so guys, in this video we are going to do some crafts. I bought this recipe container at a spite

sale

. I think it was $2. I would have to go back to my video and watch it and I just want to put some stripping paper in here so the first thing I'm going to do is paint it white where I'm going to put the stripping paper that's going to do it. highlight. You've probably heard me say that 100 times, but, then, trying to be really careful and not make a mess here, I put tape on the edges because I wanted the edges to stay black, so I didn't want to get paint on them, so I put tape on them too. blue at the bottom. because I just wanted it on the back here, so when you put the decopage paper on, I always start with a beginning, I guess if you take it off or just a starting point, I usually make it about 2 inches wide and use yse .

Owl, satin is what I use for my medium, so I put it in there, not heavy but light enough, and we're going to start with that initial strip, that's what I call it, and then we'll line the paper up with it and it was fun to do. underneath so that everything was perfectly aligned. You can see it took me a bit. I had to make sure I had it all lined up before I put it in there and once you get it. There you spray it with water, which will help it lay out a little bit better and then I just use some crumpled thread and it helps smooth it out to get the wrinkles out of the paper and from there you just work your way down.

Same steps over and over again after you're done putting the paper on uh always make sure to go over the top of everything with your medium to seal the paper so it doesn't tear and then let it dry once. It's all dry, just take some sandpaper and sand the edges. You definitely want to make sure it's dry or you'll tear the paper and I just sand the edges everywhere. This stripping paper is called Etched Field and I. I'll be sure to leave my Etsy listing in the description for you if you'd like to get it. I had bought it in January and it was in a video, I bought it from Needful Things and I had to ask them to leave me some comments and tell me what they wanted to do. I also posted it on my Facebook page, I tried to get suggestions for the decopage paper, but I don't have any comments on the color, so this is the color I chose and why I paint this. Let me go back to that video and tell you a little bit about how I got this bench. I had been looking at this and necessary things, you know.

I always got a tent and it was $111 and I didn't realize it was one of the people in front of me, he had a couple boos there so we were talking and he said he wanted to change me and I told him. Well, let's see, so I bought this. I traded it for a basket and I think he had $7 in the basket and he had 11 in this and we traded it. I think I bought that basket for $1.99 or $2.99, so it's not a bad trade. I'm sure about red, but I was thinking of painting it like a green or a blue that's already available right now and the paper room, a nice little step, that's what I call it a baby step, so it's going to be a craft that let's convert. that, do something with that, what do you think would be a nice color, guys, what is the color available right now and what kind of decopage do I have florals?
I have chippy stuff I have the corated metal I have all kinds of different

papers

I could put in here, clocks and Tic Tock and I got the cute rose pattern. I had to think about it and pick some things and figure out what to do, but I thought it would be nice and then maybe turn it around. I don't know, maybe I need a step still. I need a little to get along. I'll leave a comment below, tell me what you would do with this, what color you would paint it and what you would do.
Do it if you put something on it or if it was decopage, what would you put there? As always, I'm going to paint this white because I plan to put stripping paper on it so that the design stands out if you put white on it. or a lighter color underneath, so I'm going to do my best to be very careful and I just want it on that top edge, that's where I'm going to put the document that I posted on my Facebook page to try to get some ideas. from you about what you would do with this one, this Rose cap came third and next was the rooster, which I really wanted to do, but it came in second place and this was the butterfly and the rose pattern that came on the upper part.
So this is what I did. I know I asked you to vote for this pattern, but I guess when I was doing it I wasn't paying much attention and I found this other butterfly, since you guys like the butterfly and it's kind of the same colors as the little bench, whatever you want call it so I changed it and I hope you don't mind because you liked the butterflies so I'm just lining I know we cut the edge off that one, but I like the way it lined up. I folded it along the side so I know where to cut it, makes it a little bigger, okay, matches the colors, okay again.
First I'm going to lay down a strip about 2 inches of my medium to start, then make sure you always look from the side to make sure you cover and don't miss anything because then your paper won't stick very well. you have to be covered and then you lay it down and you spray it with a little bit of water and then you take your Saran Wrap and you just lay it down and that will help get all the wrinkles out. I'm right handed so I rotate mine completely around the other one. Then I will work. Hold the paper.
Oh yeah, I didn't put this correctly. Wait until they see it's really going to be a disaster. One good thing about this paper is that even if it is a little wet. I can pick it up and put it back, yeah I didn't put it in, oops! I even missed a place, it's not over, although guys, wait until you see, I wasn't paying much attention in this case, so I don't know what kind of training I am for you, but in the end everything turned out like I said, the role it's actually quite sturdy, so it helps when they don't line it up the way they want, they can. cure it and it didn't affect anything, it turned out really quite good.
I forget how far I got when I realized I didn't have it there yet, let's see if I can tell when it was. I think I almost was. completely done and that corner at the bottom just wasn't all the way to the top, that's where when I lined it up and started that strip, I should have looked at the entire edge and made sure I did it. I couldn't see anything blank, but I didn't learn my lesson. I'm sure I'll do a better job next time. I noticed it right there. Ed from that role isn't even at the top.
Look at me, put all this aside. I see how hard I had with this one. I was lucky that there was still some media left and that it even got stuck. I definitely hope it's a learning lesson. See, I had to replace my medium because I put it on and off so many times this mom used to. always say no, don't do what I do, do what I say, you parents ever do, remember the things they used to tell you. I was trying to be very careful on the edge because I didn't want my middle to run. on that side of the top because wherever you put it and that paper was a little bit bigger than the white edges so be very careful oh l oh he p
