I think I made the biggest mistake in the world selling that car. He got rid of the golden wings, which was the biggest mistake. Pagani may have had the Mistral. I looked at it for five seconds and just passed it by. I think it was a great thing. So here we are two weeks into Monterey Car Week

I like it and I don't like it, let's talk about what happened in car week right now, before we do that, just think that 16 years ago today was essentially the launch of the Bugatti Veyron here in the United States and with a price tag of a million dollars was the epitome of automotive excellence across the board and power comfort speed all categories won bugatti now in

I guess the definition I'll use for hyper is more than a million. dollars, the base price of these cars is no longer a million, they are closer to four million, the new bugatti mistral, which I think was, in my opinion, the biggest loser of car week. I think it was so anticipated and so hyped that bugatti was going to create something, they always said we were never going to make a shiron convertible and they didn't make a chiron convertible, they made a roofless car that looked like a devo right and now five million dollars, obviously Bugatti has no problems selling. these cars, but if you own a bugatti and you have a shiron a shiran pure sport shiron super sport a devo a chentorodici then now you have the mistral what is the limit, you know, last year bugatti brought out the bleeding which was absolutely impressive the design it was phenomenal the power to weight ratio was incredible 650 horsepower i couldn't even believe that was a real thing bugatti would do i mean it literally blew my mind like that the mistral i didn't even look at it for five seconds and i just put it aside because Not only do people never drive a Bugatti to begin with, but for five million dollars, it has no roof and I don't think the Audi group has learned the lesson that the Centenary Roadster, the Poison Roadster or All Seon Roadsters they come without a roof and I don't think they are very desirable, yes people buy them but they never change hands after that you know it's because they depreciate correctly and a lot of manufacturers don't want to make an asset that depreciates especially in those categories because limit your exposure for next time, but bugatti for some reason decided to make a ruthless bugatti chiron and i think it was a huge failure compared to koenigsegg who came out with the cc-850 which was just perfect.

It was literally perfect in every way. I was able to see the car before it was released. I was able to secure an allocation for one car and I believe that car is in every way what automakers should use as a benchmark. Now uses Koenigsegg DNA. its the original dna of the car i mean when you look at the original cc8 to the ccx to aguera you can see they all have the same design language now the rugera and the new yes they have dramatically changed the design language now they obviously look like a koenigsegg They feel like a Koenigsegg but they are new cars and for good reason I mean we want new cars right I think the Jessica is probably the most beautiful car that is on the road today or will be on the road today I think. the design language of that car is impressive, meaning it's very extreme, but it also has this simplicity and conveys the beauty so well in so many different variations, with the absolute being the highest speed version and the attack being the most aggressive street version or racing version, it behaves well, but the cc 850 is elegant, it almost leaves me speechless because I tell you when I saw that car for the first time and you explained that car to me. about three or four months before and they offered me the opportunity to buy one and I said well I really don't know you know the three and a half million dollar base of the car and yes it will have a jesco power plant but it will be out of tune and it wasn't very sure because you know that it is difficult to modernize old cars, but the cca 50 came out impeccable with the manual gearbox, something that was not told to me three months ago and if I had known it was a manual gearbox, I would have said absolutely yes, no matter what it would be like, yeah, here's my money, take my order, but we were able to get one at the end of car week, which is great because that car is white or a very soft color.

was launched. It's really hard to give an opinion because it's hard to give an opinion on a car that you can't see in person, I can tell you that. You, the cc-850 looks amazing, its proportions are nothing like real life. Now I think Pagani is too busy with the doors and sides. They got rid of the gullwing, which was the biggest failure Pagani could. If they had added the manual transmission, which was the biggest win they could have had, so I think they went both ways as far as the physical aesthetics of the car, there are design elements that are beautiful, I think the rear section of the car is Very nice, I think the exposed linear taillights with an almost transparent look where they float between the rear fenders is a cool design, the front is too busy, no dimension on the side. of the car, the profile looks very cool, it has very flat lines, like from the beginning of the millennium.

That confused me a lot because the wira was very curved and elegant and you know I have a

cable and that car to me is magnificent the mirrors on the wyra float perfectly on the car this one has like a hangman style mirror and it was why change something that it works so well you know, im sure there is a reason but the

mirrors on the utopia are absolutely a Baja, it seems to me that Pagani made a cheap version or an entry level car, right, that was my first impression. The interior is a lot to take in.
There are many different partitions inside that feel out of place. Place the main focal point at sort of an angle right where it's almost square, but then folds into a rounded edge. I don't know, I feel like the car was rushed. The element of modern switches doesn't really mix with all the gauges. Analog there are many indicators, so I would like to understand why so many correct threes are usually adequate. I think this one has four or five. I don't know the roof glass. There are so many different parts of this car that don't really match up.
It makes sense, you know so far from all the comments I've read. I don't think I'm alone in my thoughts now that the car is actually affordable. I mean when I say affordable it's a million less than the cc-850 but I think I would rather pay two million dollars more for a cc-850 compared to the utopia based on how well Koenigsegg executed the entire product now like I said , utopia has beautiful elements, the back is beautiful but the profile is uncomfortable at the front. The finish is ugly, the roof lines are bubbly and it has a folded windshield much like a race car.
The wheels are very nice, it has a 22 so it probably has a thinner tire, probably a 325, not the best when you have 355 or 345 options. on other cars you know the Pagani cable has a rear tire of 355 with only 700, I think at 70 horsepower on a cable, you still lose traction quite often, so with 800 more horsepower, 850 more horsepower, you'll definitely need more tires on there than less than me. I don't know, I think in general, if you have to compare, I would assume that Pagani needed to rush a car to stay relevant and they weren't prepared to do that.
Is the car terrible? No, is the car good? No, it's right there in the middle and I think if any of the 99 customers who have already ordered those cars might think better of it after seeing the physical car in person. You know, I know a lot of people went to the factory and got to see it, but doesn't it just not do it justice? So I think to finish this video I've decided to be a fanboy and really support a brand and for me obviously you guys can say it's going to be Koenigsegg, I don't see it.
I myself am shifting gears and owning multiple cars for multiple manufacturers. I think right now, if you're in a position to buy these cars, I think sticking with one brand makes more sense to have a Bugatti and a Pagani and have all these other cars. It's great, but when you have the opportunity to buy multiple products under one brand, you can get better allocations, better specifications, unique models, unique specifications, it just feels better to have a phone call like you can call people who work at Koenigsegg in my cell phone if I have a problem and they answer the phone well and that is the same for pagani, the same for bugatti, right, those people all serve their customers, but I think they want to serve the people who support them the most, like this that for I, you know, I want to support Koenigsegg to the fullest and I will never sell my Veyron.
I think the cars are amazing. I think the original cars like the Wyra, the Veyron and the Zonda, of course, those cars are part of history, the CCX and can. It won't be replaced, but I think in the future when everything becomes hybrid and electric and technologically excessive, it will be a disaster, so to add one more amazing thing to the cc-8, they managed to not only make it a manual gearbox. but it also has a fully automatic mode, which is pretty wicked. I mean, with Pagani you have to buy both cars, you know, with Bugatti you only get a DCT, so I think of the three cars that are here, I would love it.
Listen to your opinions on my opinion because I have very direct opinions and I am very open and honest about my opinions and I share them freely because that's who I am and I know that bothers a lot of people and a lot of people. Go to the section and try to give me reasons why I'm wrong but that's what makes an opinion an opinion and that's why there are different options for everyone so I chose to support Koenigsegg and I think that in two and a half of the year we will see the cc 850 here in Las Vegas, probably the Jessica first.
I think those cars will be benchmarks for the future. It will only make my omen go up in value. Hopefully by then I can. to track down another ccx because I think I made the biggest mistake in the world selling that car and I knew it, I knew it's Tony's fault honestly guys email him and tell him how much it sucks because he pushed me to do it. I sold that car and I shouldn't have sold it. I don't know why I did it. It was just a moment of weakness, but I'm going to try to buy that car back and have the entire Koenigsegg family line in my garage.
It's my goal for when I get there, you know, maybe two years from now 36 37 years. I would love to have the cc-8 up to cca50. That's my goal, to have each one of them along the way. way not all special editions all models cc8 ccx aguera rug was yeah wow and cc 850.
