The cabin was cleaned very well compared to the old box. I'm surprised how much of this original green color showed up. underneath that surface is

rust

so the CLR worked pretty well to clean it now where this heavy

rust

is on the flat panels like the top of the hood roof which didn't clean as well but looks really cool. Look at it, I love these old door logos here, in fact, you can see this one really well now, so it's outlined and just mother nature's paint job here just outlining that natural patina on the inside. I pressure washed it as best we could.

The paint came off the dash and the door jamb areas had to clean that seat up a bit like I said on the box, obviously this truck had been painting it at some point in a whitish orange or red color. maybe a couple different paint jobs to make the bed look a little different than the cabin. The back deck here is as good as it can be. It has a little rust here on the front edge and it took a good job as well. uh something with a lot of weight that was probably placed here and was on top of that box and also in the cabin, so uh.

The wheels were cleaned. The pretty nice wheels look new even though they are who knows how old, so I guess Next thing we're going to do is try to clean this truck with some heavy duty linseed oil. It's really going to bring out a lot of these colors on the truck, so it's going to make the grain a lot more vibrant and also the rest of these colors, so we're going to mix a little bit of that in, just start applying it around the truck and see how it looks after that, so just a little bit of this really goes a long way, you want to clean it as fine as possible and also in direct sunlight, it will help it dry because you can see how much more that green looks just by just wiping it in there and, literally anyone can do this, it's as easy as wetting your rag and rubbing the panels try to do half of this hood here to show a little before and after, try to stay away from crumbs and such, don't wipe it off, just keep it on the metal sheet that looks good so you guys can notice it.

There's quite a bit of difference here compared to where I wiped this linseed oil and how it was, so it really enriches these colors. It will last about a couple of months depending on where you store the vehicle, so after a couple of months you may have to reapply, but it will actually preserve the sheet metal better than just leaving it exposed like that, it kind of protects it. of the element. We'll continue to go all the way through the truck, it's really going to make these colors come to life and give it the look we're going for.
