magnets that are black and gray I have some moss here this is a moss mat, some artificial tree branches and they are wired and then some mushrooms will decide later which ones to use, so here is my second hand piece that I have had for quite a while and finally decided what to do with it. I love a thrift store like this, it's great quality so it's been sitting still for a while, it's a little dusty.

I'm going to take some cleaner and spray it in there and wipe it all down until the fingerprints and dust are gone. It turned out nice and clean, we always want to start with a clean piece, especially when it's second hand, you don't know what its previous life was at that time, I'm going to take my artificial branches, I chose the artificial branches well because I have them. and I love how they look, but I can also bend them to have a little more leniency with my design, but of course you can get branches from the outside if you want, so I like how this looks and I would appreciate it.

Visualize this at an angle, so I'm going to make this look like maybe it's a tree, a tree in the forest, maybe on a hill. I'm going to use my glue and, as you know, put a little bit in there. I want to make sure it doesn't move, it will take a minute or two for it to set and harden and then under the largest part of the branches I will also add a little glue for stability. I'm going to add this matte moss, it's very stretchy, the material underneath comes from t, but you can use any type of moss that you have and you can put it on hand if you buy a package from Dollar Tree and just you know, but this does it a little faster and it will look a little different and now it looks like I wanted it, it looks like it's on a heel, off to the side, hanging over a hill or a bit of a cliff, I love it, just add glue where needed to push everything up down and into place and I want to make sure there are no gaps between the moss and the side of this piece.

I call this a round wood because it's round and it has an edge, but I'm not exactly sure what you would call this piece, what you would call this. I don't know, I really don't know, so I'm going to take some of those mushrooms and I'm going to add them to the piece now because I want this to be kind of a forest core or a moody forest aspect in this particular project. , these mushrooms are foam, so they can be cut very easily. I'm going to cut them on a slant so it almost looks like they're growing to one side, it gives it a little more dimension and then I'll cut the other one too, you can see, just cut it on a slant, that's easy, you can definitely get mushrooms from the Dollar Tree and you can use them if they're too big just cut them in half use

foam knife and cut them in half so I'm going to put a couple of mushrooms in and then I'm also going to put some on the mushroom cap so it sticks. to the bottom.

I love Moss rugs. I did a teu tour probably last fall, maybe in the summer, where I bought a bunch of Moss rugs and they are beautiful. Well, these have a little magnet in the body right underneath. You've already seen me. Use these butterflies in different projects. I think it was the wallpaper, uh, decoration I did recently. I used these butterflies. It's a small magazine, but it's pretty strong, but I decided to use them, as you know, as a sticker like you would use. a sticker or any applique just because it has a magnet doesn't mean it should be used that way, we have to think outside the box when we have our pieces so I'll add some hot glue after I decide roughly where I want them to be and start to add them to the branches.

This would also be great if you had moths. I think this would be really cool because it almost looks like it's night with a black background, so the moths will definitely be nice here, but you know this is more of a fantasy piece, so I'm okay with them being black butterflies. Alright, I

I've had a lot of requests for them and that's why you've seen me doing a lot of them lately because they're flexible, you can actually move them to different positions, you can have the wings up, you can spread them flat and you can have them slightly bent, so go, I'm showing you a variety of that throughout this piece, they're all made the same.

You can use a plain wooden round instead of one with sides. You can also make butterfly stickers. You could use colored butterflies. You could use packs of paper butterflies from Dollar Tree. If you wish, you can use branches from your garden. You could use a floral toothpick instead of using a branch. You can do all those things, if you want. Driveway I'm going to cut this branch into smaller pieces and while I'm at it I'm going to make sure to clean the dome to get all the fingerprints and stains off, and then I'm just going to work on cutting pieces of the branches that will fit inside the The dome won't it's too wide, that one's too big, so we're going to go with smaller pieces that don't go as far and then anything that needs to be cut, you can cut it fine, it's just a normal branch, you could even break it. with your fingers if you wanted, but I like how it was actually a tree that was coming back to life in the spring, but a storm knocked it down and it didn't get a chance to fully bloom, but you see how the ends are sharp.

I like it so now I'm going to take a bunch of the branches that I tested to make sure they fit and since I now know that they do fit, I'm going to take some floral wire and twist them all together. Small pieces of branch put together, so this will almost look like the trunk of a small tree. We are reforming that larger branch into something smaller. Now I'm going to cut them at an angle so that they easily pass through the foam. just cutting them on a slant, now you can make yours blunt if you want, but I like the sharp edge that will really cut through that F and do a good job for us, so I used some double bar mounting tape which by the way, I've seen it recently at Walmart, if you want to get yours at Walmart, I'm going to cut a piece off and instead of using hot glue with this foam, we're going to use a little bit of this mounting tape.

I'm going to stick it down and then tap, tap, tap, tap, tap all over so it sticks to the puck underneath and then I'll cut two more sections to cross that and then I can put that foam puck right on top. You're going to place it right in the center and you want to make sure you have enough room so that when you put the top back on the disc it won't get in the way, but you can cut the foam so easily. You can cut it very easily, but that's like Perfect and I love when it comes out like that now you can choose any type of flowers that you want to put on your tree this is not a realistic tree here if you want it to be Dogwood maybe you could use the little Dogwood um flowers whatever you want to use, but I love yellow, so I'm going to grab some yellow flowers, some boxwood that I'm going to trim.

Got some foam, uh, covered in moss. Stones, okay, and I'm going to use them all to give life to this little tree. I intentionally left some of these in sets of three at the end of the Dogwood branch. You'll see little smaller pieces wherever you get your little boxwood, not Dogwood, wherever you get your scraps, yes. You already have your little scrap bowl, you can mix it up and put a little bit of everything in there, but on the tips of these they grow a little bit more small ones, so I'm going to put them on the tips of the tree and just add them here and there in different areas.

I don't try to cover every branch with the leaf and I don't try to fill this tree completely to the top because for me the main focus will be on our butterflies and I like the look of the wood under the tree, so we're going to leave it where it still stands. you can see some of the tree and then more towards the bottom and in other sections I'll add some of these leaves just here and there it's really easier if you get to a section where there's a split in the branch so you have a little bit more grip and use a cold temperature glue when you do this if you are not protecting your fingers yet You should protect your fingers, but I worked a lot that day.

You see the stain on my fingers. I had a lot of projects going, so you know, do as I say, not as I do, is probably best practice. I'm just going to add these here and there and keeping with my fingertips and my fingerprints. I'm going to go and add what I think I like. You'll always see me when I'm crafting. Turn my project from side to side. and then tilt it and look at it, okay, so here's a different piece of that foam mat, it's a different type, it's thinner. I'm going to cut it into a circle.

I'll just help myself with a white marker. the back of the moss, so I have an idea of ​​how much I want to cut, but ideally you want to cut on the inside of the line so it's small enough to go over. We're going to attach this, we're going to cut it down one side like a Christmas tree skirt. You'll cut it towards the center, about halfway, it'll look like Pac-Man, and then you'll place it. Right around your tree, look at that bimo, now you can add a little bit of glue here and there, it doesn't take much and if you're using it, you know your cool temperature is fine, it's not going to melt anything, it should be good to go, but you're going to do well what's best for you and if you have little individual pieces of moss, just glue them together with a little bit of Mod Podge or a little bit of school glue however you want to do it now.

I'm going to take my black, since the bottom of this mat is black, I'm just going to use some black chalkboard paint from Dollar Tree and go around the bottom so it looks like the Earth, a very rich deep dark Earth underneath. of which blends into the base and I think it's a good look, you could also make it brown if you wanted it to look like earth, but it suits me well with the black, oh I chose the peach blossoms, not the yellow ones, okay , so I'm going to put all those peach blossoms. and I'm just going to add them here and there, here and there, all over this little tree, this is a little budding tree, it's a fantasy tree, right, I'm going to spread my little flowers so that they look pretty and remember the A little trick - You can add a little heat to the back of your flow to fluff it up.

If you need to know how to unfold something, this is a secondhand selection I had, but you can get your stuff from Dollar Tree. You can certainly get your scrap metal too. bucket for this right, take out your remains now. I'm going to grab some of those moss covered stones that I think you can get at Dollar Tree um and I'm just going to add them around the base of the tree just because I like it, it doesn't cover anything, you don't need to cover anything and no wires and everything's fine. and this is how it looks so far.

Look, if you wanted to place it in the middle of the table, make sure some of the flowers are facing the opposite direction. I encourage you to make it your own, just make it the way you like, look at all these beautiful butterflies and all these different colors and everyone is happy sitting on all these flowers, this makes my heart happy. If you need a stick or something to put there to flatten your flowers, then you can definitely do that sometimes. We need a little help, you know, and if something hits the top, just trim it off a little bit, so I'm playing around with it until I make sure no butterflies get hurt during the making of the video and everything fits. very good and I love this, it's not taxidermy, we didn't damage anything but we made it look special and unique on a limited budget.

Think of all the different ways you can make this yours. , we are going to cover them and then this is the wreath that we are going to use. I'm going to use some rope, a couple shades of brown paint, as long as one is dark and the other is a little bit lighter, no matter what shades you use, I'll use green, one shade darker and one shade lighter, and then I'll use a bunch of brushes.

Here I have butterfly buttons that you can use. butterfly buttons you can use decals however you want after you've made that selection and set them aside we're going to start painting so this is like a matte black metal and I want to color this a little bit because it's spring we want to color this. It would definitely be beautiful if you left it black and just put butterflies on it, just use it as a background if that's what you want to do, but I want to give you options for those of you who aren't interested in just black and white or just the rustic look, so I'm going to make sure I touch all the branches with the brown color.

I'm going to dry this because there's a lot of little parts here and I don't want to smear anything when I go to the next color it's all dry and then I'm going to go in and start adding the second coat of paint and I'm just dry brushing this brown all over. the parts of the branches and throughout the ring that surrounds the tree. all over and you can add as much or as little as you want, if you add too much you can always go back after it dries and add a little more Dart on top.

I love the texture that this seems to give it and the variety in color because a real tree is rarely just one color, so I'm going to move on to my green, this is a matte green color, I think it's an ivy and I'm going to use that first about the black and I'm going to go through all the sheets. Not only am I going to go down the leaf, but I'm also going to go down part of that little piece of stem that connects the leaf to the branch so you can see what I'm doing here so it blends in just a little bit and we'll do it. in every way and then I'll dry it out if you need a link to anything you see in this video.

I'm going to separate a small section in the rope, tie it off and continue to the end, like this You can do it, if you have more rope left, you can join this with the rope and that would help fill in any gaps that you may still have in your wreath, but you know that Jude is good.
