He had been a Green Beret Army combat veteran who served in the Vietnam War, a real tough guy now this cousin was pretty screwed, you know, first of all, they don't give veterans much when it comes to their mental well-being. additional. -being this guy obviously Miguel was just awake is really all I can say Richard would go to his house and just hang out with him now it was like cool cousin Miguel was telling Richard about the horrible things he experienced while he was at war and also He told Richard about the horrible and violent rapes he committed while he was stationed in Vietnam.

He even had pictures of this is the cousin. He even had photos of him posing with the severed head of a woman he had raped and killed. he's like showing all this to Richard and Richard is like, wow, that's cool because he's a kid, um, he doesn't know, he doesn't know that this is really horrible or he does, but at the time Richard was 10, so I just thought that Miguel was a great older cousin, I don't know what I thought. Now Miguel would end up being arrested and taken to prison, but he was found not guilty by reason of insanity and would spend four years incarcerated at the state mental hospital for a time after the shooting. Richard decided to live with his sister and her husband. He really didn't want to come home because it wasn't a good place to be. she ends up moving in with her sister and her husband now her husband this is just a big family disaster her sister's husband wasn't like that his name was Roberto and Roberto from here was a voyeur so Roberto would take Richard with him at

As a teenager, Richard began associating his sexual fantasies with violence when he was still in school. He also worked part time at a Holiday Inn, which is a hotel. Holiday Inn is everywhere, it doesn't matter, it was a hotel, so it's partly working. time in a hotel and going to school now Richard was using this job to his advantage Richard Wood uses a ski to get into the hotel rooms and robs the guests while they were away, so one

when he was working at the hotel , Richard broke in or just used his master key to enter a guest hotel room, now it was a couple, a husband was somewhere he had left and there was only the wife there alone, so Richard entered the room and tried rape this woman, the husband finished.

Entering the room and catching Richard attacking his wife, she tackled him and tried to pull him away and the police were called, but the charges ended up being dropped when the couple refused to testify and tried to find out why they refused. to testify, but they were from out of state, they were visiting and they didn't want to travel to testify against him because of this, Richard ended up losing his job at the hotel like he should, so Richard ends up dropping out of high school. He goes to school in 9th grade and honestly it's not clear what he did from 9th grade until he was 22, not much is really said about what he was doing so I don't know.

I don't really know, but at the age of 22 was when Richard decided he was going to move from Texas to California permanently, so when he moved to California, he went to San Francisco first and stayed in the Tenderloin district, so it's on April 10, 1984, Richard. staying at this hotel in San Francisco is where he ends up murdering a nine year old girl in the basement of the hotel unfortunately he just raped and beat the poor girl before stabbing her to death I'm sorry and this would be Richards' first known murder, but initially it wasn't related to him at all, it went unsolved for many years and it wasn't until 2009 that they were able to get a DNA match linking him to this horrible murder. south of Los Angeles, so on June 28, 1984, a 79-year-old woman named Jenny was found brutally murdered in her apartment in Glassell Park, Angeles and was said to have been stabbed repeatedly while sleeping in her bed. and that they had cut his throat. her so deeply that she was almost decapitated.

Who had done this because they didn't know it was Richard at the time, but they knew whoever had done this had come in through the window and they had a fingerprint, but there were no suspects on March 17, 1985. Richard had attacked. a 22-year-old woman and her name was María. All of these crimes took place in the Los Angeles area, so 22-year-old Maria was breaking into her garage. Richard ends up ambushed and runs towards her and pulls out his gun and shoots her in the face and ends up surviving because the bullet had ricocheted off the keys in her hands when she raised her hands to protect herself.

Richard thought she was dead so he went inside. the house and inside the house was her roommate, a thirty-four year old woman named Gail, she had heard the gunshot from inside the house and had hidden behind a D counter in the kitchen and was like hiding There, she ends up raising her head above the counter where she is hiding to see where Richard is on the right, so she raises her head and that's when Richard sees her and shoots her in the face, killing her. Richard then looked around the house and tried to steal any jewelery or any similar valuables and then left and left within the same hour.

Well, within the same hour, Richard had met a lady named Veronica and she was sitting in her car and Richard wanted to steal her car so he could escape from her, so Richard ends up pulling her out of his vehicle. she. and he ends up shooting her twice and then ran away, he said he wanted to steal her car but he ran on foot after shooting her, so I'm not. Then, on March 27, 1985, Richard broke into a house in Whittier that he had broken into. He apparently broke into this house once before, so he comes back and breaks into this house.

It's now 2:00 a.m. m. in the morning, when he goes in there he sees Vincent, 64 years old, sleeping in his room next to Vincent, his 44-year-old wife was there. Her name was Mazzini Richard, they just sent shots to his head and of course this wakes up his wife who is sleeping next to him. Richard jumps on top of her and punches her, then bounces her hands off of her and demands she tell him where. all the valuables are inside the house, she tells him there are some jewelry there, just take what you want. The sheets are on the bed.

He is ransacking the house. She can really get her hands out of the ties and knows what's there. a shotgun under her bed so she can get out of there stay quiet so he doesn't know she's coming out and gets up she goes under the bed grabs the shotgun Richard enters the room he points it at her he pulls out The click of the trigger doesn't It was loaded. He couldn't imagine how he was feeling at that moment, so of course this angers Richard and he then proceeds to shoot him three times, so Richard ends up grabbing a knife from the kitchen.

At the house of Maybelle, 83, and her sister Florence, 81, they both lived together, so Richard breaks into their house and goes straight to the kitchen, and in the kitchen is where he finds a hammer. He runs into Florence first so he hits her with the hammer and then he runs into Mable, he bounces her wrists, she ends up hitting her and he gets electrical wires and shocks both women using this wire, then proceeds to rape to Florence and yes, it's great, then she grabs a lipstick that she sees and draws like a pentagram on poor Mabel's thigh, as well as on one of the bedroom walls, the women were discovered two days later and they were both still alive at the time and were taken to the hospital on July 2.

Richard stole a Toyota and randomly selected 75-year-old Mary's house, quietly entered the house and found her asleep in her room, then beat her unconscious with a lamp, then tried to find any valuables in the room. home and left her. Anyway, I haven't heard any good stories with the machete. buys a machete, Richard keeps stealing cars and then cleans them, throws it somewhere and moves on to the next, so he drives to 66-year-old Lila's house and her 68-year-old husband, Max, bursts into the bedroom of the couple, where they were sleeping he kills them both with the machete and then when he knew they were dead or thought they were dead, he shoots them in the head and then Rob goes to their house and takes all their valuables, like this that same night of July 20. at 4:00 a.m. m.

Richard breaks into another house, it was a husband and wife and they were asleep in his bed. Richard shot the husband, killing him instantly and then tied up and raped the wife, after which the couple had an eight-year-old son. Son, the eight-year-old son came in because he hears a noise in his parents' room, so he goes into the room to see what's going on. Richard is sure that he ends up taking all the valuables he saw and then leaves the house all this time. I mean, the police keep finding these victims and they're linking them all together thinking there's actually a serial killer out there, but they hadn't. They didn't make any public announcement about it, they didn't want to draw a lot of attention and scare Richard, then a televised press conference was held and it was during this conference that they ended up giving Richard the name Night Stalker now. During this press conference is when they tell the spectators to close their doors and close their windows because someone is coming and it could be any of you like they are putting a huge fear in anyone who is watching, which I mean, they weren't really wrong.

Because Richard was here killing random people, this press conference ended up pissing off a lot of people, especially the LA detectives, because they knew Richard was going to be watching and they knew Richard would like to run away or destroy. any type of evidence that he might have in his possession, so the detectives were angry that they had this press conference about it. I mean, they were right. Richard was really looking. Richard saw this and knew that everyone was after him and then he grabbed his slippers because they had mentioned in this press conference that they had to remember when they found his footprints in the garden area when he escaped from a house, well, they found out what kind of slippers they were. , so they made an ad about what guy Richard then takes his sneakers that were related to the crimes and drives to San Francisco, then goes to the Golden Gate Bridge and drops his sneakers off the Golden Gate Bridge and into the water in That time he stayed in the San Francisco area for a few more days and then for some reason returns to the Los Angeles area.

I don't know why, I mean, it's a good thing he did it because he gets caught, but like you know. mm-hmm, he drives back to the Los Angeles area and then on August 24th, Richard feels that itch or that need to break into someone else's house again, so he drives a little outside the Los Angeles area and is As if lurking outside a Inside the house there was a thirteen year old boy named James and he was awake and heard footsteps outside the window. At that time everyone had heard about this Night Stalker, so everyone was kind of scared.

This boy James hears footsteps and naturally he liked it. the Night Stalker so runs and wakes up his parents and they are making a lot of noise and making sure whoever is outside hears them well, this scares Richard and he gets into a stolen card, so James is 13 years old. He runs outside, brave, he had a small notebook and wrote down the color, make and model of the car Richard was speeding in and James was also able to get just a few numbers and letters from the license plate that James contacted and had given to police. what he knew or what he saw the stolen vehicle that Richard was driving and they found it on August 28th, they were able to get like a fingerprint off the rear view mirror even though Richard was very good at cleaning up the vehicle that he had just lost.

A little fingerprint cop is excited about this like they have a fingerprint okay so they go back and they are able to get a positive ID on the fingerprint and now they had a name for this serial killer who has been causing the chaos he belongs to this fingerprint. someone named Richard Ramirez see that he is like a 25-year-old homeless man from Texas and that he had a long record that included many arrests for traffic and drug violations, so the authorities decided to release to the media a mugshot of Richard that they had. . file so they do another press conference and they publicly address Richard because they know he is washing and they say we know who you are, everyone else will know too and there will be no place for you to hide which I feel like is a move so daring when you head to the assassin's gun chamber.

Okay, so on August 30th, Richard decided to take a bus to Tucson, Arizona, where his brother lived, so I guess his brother at the time wasn't completely aware of what was going on now that all the newspapers and TV shows in California were running this story. He was everywhere and you couldn't help it, but I don't know much about Tucson anyway.

Richard ends up not meeting his brother, so he takes the bus to Tucson and then gets back on the bus and comes back. to Los Angeles, what I've gathered may not really be certain, but I think it's because she was worried about putting his brother in danger and now involving him in his crimes, but that's still not clear, so I don't know. I don't really know, he gets back on the bus and goes back to Los Angeles, so on August 31, Richard gets off the bus and he's walking and he looks up and sees like a newspaper rack that has magazines, newspapers of everything and in the newsstand, it was just that all the newspapers had her picture on the front, so she sees this and she panics, she collapses, she runs off on foot and tries to run across the highway, she stops a car, it's a woman.

Richard gets exhausted with all this, so he leaves and jumps like several fences trying to commit more car thefts now this. It's the good part because it ends up in East Los Angeles so it ends up in the wrong part of the neighborhood, perfect of course, I love that his fool tries to stop one of the cars driving down the street, luckily there were people outside like a group of guys who stay outside and see this happening and say no and attack Richard, one of them had hit Richard in the head with a metal bar and that prevented him from waking up, it was like it knocked him out, you know, the group ends up alone. taking turns beating him and holding him down until the police arrived, then Richard is arrested and jailed and is waiting for his court date, so at his first court appearance we know there's press there and stuff and Richard had recorded a pentagram in his hand, so he's showing that he's like the cameras and stuff and he's just yelling Hail Satan, a lot of Satan stuff on his body.

Then, on August 3, 1988, the Los Angeles Times reported that jail employees had overheard Richard planning to shoot the prosecutor with a gun and then at Richard. he was really bragging about how he was going to be smuggled into the courtroom as a weapon and how he was going to do all that and they installed a metal detector outside the courtroom so on August 14 the trial was interrupted because one of the jurors didn't make it to the courtroom and that same day she was found shot to death in her apartment, so naturally the jury was terrified, they all thought it was Richard who had somehow ordered this to happen from the inside of his prison cell and now everyone, especially the jury, was really afraid for their own lives because you know one of them.

I'm just trying to do my duty. You know, and I don't want to put my life at risk. I do not blame them. I wouldn't go later. I determined that Richard was not actually responsible for this lady's death and it was like her boyfriend shot her and killed her uh, exactly what's happening, this is what's happening, you know, how horrible, now this is the part that bothers me the most. I mean, this whole story bothers me, don't get me wrong, hmm, the media was covering this story, they were showing pictures of Richards everywhere, a lot of people thought he was a handsome guy, he was very attractive, Richard had fans who loved him. they were putting. hundreds of letters they loved him, they were fans of his work, there were also many people who visited him while he was in prison, one of the women who was a big fan, her name was Doreen and she wrote him almost 75 letters during his incarceration and they were in love and then during his trial, women flocked to the courtroom to see him, screaming like he was Justin Bieber.
