JABRA ELITE ACTIVE 75T Earbuds [Big Bass, Big Battery, Small Earbuds]

Jun 03, 2021
okay it's headphone season right now we have a lot coming out of the galaxy headphones besides the Sennheiser's and Bang & Olufsen ee8 we have the jabbers right here a lot of headphones coming out and these are the Jabra

elite

active

75t headphones besides just be a really long and annoying name to say are actually a really impressive pair of headphones, so you may notice that they look familiar in this video. I'll dive in and tell you everything you need to know about these headphones, plus mention some comparisons. between these and the familiar previous model, the Jabra

elite

75 T, you'll notice it's a similar name just without

active

, which is pretty self explanatory with what the objective difference is between these two, so obviously the actives here are intended for exercise or are intended for exercise. for running and living a more active lifestyle, so we'll touch on that and see how true that actually is, but I want to start with a physical tour of these headphones.

The case here is something I've been a big fan of. I like the previous model its shape and size. I like how you can put it on a table and open it and see the headphones there and charge them in the back. I just really like this design, you have the magnetic closure on the The lid on there is a pretty nice magnet where it closes with a click, it never actually opens and it's not too difficult to open with one hand, so I think They definitely did a good job designing this case, a difference so far. is that both, you know, this and the previous model are polycarbonate cases, but the assets here are coated with a kind of soft or rubbery feel.

More Interesting Facts About,

I think it is a paint or silicone coating that should improve the water. resistance, the water rating that we also see on the headphones and I'll talk about that a little bit later in the video. Now, the case on the front you'll see they have that nice color on the logo, there's three of them right there. You can get different colors, there's a navy blue one, there's a titanium black one and then this one here is the copper black one, which I think looks really nice. You can see the

earbuds

and they also have that nice copper color on the buttons on the outside. and then it combines very well with black.

I think they look very good. They have a seven and a half hour

battery

life on the

earbuds

and then 28 hours when you include the case, which is very impressive and when you look at the charging times. They're a little less impressive, but it's really not a big deal for me, so unfortunately you won't charge this wirelessly, it doesn't have Qi wireless charging, but you will charge it on the back with a USB Type C port right there. right next to the little LED indicator light and charging times, after 15 minutes of charging you should have an hour of listening time which is pretty good, definitely not the best fast charging out there but it's nice to have that , then we also have for the entire charge from 0 to 100%, it should take about two and a half hours to charge them, which, like I said, is definitely not impressive, but considering that you know it's a pretty big

battery

, it makes sense that take with a little time these connect with bluetooth 5.0 and have a master/slave connection which means your phone connects to the right earbud and then the left earbud connects to the right earbud which unfortunately means you can't listen only to the left earphone.

It's a

small

inconvenience, but when you work out with these, you'll most likely have two headphones on at the same time. If you look at the earbuds you'll see they have two microphones on each earbud so one on the outside and one on the bottom, we'll test that in just a minute, then on the inside we have our proximity sensor that allows you to play and pause automatically when you put them in or take them out of your ears. We have the two nodes. right there to charge in the case and in fact these hold magnetically on the case so if you look at that you can shake the case really hard and they never come out you'll see these I have a physical button on each earbud and it's really nice, it's a nice big button, easy to touch and it's a very smooth activation that doesn't make a loud sound in your ear.
I never accidentally press it and I have physical buttons for especially Active Headphones I think they are really nice compared to the capacitive touch sensors that we normally see because you can use them, let's say you are running in the winter and you have gloves on, you can't use a cap touch sensor with your gloves. Then you would have to take off your gloves and change the volume or the song or something, while the buttons work fine no matter what you have on your hands and in the same way, if your hands are wet, they work too. better with these than with a touch sensor too, so that's something I really like about these headphones.
Now let's get into the microphone test and see how good it actually sounds, so we're right next to a pretty loud one right now. and this is the microphone test so see if you can actually hear what I'm saying if you can comment below and let me know what you think of the microphones on the headset so check out the differences here between the 75 T and the normal. and the active ones there are really three types of

small

differences, the first is the water resistance which is probably the biggest difference so ip55 was what they had on the non active ones and these are ip57 so really the first digit are the five.
It's going to be your resistance to dust and dirt, they're both the same and then the second digit is five or seven, so 55 57 is going to be your water resistance, so non-active means you can shoot a stream of water at any angle. towards them and they won't have any damage, which means you can sweat, you can be running in the rain, someone could throw a bucket of water on you, you could be running and get hit with a fire hose and you should be fine, so you know if there is some damage. That happens to you frequently, no problem, now you are good, the seven means you can submerge them, so if you are running and often fall into lakes or swim underwater accidentally, then the active 75 will be the one for you .
I don't necessarily recommend swimming with these, I admit I haven't tried it, but I don't think people would want to swim with these headphones on. I feel like it's very likely to fall out of your ear and sink to the bottom, but if you're in a pool, I mean, maybe try it if anyone's tried it, comment, let me know if that's something you'd do. The second difference is the colors. I'll show you on the screen right now what the colors are and then the third one. The difference is that the price is that the new ones are twenty dollars extra, so it's a very subtle difference, but I'll leave links in the description, maybe if they're on sale they could be the same price and they could both be cheaper. so check it out if you're interested, so a couple hundred dollar aside is a good deal or it's really expensive now.
I'd say it's actually pretty cheap considering what you get with these headphones, and in fact I will be. comparing them to some more premium models like the Sennheiser and the Air Pods and a lot of other more expensive models that are in the $250 to $350 range, so if you want to see that comparison, make sure you scroll down and click subscribe. and the bell icon. I will post that video very soon. These go very far into your ear and also create a very nice seal on the inside, which means you get better

bass

on these, which I'll talk about audio quality in a minute, but they don't fall out either, so if you I put them back in my ear you put them on after twisting them very slightly and then if you can shake them as much as you want and they never fall out so I found that these are In fact you know one of the best ones for passive noise blocking and for fit when you exercise despite not having spikes.
I wouldn't really say that these are a great pair of headphones when it comes to fitting your ears and now getting into the audio. quality, these have six millimeter speakers on board and there's really one obvious thing about these speakers and that is that they have incredible

bass

and it's almost hard to judge the rest of the audio because that's the main thing they focus on, and if you are exercising for me. I think it's great to have a lot of my workout music, which will be more different than the harder type of rap rock and having a lot of bass is definitely very beneficial when you try it.
To sort it out now, if you're listening to softer acoustic music, then it might be too much bass for you because I'll show you the app in a second, but even when you turn it down to the minimum, you turn on the equalizer. so the bass is minimized, there is still a lot of bass there, describing the audio quality here. I would say that the bass of course is absolutely seismic, it is really very loud and could easily be too much, probably enough to even damage your ears if you turn it up too much, of course you have full control over that in the app so which you won't hurt your ears unless you really want it to, then the midrange is definitely present, isn't it, you don't have the same clarity as the Sennheiser, but it definitely sounds very good and then the treble is a little less prominent like the mids and bass of course as these are bass heavy headphones and I wouldn't necessarily describe them as the warmest sounding headphones or the most level. balanced, it's obviously very heavy on the bass side and I mean, I know I said bass like 10 times in the last two sentences, but I really can't emphasize enough how much bass they actually have, it's crazy, so let's get into the app now and let's take a look at what we are working on here now when I log in one thing I noticed is that it says there is an update available and I looked into it the update is supposed to improve connectivity with these because at launch they had an issue where it is heard. it was a little iffy, a little spotty on the right click and then they also had other issues that they apparently resolved with this update.
Unfortunately, I can't do this update if I say update now and do that. Let's say the update failed in about 10 seconds right there, so I'll contact Jabra to see what happened there. I don't know if it's something with my phone, my app, what's going on, but looking at this app here at the top, you have three different presets, you have my moment, you have commute and then you have focus and it's nice that you can have some quick settings right there, so if you say like my moment, whatever a certain equalizer is, you can have it here. or off, you can turn it down and change pretty much anything you want here and you can also see here, you know different levels too, so you can turn it all the way down like I said, you can turn it all the way up to have like absolutely superhuman hearing and pretty much anywhere in between.
I think for listening to sounds it's pretty good, there is a bit of white noise but otherwise it definitely serves its purpose. The equalizer, of course, you can go down to the music presets. There are six. of them right there, of course, you can go and add your own if you want or you can adjust them right there and I usually leave them, sometimes I save them and adjust them right there, but energize is probably the option. one I use is definitely a little bit heavier on the bass but if I'm working out it's one I like to turn down, the last thing is really interesting here, you don't see this in a lot of headphone apps so if you're sitting there and want to put this on , but you don't necessarily want to listen to music.
You can go and play. You know, ocean waves or rain or something. If we go up to the top right, you'll see that. We have our battery right there for the headphones. If we go to the headphones, they tell you the headphones and the battery in the case. You can download them if you know if an update is available. I can't understand her. What's happening with Jabra? then we can go to the voice assistant, these are enabled for Amazon Alexa. Going down, we have the headset settings, where you can go into the audio experience and you know, just do some basic things there, you can go down into the calling experience and change what it's like when you're on a phone call, so if you have your side tone, which is like being able to hear yourself, is basically here while you're on a phone call, so you can go down to change some other things and have an equalizer for your phone. call now, that's not the microphone, that's what other people's voices sound like to you, you can change it to be higher or lower, so we found my Jabra, which allows you to find the headphones right there and something interesting about these is that they use GPS, but they don't actually have the chirping sound that we've seen in other headphones, so if you lose them you'll know within GPS range where you last connected, so your phone will basically drop a sound . pin and it's good to know if you left them onyour car or at work or something, but if you're in the same room as them it won't really be of much use, these can also be paired with up to eight devices. but connect the two simultaneously which is really good as you can connect two phones or your phone on your laptop when watching YouTube videos.
I think lag is not an issue with these, nor is comfort. I can easily wear them for four or five hours straight without having to take them out after a while while your ears get hot and you just want to air them out anyway, so that's the limit of my comfort, it's not because they start to hurt or anything. the style, which I think is the success for the jobbers parts, okay, so that was a lot. There isn't much information, but we get into the pros and cons. The pros. I love the shape, size, and overall mechanical design of these headphones.
I think Jabra really did it here. I think other headphones should look at them for inspiration for future designs. great job packing a very long lasting battery into a very small design and like I said, I really like everything about the design except that it doesn't have Chiyu wireless charging. It would be nice if they had that, of course, it's very small. area at the bottom and I think that's why other pros don't have it. I think the base is absolutely amazing with these, it's very loud, very prominent and if you're listening to rock, EDM, rap or any music you want. lots of bass, these are really the earbuds you should get as there is nothing that has better bass in truly wireless earbuds than anything I have tried so far, another pro is the mechanical buttons here which again ties into the mechanical design that I said it's just an excellent design of the work or as part now getting into the disadvantages and there are some subtle ones, one as I said is that not having wireless charging is not a big deal, although they don't have any buttons either. customization, they also have a pretty long charging time if you charge it overnight it's not a big deal and lastly the lack of mode just because they have the master-slave connection is another drawback but overall those are really small drawbacks , They are excellent. headphones between two of these and the originals, although like the non-active 75 T.
I don't know if there's enough difference that if you have them you should update them. I think it would be a bit silly to update them just for the purpose of making them a little better. better water resistance I mean, I really don't think I would ever submerge them, but you know, having extra colors if you're on the fence when trying to buy them, I would say get the newer ones. I like colors. better, but that's just my opinion, let me know what you think in the comments below, as always, thanks everyone for watching, see you next time.
