More Interesting Facts About,

the koenigsegg gemera is a family hypercar with 1700 horsepower...

Next year or the next it will be the most powerful four-seater car ever made and probably the most expensive too. It doesn't have four doors, but all four seats are easily accessible thanks to a clever trick I'll show you and show you. you too everything else now this is a pre-production model like I said so I can't drive it yet but I can show you all the quirks and features or at least as many quirks and features as possible on the newest and the new Koning Sig more expected, so let's start right. I'm going to start off the quirks and features of the Jamiro with one of its more interesting quirks, which would be to simply get in and open the doors that you walk through to the car. the little

koenigsegg

keychain you press the door button and then this happens the door lifts up you can see it it looks absolutely amazing when it happens take another look this is the jamira door going up to open so people can get in Inside and by Of course, it's the same on the driver's side.
the koenigsegg gemera is a family hypercar with 1700 horsepower
If you want to get on the driver's side, the door can be opened to allow you to get in and this is what the car looks like when both doors are open. It looks amazing. cool as a

hypercar

should be, but you never really see that in a car with four seats, well you're seeing it now and when you want to close the door, it's the same process in reverse, the door closes by itself and you just see so cool to do it that you can see the door goes back down and then snaps back into place and then closes.
the koenigsegg gemera is a family hypercar with 1700 horsepower
Take another look. You can see the door closing. It's amazing to see how it happens so much cooler than basically any other exotic car door operation out there. What's great about this car's door, besides how it opens, is the fact that when open it provides access to the front seats. and rear instead of rear seat passengers having to move the front seat forward and get in. As they always do, you can see access to both rows of seats very easily here, you don't need four doors, you just need a giant door like this and that makes it quite impressive, not only compared to other hypercars but also compared to other four seats .
In cars, you have all this room to climb inside, but if you're paying attention to the details, you're probably wondering about this door because it's absolutely huge. So what happens if you are in a low ceiling area? The door will hit her. or what if you come to a low sidewalk the door will hit it at the bottom, but koenigsegg of course has thought that the production version of the jamiro will have sensors at the top and bottom of the door and if you feel that it is about to touch a low ceiling, it will stop opening so that the door is not damaged.
Alright, but anyway, next step let's start talking about the interior quirks and features of the gym. Here I'll start by getting into the back seat. which is surprisingly easy because of that huge opening door, it's very easy to get in back here and once you're in you have plenty of room. I'm sitting here and it's totally comfortable and look at this here. I'm entering. a person my size sitting in front, he's comfortable in his position and I'm comfortable in my position and we're both sitting here front and back in this car. You can't do that in any other car in this performance range, so that's nice.
Impressive to see and you can see the same on the other side, even with the steering wheel in place the driver and a passenger behind the driver can sit here. Tall adults should have no problem getting into this car and sitting comfortably in the front. or the rear again, quite special considering the level of performance of this car, you don't see that in a Ferrari, but below is an interesting quirk: one of the ways they can make this interior so spacious is that the seats are very thin. I can see that the entire seat is only an inch or two thick and that allows for better back seat room and better overall interior space because the seats don't take up as much space.
Part of the reason they can do this is the seat is just an individual carbon shell, each seat is instead all sorts of different pieces glued together, you just have a small thin seat, now it's an interesting element Related to the seat, the fact that the door opens like this means there is no B-pillar to this. car like it was basically in everything else and that meant that Koenigsegg had to find a place to put the seat belt for the front seats and they put it on the seat itself. You can see he's riding here, that's where the seat belt is. that's what you do when you don't have a b-pillar to mount the seat belt and another interesting result of having such a large door that covers both the front and rear seats is that the window is shared in both the front and rear rear and that includes the part of the window that goes down, which is presumably just this bottom piece on the window itself, goes down for the front and rear passengers together, so the front and rear will have to come to an agreement on whether they want or Don't lower the window.
I don't have individual front or rear windows on this car because you don't have individual front and rear doors and speaking of the door, let's talk about the front door panel, you have this beautiful yellow trim on the door panel up here and this beautiful accent. lighting that actually extends throughout the cabin and really looks good. It also has a grab handle up here as you would expect on most cars. In this car, of course, it's carbon fiber, but those are the typical door panel elements in this car. and interestingly, moving to the back half of the door panel, you can see about the same thing back here, it's got the same beautiful yellow trim on the back, it's got the same gorgeous ambient lighting and it's got the same grab handle situation back here, including in carbon fiber is all the same for the rear passengers, that's a theme here.
Koenigsegg wanted the rear seat passengers to have the same luxuries, the same equipment, the same things as the front seat passengers and I will show you other examples of that later, but Anyway, before we move on to the back seat of This car, I want to talk about the front end quirks and features because there are some really surprising ones on this car, starting with one of the first things you notice when you get up here and that would be the steering wheel with its rather unorthodox mounted gauge cluster. On the steering wheel itself, you can see it's right behind the horn, so what happens when you turn the steering wheel and the gauge cluster is upside down?
Well this happens, you can see the screen. It's actually programmed to stay upright no matter where you turn the steering wheel, you can turn it all the way and that screen will stay pointing up, which is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, it's like a car cluster screen. indicators stabilized and always in a vertical position. and that's an incredibly clever trick about this car: this gauge display always stays in place no matter where the steering wheel is. It's amazing and there are other amazing tricks on this car too. Take a look at the center of the board.
It has this camera. spinning around it's like a ball it's like an orb actually it just spins and spins and spins that's cool but the coolest part is it's not mounted on anything it's like magnetic it's just floating there you can see that I touch it and I can write. There's a mess with its orbit for a while, but it just spins around. It's like an orb that spins and spins on the front of your Koning Sig. It's supposed to be like a dash cam that's always watching when you're parked or when you're on it. You're driving or whatever and there it just turns in place, what a ridiculous feature, it's so weird and so cool, and speaking of cameras, you're sitting in the driver's seat, you look to the passenger side to check your blind spot in the mirror. and you discover that there are no mirrors in this car, instead you have a screen there that shows you what a mirror would traditionally see.
This small screen is transmitting the image of the mirror, because on the door itself you can see that there is no mirror mounted there, but instead of that, you have a camera mounted there that sticks out like a wooden mirror, but instead of a mirror big and bulky you have a camera and then its image is basically transmitted to the interior of the car. They have this on both the driver and passenger side. Because? Would you like to replace a simple item like a mirror with a camera? The main reason is aerodynamics. A big, bulky mirror on the outside messes up your arrow, but this little camera mounted on the outside is much smaller and much sleeker. it allows you better aerodynamics, plus it's not that this image here is really worse than a mirror, it's more or less the same and then, speaking of the screens in this car, let's go back to the steering wheel, where instead of buttons on The steering wheel has spokes.
They have screens that can be touched like any other touch screen and provide a sort of vibrating feedback to let you know that you have touched something to recognize it. On the left side you have the music controls, you can see the next track playing and also your volume control there, this is a screen on the steering wheel and the benefit here is that it can be configurable, so depending on what you're adjusting, what screen you're on, those menu items can change so you don't get stuck. a set of steering wheel buttons now also mounted on the steering wheel, you have the turn signals, they are on little thumb buttons just above the little screens and on the bottom left you have the headlight control and on the bottom right you have the windshield wiper. control so that all the main controls are mounted within relatively easy reach on the steering wheel.
Now on the right you have another small screen on the steering wheel that has a few more functions of the car, including the axle lift system. You can press it and lift the front part. of the car so it can clear sharp angles like driveways and also has the ability to activate this car's cruise control system. Koenigsegg told me that this car has the latest technology in terms of cruise control, it has adaptive cruise control. equipment and even has lane keep assist, so if you start to drift out of your lane, it will automatically put you back like modern luxury cars.
Many hypercars don't bother with those features that this one does and the next one does on this one too. Nearby, another interesting feature is the cup holders. This car has four cup holders mounted in the front seat area and has another four cup holders mounted in the rear seat area. Koenigsegg says these cupholders will be made larger before the car reaches production, but itbrilliant. What happens here is they have heating and cooling, one heated and one cooled cupholder for each passenger in the car, so two are heated and too cold in the front, two are heated and two are cooled in the back, which is a cool touch.
Next, let's move on to this. screen in the center, first, a very large screen reminiscent of Tesla and some of the other really large screens on the market, like the new Ram trucks, the screen has a lot of functionality and is very responsive, as you would expect a screen to be very sharp and Does exactly what you'd expect when you touch it, it's obviously not fully functional given this is a pre-production car, but it offers a lot of what it can do right now. On the top left you have the gauges on this car and I'll show you, like your boost, how much power you're using, your g meter, that kind of thing right below that, you've got some cool controls, your headlights, your fog lights, your throttle control. adaptive cruise, following distances here and you can see that they have made a Koenigsegg, the little logo on the adaptive cruise icon below, it has the ability to control all the doors and openings in this car, so if you touch the button on the door the door will open of course if you touch the other side the door on the other side will open and the same goes for the compartments in the front and back this is how you can control them all automatically you can simply touch each one of them and all of them will open, but in case this touch system fails, it is worth noting that above On the front you have an emergency door unlock, in fact, on the door panel an unlock is printed emergency door, I assume you can open it and there will be some kind of lever or release tab that you can pull to get out in case your electronics have failed and you can't get out of your koenigsegg, but anyway, continuing with the screen on the bottom row, you have a few different icons that you can use to control various elements in the car, for example, on the bottom left, you pull this up.
It's your seat control, you press it and then you can adjust the seat in several different ways forward, back, up, down, all of your seat controls are built into the screen and obviously on the bottom right, you have the same deal for the front passenger seat, so driver and passenger corresponding to your different sides on the screen now at the bottom left next to the seat control you have the settings menu, tap you can adjust various car settings, then you have the window defogger of course and then you have the temperature the interior climate control temperature and you can set that by pressing plus or minus it will change when you touch it you have the same deal on the other side of course another reading temperature and that's for the passenger side climate control temperature here also in in the center you have the fan speed and you can adjust the fan speed to several different degrees depending on the climate control that you want and then you move from there, you have the little sound icon that obviously adjusts the volume of the stereo, the phone icon of course, pull up your cell phone and then you can make a call and of course finally in the middle you have this giant map that tells you It allows you to look around you, it is your navigation map for the car, you can get directions to places like any other navigation screen.
It looks very responsive to your touch which is nice now in the top right corner of the screen you also have a few other icons, one is a camera, you press it of course and your camera system appears obviously this one isn't the actual image of what we're looking at now, but on the production car you'll also have a little music note icon up there, you tap on it and that opens up the music player situation so you can change the track, adjust the volume, whatever if you're the passenger. and the driver could just reach over to the steering wheel and do it himself and then move to the back seat in the jumeirah and again, like I said, it's quite comfortable back here, quite nice, surprisingly spacious considering I'm sitting in the back. of a hypercar with 1,700 horsepower that can do 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds.
I can't believe it doesn't require gymnastics to get back up here. That said, there is one piece that goes in the back and it's a little difficult. This little yellow trim piece that you have to clean to get into the back seat, but as I mentioned, this is a pre-production car and Koenigsegg told me that they realized that this causes problems getting in and out and that the production version will have A thinner piece here, this is a good example of Koenigsegg's attention to detail and discovering little things like this that will make their customers' lives much easier and then changing them before the car goes on sale, so which is interesting to see how a pre-production car evolves and that's one of the places they're going to make the change anyway, then other interesting elements here again.
We already showed you four cup holders, but it's interesting to see so many cup holders in a konig zig, so much practicality. here you can put drinks back here and heat them or cool them depending on what you're looking for. Interestingly, I already showed you that the front seats are very thin to maximize interior space in this car. It's worth noting that the rear seats are The same you can see that the rear seats are also a single piece of carbon fiber when you look closely at the back of them, they are like the front seats, also very thin and, again , that allows the rear seats to be pushed back as far as possible again. providing more interior space in this car now there is one interesting thing about these seats instead of just having one cushion on the entire seat or maybe two or three you have many different little yellow pads all attached to the seat exactly where they think it would be most comfortable, each custom placed to make the seat nice to sit on, but it's interesting to see 10 or 12 different pads attached to that piece of carbon fiber that forms the back of the seat and of course one of those yellow pads has this blue color and yellow flag which of course is the flag of sweden koenigsegg is proudly a swedish company and the swedish flag is on the car just to remind people where konigsen comes from and then talking about the seats next to the seats On the side the shoulder has this piece that is mounted like on this pillar here, what exactly is this?
It would be a glass breaking tool in case this car has some problem where you can't get out, it's been an accident and you need to get out. To get it out, you can take out this tool and then use the end to break the glass of this car so you can get out. They have placed him in the back seat on both sides so he can get out if necessary. you're in some kind of emergency, that's a cool feature, you don't see a built-in glass breaking tool in many cars, but it's in this one for safety and the next obviously notable element here is this screen, the giant screen in the rear center here It's the same size as the front, like I said, Koenigsegg wanted the rear passengers to have the same comforts, the same luxuries as the front passengers, so the seats are the same, the cupholders have the same heating, cooling, the same number. the inner room is the same and they have the same screen size.
You can see this is the home screen back here and it has quite a few cool controls. For one you touch this little button in the corner and it turns on your heated seat and I can see that I can turn on several different levels of heated seats, the next button will open or close the doors and when you touch it it will give you the option to go down or up the window or open or close the door, you can choose now that I mentioned before. that the front and rear passengers would have to come to some sort of agreement about the window being down and that's true, the rear passengers can control it on the screen.
Front passengers have small window switches on the roof, next to the rearview mirror, that they can control. the window, but either way they both have front and back controls for the same window, so some arguments may arise anyway. Next, continue with these icons. You also have a temperature control in the back here, just like the one in the front. You can press more or less to raise or lower the temperature in a fairly standard way. Next you have a fan control back here, interestingly it goes from zero to 100. You can choose any fan speed from zero to 100.
Most cars have five or six different fan speeds or just low, medium and high, This thing has a hundred different fan speeds, it may be overkill and it may not end up making it to the production model. Now, the next icon on the screen is quite interesting, these four squares, you touch it and several appear. There are different apps that come with the car, but my favorite is one that is marked as play and has like a video game controller. Now you press it and it says this app is not ready yet, but can't you wait until it is?
I'm really excited to see what kind of games you can play in the back of your Koenigsegg, which will definitely be interesting. Rear passengers can play games here. From there you have an icon for your phone, obviously, plug in your phone and you can use it. here and you have a volume control here also now two other interesting elements with this rear screen on the top right you press auto, which of course is the konigsig logo, you press that and then the front and rear cameras appear and you can see where they are On the road, I guess you can also check your tire temperature and pressure from the back seat using this car menu on the rear screen, that's cool.
You also have a menu on the top left, you can press the gauges and that will open the gauge for this car. gauge display and you can see how much power you're using, torque, all that again, very interesting, lots of different options and features for the back seat passengers. Another interesting thing worth mentioning in the rear is that on the roof you have this giant sunroof. Horizontal runs the length of the entire car, it doesn't open, you can't really see it in the front, but when you're sitting in the back it really helps make the whole experience feel more airy and open, you can see outside.
The front windows but also the roof and frankly it looks very cool and I like to see that I wonder if they will make it tintable on the production car like other vehicles have but for now it's just a cool little roof panel . and it definitely improves the back seat experience and then moving on to the exterior of this car, there are a lot of quirks and features to cover here, but I want to start with the name jamira, this is a Swedish word that means to give more and The idea was That this car offers more not only in terms of power and performance, but also space, spaciousness and the ability to transport your

family

, and that's where the name comes from.
From this angle you can also see the wheels, these are carbon. 21-inch front and 22-inch rear fiber wheels. Very light rims. These will be optional on this car, but they look fantastic and of course you should go for carbon fiber if you want the lightest wheels possible for your Jamira and the next one. Above, let's talk about the exterior lighting of this car. You can see it even with the taillights in this static state, they look very good. It's a very distinctive taillight design, but it becomes even more distinctive when you turn on the turn signal.
Take a look now. The turn signal is this beautiful wide design that runs across the entire taillight assembly and it looks fantastic, I really like the way it looks, but frankly, even cooler than the turn signal at the rear is the one in front, Right now you can see the lighthouse with its kind of operation. The lights are on, but turn on the turn signal and take a look, it goes through the running light in orange, it looks so cool, very distinctive and very special. Now there's another interesting thing with this lighting that you can see right under the lights. vent, this is actually the brake cooling duct.
They've integrated it into the headlight area to channel air to the brakes for cooling and that means you don't need an additional brake cooling duct somewhere else on the outside, which the design would do. a little more complex a little busier maybe it wouldn't look as good as integrating it into the headlight area which is a cool idea and next since I'm up front let's talk about the front compartment you'll actually open it up by pressing a button on your Koenigsegg key fob but you open it and it automatically opens and reveals a cargo area. Now that thenoise you hear is in the pre-production car, it will not be in the real production car, which will be silent when opened.
The front boot is worth noting, but you're underneath it anyway and you can see there's an adjustable luggage piece. You have a small storage compartment and an adjustable luggage piece that fits perfectly inside. Keep that adjustable piece of luggage in mind. That's because we next move to the back of the Jamiro, where you have another compartment that opens again and opens automatically. You open it up and it reveals two interesting things: one is the engine, which I'll get to in a second, but the other is a load. compartment back here where you have three more pieces of the same tight luggage that you saw in front.
This is important because you then get four pieces of fitted luggage of the same size to match the four seats in the car, so four luggage, four seats makes sense. and now it works perfectly with this luggage. You can see two important things here: one is that each piece is the perfect size to fit exactly in this car and maximize cargo space, frankly, the other thing you'll notice is that you have names on each piece. of luggage each name is one of christian von koenigsegg's family members he is of course the founder of the company he has four members of his family and he wanted to take them all in a four seat car with individual suitcases and by that you have a four seater with four pieces of luggage with the names of your family and the next thing we have here is the engine that shares this rear compartment with the cargo area, so you have to calculate how to place the engine and the cargo area.
In this small compartment, the engine must be quite small, and in fact it is only a three-cylinder, although it is a two-liter three-cylinder, which is quite large for a three-cylinder engine, but it is a three-cylinder, nevertheless Koenigsegg refers to this engine as the small and friendly one. gigantic because this engine makes 600 horsepower, about 450 pound-feet of torque, an incredible number for a three-cylinder engine, absolutely crazy and that's not enough for this car. 600 horsepower makes it quite powerful, but this car has more than that in the way. of three electric motors that add additional power, the total is approximately 1700 total horsepower at maximum power which is an incredible number and around 2600 feet of torque, a truly earth-shattering number and that is what helps send this car from zero to 60 in 1.9 seconds now.
You may be wondering why use a gasoline engine. So many modern performance cars are switching to all-electric, but there are some good reasons why you might still want a gasoline engine like the one this car has. For one thing, you save weight if you try to get it. 1700 horsepower from the electric motors, you're going to need a huge amount of batteries and that's going to add a lot of weight, but if you have this little three-cylinder engine that provides about a third of that power, you'll save some weight instead of having to keep all of them. . those batteries also save size.
They are trying to make this car a four seater to maximize interior space again. Electric motors. Lots of batteries. It makes it harder from a packaging perspective, so the gas engine helps give you a little more. size back to make the car more spacious, the last thing worth mentioning here, you can see on the back, there are two pipes that look like exhausts on the back of this car, those are actually exhaust pipes for the gasoline engine, they come out right next to the engine. it's a little high on the car and you can see that's where they are, so you don't have the exhaust in a traditional location, but again, almost nothing on this car is traditional, so it makes sense and finally move on to the rear.
For this car, I want to talk about the exterior styling for a second, starting at the back, where you have this beautiful carbon fiber diffuser, as you would expect from a true hypercar. It looks great, I'm sure it's functional and stylish too. As for the rest of the car, frankly, I think this car looks fantastic. I don't know if I've ever seen a four-seater car pull off the true hypercar look as well as this one. It's a pretty impressive packaging feat. In fact, to be able to have an interior as large and as accessible as this and still look like a hypercar, a supercar, a megacar, whatever you want to call it, and that's a truly impressive feat.
I think Koenigsegg made a great effort. Incredible job achieving the beauty and also the aggressiveness of this car without sacrificing the rear seats like so many brands frankly have to do to make practicality work. It really is a pretty impressive feat to see so much practicality and so much hyper carniss and me. I can't wait until the day these are actually in production on the road combining that practicality and that performance and that's the koenigsegg jamira this is an amazing car really amazing and a total departure from other hypercars and from other models of koenigsegg and frankly other sedans, it's been really amazing to be able to look at it and show you all of its cool quirks and features and i can't wait to drive the jamira when it goes into production.
This is the Koenigsegg Jamira, as far as we go. that moment
