Leadership is perhaps one of the most misunderstood topics in business. Leadership has nothing to do with rank. I know many people who are at the highest levels of an organization who are not

they tell us because they have authority over us, but we do. We don't trust them and we don't follow them. I also know people at lower levels of organizations who have no formal authority but have made the decision to care for the person to their left. The decision to care for the person to whom the right of them and we would trust them and follow them anywhere

ship is the incredible responsibility of seeing those around us rise each of us can choose to be the leader we wish we had, we lead our teams and we can lead our clients when we decide that we will do everything in our power to see them grow and see them achieve their ambitions and their dreams and this is

servant leadership means.

I serve your dreams instead of you serving my results and it's totally okay to have financial goals. It's totally fine to have metrics because that becomes proof of value that someone wants to give you their money because they believe in you. It's proof positive, but the best leaders I know are students of leadership, there are no experts. leader does not exist as if there is no expert parent, there is no, right, we are students of leadership and even the most veteran leaders constantly read books, read articles, watch talks, have conversations all the time about the leadership that they are. always in learning mode and I believe that for anyone who wants to be a leader, you must choose to be a student of the subject like anything, if you want to be good at something, you must study it and the most overlooked characteristic of leadership.

I know we talk about vision and charisma. Yes, these are important, but I have met some wonderful leaders who don't have a grand vision to change the world. I have met some wonderful leaders who are quiet and sit in the corner, but they all have courage. courage to advance a vision courage to ignore the short-term ups and downs of business courage to take risks on people courage to believe in people courage to tell the truth so you can courage to do the right thing and have integrity I Think that courage is a highly underrated characteristic of leadership.
