I'm standing on top of my roll, which will need some serious work to get it back to where the kids are now, but before I start this project, there's something else. we have to do, we have to do a project for my wife, she has been super amazing, understanding and supportive of what we have been doing there, so before we re

that's connected to my wife and I's bedroom and to be honest it should have been done years ago but we've been so busy building here that it just fell by the wayside so we never used The platform is falling apart.

It's got holes in it, the railing is falling off our pets, so we're going to put new railings in, put it back up, seal it and paint it, really attach it and make it look good so that when we're here riding Megan can come. We are missing axles on the bottom rail. it's just falling off some of these places so we're 20 feet off the ground here above the greenhouse, not really a safe situation, plus all the deck boards are loose and I think it's my favorite part of the deck at the moment.

Clean everything up and get it ready and ready for me to put the first board back on so I'm going to clean that up then I'm going to remove some more boards and then I can restore and protect all of these boards that are underneath before I put the boards back on top I survived working for the heat of the day. Now it's cooling down a bit and I have the entire deck torn off so before I put the new deck on I have some water damage. To deal with these few middle beams, I don't think the previous owners treated the top of them, so water could settle and pool and there's a little bit of rot on some of them, so what I'm going to do is to scrape.

I take out the rotted wood and then I can treat it with this thing called copper green and it prevents any insect damage and water damage, so it will stop this damage where it is because most of this beam is strong and then I can reinforce it. We covered it with boards on the sides attached with carriage bolts that will help hold everything together so the last thing I want is for more water to collect in the middle where these boards are to protect this beam so I filled it with foam afterwards I treated it and painted it so there was no open space for the water to sit and cool.

What I'm going to do now is fill in these cracks at the bottom oh and you're ready to paint the boards yeah we need to make some easels so I have something to paint them on so the way these brackets work is to place the two-by-fours here and screw them here and then this one above is attached to a two-by-four that crosses how high above the ground you want these.
