It's not an exaggeration I can't get enough It's my favorite movie right now It's all I watch It helps me fall asleep at night It puts me in a good mood It's all I need But one thing I noticed when I was watching the movie , every time Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz were on screen, I noticed that they looked perfected, but they had ZERO

makeup

on their faces and I'm telling you, you can see it up close and personal, she's crying. the car she laughs they're lying together she literally can't tell they're wearing

makeup

but you know they are I mean, it's Hollywood, it's a movie, but why can't I see it?

And I think that's expert makeup art. I thought it would be fun to sit in the video today and try to make it look like I have Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet's makeup, a famous actress in a movie. I don't want you to know that I have makeup on. not in the slightest, not from any angle or in any lighting, and I don't know if I can achieve this today, so let's see if I can do it. trying to do my makeup like the movies so you can t see it...

I love her since I started my YouTube channel. I'm going to do more videos with Lisa Eldridge in the future because she's just a person that really inspires me and there's something about her that I think is so beautiful and eloquent and well organized and so classy like she's the definition of class and the The way she applies things is so meticulously put that it's so easy to watch when she does it and it's such a minimal product that it fascinates me because when you're in this social media space it's so easy to feel like a full coverage foundation, full coverage concealer. total, highlighter strips, so much baked bronzer, and that's the norm for makeup. on social media and it's for that snatched look and I'm going to do some videos like that soon, but today I want to do the exact opposite of that, so that's what we're going to do and I'm excited. so subscribe, like this video if you're excited to watch it, let's see if we can make it look like I'm not really wearing makeup, let's see if we can turn me into Kate Winslet.

This is a balanced pour-over perfecting water gel. moisturizer is a long story that I can tell you one day, but essentially I went to Los Angeles to do makeup for celebrities on the red carpet and I needed to bring my full makeup kit, so I bought this and everything went down, it wasn't absolutely. What I was told was still going to be a good time, but that's a story for another day anyway. I've had this for quite a while, that was a long, long time ago, years and years ago, I haven't gotten much use out of it.

Of this I end up using more like the water cream and moist skin cream, but I remember I liked this thing it says here to refresh, brighten and balance oily skin with this Japanese wild rose-rich weightless moisturizer that diminished the appearance of breakouts. pores and 23 karat gold to provide an instant non-comedogenic shine oh this is really slippery oh this is exactly what I wanted oh this feels good I think I'm going to take this out and use it more often too if my lighting looks different in this video I took my diffusers I turned off my lights because I felt like there was no way you could see that bright, see how you can see that right there that didn't show up with the diffuser on because it was so diffuse so something I've noticed about the makeup on screen is that there seems to be no differentiation between the neck color and the face color and there is no clear appearance of the base.
I think that's what surprises me the most is that I can't see any baseline. It means you can't see any dryness, so either these celebrities just have fantastic skin, which is probably the case, or their makeup artists are really pointing, pointing, and finding the colors that exactly match their skin. I turn the lights down a little bit, so you guys can see, but I'm really red down here. I have some darkness here and some sunspots. I also have scars down here, so these are the palettes I'll be using today. These are the RCM base palettes. I bought these years ago when I was self-employed and doing makeup and thought they would be great to have in my kit.
Now I haven't really used them much, but I've heard it countless times watching a million YouTube videos on CMA basics. of the most underrated and underused bases that exist now. I think each of these palettes were $80, so they were very, very expensive. I was going to get rid of them and then changed my mind thinking that one day I might want to use them in today's foundation. day so I'm really glad I listened to myself because I'm glad I have these so I have two different palettes here I have the lighter skin one here and then the deeper skin one here for makeup. artists what they would do for these is scrape a little bit of the color onto a little palette and mix their own custom colors so they don't have to dip into their palette which they would use like a little spatula so one thing I don't know if they're using base or are simply hiding stains.
Are they using it like a BB cream? What are they using? Are they using something like this and then actually cutting it? Maybe this bottom row overall will be for me, so I'm going to try that mmm, even that's a little too light, so I feel like this color is right for me, just stick it a little bit on my nose while looking at Lisa . I noticed how few products she uses and how much she polishes each product. skin and since again I'm

trying

to get it to a level where it can't be seen on my face at all, I'm going to apply it and then touch it so far, I think it's pretty good, although not very obvious that I'm wearing makeup, at least in person it's very natural looking this really looks like my skin wears a bit like a deeper peach color here just a little bit to color correct any blue that Honestly I would love to see a famous makeup artist doing this on someone for a movie specifically because I've seen makeup artists do beauty makeup for television and stuff.
I feel like that's just a little bit different. I feel like the techniques are heavier for TV because they always say you need more makeup for TV and maybe that's the case for film too and I just don't realize it. I really haven't been able to find anything. On YouTube there is something like skin on this product that just melts away, so this is where we are now. I think I definitely need a little more coverage, but as you can see, this is the no makeup side. This is the side. with the makeup and I think I did a good job.
I don't really feel like I can see makeup on my skin in any way, it just looks like I have some moisturizer and nice skin. I definitely need some. more coverage in certain areas I have a lot of redness down here okay I feel like we're getting there tell me you can see some makeup on this face I can't do anything up close and personal just don't think about it you know. that there's makeup here it looks like maybe I have perfect skin, especially when you look at this side and you see how much redness and discoloration there is, especially in areas like this, but on this side I feel like you might think you really have? nice skin, I really appreciate it, it only took me two and a half hours well, I'll be fine, I'll be, I'm halfway to Kate Winslet, well, maybe like Kate Winslet's butler, yeah, the good thing about a product like this : it is not. a liquid product that dries down is a cream so it stays moist it doesn't actually dry down in the same way as some products that once they are on the skin you can't move them products like this are meant to kind of be placed on layered and moved and honestly, it's a unique formula.
I really enjoy it you can't really see it on my skin like you really can't some of you might ask why I'm using such a small brush for this and I think. That's because I really wanted to identify the areas instead of just buffing them all over the skin. I feel like that would have immediately given me a much firmer hand and wouldn't have applied too much product, I never really didn't want to. To do that, I think something that's very distracting when you're watching a movie or television, unless it's clearly for that character, is when you realize there's a lot of makeup.
This is a very strange example because it involves special effects makeup, but tell me yes. Did any of you notice 13 Reasons Why in the first season when the clay hits your head? I swear I couldn't pay attention to what was happening on this very serious show because it looked like a giant piece of clay stuck to his head. I was like Hello, what? it's just that I think it seems covered up enough that I feel like if this were a scene from the movie and it was just supposed to look like I had a long day at work and Jass, but I just got engaged, then this would work.
For that, let's look for some dust. I loved this in the past. This is a very, very light color, so I'll use the lightest hand possible. I'm going to use very, very little product and very gently. press it into my skin. I have discovered many things in my search for videos of famous makeup artists that many of them use products that are not cruelty free. Unfortunately, this is the morphe 48. By the way, I really like this brush. This is the urban one. Broken brow foil in the color brown sugar and I've been using Betty brunette but it was a little too dark it seems like it's going to work it's very very light it may be kind of tophi so I'm hoping it's not too blonde and rare.
I'm not really going to like extending my eyebrows too much or doing anything like that. I'll really just fill them in softly in films and films. I was looking at their eyebrows and they're so understated they're just not something you'd ever think looking at their face, they're not bad, they're just nothing like you would ever be, oh I like their eyebrows, that's not like that at all, My cat caught me today, he was being very affectionate. and I was giving him Snuggies, he turned around and hit me. I honestly feel like that's where I want to leave it right, now for the eyes, I'm going to go into the son of Fenty a little bit and I'm just going to take it with a fluffy brush and really apply a lot of that and not just sweep it into my crease, but I'll also swipe it right across my eyelid, just the smallest amount to add some dimension to my face, maybe I'll do that.
With the RCM, one color palette, the darkest one, and I'll use maybe a shade like this, but nothing too deep for me, just add a little bit of warmth in the areas and use that elf brush that I used second, which was the 105 and Really just adding some dimension to this is probably one of the most difficult makeups I've ever done and as the most nervous I've ever been, I feel like I'm going to be a fine toothed comb that you guys are going to be looking at. my skin so close but you know what's fun it's fun to try something completely different different it's fun to try something completely different than what I'm used to OMG it's taken 10 times longer than my normal makeup but it's like a challenge in a way very funny.
I like this because of the way this elf brush is really cool. I don't know if you guys can see it, but it has its bristles and then it extends beyond the bristles right there in the front so it's like a very smooth application of the product, there's really no way to go overboard with this brush. I know I already put powder on, but this product applies really well, it doesn't seem to matter much, when do you stop? Literally no I don't know how that works I want to take it Do I need some blush? I want to curl my eyelashes.
I know that's probably a move they do in the

movies

just because I don't feel it, at least from my human eye. I can't really see that they are using tabs. I mean, I feel like I could maybe tell people apart, but still their eyelashes look very discreet, they don't look long at all, maybe in scenes where they're like at a party or something, but they honestly look similar. to her natural lashes, so that's what I'm going to stick with today for her lips. I want to just do my lips, but it's a better situation so I'll just use a little bit of lip liner and this is the Colourpop lipstick in the shade BFF and I need to sharpen that up too.
I have a shirt. Brewer wouldn't have helped me if he could find a pencil sharpener. They would use it as the most discreet makeup in the world, but I'll have like a light lip product. Even in one of the vacation scenes, she said berry kiss and said, "a better kiss is, you know," so they recognize that's wearing lipstick and I don't have berry kiss, but it literally looks like a lip balm, it doesn't look like I'm wearing any kind of berry kiss and I'm just going to put a little bit of lip balm on like a little bit and then I'm going to take out most of the shine okay, now I'm going to curl my eyelashes andI'm going to apply some mascara.
I wanted to make a mascara that looks very fluffy and natural but at the same time gives an effect. I have bigger eyelashes than me. Making this eyelash curler is so rubbish, that's the damn Tarte eyelash curler and even though it's like I understand it, I see why the little piece like the little plunger II, the little rubber piece It fell and when I tried to put it back it was like all deformed and weird and it wouldn't go back into you, literally, it won't go back in and it's like garbage. I can't get it to work at all.
This is the one from NYX. Okay, I probably rolled them up weirdly, but you know that. this is a mascara i'm going to use actually just a sponsored video with NYX about this mascara a while ago this is the NYX mascara on the rise this is not sponsored because of the way I've worked with them in the past but no I don't know, I'm making this video now. This is a very pretty mascara, it has a very separating and fluffy look because it almost starts off like it's pre-dried, but in the best way, you'll see what I'm talking about, how it's definitely making my lashes longer, thicker and fluffier , but not caked.
It just looks good. Some mascaras when you first take them out of the tube are too wet and it's like they take a while to dry and have a really good finish, but this one starts. Well, the hourglass caution mascara, I really like it, but it's one of those that starts out too wet for me and I need to wait until it dries a little bit, but that's about one coat of this mascara and that's it. approximately the same. From what I'm going to understand, it's not something you'd ever pay attention to and the bottom lashes aren't exaggerated at all.
Put a light coat on my lower lashes. I think that's all I'm going to do. Go with the mascara, you can also build this up a little to make it more impactful, but it's not necessary at all, you can keep this lash fluffy, but if you want to build it up you definitely can. and I feel like the only thing I'm missing is a little bit of blush and I'm talking like I think I'm going to use this Sigma blush palette. I'm going to take this color here mixed with a little bit of that and I'm going to take the smallest amount, so I do it by taking my brush and dipping it in there and then you can see it takes a lot of product and then I'm going to remove the most part on my hand I think that gave me some life in my face yeah yeah okay I think that's it I think that's all I'm going to do I'm going to look closely and see if I can tell if I'm wearing makeup or not knowing that I'm wearing makeup, you know, maybe a little bit down here, but I think this would be very bland in a movie, I think if it were and I wouldn't be an extra in a movie, but I would be like the protagonists funny, extravagant, weird, best friends, you'd never think looking at their makeup, you'd think you're looking at the supporting lead, that's the person I would be, like I'm the Kathryn Hahn of the

movies

, you know, I'm not really the Kate Winslet.
I want to be, but I'm not, let's recreate a vacation scene, okay? Oh, I hate myself and I'm not a good actress at all. I would be that person in the movie. I think you're getting married. Wait. Oh, how obvious. but I feel like with this makeup you would never know it was makeup, you would be like you had really good skin and I would say thank you so much. I know it only took six different colors of our CMA foundation and a light dusting of powder. a little bit of mascara and blush, it doesn't take any effort, but I think it turned out really well.
I think this is true. no makeup, makeup. I think there's no makeup, makeup where it's still very obvious that you're wearing makeup and then there's something so minimal. that you are like makeup and I hope that's how it looks, let me know if you like this video. I really enjoyed filming it. I definitely want to do more upcoming videos related to more celebrity makeup or celebrity makeup artists and see if I can recreate the look and see how things are done in a totally different way. I've done my makeup the same way I do for years and I think it's fun to try new techniques and that's how we learn and that's how we grow and what I've discovered is that famous makeup artists do things very differently than us and I think a lot of times those looks are timeless, well thought out and executed and I think a lot of us could last a lot longer. tips from that side of things and really bringing it to YouTube.
I think a lot of times it seems like, because we see instant glam makeup all the time, that's what makeup is and I think in the everyday world makeups are a little bit more like maybe maybe. somewhere in between maybe not as natural as this but maybe not as glamorous as you see on Instagram and although sometimes I love a good full coverage like snatch many times I also like to look more natural this is extremely natural because I was going to ask if you are just perfect and the answer is yes, it is not necessary for the RCM to have a color palette.
For this, I think you could honestly use any type of foundation, as long as it closely matches you and your skin tone. use a very small amount of it, wet it well first and just buff it out and I think this was definitely what I was hoping to achieve. Let me know what you think. Can I ask you a question? Yes, can you tell I have? makeup on it really looks like I'm wearing makeup no not really like obviously mascara there's a couple of spots excuse me and where it's weird where it's right around your eye like oh like a like it's like something obvious right Here it's not obvious and it's like you had to ask someone.
There's no one else to ask, but compared to my usual makeup, no, it doesn't look like what you're wearing, it looks like I have great skin? Yes, mission accomplished. Give this video. A thumbs up if you like this style of video, subscribe to my YouTube channel if you're looking for more videos like this and I think thank you so much for watching, thank you Lisa Eldridge for inspiring me, thank you to the movie Holiday for existing and being. the best movie ever released since it has such a low rotten tomato score. I will never know. I'm disappointed in people who review things, sometimes movies that are total but they get reviewed and rated like a nine out of 10 and then movies.
Like vacation gets like a 5 out of 10 and I'm like Hi, did you even see this movie? How the hell do I mean? I know some of Cameron Diaz's acting roles are a little iffy, but right from the start it becomes absolutely magical. forget the beginning the first 15 minutes move on it's the best it's okay and I think you guys thank you so much for watching and I'll see you in my next video bye bye it's very well done and very well done that's the word I'm going to say. two or three times full coverage foundation full coverage highlight full highlight you don't have tweezers you do what you have to do I think I might see if I have the power of Charlotte Tilbury I'm going to go in with some son of Fenty my orange my stillborn just me I tie in the eye for this I'm mascara I'm orange but at the same time I wave and I do it by dipping my brush in it and then stroking most of it but they were all I definitely want to make more videos having to protect.
I like, ah, Shadow Berry Kiss. I know she doesn't have any vision.
