I feel like most people who buy this car won't really want to go as far or deep with modifications as I have with my 2020 Supra, most people will probably drive this car daily, they want a little more horsepower, nothing crazy, but they want to be able to keep up with the majority of sports cars that are on the market. road and maybe get a few kills here and there while in Mexico and this is really why I feel like the Supra has become the perfect car, the perfect platform if that's what you're looking for in everyday sports driving. . car, so when I first bought this car, I took it to the dyno almost immediately, like the first week, and we got the original benchmark numbers, this car made 340 horsepower at the wheels and 399 torque at the wheels. wheels, which, honestly, is really good, especially for a car that's lighter and smaller like this one, which will be plenty quick for most people, but at the end of the day, this is a tuned car.

There are two things I would do when it comes to engine performance for this car. The first thing I would do is a catless downspout. I would even go ahead and keep this. stock exhaust because honestly this car sounds great with a stock exhaust and just a catless downpipe, no

to have a full exhaust system. I think it sounds great and looks great with the aftermarket exhaust system, but I don't necessarily have to do it to get good power. The second thing I would do is get a solid melody. Now I'm not going to dive into the whole debate about tuners and why people choose who they choose and what.
We're looking to achieve what you can achieve with your cars in this video because it's a whole other topic and it's very long and there's a lot of opinions involved, but what I'm personally running on my Supra is the boot mode along with a custom setup from Jeff Payne I have. two maps that I actually use the first is my 93 pump map this is the map I use in my car most of the time probably 85 percent of the time I'm running my 93 pump map in this car when I know that I'm about going on a cruise with my friends or maybe going to Mexico.
I switch to my e50 map, tune the e50, see these cars totally wake it up. That's the perfect combination for this car. I feel like these two methods are very easy to obtain and easy to administer some people don't like to get into methanol injection and things of that nature because there's more things you have to handle and I completely understand that from a practical standpoint Realistically, not everyone wants to have methanol injection in their car, they don't want to have to keep filling that tank, they don't want to have to have bottles in their garage, they don't want to have to monitor the tank, they don't want to have to have a custom setting for injection of methanol so I feel like once you get into methanol that's for people who are really trying to get to the next level with power gains but I'll be honest I don't think it's necessary and most people will. . be completely fine with just a basic pump map tune for daily driving and then an e52 for the weekends, so our stock numbers were 340 horsepower at the wheels and 399 torque when I'm running my tune custom e50 i have 487 wheel horsepower and 5 569 wheel torque okay so let me tell you first of all there is a lot of power and a ton of torque for this car and the fact that you can achieve that in the Supra in This b58 with only two modifications is crazy.
I am someone who came. from the 328 N20 platform, the E90 M3 platform and the n55 M2 platform and now on this b58 I have never been able to achieve power in a platform so easily and effortlessly. The other good thing about having a custom fit with this car is that it actually does it. improve the overall driving experience. I have had several maps available on this car and the car never drove well, even the stock setup on this car just didn't feel as good when it came to the throttle since I went with a good quality custom tune.
This car has been much more pleasant and enjoyable to drive, even when I'm out running errands. It is much easier to drive the car. The accelerator does not move everywhere. The car doesn't feel like it has too much power just for the street, it's right in that sweet spot, so I'm going to pass this on and we're going to upgrade the turbo and do a few more things to do a little bit more. power of this car, but I feel like a lot of people like 90 of the people, this is perfect, this is all you

I think it's very easy to get caught up in that mode where we compare our horsepower numbers to other people's and I feel like we need a thousand horsepower or that we're not relevant, which is really silly because I come from a background in which we were hoping to get about 200 horsepower out of our Hondas and the fact that you can do two things to make your car shine. with your cell phone and now you're generating almost 500 horsepower at the wheels, it's mind-blowing, it's absolutely crazy. We used to have to change the engines in our Hondas to get like 250 horsepower, a complete engine swap just to get like 100 horsepower, maybe so it's funny to me because I see a lot of kids nowadays that really I don't think they understand the pocketbook perspective of what it really took to get this kind of power back in the past and now that we have these cars that come with Big power Big turbos Big blocks straight from the factory that can handle this amount of power.
I don't know, it's something that I feel like is a little taken for granted and now, if your car doesn't come with a thousand horsepower. The factory kids say, "Oh, what a slow car, what a load of rubbish," as we all know, it's mostly 15 year old kids on Tick Tock saying things like that, but the point is you can make a ton of power in these cars. easily and I feel like for a lot of people all you have to do is do a good quality tune up of the e50, a good '93 gas pump, adjust the catless downpipes and send it away.
I definitely think there are other things I've done to this car that I enjoy and that make I enjoy this car much more, and the most important thing is the suspension. I am using the kwv3 coilovers on this car and let me tell you that I have used many different suspensions from springs to coil springs to height adjustable springs. This is this bar None my favorite setup, the reason I love these coil-over shocks and yes, they are expensive, they are not cheap. The KW V3 coil-overs are quite expensive but you get what you pay for and I feel like if you're going to put your money anywhere it should be on the suspension, the tires, the brakes, those are some of the most underrated areas where a People seem to like cheap, but with this car I intentionally made sure to put quality parts in it.
I didn't want to spend money. I did not want to. to take shortcuts and I'm really glad I didn't, so with the KWV3's you obviously get a stance that's very, very good because you can adjust it. These are fully adjustable, in addition to being adjustable, you can adjust the cushioning. You can adjust the rebound so you can really fine-tune the handling and comfort. Now there are also some aesthetic additions that I have made some carbon fiber pieces. I really don't think they are necessary. I think they look good, but this car. It looks as good from the factory as if you could drive it stock and it still breaks.
It's a very interesting looking car and I don't think people are very used to them, but I just wanted to express my thoughts on the suspension. because I feel like it's a very important key part to enjoying the way the car drives this setup right now is honestly perfect as this would be the perfect daily driver for many of you who own these cars or are looking to buy one of these cars now, although the car seems quite low on the sides. I don't really scrape the sides much and the nice thing is that it's actually not that low in the front for most people.
It'll be like, are you kidding me? That's incredibly low. It's actually not compared to all my other cars. This one has the seat higher up front and it's really just the way this body is designed and the way these panels hang lower. the side the sides seem to hang the lower the higher the front is and so I can go over speed bumps and everything without hitting anything which is really good because in all my other cars that I always hit, I hit everything that was scratching with this car. Don't do that, I don't have to worry about that and I think it's something you really need to consider when you're looking for a car that you're going to drive and modify on a daily basis.
I don't necessarily have this car. thrown to the ground, but I have it quite low to the point that there is almost no space between the wheels, so it looks great, but it is also quite functional and when I say practical or functional, I mean like a sports car or a lower sports car, if you're someone who drives like a GMC Jimmy or a Bronco and you get this car it's obviously going to be a little different, but that being said, as far as sports cars go, this is a solid man. This is a very good bang for your buck, I think in the next few years once these cars have aged a bit and newer models start coming out we will see them dip into the 30's which will be an absolute bargain. for the b-58 on the

, a lot of people ask me what you think, are you mad you didn't get the a91?
Not really because I have the 2020 which is tunable unless you intend to keep the stock cars that were added. The extra horsepower on the A91 doesn't really make a big difference once you start modifying these cars, adding different performance parts and tuning them, they will make relatively close to the same amount of power as the A90 or A91 that added horsepower . What you see on the A91 is only beneficial if you intend to keep the car completely original compared to an original A90. So for someone like me, who obviously mods his cars a lot, it doesn't make sense.
There have also been some complaints because the A91s are not tunable for the most part, they are not tunable, but they have had some ECUs that could break, but most owners with A91s. they are quitefrustrated, you can see it on the forums, you see it on the Facebook groups, they can't tune their cars yet and that's why they bought a Supra, they wanted to tune it but people can't get past those roadblocks and look if I bought it. a Supra with my intentions of tuning and modifying it and still couldn't tune the car with a good solid custom tune.
I would change it for 2020. So yeah, guys, that's the premise of this video, I think. that most people all you need is a good quality custom tune, get yourself a 93 pump map, get yourself an e50 tune, get yourself a catless downpipe or even a sporty jacked downpipe and you should be good now obviously, The EPA has been cracking down in a big way. time in many places many people modify their cars. I think this will largely depend on where you live and what exactly you can do when it comes to modifying your cars, so remember to take this into account, not all of us are going to be able to modify our cars the way we want, depending from where we live.
Guys, I'm finishing up the turbo videos right now because we're moving soon. into a bigger turbo and we're going to make a little more power, but I really can't get enough of this car guys, I love the Supra. I don't know, it's something that feels a little bit like the underdog because of how much hate is generated and how controversial the car has been because of the association and for some reason I always enjoy the underdog cars, even when I was building the n55 M2, everyone said that car was not like a real M car. because I didn't have the s55, but I really love that car for a lot of different reasons and I think that also shows that nowadays we are so spoiled with the amount of power that we can make with these cars and these engines that even you know that a car from 400 horsepower for some people is just not good enough.
I think we definitely need to put some things into perspective and remember where we come from as a car community and car enthusiasts. It wasn't so easy back then. It's the day to get this kind of power so we should definitely be thankful for these tuning platforms and the amount of power we can make as easily as we can anyway guys thanks so much for watching the video.
