Jun 06, 2021
Hello my old enemy, it's been a long time and not long enough. Look, I may think you're a repulsive, reprehensible piece of filth and you may think the same of me, but you know what? Why don't we put aside our differences and Abuse each other one last time, that's the ticket 12 seconds later, yeah, no, sorry, this wasn't worth it. Okay, cancel the video. Goodbye forever, ladies and gentlemen. I regret to inform you that yes, I am going to revisit Call of Duty World War 2. I also didn't see this coming now, my review of this game is easily my most popular video now, while it is one of my favorite reviews, videos from one of my Least favorite games of all time.

It's been so long and I've actually gotten a lot of requests to go back and revisit this game, give it another chance, see what was done with the updates and maybe eat some of this. I was willing to talk so easily, you know, I didn't touch it after my initial review and I feel like I'm fair, they're trying to add new maps, new weapons, new skins and emotes, but a lot has happened since then. I have played and reviewed many other Call of Duty, some of them possibly. worse than this, a new dog model, so I would like to say that I have a much broader perspective on Call of Duty as a series and as a franchise in general two and a half years later, so the multiplayer has improved somewhat remarkable.

Nazi zombies, I have a different view on that now and what about the UI and supply drops, but before we put our boots on the ground and get back to this, what is this? I don't want someone to find my address and just come to my door, so do yourself a favor and download it now, visit www.hsn.com / Act man and get a three month head start, that being said, this is Call of Duty's second time World War. Now my thoughts on the campaign are more or less the same. I have no reason to play it again and that's exactly what I said, just nice. It was now its own thing, the first thing I wanted to see was if the UI was still stupid and to my surprise it seems like they've made some improvements, you no longer have to go to the Social Space to get to the Social Space where you can search for a match and access to a bunch of junk that could have been on the menus.

All functions and everything can now be accessed only from the menus, a revolutionary new concept, but if you want the classic Cod World. In the War 2 experience, you can return to the War 2 experience and open supply drops on the beaches of Normandy as it was on day 9 forty-four now, instead of that collections tab that sorted everything into this weird, nonsensical order, even in this collections tab you can't equip any of this, how is this organized? Why are there categories for weapons, but when you click on them, they show you

call

ing cards, emotes, and outfits? Oh hey here's a good idea why don't you create categories for

call

ing cards emoticons and outfits actually have categories for business cards emoticons emblems and outfits and all that you also get this you can use a tactical and lethal grenade now God and now you can only choose between a lethal or tactical grenade why are there so many of these The fixes are just basic stuff that Call of Duty has never messed up before but somehow they did it here so I can't give you too many bells and whistles but you I'll give one, maybe two, no way I take it all back.
I've spent all this time adding a whopping 215 emotes to the game, you know it was a top priority. I realize you guys needed to hit that 215 emo number, otherwise Activision wouldn't let you come home to your family, so Bravo to you. You know how to keep your priorities clear and add this wide variety of emoticons. you know this is a staple of the course of the Call of Duty franchise is the emote selection and that's really the foundation of the game so you know Call of Duty World War 2 just nails it. out of the park oh these loot boxes haven't aged well you know the emotes and everything that works for Overwatch and that's pretty much the only game that has worked for you you can literally unlock the same emote more than 5 times and still get duplicates of a recycled gesture.
Years from now, I think we'll all look back on games like Cod World War 2 as a time capsule of when video game companies just put all this crap in loot boxes and resorted to all sorts of disgusting tactics to sell them as if they forced you to open a supply drop to progress in multiplayer or be rewarded for watching other people open supply drops. Oh my God, that's how it was and that was before they saved us all. Loop boxes still give you garbage, unfortunately, you my pistol grip. the collection is in dire straits, my goodness, three grips that all look the same, there are three different rarities, what's the difference?
I don't even have close to the hundred and fifty-three pistol grips you need for the m1911 alone. Sorry, the 1911 couldn't do it. I don't even own the rights to the gun names, dude. Sorry to all my pistol grip fans who expected more from me. I'm sorry to have disappointed you. I mean, I'm the real one. I've never been interested. Call of Duty's soldier customization has never been as captivating as the Spartans in Halo or even Titanfall, you know, upon reflection, the HQ was actually a pretty good concept. I didn't like it at first because I thought it was just copying fate and maybe it was, but you know, being able to try out weapons with different attachments and trying out all the different killstreaks, you know, walking around and seeing other players interacting with them. .
You know, going to the pot 1v1 was really amazing. I have some. There are actually good memories there, but the supply drops ruined every drop of freshness this place had and turned it into something bad. Now what about multiplayer? I will say that I didn't point out some of the positive aspects of WWII multiplayer. I still hate Maps Gustav cannon it's still not that bad, they have two new free maps, I think Valkyrie and shipping, and they are as flat as all the others. I actually can't find this map in custom games, so I don't know what's up with that.
I wanted to see how many maps the game added and it looks like it just did: with no paid DLC, Holytits, Modern Warfare just blows this game out of the water and maps, there's something I didn't highlight. my review despite the simplicity and brain dead nature of the maps at least you know you're going to get some action you pretty much know when you turn that corner in war mode there's going to be two or three guys there and you know. that Call of Duty ghosts aren't real, you honestly don't believe that story is true, he can't hurt you, he can't stop you from shooting people in a Call of Duty game and you're safe and sound playing War II World.
You know, after Modern Warfare 2019, I think I realized that there's a pretty difficult balance to strike between ultra-simplistic and overly complex map design or whether you just make each map somewhere in the middle or at least have a good mix. from both. which I think is what Infinity Ward has managed to do with some of their newer DLC maps. All I want to point out is that there is something to be said for a game that lets you jump into the action right away. I still think it's funny that you can do it. I don't really jump over anything, they just feel like blocks on a grid, plus the war mode is really horrible because of the map layout and how restrictive it is.
I can't imagine playing this game for long and I really didn't. I think I have less than 24 hours of play time, while the war mode had potential, it essentially forces eight or nine players into three separate positions and that gets old very quickly, what also gets old are the horrible and annoying voice actors who just never shut up and call the targets weird things it's like reducing build the bridge stop the enemy from building the bridge the enemy is building a bridge the bridge is being the bridge it just goes on and on and on especially since this is world war ii and they only have Germans and Americans, you know, the world at war develops things with the Japanese announcer in the Russian announcer.
I feel like Cod games need like three or four minimums. I mean, again, you compare it to ground warfare and how revolutionary maps are. they're there, it's just that there's no competition whatsoever, why would I want to play a huge explosion mode where I can't use killstreaks? There's the number one problem with the war mode, but you know, maybe this was just a stepping stone that needed to be done. To be able to get to the ground war, so I can appreciate this, you can also get faster kill streaks and domination and other modes, they increase the points per kill, it's 75 compared to 55 kills for a reconnaissance plane, right? a little extreme? especially in domination, sometimes you can play an entire game where the only thing a player gets is a reconnaissance plane.
I mean, talking about boring now I'm not going to lie. I had some fun with the multiplayer for a while, but not enough to continue. I'm playing or saying: Hey, I'll really want to have this weapon attached beyond all that, but I have a little more respect for it. The gunplay is still pretty good. It's strange how some weapons have no recoil and LMGs can aim. aim super fast. I love the feel, the harshness and the greed of modern warfare, so much more, it feels a little cartoony now that they've added a bunch of new perks it seems, and I remember hating how they handled the perks because you only picked one. and then the division teams would give you other benefits.
I mean, it's the same thing, just benefits in one class, so why not have them in a singular selection or like three categories or whatever? Has no sense. For me, they also added a bunch of new weapons that I can't use because I don't have enough loot boxes and no, I'm not going to grind for them. The game recycles 17 of World at War's weapons out of 32 options, that's what. more than half the selection, okay, I criticized the variety of weapons, but you passed through there too. You have to give some points for the map vote, as well as a very underrated feature submission and the map selection is more or less the same.
Overall, multiplayer is still not my cup of tea. of tea I appreciate the new things they tried and added with the customization and weapons, but I still think the perk system is horrible, now the gunplay is okay, but I can't play this game for long without wanting to do something else , okay, zombies, man, let's see zombies. I've come to love and enjoy the more modern version of zombies, which is more complex and has more quests, things to do and keep track of, skills, attachments and mmm things. I really loved Black Ops 4's zombies mode, in fact the zombies have more customization than the actual multiplayer and that's not a good thing, so while I had several complaints about the customization, Treyarch has made me see how those Elements can be fun, even if I still think it's a bit complicated, I'm willing to take a step forward. world war ii zombies a little more credit you can customize everything if that's what you like.
Now I have a more open mind. I no longer think this zombies mode is total garbage, but it still has no soul, no ER style or anything like that. I've been playing Advanced Warfare 2 and even EXO zombies has more personality than this and that's sad, the characters pretty much just talked about what to do next and again Black Ops for Zombies had some great characters new and old, the constant grunting has been gone. gone. The characters you play don't have any funny or memorable lines except constantly growling all the time. I think it's really funny that that doesn't happen anymore and all the jump scares are gone too, although they still repeat certain phrases a lot.
I have a little more respect for zombies. I still feel pretty much the same way I do about multiplayer. It's like it's not necessarily the

worst

thing in the world, maybe for me it is, but even I say if there wasn't another Call of. Duty games that existonce existed. He would do it, he would play this one. Okay, let me put it that way. There were no other Call of Duty games. I would probably play Cod World War Two. At first I wasn't really interested in this mode. Do you know what it is. just one map and I didn't really put in the effort to unlock attachments or anything so I don't care, you know, when this game came out and then I wanted to play zombies.
I just went back to the older games, they were better, I think it's Great, the map will highlight and tell you what to do next, but with my team of experts consisting of two eight year olds and one person who is angry for 45 minutes , we couldn't make a big splash, you know, at the end of the day. Call of Duty World War Two is a little better than I initially thought and said in my review two and a half years ago. The thing is, there isn't much to praise about this game, especially compared to its other contemporaries and/or. or the games in the series, the only thing it really offers now is to be like a newer WWII game, but if that's what you want then Battlefield 5 maybe and if you have some more dignity probably just go back to the battlefield 1.I'll take bf 1 over cod world war 2 any day and the thing is when call of

duty

is an annual franchise and you don't like it the good thing is you can all you have to do It's waiting a year.
I was totally willing to do that for Black Ops 4, which I then disliked the multiplayer and just enjoy the blackout and zombies in general. The multiplayer is still shallow, even if you can get killstreaks faster, which is something they changed. It's a shame Call of Duty. Going back to the World War was so boring and even now it's still boring, mate, it's been really great, but now that I've visited you again we can put all this behind us and I can completely forget that you ever existed, isn't that life? so great? That's all for today guys, thanks everyone for watching the video, if you enjoyed it please subscribe to Act Man for more great content.
