripped them off a sign for a previous DIY like I said and painted it white for some other reason but now I'm painting it with that peachy pink color I mixed now everything is dry and the next step is just attaching E h, E heart, E m and E on one side of the dice with a little hot glue. Now you can use the o from that letter pack and apply it to the other side and then you could use this all year round. I love how this turned out baby, I just want you to be the first to DIY.
I'm just going to use this heart decoration piece from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to take my scissors and cut the tinsel off the top and then I'm going to start unwrapping it. It's very easy to unwrap and I'm going to take it all off now. I'm going to grab these cream roses that I bought from Dollar Tree a while ago. I have 15 and I already ripped them off the stems and I'm going to start in the middle of the top of the heart and I'm just going to hot glue them to the corners of the grids around the top of the heart until I run out, like this so what I'm doing is I'm following the heart shape on the outside, but I'm only going to use grid lengths of about two grid links down with the cream roses because I also have two other different colors to add to this heart , so I want to create a line at the top of the cream roses and then I'll go in with a different color in the middle and a different color at the bottom.
When you add your roses, you want to make sure that the bumps on top of the heart are your spikes and you're actually adding more roses to those outside bumps, that way you create that indentation in the middle to make it look like a heart shape. Now the next color I'm using is a peachy pink color, it's very light. These roses again are from Dollar Tree and I actually used four bouquets of this color so it was 20 roses in total and again I pulled them off the stems and started where the cream roses left off and hot glued them on. the corners of the grids um, once I got three bunches that were 15 roses, all placed in a line that filled about a grid and a half, I came back with the last bunch of roses, the five roses that were left over and I like glued them together I heated the ones in the middle to fill the spaces around them and you can see that from time to time I also take the rose petals and hot glue them to fill some spaces.
Now the last color is a dark peachy pink. color I got from the dollar tree and I had three bunches of these so I had 15 roses and I just filled in the bottom of the heart with those again doing the same thing by hot gluing them to the corners of the grid and then filling in where I needed it so that of That way there would be no spaces. I made sure to turn everything over at the end and reinforce it with some hot glue. Then the last thing I did was use some of this burlap ribbon from Dollar Tree to create a hanger for this door hanger or wreath or whatever you want to call it, I just cut a piece off and then hot glued it to the back of the grid pattern.
Make sure you use scissors or something to keep it in place, but that was it. I love how it turned out. Do you know how much I love you? You played my favorite song. For the next DIY, I'm going to use three of these heart-shaped glass plates from Dollar Tree, one of which I'm going to paint with regular white chalk. Rust-oleum paint, I'll give it two coats of paint to cover it and then on the second coat I'll mix some white and red paint together to get a darker pink color. um you want to make sure when you're.
By mixing colors, you mix enough to paint two coats on your piece, so you don't have to mix colors again and get the wrong color the second time, so make sure you mix enough paint to make two coats. Then I went ahead and painted the second glass with the darker pink color and like I said, I did two coats. You want to do one coat, let it dry and then go back and apply the other coat because you're going to use the rest. pink paint um, the darker pink paint for the third glass, you're just going to mix a little bit more white into that darker pink paint so that way you get a very light pink, if this all makes sense, that way you go through from white to light pink to dark pink, so it's going to be like an ombre effect, um, anyway I did it with the last piece of glass and painted it with two coats of lighter pink paint to speed up the drying process.
I always use my hair dryer in the middle so everything dries quickly, so once everything was dry, I went ahead and wrote inside the bottom of each of them some candy heart sayings. The first one I wrote was my own and I used a pencil to write everything down, just in case I made a mistake. I could go back and erase it and then I went back and went over it with a black marker. On the second one I wrote kiss me and then on the third I just wrote I love you and that was it for these simple plates, I think they turned out so cute and I love how they look like little candy hearts and they would be perfect to display in your entryway with some sweets packaged for Valentine's Day or just around your house for a cutedecoration forever forever for this third DIY.
I'm going to use four of these "bless your heart" dollar tree signs. I went ahead and removed the four hearts coming out of the signs. I'm going to save one for my next DIY in this video and then save the other three for maybe something. otherwise I later went ahead and sanded where the hearts were on the signs just to make sure everything was smooth. I then took my oxide-oleum white chalk paint and painted the front of the signs with two coats of cover paint. the writing after the signs were all dry I just went ahead and turned them over because I'm going to use the inside back of these signs for my project.
You could use the front if you wanted, but I just like the 3D look of the box. I guess I went ahead and put everything together with some hot glue and then took some of that light pink paint that I had mixed up in the last project and used it to paint the inside of these boxes. The inside and sides of all of them and , once they were dry I went back with some white chalk paint and very carefully painted the edges of the sign in white, unfortunately I didn't have enough time in this video but I think it would be super cute on the back of this if You would make it as a dual purpose sign and the back could be an Easter decoration.
Also, the Easter decorations aren't on my dollar tree yet, so I really wasn't sure what I wanted. to do anyway, um, but the last thing I did to the sign was I just wrote on each box an x and an o with a pencil and then I went back with my black marker and filled it in and made sure I had an x above the o and the o on top of the x if it makes sense to keep them opposite and that was it for this Valentine's Day sign, I think it looks really pretty and super cute forever for the last DIY I'm going to do.
One of those hearts that I ripped out of the sign in the previous DIY and I'm going to go ahead and place it between two pieces of wood so that it's easier to drill a hole in the side of the heart that I just took. Some of that leftover light pink paint I mixed up and painted on both the back and the front, then I'm going to take these dollar tree beads and some twine and I'm going to go ahead and place my heart on the twine and tie it. and then I'm going to take some hot glue and at the end of the thread I'm just going to go ahead and put a little bit in there and that way it'll be easier for me to string these beads on the thread without the thread coming undone and causing a lot of problems and It will be easier to go through the holes, so after I did that and the hot glue dried, I went ahead and strung all the beads onto the piece. of thread to where the heart is which I tied after all the pearls were strung on the thread, I made a quick little tassel by simply wrapping the thread around my four fingers a bunch of times and then removed that loop. and I wrapped a little more thread around the top to create two loops and then I just wrapped the excess thread around the top to make it look a little bulkier and then I just cut between the larger loop at the bottom to make my tassel and then I just took the string that the beads were strung on and used it to go through the smaller loop and tie the tassel and that was it.
I think this turned out really nice and cute for Valentine's Day. This moment can only stay here forever. I'm going to make a pillow with this craft fabric that I found at Dollar Tree, it's just white fabric and I just unfolded it and folded it opposite ways so the right sides were facing each other and then I ironed out all the wrinkles. now on the opposite side of the folded part, I'm just going to use my hot glue gun and hot glue both pieces together. This is the long side that I'm going to start with first and I'm just getting started. on one end and hot glue it to the other end.
Now you can definitely sew this pillowcase. You can also use fusible tape or you can use fabric glue. It depends on you. I only had hot glue on hand and that's what worked for me, so I went ahead and continued hot gluing the two smaller sides down onto one of the smaller sides. I left an opening, so I only glued halfway and then left that opening so it could fit in my hand. over there and turned the pillowcase inside out or right side in and then making sure to push the corners out so that my corners were pointed and then I just took some polythene and filled the pillowcase now yeah If you are using filling from an old pillow or something, I would recommend using the lighter or white colored filling to fill this pillow because the pillowcase is a little transparent, so if you used a different color you would probably see it now.
I need to close that hole that I left open to stuff my pillow so what I'm doing is just taking both sides and just folding a small piece of fabric over the inside of the pillow case and then I go ahead and apply the hot glue between the seams. That way I get a good edge and it's not perfect, it was a little rough on my thumb, but it worked below. I'm going to decorate the pillow with these goodie bags from Dollar Tree. I have a red packet in a pink packet and All I'm going to do is go ahead and cut out the three pink hearts and then I'm just going to cut out one of the red hearts.
Now I'm just going to take those hearts and place them on top. my pillow and organize them the way I like them, it had two pink ones and then one red one and then another pink one and this reminds me, I don't know if you saw it, but the little sign that I bought in Target where it has all the pink hearts and then a red heart that is what gave me this idea and all I'm going to do is go ahead and hot glue all those hearts to the pillow, lastly I decided to wrap each heart with a little twine so that it would cover the cut edges without top off the burlap hearts and give it a cleaner look.
I simply started at the bottom of each heart and wrapped my twine up around the heart applying a little. of hot glue while attaching the thread I basically just used what was on the end of my hot glue gun to stick the thread on so that way I didn't have a big hot glue mess all over my pillow and that was I love how This heart-shaped pillow was left. I think it's perfect for Valentine's Day and spring. I'm going to use four of these stretched canvases in size 10 and start by simply removing the canvas from the frames I tested. using scissors which didn't work very well so I just used a flat head screwdriver to remove all the staples and did this with all four canvases so with my original idea I was going to go ahead and reattach all the canvases to each of the frames and I have the frames exposed, so that's what I'm doing here.
I just hot glued the canvas to the back of the frame and then I cut off the excess canvas around the frame and then I went ahead and attached the four canvases together to make one big, uh, kind of window picture and I just use hot glue to put everything together of course e6000 or wood glue would work in this case you just have to wait for it to dry more but then I decided I didn't want the canvas stuck to the frame so I went ahead and removed the entire canvas and now I only have a big window open.
I'm taking this dollar tree heart sign and I just took some sandpaper and I used that to take the shine off the front of the sign. Now this idea originally came from something I saw on Pinterest and I thought I'd recreate it. I saw a couple of weeks ago that Heidi ensemble actually created something like this on a smaller scale. Also on her channel and she used different materials and I love how it turned out, it turned out so pretty, look at that video. I'll leave it linked below in the description box. I will also collaborate with her next Monday. a video, so you'll want to keep an eye out for that.
The next thing I did was fill that little hole at the top of the heart with some hot glue and now I'm just taking some chalk paint that I had mixed up. my previous video to get this color and I'm painting the heart with two coats of that. Next, I'm just going to turn the heart over and remove the ribbon on one side of the heart that's holding it together and I'm going to replace that with some of this lace ribbon from Dollar Tree. I just left a little bit of tape at the top so I could wrap it around the frame and then I cut off the excess tape at the bottom at heart height and then I went.
I went ahead and did the other tape on the other side and left one tape while I was doing the other tape if that makes sense, that way this wouldn't get all wonky for me and I could keep everything together now that I'm I'm going to put my frames or the window that I made and I'm just going to place that ribbon that's attached to my heart over the top two frames and then I'm just going to cut off the excess tape and apply some hot glue. on the back of those frames to attach the ribbon too, then I decided to make a couple of bows with that same ribbon and I didn't realize how hard it was to tie a bow without a thumb, but it's pretty difficult, but I managed it.
I got to work and then I took some hot glue and glued those bows to the top of the front of the frame where the ribbon attaches to the frame and that was it for this DIY. I think it's very pretty on the farm. Now say goodbye and try. moving on I'll get over it I just wish I knew it really gives me spring vibes so I'll start with this Valentine's Day red truck sign from Dollar Tree and use a box cutter to score around the hearts that are on the truck bed, so I'm going to mark around until all the hearts are broken and I'm left with the truck bed exposed.
Now I need to get all the shine off the truck, so I'm going to use some 60 grit sandpaper to sand everything down and get all that shine off. Now it's time for the fun part and that is painting the truck to transform it. I'm going to use this Waverly brand chalk paint. The color agave, I love this blue color, it is very pretty and matches the decoration of my house, it is also something that I think is very spring and summer and I can leave it like this all year round, so what I did first before.
I started painting and took a photo of what the truck looked like so I had some reference while painting the truck, that way I could get all the details of the trunk back since I was covering the truck. all those details while I was painting it, so the first thing I did was start with a smaller brush and I just went ahead and edged around the whole truck and then when I was done I went in and filled in the rest. That way I had my blue truck, once the blue paint was dry it was time to go ahead and do some of the details, so I used a black paint pen to do all the wheels on the truck, I just outlined them and then I filled them in.
I think that worked better for me instead of using paint with a brush and then I went back and traced around the window and then traced around the entire truck and outlined the entire truck in black. This is where I took that photo of the original. At first the truck really helped me because I always need something to look at when I'm trying to draw. I don't do it very well just doing it freehand, I just need something to reference so I know it looks the way it's supposed to look. If that makes sense, while looking at that photo I used my black marker or my black paint pin and drew the details on the truck.
If I was wrong, I had that agave paint next to me so I could cover it that way. If I had to and then I had that white paint pin and I used it to do kind of like the glitter marks on the truck and make it look more realistic, so I think it came out a little cartoony, but I still like it. how it looks and I love the color because I think it looks very stretchy. The last thing I did to this truck was I wanted to add flowers to the bed of the truck, so what I did was play with this for a long time to figure out how I was going to attach something to hold the flowers, I finally decided on these planters of clay and I placed one right behind the wheel of the truck and made sure it was flat and the truck was right up against that clay pot, that way.
He made a stand and held the truck. You could leave it as a crock in the back of the truck, but I decided to add two, so I wanted it to be a little higher and you couldn't. to see the bottom of the clay pot, so I hot glued it on top of the truck bed and right next to the other clay pot I reinforced the clay pots with a lot of hot glue to make sure they wouldn't fall into the final. I filled the pots with some of these roses from Dollar Tree and I love how they turned out.
It's perfect for spring but it's also perfect for Valentine's Day. I thought we could fix them but we got tired. Use this sign that I used in my previous video.for the galvanized hearts and I'm just going to turn it over and remove the staples and the hanger that's on the back with a flathead screwdriver, so what I'm going to do is make a planter with these two signs, but I need a bottom and two smaller sides, so I'm going to use this dollar tree foam board and I'm just going to take one of the signs and trace it and then use a utility knife to cut that and that.
It's going to be the bottom of my box and then for the sides, I'm going to go ahead and look at where I cut the last one and then I'm going to make sure it's the same width as the sign and then I'm going to cut two pieces. and those will be the smaller sides of my box. Now, what am I going to do with the sign that has love written in glitter? I'm going to go ahead, take my white chalk paint, give it two coats and off I go. the glitter on the sign so you can see the letters through the chalk paint, you can't see the glitter anymore you can just see the raised letters and that allowed me to use my pen and just trace over those letters the same way .
It was only in black, so that's what I did here. I just used my pen and traced those letters and then I had the word love exactly as it was, but in the color and style that I liked, so I decided to go ahead and fill in the heart of the sign with this peachy pink chalk paint that I mixed up a few years ago. videos and that way it would fit in with the rest of my Valentine's Day decor. I wanted to quickly say, thank you all. Thank you very much for your comments and concerns last week about my injured thumb.
It's much better now. It's just a little bruised. I really appreciate all the comments and concerns so I just wanted to thank you for that. Back to the video, next I took the other part of the sign and sanded the three spots where the galvanized hearts were so the paper wouldn't keep peeling off when I painted it and then I gave it two coats of white. Chalk Paint I also gave these smaller squares two coats of white chalk paint for the smaller sides I cut out. Now it's time to assemble the planter, so I'll start with the piece of foam board I cut out. for the bottom of the pot and I didn't paint that piece of foam board because it will be on the bottom so you won't see it and then I'm going to use the front of the planner box which is the sign. that's got love and I'm just going to apply a little bit of hot glue to the bottom edge and then apply it to the front of the sign and then do the same thing for the two sides, just apply a little bit of hot glue and then glue it on. to the front and bottom of the sign then the last piece is the back of the board and I'm just going to apply some hot glue to those three sides and attach the back now all that's left to do is Fill the pot and you can use any flower or whatever you want to fill your box.
I only used a little floral foam and then didn't have enough so I used some pool noodles to fill the rest of the box. that way I would have something to stick my flowers to and then I used some of the peach roses in the light peach and the dark peach to fill my box and left the leaves on and then placed them sporadically. and I love how it turned out for Valentine's Day. It works perfectly with the rest of my decor and you can use it during spring too. I don't know what it is for my second DIY.
I'm going to use these two. dollar tree love signs with metal hearts so I'm going to remove the metal hearts with a flat head screwdriver and save them both for my last DIY so I set them aside and now I'm just going to take a piece of sandpaper and sand the spots where the metal hearts were glued so that that way you have a smooth finish for this sign when finished, then I just cut out the hooks for this sign and made it. I filled in the holes with some hot glue, so that way you can't see the holes anymore and then I went over this with two coats of white chalk paint, once all the signs were dry I just went ahead and flipped them over to both. on their backs and I laid them against each other on the long sides and then I used some hot glue to secure them and to make sure they were really secure together I went ahead and reinforced them with some popsicle sticks. to define the lines on the sign because they're like little indentations that make it look overlapping, so I just used my black paint pen and traced those lines, but then I went back with my white chalk paint and just dry brushed. over those lines to make it look like they were grooves there but they weren't that dark.
Next I'm going to use this tissue paper from Dollar Tree. Comes in a pack of 24. There are four sheets per color. I'm going to use the four rose leaves for this DIY. I just cut strips from those four sheets and then I just cut squares from these strips. Your squares and strips don't have to be perfect. I didn't measure them or anything. I just looked at them and cut them out and then I didn't end up using all the squares I cut out, but you could for this project, depending on how you prefer it. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to start with just one of the squares that I cut out and I'm going to group it in the middle and I'm going to take some hot glue and I'm going to start gluing it onto the sign.
Now I'm going to make a heart shape with the tissue paper, so I kept applying hot glue until I started to get the shape of a heart and then I realized that I probably should have taken a pencil and drawn my heart on the sign to have something to follow and that way my heart wouldn't turn. crooked and it just wouldn't look like a heart so I went ahead and did that after I started and then it was easier to go ahead and follow the outline of that heart with the tissue paper, that's all I did for this DIY.
You could definitely make it your own by using more tissue paper and making your heart thicker or filling it with more tissue paper or using different colors, it's up to you. I really love how it turned out and it's a very easy project to make for the ultimate DIY, I'm going to use these two glass jars from Dollar Tree. I'm also going to use these heart shaped foam stickers from Dollar Tree. Now these particular glass jars have sections, so what I'm going to do is take three of the smaller heart stickers from the package and I'm going to place them vertically on a section of the glass jar and then after making a section, I'm going to continue Go ahead and I'll skip one section and then do the next section and continue with everything. around the glass jar until I have it filled with the stickers, so I'm not going to leave these stickers on the jar like this, I'm actually placing them here so I can paint over them and then when I remove the stickers, I'll have the silhouette of a heart, so I'm going to use some of this pink paint that I used in my previous DIY.
I had already mixed it a few videos ago. It's just chalk paint. I'm going to do two coats on the glass jar making sure to cover the cracks of the stickers and now once the jar is completely dry I'm going to go ahead and remove all the stickers and like I said I'm left with my heart silhouettes , you always. I want to seal the painted glass with something so the paint doesn't come off, especially with chalk paint because it comes off very easily, so in this case I'm just using a mod podge that dries clear, you could use polyacrylic or just anything you like. dry, now I'm going to use those metal hearts that I removed from my sign in the second DIY and I'm just going to use my drill to drill a hole in each of them in the center at the top.
What's left to do is run some twine through these metal hearts and tie that twine around the top of each jar and that's it, you can put candles in these with the lids off of course, or candy , it's up to you, but I think they are so cute first wreath, I'm using these two sparkly hearts that came from the dollar tree and I'm hot gluing them, one to the bottom of the other, kind of a cornered cart and then I'm gluing them also tying with a piece of thread. Now I'm just applying floral moss to my two hearts with my hot glue gun and I just received the dollar tree floral moss.
I used a total of three bags for both hearts and I'm only covering the front and inside side. of both hearts I didn't do the back of either heart once the hearts were covered in moss I went back with my scissors and gave them both a little trim so that way there wouldn't be a ton of moss falling off. Next, I'm going to take these dollar tree flowers and I'm just going to tear off the white parts of the stems and take my hot glue and then follow the heart. form with each stem and just layering it as I go down and cutting pieces as needed.
I just played with it until I got it how I liked it and it also takes a few seconds for the glue to adhere to the floral moss so you'll want to press it firmly for a few seconds and hold it there so the floral pieces don't lift up right after you glue them on. I just used my scissors to clip. down so I don't burn my fingers, but you can use finger protectors or a silicone spatula, some people use that, but my scissors worked in this case and that's it for this wreath. I think it turned out pretty, it's a little stretchy and it's definitely neutral and gives that farmhouse feel.
You could use different colored flowers if you wanted, but I like the way this one looks, so for this second wreath I'm going to use the green of the flowers from the last wreath and just plucking them from the stems, okay, so I slowed this part down. so you can see what I'm doing here because I'm not sure I can explain it very well, but I'm going to try to basically what I am. What I do is I take a piece of greenery and I placed a little bit of hot glue between two of the leaves towards the bottom of that piece of greenery, then I took another piece of greenery and inserted the bottom of that piece of greenery inside the two. leaves to glue them with hot glue and I will continue repeating this step.
I took a new piece of greenery and put some hot glue between the two leaves and then inserted the whole stem I'm making here at the bottom. between the two leaves and I'm going to do this with two of the greenery clusters and I'm basically creating a vine. Okay, now my vine is finished and what I'm going to do is take the bottom part. of that vine and I'm going to turn it over to make a circle and I'm just going to hot glue the bottom of the vine to the top of the vine between the two leaves, so basically I'm creating a little little wreath now just I'm going to take another bunch of greenery and I'm just going to stick it randomly around my circle with hot glue, um, just to fill it in a little bit more once I've filled it all out with the other set. of greenery, I'm just going to hot glue the pieces that get a little too wide just to make a tighter circle so that when you pick it up it's not so flimsy and now it stays in a circle shape.
I'm going to take some of this burlap ribbon from Dollar Tree and cut a piece off and just join the ends together. Then I'll take some of these wooden letters from Dollar Tree that spell love and paint them with some ivory chalk paint. then I'm going to stick them with my hot glue gun over the ribbon and I'm going to stick the ribbon over the greenery and then I'm going to take this frame and I'm going to take out the plastic and I'm just going to attach my wreath with the burlap ribbon so I think this turned out really cute and this is something you could use all year round or at least until spring and you can change the letters and make it say whatever you want for this last wreath.
I'm using the heart wire wreath shape from Dollar Tree and some of this nautical rope and then what I'm going to do is cover the inside of the wreath with the nautical rope, so I'm just going to wrap it around the inside ring here and trace the heart out and then when I got to the bottom. I'm going to keep going around that heart and keep tracing it and hot gluing the nautical rope until I fill the whole heart and then when I get to the end of filling the heart, I cut myself off. nautical rope and then I took the last end piece and stuck it through the other side of the heart and hot glued it to the back, then I used these cream colored dollar tree roses and hot glued them around the wire wreath shape you could use any color you want.
The dollar tree also has pink and red roses, so I was only using the cream colored ones because they matched the neutral farmhouse theme I was going to use this year when I was arranging the roses around the wreath shape. If I saw that there were any gaps, I would simply take a petal from each of the roses that were next to each other and hot glue them together and that would fill in the gaps as well to add a little bit of green to the wreath. I used the leaves and simply hot glued them to the bottom of the rose before hot gluing them to the wreath form.
I think I ended up using about eight.or nine bouquets of roses to fill this wreath and I think it looks very full and pretty. I think it's very neutral and you could use it well into spring and not just for Valentine's Day, so for this first Valentine's Day DIY I'm using these wooden letters that come from the dollar tree. I got the two , this is just what I had left over and I'm just gluing it on with a little bit of hot glue, the next thing I did was I took my scissors and I just cut out the reindeer moss on each letter just to make the letter stand out more.
Now I'm going to take two of these styrofoam blocks that came from the dollar tree and I'm going to place the can upside down on one of them and then just cut this around the styrofoam to cut a circle and then all I'm going to do is What to do is just cut that circle in half and place the half into two tens and then I'm going to do the same thing with the other block. Now I'm going to take my moss covered letters and I'm going to hot glue one to the top of each of these wooden dowels. from the dollar tree, next I'm going to take my letters on a stick and I'm just going to add one to each container by simply pushing the stick down into the styrofoam, now I'm just going to add some moss on top . of the containers here with some hot glue, lastly I just took some twine and tied a simple bow on the top of each of these pegs near the letter and that was it, everyone was ready, I really love how they turned out, I think they are They are so cute I think they would be perfect to display as a little teardrop tray.
They are so versatile that you can change the letters, you can make it spell home or love and you can use it all spring or even all year long for next year. For the Valentine's Day DIY, I'm using this love sign that came from the dollar tree and I'm just removing the string hanger on the back and then I'm going to take my string and I'm just going to wrap each letter in the string until it's the complete word. covered, I'm not going to lie, this took a long time, it probably took about an hour, I sat and watched TV while I did it, and if I could do it all over again, I probably wouldn't wrap each letter with twine, maybe just the o and paint the lv and the e, but in the end I liked how it turned out, so it wasn't that bad.
Now what I'm doing here is just adding some hot glue. to the bottom of the love sign and then I'm going to glue it to the floral foam that I got from the dollar tree and just reinforced it with a little bit of hot glue on the back and front of the sign, but you could add a little bit. like jenga blocks on the back or front, if you didn't think that was sturdy enough, now I'm just going to add these white roses all over the floral foam around the love sign and I just bought these white roses at Dollar Tree. you could add any color of roses you want, I just like white to keep it neutral and make the farmhouse look nice, this is how it looked after everything was done, I added a little lace bow on top with just a little bit of that lace ribbon from Dollar Tree and I think it turned out really pretty.
I think this could definitely be used year round. You could also wear it to a wedding or bridal shower, so it's perfect for spring, so I really like how this one turned out for my last Valentine's Day. diy I'm going to use this wooden heart that comes from the dollar tree. I'm just going to cut the hanger off because I don't need it and then I'm going to take this gel dye and then I'm going to dye the front of my heart. I'm going to take the ivory chalk paint and just apply a coat over the gel stain while waiting for the wood heart to dry.
I grabbed this sparkly heart from Dollar Tree and am wrapping it in yarn. This didn't take as long as the sign of love to wrap itself in twine. It took a little time, but I think it was worth it in the end. Well, now that my heart is wrapped in a string and my other heart is. dry, I'm just going to take my yarn heart and place it on top of the wooden heart and hot glue it on and this will create a shadow box effect. Now I'm just going to grab some Spanish moss too. from the dollar tree and I'm going to hot glue it inside the heart at the bottom there and then I have these two white doves that I bought for Christmas from the dollar tree and I'm going to hot glue them to the heart and the moss and if not you can find these doves, which I'm sure you can't find at Dollar Tree anymore, they sell little birds in the floral section that you could use instead, so I wanted a base for my heart to sit on.
So I took this glass chandelier that I had lying around that was from Dollar Tree and I had painted it a long time ago, which is a little bit of white chalk paint and I just added a little bit of glue inside the top and just placed the bottom of heart inside. the candelabra and added a little extra glue to reinforce it, lastly I added this little bow of twine to the top of the candelabra and that's how it looked. I think it turned out so cute. I love it, it's perfect for a farmhouse and even for spring. and I love the two little love birds kissing in their nest, so it's perfect for decorating on Valentine's Day.
