Good morning everyone, thank you tedx Center is a US university for giving me this opportunity and the honor of sharing my experiences with this fantastic audience on this esteemed platform. It was a hot summer afternoon in a train car without air conditioning. Had three years. years old and I was very talkative and I absolutely enjoyed the attention I got from everyone around me and the old man sitting in front of us asked me what your name is little one and I said Lena and he said oh wow, what a beautiful name, what does it mean? I looked at my parents and they didn't seem to have an answer either.

Oh, I can still feel the discomfort and confusion that question created in me at that age when I learned that the subject of this event is Elaine the Lightning. of light I couldn't help but think about the connection that Lena has with my name. Most of the people I know, almost all of them ask me the meaning of my name since that day and for a long time it was a source of shame and confusion for me. and then I entered cinema and struggled even more with this unusual name, uncommon in India, and then at the age of 25, my dear friend, whom I call Anita, aunty, gave me a keychain with my name and the meaning of my name embedded in And lo and behold, I realized that Lena means light.

What a relief it was the next time an interviewer asked me the meaning of my name.
