From exclusive items to serving sizes, we wanted to discover all the differences between Cadbury products in the US and UK. This is

wars

in the UK. Classic milk chocolate comes in several sizes, the smallest is not sold individually but is one of these bite-sized pieces from the selection box, then we move on to one of these small bars that are mainly sold as a snack for kids and they weigh 18G each, then we have a multi-pack bar that weighs 33.5G and then we have what I would say is the standard bar, which weighs 45G. If you are hungry, you can have a Duo bar, as you can see by the fold in the middle it is separated into two smaller bars and in total it weighs 54.4 G in terms of standard cow's milk you can also find a 95 G bar, we actually found a 90 G bar of milk with caramel The serving size varies slightly depending on the type of chocolate you are getting, moving more towards the larger sizes we have a 110g cow's milk bar from there we have a 180g bar our second largest size is this 360G bar and finally our largest size is this one which has 850g of cow's milk in the US, our cow's milk bars come in one size, the 3.5 or 99.2 bar G, now this bar right next to it, the Caramel, actually weighs 4 oz or 113.5 G, right here in the middle is a nut the size of 5.4 Oz or 153 G.

I couldn't get it in time, but I think which is the largest size. or another size, is this a miniatures bag where it's an 8oz or 22G bag, but there are always these little ones in there? Our Cadburry bar, the 99.2G bar comes in 18 squares per bar, if you break it down it's 6G per square. For comparison, we'll take a look at our 110G Cow's Milk Bar in the UK. One of these bars has 24 individual squares. Let's find out how much each of them weighs, according to our slightly inaccurate analog scales, a square. It weighs around 6G, although if we divide the figure of 110 by 24 we end up with around 4.5, so somewhere in between there is no difference.

Well for your cabry, here are all the Cadbury products from the UK that you won't find in the US and Here are all the Cadbury products from the US that you won't find in the UK. This is going to be easy for me. Now I want to remind the audience that this is for Cadbury products produced in our respective countries. Yes, that's all it is. Available on Amazon, we now know that we obviously have a lot of exclusive products here in the UK, so we'll break them down into categories. We will start with standard dairy milk bars but with different flavors.
us vs uk cadbury food wars insider food
A blast here with what is possibly my favorite standard dairy milk bar, which is cabri, whole nut, it's basically fruit and nuts, but without any of that yucky fruit, now it's just nuts, fruit and whole nut, depending on the time of the year. If you look for your taxi at the supermarket you might find orange dairy milk, but because we are in the run-up to the festive season we have winter orange crisp instead of chocolate and orange, it's a much-loved flavor combination here in the UK. I think a lot of people will think of Terry's chocolate oranges, but cabris are also coming into the ACT.

Next we have Oreo with Dairy Milk, you may see some of these as we go, they seem to have some sort of association with Oreo because there are actually quite a few Cow's Milk X Oreo products. I'll open this one because it's actually great what they've done to be fair from the outside it looks like a standard piece of cow's milk but if you see that I've actually filled it with Oreo cream but they also put little cookie pieces in it to that they remain like crunchy pieces. If cow's milk Oreo somehow isn't sweet enough for you, you can also get a white chocolate Oreo bar.
We stay with the classics here and now we move on to milk caramel. I know I said this might have been too sweet for me, but I actually really like candy bars, so what you get is milk chocolate, but then you have this pretty runny candy inside the candy, it's sweet, but it's not like you're just tasting sugar, you know, there's something else going on there. We saw that in the US you have Caramel. pretty much the same Joe, what do you think? Hi Harry and yes, we don't have the dairy milk caramel, we have the dairy milk caramel.
I remember that Caramelo was an American brand for a while. I remember the commercials that said Caramel, so that's yours, let's take a look at ours, here's ours, it's like it's coming out there, it's rich in caramel. I guess so, I can't have a straight answer if CAD just bought Caramelo in the US and repackaged it or what, but it seems like it's probably relatively the same, continuing with the candy theme, now we have the new candy bar salty. I feel like I don't know if this is the case in the US, but there has been a real takeover of salted caramel in recent years to the point where it's very hard to find unsalted caramel now and I guess Cadbury had to follow suit. trend.
I really don't think I know much if any difference between that and regular Caro, since I don't have anything else to do for this episode. I'm going to go ahead and try some of you this cadberry from the UK. I've heard a lot about starting the OG cadberry dairy milk bar. Yes, this is a much smoother, richer, richer, creamier chocolate. I really love it, it's fantastic, you brag a lot. your chocolate in the UK, but another thing you should brag about is your caramel, it's really good too and much better than what we have in America, so the old caramels are no longer the biggest fan of those, I I like that one the way it was. a kid, but candy in America is too, but yours, oh yeah, I mean, it separates better now that this one got approving applause from the team when I mentioned it.
This is the Cabri Dairy Milk Dime BX now for those who don't know what Dime is. a chocolate bar in its own right and it's like a layer of chocolate on the outside with a fairly hard layer of some sort of toffee candy on the inside. Now I think the dime bars themselves have fallen out of favor a bit in the UK. very popular with my grandfather's generation and I think people don't buy them on their own anymore, however I say they are delicious, you can also buy them in places like Ikea. I think they are popular at Continental.
Next up in Europe we have another new bar, it's the Cadbury White Confetti Bar. I've never seen this before. I went shopping for this episode, but it's white chocolate and contains oatmeal cookie pieces and milk chocolate beans, but you see. quite a few of these cookie pieces, yes, I buy a lot of cookies, not a lot of chocolate pieces. You can also find mint milk, crunchy pieces, cow's milk and also cow's milk with 30% less sugar, but not me. If I can't try them today, we have a couple of dairy milk bars with slightly different compositions or flavors.
First of all, we have wonderful dairy milk creations. This one has jelly candies inside. Don't quote me on this, but I feel like In the early 2000s in the UK we had a series of Wonka chocolate bars inspired by Willie Wonka. Now I think it was actually a Nestle product, but they had interesting flavors. They did things like put jelly beans and candies in their chocolate bars. They're gone, I don't know what happened to them, but I feel like this is C's attempt to jump in and bring him back, probably at the right time because, you know, the Wonka movie is coming out soon, he's really going to come out with this. video but we love Shalom, these are pretty good.
I think it's an interesting textural experience when you eat one of these because it's the Jelly Bean kind of chewy mixed with melted milk chocolate, not my favorite but hey if you want some. a little different, then this is for you, then we move on to the great tasting bars, this is the cow's milk, great tasting, crunchy Oreo. I mentioned there was a cow's milk and Oreo crossover theme and this is next in That line is like that with great tasting bars. They're thicker than a standard chocolate bar would be and because of that they have layers that basically double the height, so here's the standard cow's milk Oreo and here's the great tasting Oreo as you can get it.
I see you getting much more distinct layers in this one. I'll be honest. I think I prefer the standard. An iconic cabin product is Fredo. Fredo is a small, individually wrapped chocolate bar that is shaped like a frog. You can get two versions of this, you can get a standard one which is just milk chocolate or you can get a Fredo with caramel, much like a milk candy bar, it's a milk chocolate shell with that kind of liquid caramel in the inside. I love fedos. I feel like a lot of Brits have a nostalgic attachment to them.
I can't tell if they've shrunk over the years or if I've just gotten bigger or possibly both, but I feel like the days when you were there. for a small child these are a nice little snack, whereas nowadays this is like a mouthful, this is a bit small, they are also worth noting because in the UK they have become an unlikely economic criterion when I was a child. It costs just 10p, but the price has risen dramatically in recent years. At one point in 2017 the price went up to 30p for one of these, while I think it's now back down to 25 after probably a lot of public outcry because the fluctuating price has become something of a measure of inflation. and the cost of living here in the UK.
People's paychecks don't buy them as many cold ones as they used to and that's a sad and curious thing. Harry and Carberry of the US tried what I think are similar shenanigans by downsizing. In 2007, American comedian and actor BJ Novak called out Cadbury on the Conan O'Brien show for suddenly making Smallest Cadbury eggs in the UK. We also have a couple of plant-based chocolate options. They are made with almonds instead of dairy to try and replicate the feel of milk chocolate and come in two forms, either as a classic bar or as a salted caramel, it's actually not that bad, they've done very well, I think to replicate the texture of milk chocolate because as the packaging says, smooth I think is the word, it really is quite a smooth experience, it melts in your mouth, almost like a milk chocolate, Farwood.
I think what really disappoints me is still, the flavor rather than the texture, it almost tastes more like a kind of cooking chocolate or like, you know, when you get those really cheap chocolate chips and you feel like there's not enough cocoa or creaminess, we have these four signature bars here in the US we have uh Rock the road, which is milk chocolate with toasted almonds, marshmallows and fudge, no, I don't like that we have real dark chocolate. I'm sure you have several dark chocolates ours is Royal not a The big dark chocolate guys are not as bitter as I expected from dark chocolate so it's not bad but I don't know again it's okay roasted almonds, generous with almonds, right?
It's a pretty good almond booty. The last of our signature flavors is Black Forest Cake which is dark chocolate with cherry flavored fudge and cookie pieces, oh man ok apparently in the UK you would call us black forest door , which is funny because you didn't use the french words for black or forest, well black forest, oh yeah that's right and the black forest in Germany EU you guys don't know what's going on uh I'm going to be honest with you, chocolate and cherry are not my favorite combination oh god this is terrible this is the worst oh I hate the next one we are going to follow The buttons are now just pieces of milk chocolate shaped like little buttons, or the buttons Small ones come in a variety of sizes and flavors, so the originals are actually small.
I feel like they've fallen out of favor or maybe they're just given to kids, but honestly, this is what the classic button looks like and they're these really tiny little chocolate discs, it's literally just milk chocolate and milk, the ones that I would most commonly choose in my adult life are the ones that are served in these big sharing bags and look more like this size. You say it's more than double the size I would say and then if the button size is still not big enough for you, then we have mega buttons, so we have the classic Giant. and mega just one more note on the size of the buttons, we have noticed that the classics on the package are just called buttons, but what I think used to be called the giants are now also just called buttons, which you can see because they are still called giant buttons in the orange flavored version, you can also get buttons in a variety of flavors, so here we have some mint chocolate buttons, some chocolate buttonswith orange these are called candy bites but I always thought they were just candy buttons because again, they are disc shaped but with a little candy pocket in the middle and you can get dark milk buttons too.
These are a cabri invention that is somewhere between dark chocolate and milk chocolate, as well as Cara's milk buttons and, if you like. just real dark chocolate cabri calls it bourneville and they have giant bourneville dark chocolate buttons another cabry product in the uk they are caby fingers they are now a classic. I feel like they are a staple in many British homes, basically what you get is a cape. of cookie on the bottom which is then completely dipped in Capri milk chocolate. I can't figure out exactly what the cookie is. I think it's like a shortbread cookie.
You can also get cabry fingers in a variety of sizes and flavors, for example. You can get these bite-sized bags. Here we have Salted Caramel Fingers but you can also find White Chocolate Fingers.Orange Chocolate Fingers, Mint and Dark Chocolate Fingers, One thing that has just launched in the UK at the time of filming is Cadre Delights. This is a new range of products that I believe are covered in chocolate. They come in hazelnut and caramel orange flavors. and caramel and salted caramel, another exclusive we have in the US are the mini chocolate eggs. Harvest eggs, but now we're close to the holidays, so we have mini snowballs instead.
I feel like they are the same. These are the same. Come on, yeah, just milk chocolate. with a crunchy and sugary shell that is to say here good for a snack. I think these taste the best of everything here, to be honest they also have creamed eggs. I couldn't find them anywhere. I thought they used to be everywhere now. They're gone, I don't know what happened to them but you know what they look like, we got them tragically, we're filming this in November so we can't get our seasonal exclusive eggs. Taxi is obviously known for creamed eggs. but it also has Mini Eggs which I think are excellent in the UK.
Obviously we can get the classic Cream Egg, but we can also get white eggs with cream and eggs with caramel. We can also get classic Mini Eggs and a Mini Eggs bar. However, I will point out. Please note that because we are in the run-up to Christmas, we can get Heroes right now, which is a taxi pick box that is usually eaten during the holidays. As part of a Heroes box, you can get a small, bite-sized twisted cream egg bar. I understand that as you know you want to create that artificial demand, but I feel like people are going to eat cream eggs all year long regardless of availability, so I feel like you should give people what they want, have cream eggs all year long. the year, the same for the mini eggs, please, I need. those much more than creamed eggs now let's move on to some exclusive chocolate bars that you'll find in the UK but not the US, we'll review them in roughly alphabetical order here, starting with the Boost bar, now I think when these were first introduced, they were almost advertised as an energy bar in chocolate form because I think they had mortifying levels of sugar and glucose, whereas now I think they've actually reduced that again and it's like a chocolate bar. with a bit of biscuit and caramel in the middle on the Boost bar give me the Boost M everyone in the UK looks at me like this fool has never had this before no I haven't or if I have I don't remember it now, You may remember it from the buttons, but when you see dark chocolate and cadb, it will be marketed as Bourneville, which also comes in this iconic red packaging, compared to the usual purple colors used by Cadbury.
Fun fact: Bourneville is actually a real city you can visit in the UK. It was basically created by Cadbury to house all of their workers and is apparently a pretty nice place to live. I'm not sure why they ended up using that name for their dark chocolate range but here it is, you can get it in a few. There are different flavors here, for example I have the old Jamaica flavor which is a dark chocolate with rum and raisins. We also have the Bourneville Mint Crunch Bar. You can also get it in a standard dark chocolate bar and also in an orange bar.
Above we have Caramilk, so as the name suggests, it's like a milk chocolate and caramel hybrid that Cabri has released in the last few years. What you get is a slightly strange, yellowish-golden color. Something strange because it has the texture. It looks like milk chocolate, but the flavor is much more like a butterscotch. You can also get caramel milk in the form of caramel butter crisp, which is caramel milk chocolate with small pieces of crispy rice. Speaking of crunchy, next we have a crunchy bar. These are quite iconic, basically what you get is a honeycomb which is then dipped in milk chocolate to produce a crunchy barath when I say honeycomb obviously there is no actual beehive here what you do is mix melted sugar and I think baking soda Sodium and it kind of clears up, puffs up and then solidifies to leave you with what we know as kind of, I guess, like a honeycomb candy again, a slightly controversial take.
I don't like crunchy. I don't like the texture of the honeycomb on my teeth, it feels really weird and I don't enjoy it, but I know it's a very popular bar, so go for it, okay. Next up is another possible favorite of mine. It's a curly swirl. Now I love these because it sounds like an American has a nice guy. It is an improvised name for a British chocolate bar. They are a little difficult to describe. It is a combination of chocolate and caramel, but has a unique and distinctive shape. I'm not quite sure what the logic is behind the way, but I'm not sure if the same distinction exists in America but here in the UK.
If we say something has caramel in it, that implies that it will be very chewy, similar to caramel in terms of flavor, but much chewier and curlier. I've tried these before and I really like them oh yeah yeah next up we have more dark dairy again this falls somewhere between dark chocolate and milk chocolate on the cocoa content type of scale this one is flavored with some small pieces of salted caramel. more salted caramel again with salted caramel we get it, okay, you might also be able to find the same bar but flavored with some hazelnut prene pieces.
Next up is another classic, it's a Double Deca bar, our buses aren't the only things. which are double deckers here in the UK we also have these chocolate bars. There's a lot going on in a two-story bar. I love them. I'm going to be honest, but what you get is obviously the milk chocolate coating. the outside and then the inside you see you have this big layer of noua and on the other side you have a lot of these little crunchy pieces of rice, I think they're like crunchy pieces of rice. From there we have a flake, so I don't really understand it. how the flakes are made, but they're pretty impressive, basically I think what they do is they become like a kind of waterfall of chocolate and the way it hits the refrigerated surface it folds back on itself and you get this. really as the layered flaky texture flakes are quite iconic, the main use of the flakes in the UK is in ice cream cones, what you'll normally get is a whipped ice cream cone Mr Whippy, and then you just stick the flakes there and the flakes have also apparently been the center of some controversy this year because due to their strange structure, they now do not melt, unlike most of the chocolate I have been trying today, I have come away with small pieces of melted chocolate . in my hand, but basically because of how thin the layers of chocolate are when it melts, the solids and fats don't really separate like they should and therefore it just can't melt, you can put one of these as a ban.
Marie and it just won't melt, you can microwave one and it will just burn before it starts to melt. The curious facts don't stop there, let's go straight to the potato chips, chocolate cream, woo, obviously, these do not have the same packaging. or brand like the rest of them, but they are actually made by cadb, so they are dark chocolate bars with a fondant cream center. They are worthy of special mention because they are some of the first mass-produced chocolate bars to be named after the Fry family who were a Quaker family from Bristol in the United Kingdom.
Now the fry were actually the first people to figure out how to make mass-produced chocolate bars. We go back to the 1840s here in the UK, but back then people only drank chocolate, it was quite rare to get a piece of chocolate or a bar of chocolate. Potato chips were the first to discover how to press cocoa beans to separate the fats from the solids. Now they were doing it. This was just to try to make a drinking powder that was easier to dissolve, but I inadvertently figured out how to separate all the materials and then re-incorporate them to make a stable chocolate barath that is a piece of history, right there is the packaging.
It's a chocolate cream with potato chips. The packaging on this one is suspicious. It is the least packaging effort. It's just this white text with no shadow. A little bit of the bar there. No, I don't like this. No, technically they are not products. In themselves they are more of an amalgamation of products, we have a few selection boxes here in the UK worth noting now which will start to appear in stores around Christmas time which is when they are usually eaten. They are now what is known as a selection box. Basically, you get little individual versions of quite a few of their different chocolate bars that you can then share with the family, so the Heroes box will contain AA's Whisper Dairy Milk Fudge, Crunchy Bites, Dairy Milk Caramel, Double Decer and Cream Egg Twisted. we have roses and these are not really based on existing brands, they are more like classic chocolate box selections I guess, so we have things like orange cream, strawberry dream, we actually have some mini dairy milk bars here now , as well as a few others, I feel like in my power ranking of all the chocolate selection boxes, I don't know if the cabri wins for me, I think the celebrations might win for me, which is like the equivalent of the Mars brand of these, I think. probably Pink Heroes celebrations on Quality Street of course the classics British Christmas what a wonderful time while we're talking selection boxes I must also mention the milk tray now these are a classic they go back years and years and years, I think. like it's less important now, but they were very popular to give to people, whether you know someone invited you to a dinner or it's a birthday, giving someone a tray of milk like in the '60s or '70s, it was just Something silly to do, going back to chocolate bars, this is a picnic bar.
I actually don't know if I've ever eaten a picnic bar before, mainly because they contain raisins. It's a milk chocolate bar, but inside it's like a mix. all you get are raisins, you get peanuts, there's crunchy cereal in there. I think there are carrots too. Next up is the Cadbury Timeout Wafer. I would say it's more of a cookie bar than a chocolate bar, but you have layers of cookies and chocolate that are then obviously coated with more milk chocolate and milk cavy and then we move on to a twist. These are somewhat similar to flakes in terms of texture, it's like a flake texture on the inside, but the actual individual bars are coated with a chocolate twist. a twist no, I like this, okay, I don't like it, I don't like it, um, the airy texture, man, these are classics, I feel like they're almost extinct, this is a Chomp bar, it's pretty much the same than a curly in the sense that it's basically a layer of candy covered in milk chocolate, but instead of that weird pattern with the spaces, this is just a solid bar.
I feel like they have always been served in this type of small sized bar as more of a snack. maybe it's aimed at kids, but I love the Chomp, it's a shiny fish, it's a whisper bar, I don't fully understand whisper bars, I like them, don't get me wrong, but it's like you're getting less chocolate for your money than with other bars because they basically took a milk chocolate bar but they figured out how to grade it with air and how to put little air bubbles in what they really went for is a texture where when you bite into it, almost like it melts on your tongue, we also have a whisper gold bar, the whisper gold has the same air graded texture but has a candy coating on top, next we have a star bar as I see it. this is like a betterpicnic bar, so a star bar is basically milk chocolate on the outside, caramel, and peanuts.
Next we have the fudge bar, it's a layer of fudge with a bit of cabry chocolate on the outside, they are still in the heroes box. which I like, but I feel like not many people like them anymore and finally, at the moment, aa's, so the cabir is very different from the pastry, it's basically a candy bow with chocolate inside. I always like these Al there's always something really satisfying about the texture of caramel for me. I had braces when I was little and I really missed it when I had braces so I'll never take it for granted now.
Cadbury in the USA is a brand manufactured by Hershey, so there are no sub-brands of Cadbury in the United States, however, Hershey owns around 29 brands. Here are a few that are exclusive to the US in no particular order, first a milk. Dud was in a movie theater in the US. He recognizes that it sounds. Some idiot sitting two rows behind doesn't understand that he's making noise. He has Milk Duds. The Milk Duds are like button-shaped curly swirls. Yeah, that's pretty cool. that I just made there, it's just chocolate covered caramel, but it's in button shape and not like drizzle, these guaranteed. stuck to your teeth guaranteed you're pulling them out of your teeth a health bar hangs from an English candy wrapped in a rich layer of chocolate they wrote that like they thought an American would read that and be like that it's from England The mounds are chocolate and coconut there it is, it's a mound that looks a little like rabbit poop, it's just a piece of coconut covered in dark chocolate now, if you're looking at this and thinking it needs something else, Joe, yeah, how about the almonds?
Almond Joy is exactly the same as Mounds, but if said rabbit ate a bunch of almonds, whole coconut and chocolate, coconut and chocolate almonds, some of the bars are also available in the form of these small pieces, these come in bags, In particular, we have some. crunchy rocks we have whisper bits we have curly squires and the less fun name 12 bites these are more designed to be shared than obviously a classic chocolate bar. I think the idea is maybe get a bag of these, take it to the movies or something, watch a movie, have a little snack, next we have brunch bars, these are Capri's version.
In the cereal bars we have these brunch bars in three different flavors, we have one with raisins, one with milk chocolate chips and one with dark chocolate chips. I actually quite like them, these were like an occasional packed lunch inclusion when I was a kid, basically. It's a cereal bar made primarily with oats, but then you get this base layer of chocolate and, in this case, some chocolate chips as well. Yes, they have a nice chewy texture and it's finally time for what we'll call Best of the Rest are the kind of miscellaneous cabry products that don't really fit into any of the other categories, but are still worth talking about.
First, we have animal crackers, which again were like a classic lunch staple when I was younger. a small cookie that on one side is decorated in the shape of an animal and on the other side is simply dipped in milk and milk chocolate. I have to highlight the mini muffins. Here are others, like perhaps grandma's cookie tin staple. Actually, it's basically like a cake, instead of a cookie or a chocolate bar, it's a roll of chocolate cake that is then, as I say, rolled with a small layer of cream in the middle and then the whole thing is dipped in milk chocolate too. and then while we're talking about cadb cakes, we also have cadb cake bars similar to mini muffins in the sense that you have the chocolate sponge cake, everything is covered in chocolate as well, but you have that caramel layer on top and then we continue. for a couple of fridge desserts, these are milk chocolate sticky puddings from

cadbury

so they are great.
I've eaten like these or an iteration of these many times in the past, basically they come in these little plastic containers that are microwave safe and are the typical way to eat. this is that maybe you pee the movie on this, put everything in the microwave for 30 seconds a minute or so, take it out, turn it on a plate and it comes out cooking it, like you steam the cake when it's there and then there's like a chocolate sauce, as you can see on the packaging, that collects at this end and then when you turn it over, it ends up kind of drizzling down the side of the puddings and it's very nice, fun, elegant.
Dessert sensation you can have at home in 30 seconds PUD, of course, is short for pudding, which is what we call dessert and then we also have these dairy milk bottles from Joy. Apparently they are a smooth and creamy dessert made with melted Cadbury milk chocolate. I've never tried one of these before. I think they are like a yogurt, basically like a pot of chocolate yogurt. I'm not sure what to make of the next one because it seems a little like America is infiltrating our CPR products, but this is a kaby dairy milk trail mix and an orange nuttier trail mix.
I think these are new. I don't think Cab has been making trail mixes for a long time. I also don't think trail mix is very popular in the UK in general, as if it just isn't. that's common, so in a bag of this you apparently get sweetened cocoa, dairy milk, orange buttons, raisins and raisins, almonds and toasted hazelnuts, speaking of English sounding things, it's a York Peppermint Patty from the city of York, is this and it's just instead of coconut, it's mint Mr. good bar, chocolate and peanuts, this bar, the packaging shows, this is an old school bar, this bar is so old that its main selling point was We assure you that there is peanuts in this, we are not lying to you.
You're okay, yeah, you won't believe how full of peanuts this bar is. Is this true to the guarantee of getting the good bar in the back, possibly more wow, they overdelivered on the Fifth Avenue peanut promise, but no? I don't know what this is, what do I call it, come on, chocolate, peanut and caramel flavored crisps, definitely, very peanut butter, okay, we have two options when it comes to drinks for Cades in the UK, here we have Cadbury's original hot chocolate and then we also have the highlights. fortified milk drink I'm not really sure what the difference is, but I think judging by the look of the packaging, the highlights could be designed as some sort of diet option just because it's described as an instant milk chocolate flavor and low in calories, hot. drink staying in the cupboard section of the taxi aisle now we're onto the chocolate spread this is effectively like a Nutella but it doesn't have hazelnuts so it's like a pure chocolate spread now we're moving onto the bakery section of your supermarket I bought most of these at an Asda in London, so I think availability will vary slightly depending on where you are and which supermarket you visit, but I will say that most supermarkets will have a bakery. section and you'll probably see some Cabry Browning somewhere, here's what I could find.
We have three of these products in bags from the bakery at Asda Range. Firstly we have some Oatcakes which are Oat Flapjacks containing milk chocolate. some shorty squares of milk cabri daa shorties like a tune in my square The shorty squares are a short cake filled again some pieces of milk chocolate and then we have some milk chocolate cookies and cabi we will stay in the aisle of the bakery now on to Milk Caramel Donuts now I'm a little intrigued by these. I love donuts, it's just very dry and then we have a few more baked goods, namely mini caramel milk cookies, milk cornflake cluster bites and some milk brownie bites and then we're on.
I'm going to round things out with some seasonal items, as I mentioned, unfortunately we weren't able to get the Easter exclusives which are quite iconic, namely the cream egg and the mini egg, but as we're in the Halloween Christmas period, I was in Instead of being able to get your hands on some of those exclusives, we'll start with the Halloween ones which have just come and gone here in the UK, but we were able to find some mini bonfire logs which are fun. I think they are like a mini roll, but instead of the classic type of chocolate cake, they have used a honeycomb cake instead and then another spooky seasonal exclusive is pumpkin pies, these are chocolate cakes with an orange cream filling, then we have some Cadbury Christmas puddings, these are bowls of milk and milk chocolate with a hazelnut truffle in the center pieces of hazelnut and rice crisps again, that combination of chocolate and nuts just doesn't can go wrong for me and of course we can't talk about seasonal exclusives without talking about Advent calendars.
We love our Advent calendars here. CAD Brees of course has to get involved and they have a very simple but very effective chocolate Advent calendar. This Grand 110 goat milk bar costs 135 at Tesco. Breaking that down, you're paying 1.22 per gram for chocolate in the US, our bar is 99.G and it's $2.79, which is 2.8 per gram, so per gram that's a 91 increase. % in the US Ooh, they rob me baby here's everything in a milk chocolate bar in the UK milk sugar cocoa butter cocoa mass vegetable fats palm and shea emulsifiers e442 ammonium phosphatides e476 polyglycerol polyrolate and flavoring here is everything in a US milk chocolate bar we have sugar milk chocolate cocoa butter lactose leathan PG PR natural flavor artificial flavor UK chocolate is often considered superior by some, including me, al chocolate and there is a There is little reason why, firstly, the UK's standards for its chocolate production from the Cocoa and Chocolate Products Regulations 2003 set minimums for milk chocolate at 25% butter. of cocoa and milk fat with excess fat, 5% milk fat, 20% dry cocoa solids and 2.5% non-fat dry matter. cocoa fat solids and 20% milk powder solids in the US our FDA rules for our milk chocolate differ quite a bit 10% chocolate or 12% milk salads which can be powdered or condensed milk with at least 3.39% fat and no more than 55% sugar, secondly, those of us on this side of the Atlantic may find American chocolate to have a bitter, almost vomit-like taste, which is fine for American brand chocolate bars, but why don't we Cadbury know how here in the UK it starts with Hershey Company in the early 1900s, the company introduced cost cutting measures including a process to make their milk last more in production, for this they used a secret method called liosis liosis lipolysis the details of the Hershey chocolate making process are a secret company, but part of the process involves butc acid.

Hershey's became a powerful chocolate company in the US to such an extent that it successfully forced a ban on the importation of Cadbury chocolate into the US in 1988. Let's compare that to a 99G bar here as there is only a difference of 500G calories 57.5G carbohydrates 27.5G total fat 17.5G saturated fat 55G total sugars 7. 5g Protein and 100 Mig Sodium If we compare the 100G stats in the UK to the 99G stats in the US, you'll find that the UK actually has slightly more calories in fat. Although it has fewer carbohydrates and much less sodium, I was going to say weekend but I think that realistically one will get a hangover on Sunday.
