Honda Grom after three

years

of ownership. Alright guys this is a video I've been wanting to make for a while and now I'm getting a lot of questions and comments about my Grom and people asking Hi Anthony, where did you get this part from? Where did you get that part from? How much did this cost? Would you do this again? I direct you to all the videos I have made over the last three

years

. I thought I'd give you a concentrated dose of my Honda Grom and all the modifications I've made.

This is my 2015 Grom that I bought three years ago.

More Interesting Facts About,

this is everything i ve done to my honda grom 3 years of mods...

I bought it for two thousand dollars and I had a previous owner who took a little spill trying to do a wheelie now that I bought the bike he was on. Pretty good shape, but I knew I was going to make my own modifications and add my own Anthony touches to it all day long to make it my bike. Now I've had a lot of fun with this bike and I've put some time and money into it, but overall it's been one of the most fun vehicles I've ever owned. Literally the experiences and time I have spent on this bike are incredible, now very fast.

I want to say that this is not my three year review. on the bike I know a lot of people have seen my one year review and thought it was really helpful and cool. I really want to give you a full review, but this will focus only on the modifications I've made. So we're going to start with a more methodical organized order, starting with the top of the bike and then moving towards the back, so the first thing we see when we talk about us is the handlebars, so these are the first thing we see. everyone you see in my POV riding videos are Pro Taper Honda mini bars in the seven-eighths diameter.
this is everything i ve done to my honda grom 3 years of mods
They are now a direct fit for the Honda Grom, meaning they are a direct swap and use the existing clamps you have in stock. Now it doesn't take much modification to make them really fit, all you have to do is drill a small hole to place these clam shells here or you can shave the nipple of the clam shells and then clip it on. To make a good fit now, these 7/8 mini bars are one of my favorite modifications, but it is not a necessary modification. This is a mod that really transformed the way the bike feels in the writer's writing position, which means I'm a little more.
I crouched down in the front here, which gives a slightly more aggressive typing position, but what it does is just lower the bars overall. If you know the OEM bars, they're up here like monkey bars, but moving the bars down here makes the bike feel a little more in tune with the road now to make these fit, just take the old ones off and put the new ones on, you'll have to lower some of this wiring down here and push it down into the headlight assembly to get

everything

right. fits correctly but this is a 30 minute job it really makes a big difference in the writing position of the bike now for people who aren't fans of this Pro Taper sign right here you can cut that thing off or just take it off so it just have a straight flat bar on top but overall these are a super popular mod for the Honda Grom and a lot of people jump on them mainly because they are pretty affordable.
I think they cost around $70. on Amazon and again I'll make sure to include all the links in the description of each mod that I have on this bike so you can find it all in this video so those are the pro mini taper bars. The next step is the hood. bar and mirrors I get a lot of questions from people asking me where I got them from and how much they cost and to be honest guys these are one of the cheapest

mods

I have on the bike, it's about ten bucks on Amazon Prime and they are Great, they really are great mirrors, the only tradeoff is that you have to have a different set of bars for them to work.
These are bars and mirrors which means they slide into the actual bars now if you have these stock Honda Grom bars. you have this little metal bracket in there and it's like a plug you can't actually put this in without drilling it and it's a real pain in the ass, it's a lot less painful and a lot cheaper. just to use some aftermarket bars and then slide them right in and they have a couple of different adapters here just slide them onto your new Pro Taper bars grab a little Allen wrench or hex wrench tighten those things up and that's it you can Adjust them as needed and for reference, although this is my second set in about three years, my first set broke the solder on the back here, so be careful with them, but other than that, they are cheap, I have another I play around there just in For example, they break, but overall I love these mirrors, they have a lot of visibility.
I think they look good on the bike and look great with the pro taper bars. Oh my gosh, the sun is hot, but we're making it, so next one here. We'll move it over to the headlight assembly, so the first thing we'll see here is my different colored boomerangs, which is just a different option. I wanted to go with the bicycle. It had a white and red boomerang when I bought it and I thought. Hell, I wanted to match it so I made it red on both sides and I think it fits the bike pretty well.
Now we're not necessarily talking about the OEM parts, we're going to talk about the aftermarket parts, so these right here are TST. flush mount turn signals these are LED turn signals that have a flasher relay inside this headlight assembly right here to control how much they flash. These are a fairly affordable option. I want to say about $40 or $50 I can't remember. Above my head, but these form the front of the bike. If you have these original flashing lights, you will notice how long they are and look like Shrek's antennas. They look much better. They are a flush mount.
They fit directly into this. boomerang itself and these can be purchased for both the SF Grom and the og Grom and I guess I should mention that most of the things I'm talking about in this Grom will be direct changes to the lighthouse from the SF list. Here other than that most things can be swapped directly between both Honda Grom models now they are as good as these flush mount turn signals they don't look as good as the TDM om headlight so this It is a real option. from Honda for the TDM market, this is a projector style headlight which I have a full video of if you haven't seen it yet, but this is something that really gives the Grom that really cool cyclops look, now what you have is a pair . little purple accents that are kind of blue, a little bit purple, but it's a fully lit projector bulb, which means you have a more concentrated beam of light and one of my favorite things about this is the fact that it has a little from Brack there, so when you're writing on the floor and someone comes towards you, you see that cool little flicker that looks like an HID light bouncing between purple and white, you know what I'm talking about?
You get the same look with this headlight and I really like how it looks you still have your high beam and your low beam just one of my favorite

mods

has to be this one here just because it really transforms the front of the bike and looks really , really. Great, you can get it at Go Grom for about $80 with $10-$15 shipping, but it's worth it. It looks much better than the OEM headlight. Next up here is another option from OM, which is my Honda Grom SF front end. fenders, so this front fender is actually from the SF model of the Honda Grom and the same Himalayan white pearl.
Now I chose to use this one because my original fender was a little worn from the previous owner's accident, so I decided to replace it with this one. Now this costs about 40 to 45 dollars through my local Honda dealership and that's where I purchased it personally. I think you can find them online for around $55-$60 with free shipping, but I decided to go with this one because it has a higher price. Aggressive look with these kind of small ventilated areas here. It has a slightly stiffer look compared to the stock front fender and fits the bike quite well.
It's a direct color match and it's a direct swap. there is no modification needed, literally plug and play, change the bolts and you're

done

, so let's leave the talk about tires and engine work for a moment because I want to talk about what I did on the side panel. Now if you watched my previous video then you know everything I did, but if you haven't, here's what I ended up doing to get this really cool vented look. Now I took the OEM side plate and bought a dummy cover for that side plate which is this cover here.
I end up making a small template on the back of the real OM board, cutting it out with a dremel, and then gluing this fake cover on with 3m tape. Now what it did was give I have a vent that works but also shows my driveway really cool. I ended up doing this on both sides of the Grom and I think it totally makes it look and gives it a more aggressive look for what it is but this side isn't as functional it could cool my knees on a hot ride but here it's really cool because it gives direct air to that intake when idling and I really like that concept now, the OEM side panels I bought when I bought this.
The front fender here and those side panels were about 10 bucks for the pair, five bucks each and then these fake vents ended up costing about 20 something bucks which I got from a site I'll try to remember below and give Also do you have the link for those now you'll also see I have my really sweet Anthony decal all day here and my dinger built decal that really complements the gold Forks and I think it looks really cool now right on the other side of this side cover is. I wouldn't really call this a mod, but it was part of another mod which was removing my airbox, so normally you'd have a big thick airbox here that's no longer there because of my new input, so Because removing the airbox makes them a little less rigid, so what you end up doing is buying a little peg here that fits between these two side covers to make them more rigid and keep them together, but as a plus side I guess You also get a weight reduction, which is also great and you eliminate all that clutter from the top.
They're not really a mod because it's in conjunction with another mod but it's a cool thing I thought I'd mention now moving to the back of the bike here we have this thing here everyone wants to know what the hell this is where can they get it what is it and what does it do like this which if you guys are new to the Grom world, this is called a secondary cage subframe. I don't I don't know there are a lot of different names, a lot of people call them wheel bars if you want to call them that, in my opinion, which is just a protective piece for the back of the bike, now some people stand on these pegs. and I do all kinds of crazy cool things.
I'm not that coordinated. I weigh about 220 pounds at 6 1 so it will be a little uncomfortable for me to stand on this but I bought it to protect my bike. In short, when I was learning to wheelie the bicycle. I had a very close loop situation where I basically picked up the bike and started running like, well, I was running behind it and ended up scraping my taillight and my actual license. plaque here after that happened I said screw it. I'm just going to buy something to protect the back because I don't want that to happen again and it could be a very costly mistake or it could have been much worse after doing a lot of research.
I found out that these things are pretty expensive, these things aren't really cheap, but I came across a guy named Bruce on Facebook who makes these cages for the most profitable people. Now I have this thing in mind here. I want to say that approximately one hundred and sixty dollars were sent. I think that's why they are currently selling them in a variety of different styles and colors. Now this particular one had a built in license plate holder, so a lot of people correctly remove the fender. where you're removing that whale tail and replacing it with a little fender delete so you can show off that license plate and make the rear end look a lot cooler now that this thing had one built in. broke so I had to make do with what I had so what I ended up doing wasriding this bad boy to protect my butt in case I looped the bike and fell on its side, but then I just grabbed some zip ties and zipped them up because my license plate brackets ended up breaking.
Now it may work with what I have, but Bruce does some really cool things and he does some with some integrated LED turn signals and everything that you can definitely see his work. I'll try to put his link to his Facebook in the description because I don't think he has a website or anything right now for turn signals because a lot of people are wondering what they are. those turn signals, how did you get them to work? I'm going to try to give you a good idea of these turn signals down here, but what they are are universal turn signals, nothing special, nothing.special and they didn't come with my STS web bar.
These are something I bought on eBay or Amazon, I think for about five dollars with free shipping and I did connect them to the existing turn signals and I ended up using the old turn signal. my brackets I think it was a moto dynamic fender eliminator I think that's the name or moto demux something like that ends up using those brackets to mount them. I'm sure you could probably find something or create something very similar if you wanted to replicate this setup, but they are great because you can still see them, they are super bright and although this bar can be seen in the path of the actual brake light when you come back from the distance, you can still see that brake. turns on perfectly in order very well what I like about the bar is that it just adds protection if the bike followed me if I turned it again this is what I would land on it's not going to break anything else and this thing is rock solid because it mounts on the actual frame under the seat, includes the bolts and fasteners, so if you want something like this, contact Bruce.
I'm sure they'll come to a deal if they say Anthony shipped all day. He does a good job, it's not a work of art by any means but it gets the job done and it's affordable and it's much more affordable than many of the other subframes out there on the crop market so now it's time to talk about the elephant in the room: my öhlins rear suspension is real, yes it is real. I spent $500 on it at all, no no I didn't spend $500 on this, so in fact this is probably one of the most expensive bike mods. that a lot of people look at and say Anthony, why the hell did you buy an Olin suspension for a Honda Grom let alone buy something so expensive and cheap and buy it cheaper from many other places?
Here is my answer for you, I have this used. I bought it locally from a guy who had a Honda Grom and ended up buying it from him for $200, so I got a great deal on this Olan suspension. It was a deal I couldn't pass up, so that's why I got Guys, it wasn't something I was looking for and I thought I was going to spend $500 on a suspension of my own that wasn't what it was. I saw a good deal, took the plunge and it really complements the bike now. people are wondering if it made any difference, yes absolutely, it really stiffened the rear end, it really helps with a heavier rider like me, the stock shock definitely bottomed out for me from time to time and this was just a huge improvement overall and It has some adjustability with the actual coil here and with the damping here on top, a really awesome mod that isn't necessary at all.
I think there are plenty of other affordable options, but I think Owens really looks amazing when people see him. You're like shit, it's that real when I say that unfortunately yeah, I didn't spend $500 on it, I just want to tell people that I didn't immediately spend five hundred dollars on it, an amazing piece here is not necessary, it's just something that I have it on the bike and I really like it a lot and if I had another Grom on the road or if something happened to this, that thing will come with me no matter what, now two more things to talk about before we jump into the engine. work, let's start with my latest addition, which is my TST industry frame sliders, so I literally put these on last night and I couldn't be happy with them.
These things look amazing. These are these big fleshy bars that you see. Protect my Grom in case the bike ever falls or falls. Now these things here are far beyond my expectations of what I thought they were going to be. These things are pretty meaty. I ended up buying them on a trade deal. with a friend for my old Cena I traded it in for these and thought it was a deal that worked for both of us now what they are are just frame sliders, the bike if it fell on its side hopefully they'll land on this sooner. hit the plastic or before hitting any part of the engine or anything important like that Now, what's different between these and other brackets is the fact that there are actually two pins on both sides, so you have the main pin of the engine right here passing by there.
You also have an extra pin that goes through this back over the top of these little vents here. This thing was super tough. It took me about 30 minutes to install and it was worth it. The hardest part was removing this bolt. here, which I had to use an impact driver to get out now, this right here I think is about $140 through TST. I'll try to put the link in the description again like everything else I'm going to do, but they are great. If you plan on crashing your Grom or tracking your Grom or if you are trying to do wheelies and are afraid of crashing it, these are probably some of the best ones out there and much better than the cheap ones. that you see that mount right here and it sticks out so far, it got smashed, but if I do, I feel a lot safer having this stuff here, so I'm running out of breath, I'm trying to get over all this wind noise with this heat so if I'm talking fast and jabbering sorry that's what I do so next up here are my two brothers footpegs, they don't sound very good but they look good and they work. just the way I needed it, the reason I ended up changing them is because I was learning how to do standing wheelies on these stock pegs and it literally broke in the middle of one.
I totally sprained my ankle and almost broke my Girl Home and after that I was like, "Eff, instead of buying cheap parts or own replacements. I'm going to buy something stronger, so these two sister pegs here are different, they are "more like a motorcycle peg that has the real grip here." on top and they're pretty low profile, so if you're still leaning or turning, they still have the ability to slide up that way, but they're also very low profile underneath, they're much sturdier, much flatter and more comfortable for longer rides. so if you're not comfortable with your current pegs definitely check these out.
I mean they're about $80 or so through a couple different websites and I really like them a lot. They are black. They are made of anodized aluminum. With the ones that match. the rest of everything else here but I actually bought them because they were a better option than the OEM or a cheap replacement, these things looked like they were going to be the strongest so I got that side there and then this side. here again with my TST engine slider, okay, I said two more things, sorry, I meant there's one more thing, wait technically, it's two, but one more thing, the tires.
I even said I was going to talk about the tires, so these are pure Michelin power tires. They are one of the most popular and yet best performing tires as an aftermarket solution for the Honda Grom. Now if you have an OG Grom you know how bad the original tires are. Those are literally the worst tires and they are dangerous. They are really incomplete tires. I recommend removing them as soon as possible now. If you have a SF Grom, right? You got an upgraded tire. Those tires on the SF

grom

s are better than the originals. Now the tradeoff between those. two, if you didn't know this, the entire og Grom came with n key wheels, so the N key wheels are technically a stronger wheel than the ones the SF Grom had, this is my thinking behind it all, but when it was released the og They put a stronger wheel in there and made the tires cheaper.
Honda probably found that to be quite dangerous, so what they ended up doing was white labeling or outsourcing a different tire with their brand type and then ending up branding their brand. own wheels now that being said I think the SF

grom

s from what I've read are weaker than the N key wheels so a very common thing is for SF owners to find a set of Enki wheels from an OG Honda Grom and then either use the SF tires or buy an aftermarket tire like the power pure. I love these tires. These tires have been totally amazing.
I ended up buying them from a friend along with the Anki wheelset and they have been fantastic so on the rear I'm running I think it's a 140 140 yeah 140 70 on the rear and then on the front I'm running I think it's a 120 70 on the front here so a lot of people will run the 130 in the rear It can fit in the 140. I think it skews the speedo slightly but it gives it a fatter look in the rear and it feels great. I really like it. I haven't made them super aleni. I have a couple of chicken strips.
Don't judge me on that here, but so far I'd say I have about a thousand miles on these tires and they still look new and still hold up fantastic. I would buy them again, but if looking to save some money and don't want to use a brain as big as Michelin, you can use like Kenda's. I think Ken makes some pretty good tires or if you want to go for a more knobby look you can go with the He also maxes out the tires and those are great, very good tires. I really like them. I would definitely make them again and I think you can get the power piercing for about a hundred and ten dollars for the set, about $55. a tire so someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but these are not the cheapest, but they are very good performance and long lasting tires that I think a lot of people really like.
Well, finally, the engine works, it's time to talk about everything. the things that I've done to the engine or well I guess the few things that I've done to the engine let's start with the most obvious thing in front of us, which is these zoom beer exhausts. I have some videos on this. tube which includes a setup as well as a high definition sound clip and you can check them out if you want to hear what this exhaust sounds like in really good high quality HD audio this GoPro just won't do it justice now this tube is fantastic it's really well, it's a really good pipe.
I think a lot of people think that the zoom is a cheaper brand and it's actually not as high quality. I've seen a few cases where the zoom tubes have broken, I don't know. how they were setting them up or how they were taking care of them, but I can tell you that both of my zoom tubes have held up very well over the years. I had a loop before this and then the gross has been the newest one and I love it. I think it's a great pipe and it sounds absolutely amazing. All the welds and brackets have held up without anything breaking so far, so that's been great.
I've had about I wouldn't say about 1200 miles on this pipe. More or less no problems and still looks amazing, this tube costs around two hundred and sixty-five dollars through Amazon. I think it's even on Amazon Prime, so if anyone is in a pinch and looking for an affordable escape that looks good and sounds good, I recommend it. The only downside to this line is actually going to be the oil drain plug, so that thing is here, as you can see, which sits right on top of the pan, which makes oil changes a pain in the ass.
I usually just approach it with an open spigot. -A socket wrench or ratchet wrench where I can remove that bolt, put some aluminum foil over the pipe and then drain it and it works fine. It works well. I don't actually have to remove the pipe. That's the only downside to the zoom, but other than that I think it's a very attractive tube and it sounds absolutely spectacular performance wise, you won't see a lot of performance and the zoom loop you will see a little bit. more on that top end because of the back pressure it creates to create a little more power there with the zoom, it's more of a linear power, so you get a little hit in the power band, nothing crazy, but ultimately, It's really just the sound and I really like the way it sounds now, next up will be the input built by Dinger, now you can see that beautiful little filter sticking out over there, it's going to be a little difficult to show the rest of the input, but we are doing the best we can with what we have here, if you haven't seen my previous installation video in this post go and check it out, you will be able to see the whole process and what the actual pipe looks like, but for now you can see my little K&N filter so this intake is amazing not only does it sound great but it was one of the best performing intakes from my research I did on all the

honda

grom forums and from reviewing countless pages ofdyno results, this really worked. it whipped the ass a lot, it beat the entry of the chimera and as far as price goes i think it's about 20-30 bucks more than the chimera and i would totally buy it again, the sound is amazing, it sounds incredibly good on throttle completely open. here in that it's almost like a really deep growl coming from the front and having it vented there increases the sound tenfold.
This thing is incredibly strong. I would almost say it's almost louder than the actual raw exhaust, so the intake is fantastic. and if you pick up the intake you will also need a pickup with a little pin that I told you about before to hold these two side panels together because once you remove the original air box you don't have that structural support there so you need that pin to work, otherwise these little things will be flapping in the wind. Now flipping the bike like I said, still working top down technically, this would be a top engine component, which would be the new ECU I used.
I have it on the bike, so it's under the seat. I don't need this side panel here, it's nothing you can see, but if you watch my previous video with the dinger input built in, you'll see it's all being installed, so what it is is an ECU updated by Cameron Jones Racing, so it's the CJR melody very similar to the motorization melody. If you decide to use an ECU update, I think it's called a stage one ECU update, which makes up for it. an intake and an exhaust now this ECU upgrade hands down one of my favorite mods for sure I love this mod and it woke up the bike it's serious no I'm not kidding when I say that intake combination and the exhaust with that melody.
I can't believe this is a 125, still, seriously guys, I didn't know this existed and if I had known this update existed before, I would have jumped on it. and I think they're getting better or the more time they spend tuning and tuning the bikes with these ECU flashes, they're getting better and better at the job, so I learned it from Cameron Jones Racing and it's amazing, you can't. See it, you can't see it like I said, it's hidden behind here, but what it was was a direct swap ECU, so you basically have two different options, you can choose to upgrade your ECU and send it to them and give them the same thing.
We'll get you back for a hundred bucks if you choose to go that route or you can buy a new ECU with a flash for about 200 bucks or so and that's the route I decided to take because I wanted to have a backup ECU. Just in case I ever needed to return the bike to its original state but again you can't see it, sorry guys but it's one of those things you can feel and it really is amazing. You can go back and watch the previous video if you really want to. I want to see my reaction to the new ECU, so moving further away from the ECU we have my 14, something you can't see, but it turns out I now have a full video on the 14, that was something that really woke up the bike. also because of the increase in acceleration now when you change the sprockets you can usually get faster acceleration, higher top speed, lower top speed, yada, yada, yada, for my city ride and what I do most, I decided . at 14 to 3 and less time in the canyons and writing crazy things, but in the city this is a fun sprocket, which means it will make wheelies easier, you will accelerate faster and it really is one of those things where you jump about the Grom.
You give him gas and people look at you like shit, like what is he doing and how is he moving so fast from the beginning and I think it's because of the 14 to that. I really think it's amazing. I chose to go to JT. racing one and I mean the JT front sprocket was, I mean ten bucks, super cheap, really affordable and it's really easy to make. You take this out, you loosen the chain, you can remove the chain, do it all at once. If you want to do it all in one, but you just slide it in, screw it back on and voila, you have increased cell power and some increased power at the bottom end, however it will ruin your speedo. just a little bit if you're okay with that, if not you can pick up a speedster healer to make up for that too.
Well, two more things. I think we're done. I don't think so. I'm not one hundred percent sure. about two more things so next up will be my new chain that I have there so I have a rented chain without a ring so it's not a chain with an O ring it's a chain and it's the rented gold chain. I don't remember the exact model number or what it's called exactly. I just know it's called rental gold chain, so this was a super, super easy direct swap. You have to remove only a couple of links to make it fit.
I want Let's say it was about a hundred and one hundred something links. I also have a full video on this along with installing sprocket. I made it all in one, so you'll have to watch that video to know exactly what I did, but it's very easy. The direct plug-and-play basically comes with a new clip so you can put it in there and I think it looks better and is much better than that original chain. My previous original chain that I had on there wasn't taking care of the best and it got a little rusty and really piled up a lot of these little kinks and things like that started happening inside that chain once I switched to the new gold rental chain, It really fixed all that and made the bike feel better. and ride much smoother now along with the chain.
I chose to use OTB chain adjusters so that's what they are here at the end, so technically they are also sliders for the rear of the bike, but the OTB chain adjusters are the correct ones. here, which is another one of my favorite mods, if you have a Honda Grom and you've tried adjusting the chain or adjusting the alignment on the rear wheel, you'll know how painful it is, it's a fucking Nightmare, this makes it so easy, so easy, if you are frustrated and hate doing it don't even think about it with OTB chain adjusters your life will improve you will be much happier with that setup and so these adjust with an Allen here so basically you still have to loosen this main bolt here and then take your Allen wrench and adjust it as needed to tighten or loosen the chain and you can also adjust the wheel alignment that way.
Mine also comes with the slider kit and I mean that setup is around $120 130 don't quote me. I'll put the links back below, sorry guys I didn't look up all the prices. I'm kind. of this stadium everything but that was another awesome mod and it also adds some protection to the back of the bike which I really really liked so out of all the mods I have if you said Anthony If you could only pick five mods and only five modifications for a Honda Grom right out of the box, what would you choose and why would you choose it?
So here are my top 5 mods, this is my recommendation. You have a new one. Grom or a used Grom or whatever you have, this is what I would do, number one fender eliminator, get rid of the whale tail that comes on an original rom, if you have it there, get rid of it, that thing It's absolutely horrible, it's not good. get rid of it, go for some kind of fender eliminator, you can make something cheap, you could even make your own, whatever it is, get rid of that thing mine comes in the form of a sub cage, but do whatever you want. getting rid of that whale tail, that would be my number one modification.
I would do number two and the escape. It doesn't have to be a fancy escape. It doesn't have to be an expensive exhaust, but an exhaust makes all the difference when it comes down to it. Riding a motorcycle isn't just for the Honda Grom, it's any motorcycle and overall it adds that very visceral experience - we can hear things and feel all the vibrations and an exhaust is amazing, it will make typing the Grom a lot more fun. and so much more fun again, it doesn't have to be anything super expensive or super fancy. Zoom escapes are great for getting into an entry level escape.
There are some cheaper ones too, do what you want, just get an exhaust if you want to do it once and do it right, buy something good if you just want it for the sound and what I recommend, go for something cheap and affordable just to get your feet wet and see if you like the sound, except for an exhaust. would be my number two number three in an area that you can't see the 14 2002 the bottom end if you're looking for acceleration that's what you need if you're really concerned about the top n stick with the 15 tooth if I choose to do so.
I personally love Beaumont's 14 2004. I really like it. It makes a big difference. That's my number 3. Number 4. Get yourself some rims so the rims make a difference when it comes to writing a Honda Grom especially if you have an OG if you still have those original tires take those off they are not safe they are super dangerous , get some nicer tires, they don't have to be super expensive like these power springs here, but get something that has good reviews that you know you're going to have grip when you turn a corner, having confidence in your bike makes all the difference in the world and believe me, nicer tires will make you feel more confident and the bike will handle better, so it is quite affordable, so get a set. of tires for about a hundred dollars or so and mountain Mountain, take them to a shop yourself, do whatever you want, put on some different tires and you'll notice a big difference on bike number five.
My last recommended mod would be to get Your ECU seriously respawned guys after my last video. I saw the light. I took the dirt out of the mountains and the curves. It's working much better. I'm about four hundred miles into the EC update and it's killing it. I would do it. that over and over again, regardless if I had an intake, if you have an exhaust, an ECU upgrade would still help a lot, you can even do it the cheapest way possible, you can do the airbox modification and pick up an exhaust and upgrade again and I guarantee you will see an improvement in performance, that makes a big difference and if you are already running intake and exhaust and you don't have that EC upgrade you should definitely do it because your bike is probably running smoothly and you need more. fuel, so EC upgrades back a hundred dollars to send it two hundred dollars to buy a new one, so let's do some basic math and just round the numbers.
Fender eliminator, could be free: 50 - 100 dollars, let's say right in the middle at 50 dollars, let's just say truck, I'm an exhaust for 250, you're at 300 dollars, 14 to launch at 10 dollars, 310 dollars, one set of new tires, another hundred dollars, 410 and then an EC upgrade, another hundred dollars, say, 500. Dollars 510 dollars approximate, whether buying new or used, that should be approximately what you would like to spend to have better performance, Better handling and more fun. So anyway guys that's my recommendation for my top 5, okay guys so I'm pretty. I'm sure that's all. I may have missed a thing or two, but I'm pretty sure it's all the meat and bones of my Honda Grom.
I mean, I've had this for three years, so I tend to forget a lot of the mods. Over time, three years is a long time, it's longer than most people's marriages last, but we're not going to get into that in general. I love this bike. I love everything I've done to it. I really think it looks a lot cooler and runs and handles a lot better than what I had now if you want to go back and watch the first videos of my Honda Grom and the excitement I felt feel free to do so like I said this bike has traveled A long way from its original version and I've really fallen in love with it over the years, as far as future mods go I have a few things in mind.
I would love to use some stainless steel brake lines on both the front and rear to help. with the braking power of the bike because I've heard it makes a big difference and I want to experience it for myself, but other than that I'm very happy with how the bike handles and how the engine runs. People have asked me and Say, Hi Anthony, are you ever going to use a big kit? Are you ever going to look for more power in the Grom? And to be honest, I never want to say never, but not now. I really have no intentions of adding more power to the Grom. especially after doing the new Cameron Jones race ECU upgrade along with the integrated intake which has met my power needs at the moment, who knows, although I never want to say never, I just think getting into a big bore is look for more power and type. to pursue something the Grom was never intended to be.
I already have a big bike that's 1,050 CCS and has all the power I could want, so the Grom is like my happy place when I sigh to get away from the power and I really enjoy riding the bike. I love my Grom. This is not a three-year review. You should look forward to it in the future because it will give you everything you need to know that I have learned over the years.three. years and my experiences with the bike this was just to go over all the mods now again guys I put all the links to literally everything I could think of that I did to this bike in the description so if you want to continue any of these mods or even want to replicate my setup, do it.
I did a lot of research on a lot of things I've done and I hope you found this video helpful. If you like this video, be sure to share it. I really appreciate it, subscribe below for more information and I'll see you in the next one. This is all. Anthony woke up, so I pushed non-stop. I will be stressed looking at monkey hands 24 hours a day with wide eyes. trying to take the panoramic photo. Oh world, getting ready for me, answers are lost, so I watch my back and keep it moving forward.
