Transforming a Village in Hardcore Minecraft (#2)

Apr 21, 2024
Hello everyone, wax FR here and welcome back to episode two of the Hardcore Let's Play series. We're starting the episode right outside our first house in this series and we have a lot more to do. The point of this episode is actually not to care. of myself, but to get some houses for the

village

rs because you know, I mean, I have a house, but the

village

rs have nothing. The only dwelling we've built so far is actually the small dirt hut where we have a fixer-upper villager. and our silk touch villager we are going to completely renovate this village here just so we can see it from our home with a little inspiration.

I'm not kidding at all when I tell you on the stream that it only took me one try. get The Mending book It took me about 50 tries to get the silk touch book but actually on my first try I got The Mending book but we just bought our first mending book and our first silk touch book right now, let's go back inside real quick. a small amount of charm and a small amount of interior decoration that I would like to show you that we have done so far. The first floor is not completely finished yet because we don't have many of the decorating materials I need.

More Interesting Facts About,

I would like to use candles like glow berries and amethyst, but we will get a lot of that, but we did what we could so far with the materials we have and I am really liking this. I can't wait for the decorated pots to have something. ceramic shirts on them I tried experimenting with a couple different types of blocks for what we have so far and I have never used stalactites as pillars that go from the ceiling to the floor in an interior part of the decoration and I love realizing it right now . that the lighting is rusting now I should get some waxed copper, but that means getting some honey and that actually means going looking for a hive.

This guy liked the house, which I'm pretty good with. I would like more villagers to come and move here, but let's go to the third floor real quick, never mind the location of the stairs. I don't know if this will be permanent and I think the enchantment settings will be up here, but I don't know. I know if I'm going to have a more open concept for this floor here, let's place our first anvil and get this Fortune 3 pickaxe with a repair book, we have an unenchanted hoe and you know, let's just drop a low level on it, let's get efficiency one real quick so you can see what the next enchantments will be, honestly efficiency 4 on shovel right now sounds pretty good, also a new ax with Unbreaking three with a nice silk feel.

It's not too bad and since we have the silk touch book right here, I'm just going to throw it into an unassuming pickaxe and now that we're ready to go, we can finally gather a bunch of blocks that we couldn't before this guy Jumping of joy, I'll follow him outside and we've been decorating the inside a little more here too. The second floor actually has a small balcony that looks over here to where the polar bears and horses are. I currently call this home, but very soon they will be moving outside. We have too many things to do in this series.
There are too many things happening. I collected too many mobs in the first episode and now they all need homes, but before any of those. The boys can get houses, we have to house all these villagers, this village here is starting to look a little plain compared to everything we've been doing here, there's a lot of landscaping we need to do too, I kind of want to flatten this out. area to be able to make a nice wall and these guys have been breeding, it looks like we have about 10 villagers here so we have a solid village, we can connect a security wall closer to this mountain than WS all the much closer to these ice spikes, well maybe it's not that big but this is a pretty big sized village, it has two bells here so technically it's two villages, all these buildings are about to be replaced and what are you doing there Up, friend?
This is not allowed at all, but I'm going to walk away and pretend I didn't see anything, so for now the two librarians I have here will stay in the dirt compound. I want them to die. I had a Mason that was relaxing in the house and now he's gone. I think he drowned at some point when I was away, but yeah, I don't want that to happen to these guys, so they're just going to die. Stay in the dirt compound until I have more houses for him and everything here is getting so noisy. It's time for them to go for a second.
In fact, let's make more cows first real quick, let's get rid of all the wheat we have. us and now that we have that gun, let's get some leather, this guy is coming to hang out with his friends, sir, he can't get into the dirt compound, he actually has a house, actually, he says, dude, you just build me a house right here. we can get Unbreaking three on a blade right here and that's it, you know what we can combine with our efficiency 4, we just have to level up a little more here, we're really trying to get a good enchantment on this sword, we have a Sharpness Four already has a sword, but we need something a little more than that, so let's leave this to Unbreaking Three and Sharpness 3.
Okay, this cat doesn't know how to get to the bed. He is very funny. I have a bed right under the stairs. but for some reason he thinks he's alone on the stairs, but you know it's not the bed, dude, but guys, by the way, they actually named this cat and rocks was the name they chose, let's call him C. I haven't found none. name tag yet, but let's call this cat rocks. I saw the name rocks in the comments section at least 20 times. If you want to name this puppy right here, let me know. Actually, you know what, let's give this guy a blue. strain real quick just to make it a little different as soon as we get a name tag on it, rocks is the first guy that will get a name, we also have paul and poblo, the polar bears outside, these guys will get a name too but now the pup, if you have any name suggestions, definitely leave them in the comments section below.
I'd love to hear it before I go. I also wanted to show you that we have a button here on the floor for a good reason if you go here here there are no blocks on the floor so you hear a chime every time I open the door and I go in and out at first I thought this was cool you know, We have some kind of alarm that goes off every time a villager or someone enters the house, but I don't do it. It gets a little old real quick, so I put a button here to stop it.
Now is the time to buy those books. We have some emeralds to buy them, but these books are something like that. expensive since we haven't zombieified or healed any of them yet and this guy is trapped on the ship, sorry but I mean we have a book of silk touch available for 11 emeralds and our repair book is available for 20, which is not so good. Also, if we jump to the Village, we have a couple more librarians that are set up, but these guys have a couple of different books that we're trading. In fact, I'm going to jump into this little jail here, so this is a Commercial sharpness five and efficiency 5 are usually quite expensive, but efficiency 4 was the one I settled for because I mean it was half the price and I couldn't find efficiency 5.
We can combine these books for now and we will get an efficiency 5 book later, but the efficiency 5 book at the beginning was 64 emeralds and I thought no way, so 27 emeralds I guess we'll do it with a combination of both books too on this side of town we have. a villager who is now selling us feather drops 4 I don't want to fall from too high and take fall damage to the point of death, so yeah, I thought it was a good idea 17 emeralds aren't that good for him However, trade, as you can see there is a trend here, everything is very expensive, so we could turn them into zombies and heal them, which may take a while, or we could just do a mini raid farm and, you know, just get out of the village, which is definitely next. step in the plan for today's episode, but before we leave the Village area, there are a couple of beehives around here that I wanted to grab now that we have a silk touch pickaxe you're coming with.
Actually, you know? Let's take this tree out and we have hive number two right here the feel of the silk is amazing all we need is a couple of campfires to put under the hives and we can start harvesting some honey. I'm going to break this right here and break this right here and you know what we're going to do take this out and I'm going to put the nest on top of both of them, then we can use it and get some honey. Now we can use some candles to help with our interior decoration, but I haven't even run. on any spider, but I definitely need some rope, fortunately there are other uses for honeycombs, we can apply them to oxidized copper, just normal copper blocks.
I guess the oxidized copper on the ceiling wanted it to be just regular copper, so let's take all that down we're going to wax this real quick and wax this quick I think this is the first time I've had that wax on the achievement. I've never used waxed copper before, but now it's going to be shiny, we can get it. the earth is hanging right there, we will have the acacia signs on all four sides and there we go, it looks much cleaner, we will use the oxidized copper for something else later. I have yet to actually build anything with copper. my

hardcore

series, so I really want to do it.
For some reason, rocks just don't go to bed or relax on any floor. Actually, he just wants to hang out on the stairs, so I go to the flower forest real quick. In fact, I was lucky enough to find a nice surprise, so there is a town right next to the flower forest and there is also a beehive right here that I can grab. Now let's go, but we're going to go to that village next to the flower forest and rob a villager instead of all his items this time we're going to pass through this first village, this one is still a little far away, there we go, I see poppies, tulips, okay, there's the sunflower forest, go through the flowers and on the other side of the hill we should, oh, there's a road and here we go, we have our villagers.
I'm going to have to take one of you, which one of you wants to get on the boat? In fact, I see a guy down here. no job, we just get you on the boat right here, he just walked in the other direction, okay, how about you get on the boat? So, okay, I'm leaving here with you, sir, let's go now. I'm going to try to catch us. as close as possible to where this raid farm facility will be, and in fact, there's another hive right here that I need to take before I forget about it.
I saw a bee fly away from her. Yes, there was a bee that just returned. I heard it. and we'll take him home, that horse looks majestic up there, slowly crossing the countryside towards that Savannah biome and we should probably get rid of some of that climbing grass. We're speedrunners these guys probably can't even see. We are going very fast at this moment, we go through the flower forest a little further and we are almost at the pond and if you can look to my right a little, you might see something special. We have a raider outpost that we had found all the way here right next to the flower farm.
If I had looked to my left even a little bit in the last episode, I would have seen this, but no, I didn't look to my left at all. and this went unnoticed, the sunsets look beautiful as always and I have actually yet to enter the building. I want to get the goat horn that is probably there now to make this work. I need to get this guy closer to the composter and what do you see? Are you here friend? What are those? What are those green dots? He is doing it. It's working so far. I really hope he doesn't fall for it.
I hope it goes directly to the glass cube, one step, two steps. three steps oh he's all the way in so we're going to lock you right here buddy you're a farmer now wait where you're going no no no no no no well nevermind he's gone and of course Done, wait, wait, don't come in here. I'm going to turn all these trapdoors this way so that guy doesn't even think about walking on them and now they're shooting at me from behind, they already know what they're going into, if they have. I hadn't seen this design before, it's basically just four corners of water sliding towards the middle to send each mob falling.
Now this guy is getting further and further away. Now he's coming back slowly, you know, just walk away, no, no, no, don't go. there, okay, please sir, get on the boat, this guy is just living on the edge. Yo, why is he doing this right now? Please get out of there, maybe get on the boat. Yeah, here we go, okay, here we go. Dude, that's why you're being like this. The villagers are always causing trouble. Break the ax and he has no way out. I'm going to break this glass and, oh wait, no, no, no, no, sir, make everything look a lot better back here we also have our first spider right here hopefully buddy you can give me some rope I still have to pick up some rope and you don't have any there's a witch and a creeper. right here, okay, there will surely be more spiders in this field and we have another spider, okay, come on sir, I'll see you later, there's no thread left, although okay, wait, we're going to have to work a little for this, according to listen. a spider, oh, it's right behind me, are there vines around it?
Actually, I'm just going to hold on. I'm going to lure these spiders into the water because there are too many vines, oh my gosh, there's like five spiders here, one. two three oh rope, let's go, it doesn't matter, it was just a spider, friendokay, let's go with a rope here, please give me a rope statistically, you have to okay, there are two ropes and Creeper, you know? I don't have gunpowder yet, if I can get some gunpowder, that would be great and you left, you have gunpowder. I have a zombie here now boom you're gone now after today we have a bunch of things we can create we have a beehive over here we can make some scaffolding for some decoration oh wait we need a rope not a honeycomb and then we can use the honeycomb to finally start making some candles, put the red candle on real quick and I'm going to put it on the copper rod upside down, there we go, not that bad, let's grab some flint and steel real quick and light this guy up, okay, finally It's time for us to have some candles in this place and we finally have enough iron to make a sufficient number of iron doors that I'm going to use for the top of these little tables here and immediately place them. in the wrong place, but we have a desk in the corner on each side of the room and I thought using some iron hatches would look nice next to the andesite.
I love that we're slowly adding each type of block here, let's take this electron out real quick and oh wait, we've got a bell we have to fix, we're going to put the scaffolding right there and a beehive right there, the bell continues? No, it's done, look, it's time for us to head to the Village to get some. It's a small refresh and we can fall completely without worrying about taking too much damage from falling feathers. We can't stop here without having some. Oh my goodness, I already have a steak we can't stop without. bringing out some of these cows because it's getting too loud around here Bing and bang and boom and Bop well now we have to do the scary part and jump with the cows and grab all the steak and all the leather, what have we got?
Let's see if I can get out of here, excuse me, here we go, okay, here we go, okay, let's go back to the Village, what's up, asshole, how are you? I'm going to flatten a couple of areas and, well, we have To fill this area right here, this has to go, we're going to build a barrier wall, but first we have to make the landscape look a little bit softer, so let's start take out and ooh, that efficiency is very nice, it has a silky touch. Here too, so now I'm gripping the grass, man, we're moving really well in this game.
Let's start softening the place a little. I want to keep a lot of the natural landscape, but places like this, you know, just fill this in, we'll make a nice gradual slope going up to these upper buildings. I'm glad there are fools here because I'm going to start a fool sanctuary. I've always wanted a fool's sanctuary and it's about time we got one going. First we will have to create a villager breeder and then we will have to get as many idiots as we can see. Now here it looks much better. I'm going to take out this tree.
We'll finally have some custom trees in the next episode. I'm going to start working on getting a lot of custom trees, like these cherry trees, they'll probably be the first ones I work on and then we'll slowly move them to this village, but uh. At this point I should probably get out some torches because these Iron Golems are starting to take a bit of a beating. This guy looks new, although I probably also pulled out some torches when I was clearing some of this grass here, but for now. We're just going to burn everything down oh we've got some spiders okay I'll grab the rope come here buddy and boom and oh my god it's fast okay we've got some more spiders right here everyone come oh my god these guys are so , very fast, friend.
This is crazy, how is everyone overjoyed all of a sudden? That's another reason why we have to light everything up here too these Creepers here, man these guys gotta go, they think they run the house, but we're going to build a wall donkey. He's still chilling here, way to go buddy, thanks for staying here. I haven't really brought him back into the house like I said I was going to, but I'm going to take him down a notch, hopefully he'll just stay relaxed and I'll. I hate to do it, but to keep the land a little quiet here we're going to have to remove this animal pin.
Sorry, donkey, but we will start a corral for animals. pretty soon this guy is going to get beat up, we're about to make this wall just for you buddy, we've collected a lot of andesite stone and oak so I thought I'd use them for a lot of the wall. It's a lot easier to be able to jump and I'll get some slabs to make it easier to walk too so I don't have to jump all these dirt blocks, but I'll start at the back. of the town because it seems that all these houses are in a straight line.
I'm going to set up shop right here, take out a lot of oak logs and okay, so we'll start by probably measuring a wall with a lot of stone bricks, part of the wall will be in the water, which is great, it'll add a nice little element to the Villa, we can have a small pond here, I'm going to make my It's better to leave as many natural elements here as possible. This guy is on the perimeter of the city. I could be turning right here and you're outside the wall. Let's start going up the hill a little bit and get to work. of the oak logs in jump down, throw these very quickly.
In fact, I'll probably have to make a stone ax to remove them here, we're going to put some oak slabs between them and put up a spruce fence with a little lantern. hanging doesn't look too bad so far, let's start working on some more of the stone here, it looks like it's me. The landscaping here has brought the donkey to the other side of the bamboo. Sorry buddy, he doesn't look as happy as he once was, you're soon going to have a guy coming off the wall, you don't want to be on the other side of the wall when this piles up, this guy really is a jerk , okay, so now, a little bit of some andesite. and some stone to stick out a little bit, we're going to have 3x three towers between three spaced oak logs here and actually let's put some oak slabs here again, we're going to keep the lighting around all of this.
You're going to need a lot of flashlights The wall doesn't look that bad but it's missing a bit of color Omg I can't even build the wall without it raining it's always raining luckily the sun is about to set and that's too pretty. cool right there the sun's rays are peeking through even though there's a storm right now I'm about to sleep and then the rainbow is going to come out so we can decorate the rain went away and the rainbow came out oh that's perfect so let's jump on the wall here are a couple of things I would like to add, let's put some of these pots with the young acacia trees.
We'll repeat this each time we'll need to get maybe 50 more decorated pots, but then in between all the oak logs, let's put some moss here to give it some additional green color with some dark oak hatches to hold it in and then once these sweet berries are fully grown, we'll add a little extra spice here too which already added a lot. now we just have to keep replicating everything and that's nothing a creek can't handle a couple of berry bushes here around the Deep Slate Corner Tower and we've got some flashlights to throw around we decided that oh man it looks like the sucker is trying to leave, let's not even allow it, no way, friend, I'm going to build a lot of deep slate towers.
I also think I could do a little landscaping with this side here because it falls too hard, I think accidentally. I locked this guy outside, I could let him through, we could have an opening through the tower real quick and in fact, I should probably turn on a light here in case something shows up. I'm going to start covering up some of the water that also covers this old road here since this is just not going to be part of the new Villa. I can hear a little bit of water running, we just need to eliminate all that sound and increase.
I'm thinking maybe right here only about three or four. blocks from where we are now also every once in a while it's good to fill in a little bit of this with moss, you can shred it up, it's starting to look a lot better over here, I gotta make sure we have this back lit like Okay, let's build a little bit here, no I want to see it better, okay, so it doesn't look so bad. I'm going to make these deep slate towers a little taller, but it's nice to finally see this place a little fortified now. we started working on specific buildings.
I just want to make sure all these corner towers are tall enough. Let's make sure this guy is tall enough here and we'll get back to him eventually. I'm thinking of these smaller guys. here we have to work, yes, as if an iron golem had just climbed up. This is, yeah, you know it's short when the Iron Golems can climb right on top of them, a couple of Bings, a couple of explosions, a couple of booms, a couple of Bops, so this tower here is unfortunately being obstructed . next to the old Cleric's Tower and I thought it would be cool if the Cleric's Tower was part of the wall just to show a little History here, but I want to finish the wall so this guy will probably have to go.
Just make this guy a little taller, that should end this right here and we'll start taking down the Cleric's Tower. I've never made a custom mini Cleric's Tower before, so I'm excited to tackle that project. make sure you replace this cobblestone ladder tower in the next build, so this guy trying to be a cleric right now, dude, now is not the time to build just some dirt to hang out in the tower because no I did it. I don't want to build up to 50 blocks to this hole, but I'm going to build a door all the way down here.
If I open this just for a moment, I might get some of this berry on the other side. On the other hand, I'm going to turn this into a door so we can use it as a dock, but right now I'm going to leave that closed so that no villagers try to escape. You won't escape this donkey too, Bud, I'd like to. It's necessary to have a little pond in this area, but I don't think all of this needs to be water, so we'll probably bring in some moss here, let's just make the pond area a little more circular and this whole area of water.
We're just going to fill it in, mix in some grass with some moss, the wall has been replaced, we've got towers on all the corners and we'll make these gates, but first I think we need better enclosures for everyone. villagers it's time to make some custom houses for the villagers, we have the city center right here, but I was thinking, let's leave out this Iron Golem and what are you doing in the pond, buddy, yeah, this farmer is lost, needs a little more space. Here only to live and work comfortably, so let's start with the farmer's house.
This wasn't originally the farmer's house, but you know, first things first. Let's take off the roof and take off the frame. I like oak for the roof, but we should wrap it with deep slate or stone and all the oak logs here, replace them with some stripped spruce or maybe some dark oak. I'll try to leave the terracotta, but let's put the spruce logs in the frame and start peeling. all the spruce we're going to use stairs and deep slate slabs on the perimeter of the roof so now we have a whole new style for the roof and okay that actually works a little bit we're going to bring in a little awning.
We go out to find some shade and we need to remove the rest of these pillars, we take out these oak ladders and we raise the roof just one level and we can make an awning down here starting right now, okay I lost one but it's actually possible that we don't do it. I'll even take it that far, but I'll only take it about four or five for now, this will actually make the path seem a little more immersive because it's going to end, I'm glad we have a silk touch now that we can. grab them any minute and this is getting loud let's take all of these out let's get some trapdoors here and some trapdoors there this Iron Golem is trying to get in the way here but we'll turn the front porch into some stone bricks and get a bit of deep slate to connect to the roof and that's not in the red point, we'll even close a double door.
I have yet to use drip blocks, so I guess we'll use it for the roof on these little builds we're going to make. connect somemoss on the back, cover it with some dark oak hatches like we did on the outside walls. Now we have a small flower bed in the back and around the sides. We can never use too many decorated pots. fence with a flashlight underneath and you know what, we're going to put a decorated pot underneath now we just need some greenery on the top and if we go down to the bottom we can put some greenery on the bottom here too I decided I wanted to change these fences even a jungle forest place the doors up there, okay that's a little more colorful, let's move this from left to right, place a spore flower that we found earlier, let's move this bed from the outside to the inside and We'll slap this guy right here, decorate the inside, but let's take a step back and for now this looks like a house we could easily duplicate, let's fix the roof real quick.
I just wanted to add the rest of these trap doors, add some barrels, maybe a pumpkin up here and you know, let's actually put some chains on the sides. With some wings hanging down, this is just going to add a little extra flavor and while I'm thinking about it , let's add a little more interior decoration. I was about to walk away and start duplicating and then I just kept thinking of more things to add the artboard on top. Well, now it feels much cozier here. Some full size aelas on the side to wrap it around. How will we look if we approach near the South Gate?
Let's jump. a couple blocks here and okay, you know what I like about this house, now we can double it and double it, you've been on a Twitch stream, we actually built four new houses and thank you all for joining in, if you did, It's twitch.tv/wax. frod we stream every day and feel free to join if you want, it can all come together pretty quickly because the bones of the house are there, you just have to know, just build around it, make everything look good, put some flowers in, we've got the landscape creeping into the side of this house and I think I'm going to have some grass creeping into the side of this house too, you know, we should take off some of these buds so we can put some lilacs in here.
I missed one over here so we have to do number five but number four we just have to put the flashlights down actually wait let's grab these buttons too we can put some rose bushes on the side bing bang and then a boom and a Bop. We will put small overhangs in front of the doors and, above all, the windows. Many of these houses had the exact same structure except for the initial farmhouse and we have this house right here that we could turn into something special, let's just remove everything. these logs, let's take out the roof too, it's time for you to go, friend, there are so many Iron Golems around at all times.
I feel like I'm always about to accidentally hit one. I just have to be very cautious and I actually just realized it. Right now, wait, do I have trap doors? I have Mangrove hatches. We need to put some Mangrove hatches on the side of this building. Give it a little more color here too. Okay, it'll look a lot better that way. I'll stay with the. Same basic shape as this house, but I think instead of using Cobblestone for the walls, we're going to use Cobble Deep Slate just to try to change it up a little bit.
Mr. Librarian, you will soon have a roof over your head, something different. What I'd like to do with the frame is put an oak beam in the middle and we'll actually put these two wide ones in the windows and hit the rest on the bottom and take them all off and I haven't been sleeping we have some. Ghosts are coming but I have an iron golem here to help hey wait hey hey you didn't do anything buddy to be fair I also didn't do anything that guy needs to escape ah they're ambushing me and you Done now we can go back to the building.
I'm going to make some stairs with the normal bricks and stone and we can get to the roof. We are going to use these blocks interchangeably. This ceiling is a little strange because it is uniform. amount of blocks, so I'm having a bit of a hard time trying to figure it out. I don't think I've ever worked with an equal amount of blocks on a roof, so I'm going to use some trap doors and maybe we can just end up using some of the ladders again, take out some ladders like this and wonder if hanging two lanterns will be the best option, we'll go one two and actually, okay, that's not so bad, it's always nice. to try new things I have used many combinations so far we have the acacia wood with the granite and the brick from there we have the spruce and the jungle and the dark oak on the back we have the oak with the spruce and on the other side here down below we just did jungle wood and some spruce and then of course with The Farmhouse we did some dark oak and some spruce again, but we haven't used bamboo boards yet so let's get these.
Up here on the roof, put out some campfires, we'll get them all out, man, these bamboo ladders and boards look pretty good. I definitely need to start building with this type of wood more often. I'm going to make the chimney move. even more Spruce hatches are going to be placed here between all these Mangrove buttons now we have quite a bit of color on the roof and if we walk along the side we have a little awning here eventually these paths We're just going to line up with each other, but for now We don't have the slabs in place, we have to focus on the inside of some of these places, although if we were to take out some of these original blocks and replace them. with a scaffold now that looks a lot better and actually if we remove them right here, we can move the bed like this and take some oak hatches and create a wall, we'll need to put up a spruce desk. the corner, okay, that's a storm, it's always raining, let's go to sleep, we put a couple of tulips inside and we'll put a couple of tulips outside, so just a couple of extra pieces of decoration, here we're going to load some hatches. at the top and I think some note blocks here at the bottom and it's not too bad, just a small amount of blocks will actually be a big help here and you know, I'm going to move the blast furnace back there, one The villagers will take that blast furnace as a work block and I will slowly move the rest of these to the houses.
We already have a group of fishermen, so the barrel here doesn't matter too much. We have enough. of barrels included in the constructions they are already building the house right across the street. Street we can go ahead and put a bar to get out of here. We already have a fisherman here, but we can put a barrel right here and then we can set up our little one. Bedroom, it will be very fun to decorate them. Take out the cobblestone stairs and we'll get a nice wooden desk. Place some young trees and some flowers for more color.
We will use some lightning rods for decoration and without lighting. the torch, we may need some flashlights now this place already looks much more welcoming. I've also been enjoying just randomizing these work blocks on the outside of buildings, so now we have a couple more work blocks for you to get used to. and in this house there is no good there is a guy sleeping here but we don't have any work blocks so we will take out the middle block of the desk and we will put a loom now the villagers will just assume those work block positions and we will just wait for it do, let's run back to this house, hit a cauldron right in the middle, hit the mapping table.
Next on the list for me was the brewing stand here so we have to get a cleric in this city we made him disappear when we took him away so I think getting a brewing tower or a trading hall of clerics right in the center of the city, right next to this gate, would work quite well for much of the front part of the city. It's already sold out, so I thought, you know, let's do a couple of builds, maybe one more house in the claric trading hall right here. I think it would be great if the landscape moved a little bit towards the build, so let's start with the build here we start with a 9x 11 base, the back will be much taller than the front at this point.
I'm using just stone bricks, but I'll work with the stone blocks, it's a little faster for me to spam. Knocking a couple of these off the wall now to get a 5x5 square for the tower shape, we'll start using some cobblestone walls to go up the sides, now we have a solid way of seeing where we can place all of these windows. Placing them between all the pillars feels good to finally need some scaffolding. We have a build that is finally tall enough to start. Now some stone brick stairs to enclose the 5x5 square. They give us a small platform to stand on once we arrive. the roof then, as promised, I need to make a way to get there via a ladder.
I'm going to try to make this a little more interesting by putting a second layer here. Let's make the outside a little more exciting. to remove some of these and just add some Bing Bang Boom and Bop slabs put some flowers outside on the window sills before putting up any of these glass panels we put up the front door and I decided to install two back doors just in case the villagers are going to have some trouble getting in and I'm not going to put any ladder on the bottom shelf or the bottom block because I feel like they're going to get stuck on this second layer, but I'm going to put the ladder that goes to the roof and we're going to light this up here. also.
Place a flashlight on all four sides just to make it brighter. Now, for a little bit of interior decoration, let's go down and we can place the preparation stand. in the middle and let's get some desks right here, we've got some Acacia hatches to give it a little extra color, let's get that floor down and voila, we've got a nice little room, this guy's been looking at me, it's a little strange, I'm going to get this, uh, this last hatch right here and we'll attach some flashlights to the outside, stepping back. I like it, it's like it's the original shape, but I think I'm forgetting this front balcony area, so up. here on the roof of this first room, if I jump, I should be able to do it, yeah, let's break this real quick, let's get our pickaxe out and go through, yeah, okay, now we're going to have a door, we're going to cover this with trapdoors and Yeah, okay , so this definitely doesn't even have a railing cover going up, go up some stairs at the top now, if I can go around the corner here, I should be able to get this last Lantern boom, okay, here we go, now it's all lit up.
We'll round the corners up here now while we can. I think that might have been the last step and okay, you know what I really like this very simple but very simple cleric swap effect. Now you may have noticed that I actually started to slowly add a little walkway here that I can get to via the stairs next to the doors or I can go into these deep slate towers. I can open the door here that prevents the villagers from getting up and then I can go to the top here. The deep slate towers aren't really going to be very functional, although I don't really want the villagers to use them much, but if the villagers want to get to this ladder, they certainly can, I think they will.
It's pretty cool and more immersive, it really only needs to be two blocks wide the entire way and in fact if I put some trapdoors in the jungle here for a nice railing I think it would look pretty cool as we install them on all the senses. In fact, I'm thinking that some Spruce logs could go around the corners, it will leave a little less room to walk, but at least give it a little more structural integrity. I'm going to take them down real quick and put a fir cloth on the outside cover the bottom with them too now the beauty of the towers comes right here where I can step back and look at what I've done and then I can go through the construction right here and we are at exactly the same level.
I'm debating whether or not I should keep it. It's very convenient though in the drop down menu, get more Spruce logs and remove it, remove it, remove it, remove it, remove a couple more over here, put some logs all the way in, one, 2, three and four. and pull, pull, pull, pull, jungle trapdoor here, jungle trapdoor there, everywhere a jungle trapdoor, these tiles are going to be a little difficult. I can put one right there at that level, but as far as the half layers go, I can only put it on. right here, which actually doesn't end up looking that bad, the only thing is that if you just want a higher rail, you just need to start like this now, if we're running around the corner like this, we don't have to feel like we're about of falling, it takes you here, right there and when it comes to stairs, we should probably do the same thing where we stack them, stack one, flip, stack two, flip and stack three, flip, stack four and flip. maybe one at the bottom to start, okay,This is great, now the city breathes life and all these buildings and the wall too and, of course, it is raining again.
What we're going to do now is put a bunch of campfires in each of the corners and I'm going to load them up with some Mangrove hatches on the sides just to give some color to the Pop, hit them on the top and between these and the spruce hatches Let's put some Birch buttons in place, it's really starting to come together, I just need a couple of these on the inside and I'm noticing that we have a blank space here where I need to place the farm, but let's take care of that. Right after we turn on these Paths, all the houses are now connected between these little paths that I would normally have in a normal Village that I set up, but now I just need to have the lanterns everywhere, all these guys are connected, but no lights between them all the roads, let's get the torches out here for temporary illumination and get some permanent illumination.
We have a deep slate tile wall, three oak fences, two spruce strap gates and then we'll go down and use a flashlight and that will create a lamp post, we'll use a lamp post to separate the paths here on the hill where It makes a bit of a mess and I think I'm going to put one here too now that we have a lot of those flashlights. In the city we can start putting out these torches, but first I really want to finish this farm right now, it's just wheat, but we can make this a multi-cropping system.
I'm going to separate each block with a spruce log and give it a little polish. and helper among all this, take out all the old oak blocks, take out all the old brush, I'm going to have it replaced, I'm going to throw some new dirt in the corner, start lifting All these spruce logs one runs back home to grab a bunch of these carrots. I'm just going to move this carrot. Farm. Actually, I don't need them in front of the house anymore. I decided to plant some trees in front of the door. or what the door will be would be a good idea because I thought maybe just adding a path through the trees would make it a little more immersive, plus this guy was running away and as soon as I had the carrots, everything followed me.
The drive here with all these light poles on all the street corners and paths with just a little bit of color and decoration, it's all starting to fall into place. I'm going to put some carrots in this first row, let's thin everything out. the earth and we will move all the water that is needed to the environment. I was thinking about making this half of a wheat farm, but we could move the wheat farm to the other corner of this village and continue making this giant carrot farm where there are no lanterns. I'm going to knock down some Acacia trapdoors.
Now in the other corner. I did exactly the same. We run along the trails and may find ourselves in a nice little wheat field. It's not as big as a carrot. Farm, but this will do the job. I think the Iron Golem is still taking out some of these little patches of dirt, but we'll deal with that. Now we just need a shepherd to take care of some animals. We have to have some livestock. This Town before I do it, I have one more building that I need to finish decorating. I needed to make more decorated vessels and to do so I had to go on a journey to find many more decorated clay vessels.
They are amazing, but take a lot of clay, place some flowering aelas right on top of them. I'm actually trying to figure out why I still have some scaffolding up here and I think it's because I didn't finish the roof and it should actually be on the other one. On the side there is one more camp, yes, it is right here, how could I have forgotten? A dark oak staircase is missing, and what do you know? There is a dark oak ladder in the double chest, let's climb this again, okay, the roof should be complete. I'm going to finish the ceilings in exchange with the bricklayer.
I'm going to get a bunch of quartz for all the flags on top, but that's for later. We have some defense for the cattle. We have a wide open space in this corner. so I thought it would be perfect, we already have some chickens and a cow here, we have a lot of oak fence gates and a lot of oak fences left over from these buildings, so I will also use them for the animal enclosure. I really love the combination of oak and deep slate. Close this right here and I think we have a, yes, we already have a trapped cow.
I have some wheat to get some cows out of my personal farm, but I don't really have that many cows left, yeah, as you can see here, there just aren't that many cows. I'm not really sure why, I don't really feel like I should take it from here. I'm just running out of cows, so. let's get a wild cow, there's a lot of wildlife, we might as well grab some sheep while we're here too, okay, single file, now, one at a time, man, everyone, come on, come on now, now we officially have an animal enclosure we can make more cows let's make more sheep now that the city seems much more welcoming and a little more livable it's much nicer to be here one thing I'd like to focus on next is and of course it is it's raining but the only thing I I would like to focus next is on the door area, it looks a bit simple and I would like the entrance to look as detailed as the center of the town, the stairs over here, everything looks good, I like it. so far so far, but the door looks simple and so do these deep slate towers.
I think I'm going to build them to be about three blocks higher than they currently are, so let's go up one, two, and three. God, why is there so much lightning? Why does it always rain? I don't know any other harsh world that rains so much. So far we've only used deep slate tiles, so I'm going to cover this top layer with some deep slate bricks underneath. We'll take this down and use some stairs to make it look like it has more structural integrity, then we'll step the top to give it a castle effect. Okay, that's a cool castle effect.
I like it, we just need to add that to the 12 towers on the side, but to light the corners I feel like just one chain, maybe two chains and a flashlight wait, I'm going to make one myself, let's use a cobblestone to make deep slate . wall over there okay, perfect, actually we'll just take out two blocks with some slabs on each side and a fir ladder in the middle, we'll break some windows here too, okay, I didn't mean to break the lantern, break it and where is it? Flashlight? Then we'll hang this back up, put in the glass panels for the window, a fern at the bottom and you know, put an aelia right on top and close this with some spruce hatches on that side and above. on this side we also made our last window here and a couple of additional blocks to grab from the ground.
These don't look too bad, except we actually missed some lighting here. I have some slabs, we'll throw one right here and one right here, do I have any nearby? I put up the fences and the lanterns and we lit this. This chicken doesn't necessarily belong, but I guess it can stay. The Iron Golems are starting to appear outside the village now, which is a bit strange, but I guess it is what it is, let's run up the stairs. I would like to enter one of these central towers. They are all decorated and illuminated from the inside.
Nothing should appear there and none of the villagers should be there. We can get up because of the fence gates, but if we crawl to the middle we have a nice lantern in the middle, the ACAA hatches are a nice little accent on the edges and all the towers should be lit with all the lanterns. except actually I see there are no acaia trapdoors here. I always forget something. I think this here should be the finishing touch to the towers and okay, now we look fortified. All I have to do is place a couple of these aelas. looks like I missed it, I think I missed something, yeah right here, I also put up the scaffolding real quick, we have a plant right there and a plant right there, it looks like I didn't even put any slabs here so I'm glad I did .
I came back, oh my god, why are all these okay? Everyone get out, everyone get out, you don't need them, you don't need to be here just for the cows and the sheep and the chickens, everyone get out in single file now. Come on guys, why are you there? I don't even know how they got to the towers. They really bring the village together, but what I'm thinking is that on the side I put some moss. I want to put in some birch hatches. In front of here we're going to place all of these and then we're going to put some aelas here on the wall just to make it look a little better.
There are a lot of trapdoors, but the moss looks great as a wall accent and Spinning trapdoors continuously is quite fun, but now, in the center of the village, we have reached a point where there is a pond that we can make here, but It's actually pretty easy, now we just have to tackle something I've never tackled before. Actually, before we lower this center tree, we need to make a first custom tree, but right now I'm going to put one here in the center, man, which is always a lot louder than he expected and we'll put one on top. here next to the animals, right here, I'm actually thinking that they are too close together.
Let's take this bell and run to the other side of town, across the pond, maybe closer to the farmers house we had originally made and set this up. guy right here that's weird, it was under the tree somehow, but I guess it is what it is, let's grab some of these oak leaves to help recreate the tree. I'm going to start right here, even if we only go up about seven or eight. I want to start making some branches so let's go out here a little bit and on this side we can move up but even one more a little bit higher bear with me guys I've never made a custom tree before I guess I'll start to spam some sheets.
I really hope this ends up looking good. I'm going to use some flowering Aelia leaves mixed in here too, we've got some coming together so far, it looks a little floral on that side, let's go down here. Get some random oak logs on each side with some slabs so that no villagers can start climbing. Get some slabs under the tree around here too. I have an oak fence there, but I want to get more oak fences. We start lowering the branches like this. Reminds me a little of a weeping willow. It's a beautiful thing when they start to flow from each other and I feel like I'm about to get really addicted to building custom trees.
There are a couple of things I would like. to enter the tree and the first thing I would like to enter was a large looking fruit and I thought some rough copper blocks looked cool. I'm even placing a couple of oak fence gates here to randomize things, the tree is looking much fuller. I just want to hang a couple of lanterns to give this tree some life in the ground. Sometimes the tree looks a little fuller when you add some moss blocks here. Okay, so I think I reinforced it enough up here. I'm just going to look at it from a side view and okay, we've done it.
I like this a lot. We have our first custom tree. I definitely feel like I'm going to get better at it. As time goes on I want to get better and that's why I'm going to continue doing it, but for now I feel like this isn't too bad for a first tree. We have a nice side view here at the bridge on the fortification wall and man, this looks nice and cozy. I love having this custom tree, but right here we could have a custom pond, but we don't have anything yet. Let's mix up some moss covered paver slabs. some normal cobblestone slabs get a little bit of dirt thrown at you and more slavery starts to mix in some of the mossy slabs in the water here just to give it a little more texture.
I'm also going to move some of these polished andesite blocks. Like some of this gravel, we need a lot more sea pickles for these ponds, so I'm going to get this bone meal going. Actually, we should be getting better, that was a lot. We already have some water fountain blocks. Around the edge. There are some sea pickles in there and that's not a source block, let's do it, let's make this place a little deeper. I think this will be a good temporary home for the aelott we found earlier. and wait, we have one and two more, let's put it right here, sir, and you right there, perfect, okay, now we can grind up the bones a little bit so these guys have a little bit of foliage too if you guys want to have these. aelott named after you on twitch chat be sure to stop by every time these little drip leaves on the outside look absolutely stunning and it's fun to add the big drip leaves from time to time but I like to add them at different heights , then we can add some. real flowers to give it a little extra color around the sides I almost forgot to add the spore flower to this tree for more ambiance and also the seaweed on the bottom here so we can get a little more ambian under Waternow that the axotals have some foliage to swim in.
Too perfect, this pond looks cute and cozy. It is missing a spring. However, I think it could be perfect here. Let's get a little out of this. A little bit of that. This really only needs to be about a block wide. I'm just going to do Some Spruce hatches come out like this and you know, this is less of a dock and more of a diving board, take that guy out and it's not so bad, we have a little room here to watch a lot of swimming, now this place is really coming together, let's take down the scaffolding.
There's one place I haven't really focused on and that's the front entrance on the back entrance that leads to the house, so if we run over here real quick I just want to add more. The middle details here maybe make a little bit of an arch, but you may need to use mine to get deeper slate or instead of using deep slate, we use these stone bricks that we've been using and I'm actually going to incorporate a a little bit of and helper here we're also going to bring them both in, we're going to put that ladder right there and 1 2 3 4 5 if we go down that's not too bad now we're just going to go up everything and For a block, this will add a little more depth.
We will do the same in the back. 1 2 3 4 and we will jump down. Okay, that looks much better. We got up here very quickly. I wanted to climb some stairs. to round the edges and see what it looks like, we'll jump down. I think this arc was actually a little easier than I thought it was going to be. It's not bad at all. This series is good. I've already been working. with a lot of types of architectural designs that I never really work with, put this guy in the corner and it's okay mate, I think we've got it done now we just need some walls and some oak fence gates to top it off, it's not too bad. not at all, let's put this here, maybe some lanterns could go here, actually, you know, sometimes simpler is better, let's keep all the oak fences outside and we'll just put a lantern there and a lantern, wait, wait and a lantern right here and Voila, something we could do is jump over here and hang a lantern on both sides right there and right there and just for the doors, I'm going to put a lantern right in the middle, down there, we'll put one right on top of it. of these cobblestone walls and if I jump down here, boom, now there's a couple of things to clean up.
I want to make a couple of places for these villagers to hang out, so I'm going to load up some campfires on the stairs on either side and cover them with some dark oak hatches, if you add a bunch of these around the town and You place a bunch of these wells around the path, it adds a good amount of texture. It looks a little dark here, although it looks like I forgot to put in a bunch of flashlights. which is not good at because creepers zombies skeletons anything like that could spawn it would be great if this place was completely mob proof we have a couple extra job blocks in town in case these guys run out of job blocks in the houses that have to Take out the random torches around town, add some random grinding stones near the entrance and also back here, this is an area where it's not necessarily somewhere villagers can go yet, but We could open it right now if you want.
Really, anywhere they can go once they leave, there's an island around here and I guess if they wanted to cross the water they could. We're just going to close it like this and now these guys can't leave it, just look it up outside of my peripheral. Okay, yeah, there are a bunch of birch hatches back here that weren't there. Place, let's all come back here, pick them up and okay, 1 2 3 4, we have a wall, it's crazy looking back in this hallway. I wanted even the negative spaces to have a little light. This area seems to have little light.
I'm going to place a couple more lanterns around the second pond. You can see it well. I'm going to start filling it with tropical fish. I come across the following on my list: I'd like to have a bouquet of flowers here and we also need to trade it for that quartz, so I think we could kill two birds with one stone by going to the Raid Farm to get a hero. From the town very quickly I decided to build a staircase right here to be able to easily enter and exit the bridge on the fortification wall on the side because before I could only enter through that door there and the door on the side. front side also I'm pretty sure I keep changing names between front and back, they can both be front and back, even though let's go to the raid farm and you know what while we're away. here we are going to the flower forest so we better take everything we can and bring it back to the village to decorate it and we have reached the edge of the flower forest.
I'll be picking up a lot of you are on the way back home, we just have a quick stop at the raid farm, let's go find a captain. I heard a lot of guys, we have a lot of them right here, but there is no Captain and when they finally find a captain. you can make the raid go to these evokers they are so fast they are so fast look at it quick see it looks like we only need one more oh never mind there it is I think that's it and we have the village hero okay, perfect.
I can go back and yeah as you can see it doesn't look very good down here but I think a YouTube stream or maybe a couple of Twitch streams should fix it okay I'm going to get every type of flower I can real quick , only we don't need a stack of all of them, but I'm going to take a lot more than I currently have. Rusty daisies over here, get more cornflowers over here too, every color is a tulip. You're coming with me, take all the big boys home too right now. I'm declaring it as a goal.
I would like to come back here. I want to turn this flower forest into the best flower forest anyone has ever seen. I took a lot of flowers from now on, but I'm going to come back and bring a lot more. Okay, and wandering around the side of the mountain, look at all these towers, they look so steep in this area, it seems like I forgot to get some zelas. and ferns up there, but okay, we have a lot to plant right now, let's jump out the door and if I can get through there, we'll be fine, let's take these tulips everywhere, let's bring some tulips here, let's bring some tulips here.
I'll jump around the pond and get some tulips this way, the little flowers are pretty, but I feel like these rose bushes, the paneling and the lilacs, these are the types that really bring out the most color because they're so tall they look. this Iron Golem just showed up here and is trapped for eternity, sorry buddy but no I don't think he can get you out, looks like I forgot a lot of the plants in the cleric trading hall, let's jump in here for real. F I literally think every pot doesn't have a plant in it, how did I manage to make it so that even the ones inside don't have plants in it?
What did I do? Aha, there we go, I see some ferns that, oh and I fell trying to run here because I also need to get all these birch doors in the tower, throw the fern up there, we can jump here, we have a fern right here and I think in the other side where you are in Fern, oh man. it fell down again, well I'm glad I fell because I noticed that I didn't put any ferns here and there are no more birch doors here or here, so many little details that I'm also missing the glass panes of all these windows.
I don't know how I let that happen, but let's get 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and 8 yeah, these look a lot better now, let's run back inside. I have a small stock of clay that we can use to sell now I only have To find the stone mason in all these parts, there are a couple of stone cutters in the whole city, maybe he is only here but not at home, so maybe time, wait, he's here, wait, buddy, let's sell you some clay. Thank you so much. I would like to buy these quartz blocks and I will turn them into slabs real quick so I can make some flags.
Looks like these trap doors are getting this guy stuck. I'm going to take these out right now so you can at least you can resume your business and you're getting stuck on this now you really want me to take them down and now we can go up to one of our roofs let's start from here let's go up here with the scaffolding and now we just need to to get these Up on the Roof, let's jump, okay, perfect, let's place the flag here now we just need to repeat these flags on each roof and if I can stop falling and go here and boom, okay, we have a flag, right ?
It looks like the sun is rising over the ice peaks, let's put the last part of the flag right there, okay, I think it might be the last one, if I see other flags that need to be raised, I'll definitely put them there, but for now let's put some up random decorations here around the town this little combination of scaffold barrel and crowbar is just a small place where the villagers can drink from now walking around this place I want to make sure I don't miss any details like the previous one here some acacia saplings are missing, let's go back Running home past Paul and Pablo, what's up guys, how are you?
I didn't even say what's wrong with them during the whole episode we'll run back with the acacia saplings and actually you know what we have now. This village made it possible for us to truly free these first librarians. It looks like we've actually caught a couple of these villagers. You know what, let's let them go and let them choose if they want to go to the house, they can go. to the house, if you want to return to your town, you can certainly return. This guy is getting very up close and personal. It seems like most of them are just wandering straight towards the house.
However, we have to keep this sucker safe for now. idiot sanctuary and now we finally have a somewhat clean path leading from the house to this giant village. We're past the minuscule population of cows we have, we definitely need a lot more, but now. we have the front doors that we can open and explore if we walk straight, we will go right under the custom tree and this is kind of the center of the city. I love that we have a house with multiple work blocks here so I feel like a lot of villagers run in and out of this one and across the street we have the little fisherman's house up the hill, we have the little Stone Mason house and across the street from the Stone Mason we have another identical house and in the background where this farm is, we have another identical house, but they are all slightly different with the interior decoration and I need to go all over the city here next to the watering holes.
I have a couple of acacia saplings that are missing, let's put the chains here and the pots, boom and boom, and then we can get the Acasia saplings here, even the negative space has a bouquet of flowers and lots of color now with a little of extra time. With our hands we can take some of these decorated pots, throw a pot at them and put some saplings on top if you enter this path and by the way this path will lead through these cherry trees to another building eventually, but if this is the entrance we go to use, the first thing you'll see is this little cleric trading hall, turn right to see the buildings we just walked through or you can turn left to see this pond over here, we can go see.
On the other pond we have the carrot farm behind all these wells and we also have the original farmer's house that had created here, this is exactly where the village started. Although I think what I like most about this town is the fact. that we can jump from any of these towers, open the door, go through this door and walk through the second door and waa, we are on the bridge which gives us a much better view of the city, it's cool because we can jump from there. and now we can climb this tree and get a giant view of the city.
It's also cool that we can patrol this bridge like we're the guardians of this village, maybe some plants along this wall would be cool now that I'm walking around and I'm going to be patrolling here, you know, maybe it would be cool to see something nice. Anyway, Acacia saplings never hurt anyone, but guys, thank you so much for watching this episode. I really appreciate it. I know these episodes. They're a lot longer than they used to be, but I think I'll keep it in this direction. I'm really enjoying making these very long videos, they're usually over an hour long, but I mean, I'm just really enjoying it and I really hope you guys are too and again thank you to all the Twitch subscribers, Patreon followers and YouTube members .
There will be many streams coming up, so stay tuned for all notifications. Be on Discord and also keep an eye out for a bunch of custom trees. They're definitely on the way, but that's it. Thank you all so much for watching. I really appreciate them. Remember to take care of yourselves and do something good. Someone and see you next time, bye.
