The GREATEST Pokemon Series Nobody Watched...

Apr 19, 2024
Pokémon Sun and Moon I don't think there's ever been a time where Pokémon fans were so divided even to this day. 7 years later people in the comment are still complaining and ranting about how bad the sun and moon anime was, I mean the

pokemon

comeback anime. In 2015, it was a completely different time, fans promoted both the XY and Z

series

because of Ashar Ninja Mega Evolution and his companions, especially Serena, but overall, the

series

is still praised for being one of, if not the best best Pokémon series of all time. They exist according to most fans now.

I was an avid Pokémon watcher when the sun and moon came out, but I remember watching most of the XY episodes up to that point and watching the ending like most people. I was eager to continue my Pokémon obsession. I got on to the next show, so I jumped on my couch, lay back, grabbed the TV remote, and

watched

Pokémon Sun and Moon playing on Disney XD. Now I am very excited and ready to see the next chapter of Pokémon. The first episode begins and suddenly. I was immediately disappointed in what happened to you Ash, why do you look so bad?

More Interesting Facts About,

the greatest pokemon series nobody watched...

I endured the first few episodes to wait and see if the story picked up where Caros left off, but after finding out it was a completely new story, I decided to go for it. what any sane person would do and rewatch Pokémon As I sit back enjoying the All these thoughts were spinning around in my 10 year old brain, why didn't they stick with the style? Formula XY, why did things have to change? This from what I have interpreted in many comment sections and other opinions online was how most people reacted upon first watching the sun and moon anime.

There were so many die-hard XY fans walking right in. The Sun and Moon felt like they had just lost one of their favorite series because it was unrecognizable to them. The animation style was completely thrown out for this really cartoony Yo-kai Watch-inspired animation. It also makes sense because at the time Yo-kai Watch was one. of Pokémon's biggest competitors and Pokémon being Pokémon wanted to, quote, copy its formula on their own. I also heard that it could be because animators find it easier to show emotions, which if you watch the sun and moon anime you'll know there are tons of emotions constantly on the character's faces to entertain younger viewers.

If you combine that with the fact that Ash is no longer fighting in gyms, you can see why so many fans, including me, bounced off the show and yes, there were a lot of people who HATED these changes that happened to the sun and the moon, but wait, I wouldn't be talking about this if something didn't change. Then something happened that really turned a corner for me that changed my entire perspective of the sun and moon anime. I said I was around 10 years old when I started watching the series Sol y Luna and that was when it first aired on television;
There were probably only like 20 episodes at the time in English Flash Forward five years later and I found myself back on another boring couch with nothing to do and I had an idea that got into my head, you know, I'm going to go watch XY series again, because it has Goodra, so after a few months of binge-watching XYZ series, I came. until the end, pretty impressed by how good it was even all these years later, but then I remembered that there wasn't a Pokémon series that came after the XY series, yeah, Pokémon Sun and Moon, hey, I clicked on the first episode and post-traumatic stress disorder has already begun to appear.
It's not the animation, my eyes hurt, but I told myself to hold on, don't give up, remember what Ash said, never give up until it's over, so I continued, I persevered until the end. The first episode goes by quite well. The second episode is okay, not that bad. In the third episode we have the incredible fourth episode of Team Rocket and I'm already singing along to the intro. I can get used to this heat on my skin. It's been almost half a dozen episodes later and I no longer resent the ridiculous animation style. I'm used to it and I've actually gotten to the point where I'm starting to like it now, of course when it comes to this animation or XY, I'll still prefer XY, but it works for the series and the style of Alola and Speaking of Alola, I mean Talk about an incredible atmosphere.
Who doesn't love a tropical island full of Pokémon? Every episode feels so dreamy and it's like they're saying they're on a real vacation. I think I love it so much that it inspired me to pack my bags. my bags and now I'm moving to Hawaii see you later see you later let's go back to the beginning of the series because I'm skipping a lot of the problems of SL things that I like about the series the first big change is the Pokémon school now at the beginning, the concept of this sounds really boring and stupid and i agree but again it's pretty cool, after a while you start to get attached to this setting and the big tree house school they are in, plus most of the characters are interesting enough, aside from a few weirdos here and there, I was sucked into this place like it was Ash's second home and, speaking of home, I mean, they literally give Ash a house to live in with the main man, Professor Kiki, who may have a full video. own dedicated to why he is a great character on this show.
I guess Ash living in KI is another big change because, compared to all the other series where we are used to seeing Ash traveling from city to city, forest to forest, in this series he just stayed in this house, I went to school and traveled to other islands and I personally admire the change of pace and I felt like it got old and predictable watching him follow the same route and like he does in the games if you play the In the games you can predict where Ash will go just by the gym leader he defeated and what city he is in, like you know that if he defeated the first gym, he will go to the second gym and then the third, and so on, and the sun and the moon there.
There are no gyms, there are island challenges and kahunas who are gym leader type people for each island in Alola, but they are also different in the sense that you can go to any of them at any time and at any time and it's okay, you might Don't prefer island kahunas to the gym. leaders however are a nice change of pace for the series, we can't talk about the sun and moon anime without mentioning Team Rocket, why hasn't Team Rocket been around since the beginning, aren't they just there to the plot anyway? I care, okay, this is where Team Rocket gets interesting in this series, it maximizes the humorous aspect of things and reduces the annoying aspect of things, which was probably the part most fans complained about during years.
Anyway, compare SM's Team Rocket to XY and it's a Hoy, one appears in every episode to fight Ash and sometimes captures Pikachu and does weird things. The other one is having fun. Pokémon with unique personalities only appear when necessary and have the most entertaining Pokémon of all at their side, and that Pokémon, ladies and gentlemen. It's just that the amount of times Bo just comes out of nowhere to snatch Team Rocket and fly away while holding them like rag dolls is too many to count and it never gets old because Beare is so entertaining every time he's on screen. .
This is by far the best Team Rocket we've ever seen and they add a lot of entertainment value to the series which is another added bonus. What about colleagues? Yes, there are many, which means that not all of them will have the same screen time and the same development. but that's okay because the character they chose to focus on was really fun and interesting, besides maybe Lana who I think they paid too much attention to, instead they should have given screen time to other characters that desperately needed more development for us. I don't give a damn about them either way, even if not all the characters were given the best development, it still felt like they were a small group of family friends and Kiki is like his father who helps them on their travels. .
I know most people love Lily. because of the plot he received from the story of the Aether Foundation and his family, but I think Kiawe was the best, he's like a slightly worse version of Brock, but I mean, it's hard to be Brock since he's the best of all the times. Kiawe and Ash just shared this. a great brotherly bond that makes them really fun to watch and you have to love this man. Kia gets enraged by some of the silliest things in Pokémon. It's great to see the main flaw of the series, besides the strange animation, is the lack of battles.
We usually see Ash constantly fighting other trainers that he encounters throughout his journey, however, since Ash no longer wanders around the forest, he has to go out and ask permission to fight other people. It also doesn't help that no one in Alola is really a serious Pokémon Trainer, probably why Ash won this league to be honest, but it's still something most fans would like to see more of now. Personally, I don't mind that he doesn't constantly fight as much as others do because the Alola environment sucks you in. You almost want to relax and hang out with your friends, and of course there's something about Pokémon Alola that's just so majestic anyway.
As for the Pokémon Ash cot, we have the legendary ret, who was my favorite rockruff and later evolved into a twilight. lyan Rock form Just the most special thing for our boy Ash, come on, I mean, you know they did this because giving Ash an exclusive and unique Pokémon form creates a lot of hype for the series, as we see an XY with Ash Greninja Linton, who then he became torat and then incinerated at the end of the series he was a funny little fire cat with a sad backstory who then became nagado he was an ultra Beast that was a surprising guest to say the least and then he merged, who evolved into a Mel Medal for simply doing Ash op so he could sweep the Alola league, which was cool to see, especially after he got stolen in the Colos league.
Finally I saved the best for last. The best Pokémon he had was none other than Soo himself playing Nebbi. Too bad he forgot to catch. Honestly, this team was probably Ash's best team in terms of personality, each had their own development that felt well suited, especially the retired one. I would even say that this team is a contender for Ash's best teams in terms of raw power and strength since he won the Alola League with these guys now, before we continue talking about how bad the American League was, let's talk about Gladion first, the main rival.
I think Gladion was a well-made rival, not as good as someone like Paul, but he had the qualities you would expect from someone. destined to face Ash in the finals, he was a nervous guy who looked like the Alan type Sigma male who goes his own way and is mostly seen alone, the good thing is he wasn't fooled by anyone like Alan was, oh wait, Wow, I mean gladion. He was obviously going to be an interesting character because he's Lily's brother and his connections to the Aether Foundation story, but other than that, he had a cool Lan Rock who had a rivalry with Ash's cool Lan Rock, which was cool. to see because it added more drama. to the main fight of the aloa league and yes, now we can talk about that, so the first part of the league becomes a battle royal because of course people expect to win one and move on to the battle stage, and This is where things get interesting, probably the most measurable was the battle between how versus Ash with his deui facing Ash's powerful R, of course Ash wins and ret needs to keep using only 0.1% of his power , pretty impressive for ret Ash versus guzma. the evil gang leader was pretty fun and then ash versus gladian in the finale was awesome.
I bet most people thought Ash was going to stifle another League victory, but he actually managed to beat everyone, even Professor Koui, who I would say is a tougher opponent because he was able to use Mega Coco Cap overall great. Great Rival League Great Pokémon Great Characters Great Story and this has to be my favorite series it's this one or XY and I'm always debating in my head which one I prefer more Back to the main point of this video, why are Pokémon Sun and Moon so hated? It's simply because we had a huge, drastic change from XY that caused many fans to not watch the series, most people acted like me when I was younger. and I dove in after the first few episodes to watch those who disagree, I encourage you to seethe Sun and Moon anime from beginning to end and tell me if you still hate the series or not because I would be very surprised if you still do, that's all I have.
