I bought it at Hobby Lobby. It was $149 plus 50% off or 40% off, so I painted between the two. stripes there with my folk art summer porch, but if you have a little bit darker yellow it might be better and then I painted the face too and then I went ahead and painted the other stripes and the antennae black and I painted the wings with my paint Waverly Tralk in white color, once everything was dry I used my Cricut to create these decals or stencils and put them on my sign and I'm just going over the Honeycombs with that same summer porch color and then I'm Going over the text with my Waverly ink, which is black, and once I have it all completed here, I won't show you all that.

I'm going to remove all the stencil paper or vinyl and then I went to my little one and I'm going to create some eyes by tracing around that glue stick and then around my paint brush and I'm going to use my paint markers, sorry, to color each eye I'm using. White around the outside and black around the middle and then I took my black ink marker here or Paint Marker oh my gosh, it's early guys. I'm still trying to wake up. I went through my wings and I also circled the face with that just to give it some life and then I created a little mouth after that and I grabbed that paint marker and I went ahead and circled my sign to make some stitch marks and then I grabbed this fence from the Dollar Tree and I'm removing it.

I'm cutting out the pieces that were on the side and then I'm going to cut out the little pieces on the bottom as well after that, I took my glue and I'm going to surround that diamond shape with it and I'm going to use a little bit of hot glue too and then I'm going to I'm going to stick my little sign right in the middle of my fence piece and then I'm going to use a little bit more of that glue, I'm going to fix all the glue and the hot glue and I'm going to glue my being on the fence, it's the head part, It's on my sign and then the rest is on the fence, look how pretty it is and then I grabbed some of these flowers, I'm sorry, they came from Walmart, they were 97 cents for the whole selection and I'm going to gather them together and wrap them with twine, it sorry guys, and then I'll tie a knot in that twine and I'll stick it in front of my photo here and then I'm going to create a bow, oh, before I do that, I took some floral wire and I went around the flowers and I tied them to the fence that way, oh my God, that way, that way, if it's outside or in front of a front. door or whatever you know, hot glue can melt with heat so that way it still stays attached with the wires.

I'm going to make a double bow, a double bow here by making the awareness ribbon, scrunching it up in the middle and then I'm going to wrap it with some yarn in a J shape, tie it tight and then join the ends together, which is just folding the ends together and cut them at an angle, then I just use a little bit of hot glue in there and then I just put some thread through the holes that are in that picture, the original holes for hanging and tying some knots, they came to the length I wanted and then they added some little bees that came from Dollar Tree and I think this is adorable, it would be great on the back. patio your front porch a door hanger I love it, you have to tell me what you think about it too.
Well today is the five under five

challenge

where we do everything for under $5 and it's hosted every month by Emily with Farm turn Chic. and this month's guest host is Lisa with our Greyhouse. They are both amazing and talented so be sure to check out their channels and playlist. I'll have links to all of them in the description box below okay DIY number two so I'm going to grab this shovel from Dollar Tree and cut it up. I used my miter saw and cut the handle and then painted the blade part. I guess that's what you call it with my Waverly chalk paint in the ink color. and now I'm going to apply a thick coat over all of this, if you recreate this, you're going to want to make sure you apply a finishing spray, a protective spray on top of it.
I took that box and painted it with my maze. by Waverly and I also painted the handle on this and then I'm taking a CH paint marker. I think it's a chalk marker, I don't remember, but it's from Dollar Tree and I'm going to write the word welcome and I'm I'm just going to um, I'm actually writing very slowly here, but I've sped it up a lot just because I'm trying to do I hope my letters are very nice and I thought about writing welcome to the Garden, but I decided to just say welcome there, but You could welcome you to the garden or the front porch or something like that.
Then I added some floral foam to my box here and I'm just taking some different daisies and I'm going to fill them, fill that box with them. and these are all from Dollar Tree and um, I don't think any of my photos were a complete selection. I've used them before and then I'm just going to use wood glue and hot glue to attach that little scoop to the back. From my box I added a little bow. I just made a bow out of regular Sho yarn and then I added some of these little flowers that come from Hobby Lobby and I'm just going to glue some around it and that's it, this would be really cute. next to the front door or if you have a small table on your patio anywhere or even if you have a small garden, it would be very nice to place it there.
You could even make a real flower pot out of it and put it in. holes in the bottom or something or put a pot inside I don't have a good green thumb y'all so when it comes to planting flowers or something I just go with the fake one although I don't plant them but yeah I don't I don't have a green thumb, okay, I just want to take a moment here to thank you all again because I really appreciate, appreciate everyone. you who have subscribed and helped me get to where I am today and if you're new here, I'll just ask that you make sure you hit that red subscribe button before you leave.

I plan to do that so help me help you so I would really appreciate it. Make sure you hit that subscribe button before you leave and with all that, let's continue with the video. Well, here's DIY number three. Well, I'm going to do it. Grab one of these Dollar Tree signs and I'm just going to remove the tape ties that are around the front and use my heat gun to melt that glue and then like the first sign, I'm going to start tearing it off.
I took the paper off and sprayed it all with water and then scraped it off and then once I had it all done, I went ahead with my Waverly chalk paint on the colored gesso and I'm going to make a very thick, distressing paint. Above, it is almost completely painted but not completely painted. I don't know how to explain it, but it's just that I wanted some of that brown to show through just to give it a worn look and then I grabbed these pots that come. three for a125 at Dollar Tree and I'm going to paint them all the same color of gesso.
I had to do two coats on the outside of this um and then I just did around the top on the inside and then I took this stencil that I had, I bought it from Amazon and I'm going over it with my Waverly chalk paint in the color ink , I'm just going to go over the whole sign um with this or the whole stencil with this ink color and yeah, I should I ended up here anytime once it was done, I just went ahead and took it off and then went and washed my stencil and just I let it dry a little.
It had some little bleeding spots that I had to touch up, but then I took my painted pots here and this is just a regular paper punch. I need to buy just the normal crocodile. I have a big mouth but I can't fit this in the big mouth so yes I have that normal crocodile which makes it easier but this worked. I just had to work on it a little bit, then I made the holes that I marked on my board where I wanted to place them and then I'm using my big mouth. alligator to cut or make those holes through that and it cuts through it very easily and then I took a little bit more of that floral wire now if you don't have floral wire you can always use twine or twine or floss whatever. but I'm going to use my floral wire, I put it through the holes there and I'm just going to twist it real tight and then I'm going to trim off all the excess and I'm going to make it three of them crossing the bottom of my sign, then I fill them with a little bit of floral foam and I grabbed some more of these yellow flowers from Walmart that were only 97 and I just stuck them on there and you guys this cost me.
I don't count the painting. count the template um as three what is that about 350 no 375 right no three? I can't count 350 yeah um I took some of that tape that I got from there and I'm just going to glue this back on the sides like they were originally and although I had to play with one of the bows because they had it a little crooked, I don't know, it was weird, it was like the tail was one tail up and one tail down. It was kind of funny anyway. I had more Buffalo plaid ribbon from Dollar Tree that matches that ribbon, so I went ahead and made my hanger with that.
I just put some tape on the end and I'm going to push it in. the hole, put it through the other hole and then tie knots on the ends and that's all there was for this one, super

easy

but adorable, it will be really cute to hang if you have a flower garden or if you have, you know, uh. flower beds or whatever hanging this next to it will be really cute you could even fill this with real flowers like I said if you have a green thumb it would work well so it's time to celebrate your recreations and Kathy has been busy , he sent me all these adorable pictures of these things he made and then look at this cow he made, oh my gosh, he even put a little UTS on the bottom and oh how adorable, thank you Kathy and if you have a creation or recreation. that you would like me to show you, you can send photos to my email address listed there or you can send them to me via Instagram or Facebook Messenger, okay, do it yourself number four, okay, this one is super quick, quick and

easy

Well, maybe it won't be fast. but easy, I'm going to grab this selection here from Dollar Tree.
I'm going to remove the paper just like you did on the previous posters and once I've removed the paper I press it down and scrape it all off and then I painted one of those with my Ocean Waverly, one with Crimson Waverly and one with Waverly Fern and then I grabbed some of these stickers from Dollar Tree and I'm going to put them all up to say weeds for sale, you choose now. If you don't have a Cricut, I always say you can use stickers, so I thought I'd show you what you can do instead of stickers.
Now you can leave it like that if you wanted um. I'm going to do something a little different. I'm going to make a reverse stencil once I have these stickers. I think they come from Dollar Tree too, they've been in my stash forever, but I think yes They're not Dollar Tree, they're Hobby Lobby, but I think they're Dollar Tree and um, I was struggling here to get those little ones in their place and even though they weren't crooked, I had to take a z there and cut the bottom off so I could I would have a little bit of Dash, but this is just going to say you choose.
I thought it was funny. I saw it in that saying on Pinterest. I thought it was very funny. Because yes, anyone could come pick weeds for me. I'd be happy and wouldn't even TR Char him anyway once I have everything here I don't know why it took me so long to show it to you. I put some duct tape on my stick because I know how crazy I am. I understand when I paint and I'm going to go over it with my white chalk paint. I'm going to go over everything and then, um, if I was thinking, I would have done it like a so-so. go over the wording and yeah you see what I did but I went over everything and then once it was all dry I started to grab my little Cricut tool um.
Now you can get them at Dollar Tree, most of the time. At least for now I can see them at my Dollar Trees, but if you don't have a Cricut you can usually find them at Dollar.Tree and I'm picking out all of those stickers, just peeling them off. I had to reviewsome of them um because you know these are stickers at Dollar Tree uh they stuck a little bit or um man I can't I didn't talk this morning uh it leaked a little bit so I had to use my paint to touch it up a little, but it didn't take much and sometimes I'm just ripping this, part of the backup, uh, something like that.
I got stuck on it and I just have to poke it with my little chopping tool there, just like you saw me do right there, um, but I kind of love weeding and there's just something relaxing about it, so even with this I was just . kind of like oh yeah I'm just chilling and enjoying this so once I had it all I went ahead and used the color coordinating there and just did a little bit of distressing all over the place here's where I say I said it . I should have. a little distressed about the stickers um but yeah it's still really cute and uh I did this on each one of them and that's all there is to this it's super easy you can stick this on if you have a garden if you don't , I have rocks around my house and I'm going to stick them on the rocks.
I think it's really nice, but you should spray it with some kind of protective spray and probably have it where it's not going to rain, um, yeah, probably under a cover because it's MDF and it will fall apart, okay, here's DIY number five, like this I'm going to grab some of these plates from Dollar Tree, they come four or four in a package and these glasses, now, oh guys, I had trouble with this one. I cleaned everything. What I should have done is specially sanded the cups. I should have sanded them because of that slippery coating.
Fight. I painted everything with those colors as you see there. And then when it was all dry, I took this round paint. dobber and I'm going to make some polka dots to look like mushrooms now my plates turned out really nice I painted them all white because I wasn't thinking which one but it's probably good because it's almost like a base color um or a primer and then I painted them with the colors and they didn't peel, but my cups were peeling and I wasn't even using my hair, my air dryer or heat gun whatever you call it, I wasn't even using that, they were sitting drying me while I was painting everything and the paint was peeling. taking off and I'll show you in a moment I was very frustrated and running out of time; otherwise I would have gone and sanded them all so because I'm just using hot glue but if you recreate this I would recommend sanding number two first using uh like E6000 or fixing all the glue instead of hot glue , but look how it was chipping there and um, so I'm probably going to take it apart at some point and maybe re-sand it, but this would definitely make it need some kind of protective spray on it as well, but once I had them all on , they are very cute, they are little mushrooms and I just keep thinking about how cute they would look around my rocks and things in the backyard around my pool.
Oh, they would be just adorable, but look how cute they are. I just think they're adorable anyway, okay, so the final reveal will come right there. Come on, I'm going to try to post a video on Sunday, but I'm exhausted so I might not post it until Monday, so have your notification bells set, it'll be SU or Monday and make sure you see Emily. and Lisa's channels and be sure to check out the playlist and don't forget to hit the red subscribe button before you go and give me a thumbs up and comment on all that fun stuff and with all that being said guys I hope you have a blessed end of week and see you next bye-bye
