The most heartbreaking end to an NHL season...

Apr 17, 2024
Tonight was so

heartbreaking

for the Detroit Red Wings. I can't understand how things developed, as we discussed in yesterday's video. Tonight had the potential to decide the Eastern Conference playoff teams and it did. I'm not going to summarize everything, but essentially Detroit needed. To win to stay in this, the Flyers did want a chance to beat Washington in regulation and Washington simply needed a win of any kind to secure their playoff berth, what made things more dramatic was the fact than Detroit, Montreal, Washington and Philadelphia, both. They finished 5 minutes apart. I was going back and forth mainly watching the Washington Philly game because it determined everything else, honestly a pretty boring matchup.

Philadelphia was down by one; nothing, they tied again, they needed that regulation victory, so there were 3 minutes left. Shoot your goalie, just drop a pin and it'll come back to that. Detroit, on the other hand, had an incredible comeback, al

most

identical to what they did last night, quite poor and the play in the first two periods saw them fall 3-1. would make it 3-2 before the start of the third, then Daniel Sprong's super high effort play ends up being ugly, but only after four reviewed his catch, that would tie the score at 33, however, the Canadians hoping to play like spoilers they would actually take the lead at the end of the third and I mean you must feel really good watching this as a Canadiens fan because it was hudson's slavkovsky this is the future it was hudson's first game last time you guys were a little mad I didn't talk about it here it makes NHL players look stupid dancing kale marar Style on the blue line, you love to watch it anyway, 10 seconds left in the game, the Red Wings get a very lucky icing call.

More Interesting Facts About,

the most heartbreaking end to an nhl season...

I'll call it what keeps the game alive and David Pon ties it. and obviously the team goes completely crazy, this is basically the same team that was there for the tying goal last night and at this point Philadelphia is essentially eliminated from the playoffs because even if they win their game in regulation against Washington, they will lose. Detroit would have a minimum of 90 points, they would have 89, however, let's go back to that game. Torz apparently didn't get the message or didn't care because al

most

right after that happened and Philadelphia's fate was sealed, he pulled out the goalie.

He tries to get that regulation win, but Washington scores, they go up 2-1 and that would be the final result despite some good pressure late in the game. Now, back in Detroit, they hold up their end of the deal by winning the game on penalties despite having to kill. a penalty in extra time and I want to say it was perfect. Patty Kane is the sixth shooter who scored the only goal of the shootout, but again it didn't matter, what's more frustrating, however, were a couple of missed decisions or just bad decisions in that Washington. The Flyers game and one in particular was atrocious about 10 minutes into the first Kelly Southernland and really everyone on the ice loses track of the puck, assumes the goalie has it, it's really in the air, falls, bounces off Joel Faraby this should have been a goal however Kelly Sutherland blew the whistle on review I mean it was the right call when the whistle was blown the play is dead however this was a big mistake by Kelly Southern, literally affected the fate of three teams, this would have given the Flyers an early lead, it's just an unacceptable decision, I really get it, everyone lost sight of the puck, but it sucks near the end of the game, plus it missed a too many men penalty in Washington at a crucial moment as if everyone was watching this game.

Again, there are several

season

s on the line, but unfortunately it's not really acceptable officiating, but that's all I have, congratulations Washington, now you'll be playing against my New York Rangers. I must say that I don't want to jinx things as a simple hockey fan. I wanted to see Pittsburgh or Detroit in the playoffs as a Rangers fan, however I think Washington is at least less dangerous than the Penguins, probably Detroit too, but it's the playoffs. Washington could beat New York, they could sweep them, it's the playoffs, let's see how. Go ahead and watch that Toronto game as Matthews has 70 years of guard and I don't think he wants to play the last game of the

season

against Tampa.
