The Ford Bronco Raptor is impressive

Mar 05, 2024
this is the Ford Bronco Raptor it has the shadow black exterior it's the Lux package it has the beadlock capable wheels the carbon fiber interior package and just about everything you could want inside the Bronco Raptor the fenders are pretty high up and that's for a Some reasons why you have a different suspension that we'll get to in just a second, but it's also to support these ridiculous 37-inch tires and the tires because of how big they are, they give the Bronco Raptor incredible ground clearance. , such as your maximum ground clearance of 13.1 inches. and a maximum of 37 in water fortification capabilities inside this thing too, so if your plan is to take it out of line, go to places where it's going to get a little wet, you'll be covered there and still if you go to places where You need that underbody protection, you'll find it inside the Bronco Raptor.
the ford bronco raptor is impressive
You've got a number of different parts underneath that have steel skid plates that will be standard inside the Raptor. The wheels inside are a little unique and the reason is because it is the bead lock capable wheel, so there are two different options for the factory wheel, either with bead lock capable or without bead locking capability. Ultimately, it will be a matter of preference, but if you take it off road having the beadlock is able to help you inflate your tires so that the tire does not slip. This thing is also the 4.0 fox live valve 3.1 hos system, so it leads to incredible off-road performance when you get a side. of the Bronco and you see the front end, it is very different inside the Raptor compared to any other trim level of the Bronco, you have unique headlights, the Ford logo in the middle of the grill instead of the traditional Bronco letters that I would find two front hooks along with some steel skid plates oh yeah now some other stuff as far as basic tech goes so I mean your basic modular bumper this thing has the W sensing system and then there are some rigid LED fog lights towards below. under under the hood of the Bronco Raptor so right between the O and the r Ford is going to go left and this is the first time I've seen under the hood of the Raptor and I have to say damn. 3-liter turbocharged engine, when using premium fuel, will make 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque, which is pretty respectable now that you technically don't need to use that premium fuel like a 91 octane that you can get away with. yours. just 87 normal, which we'll get to in a second, but the power output inside this 3L turbo is ridiculous, especially when you compare it to the 2.7L engine, the Bronco.

More Interesting Facts About,

the ford bronco raptor is impressive...

You have three different engine options available: there's a 2.3-litre which is available as a s-speed manual or 10-speed automatic, there's the 2.7-litre which is strictly a 10-speed automatic and then this 3-litre turbocharged engine which is the same thing, only you're doing a 10 speed automatic transmission. some things you can easily top up the fluids yourself, checking the oil change is a little tricky on the side, there is easy access to the battery, although if you need it, one good thing is that it has Ford Roadside Assistance as part of the La Ford warranty and the warranty within this is pretty solid, like you're looking at 3 years, 36,000 miles or 60,000 km for your base powertrain and then a 5 years, 60,000 M or 100,000 km, which is pretty respectable and then the Ford Roadside Assistance. like I said, it's available on the same terms as the powertrain warranty, so it's helpful because if you need a winch, if you need fuel delivery, tire changing services, and a host of other things, Ford has you covered wherever you are. that you are, check Facebook, look for local Bronco groups because I'm going to meet amazing like-minded people and in case you find yourself in circumstances where you need a tow winch and whatever the case may be, the off-road people can help you , but they do have coffee parties and car parties, so it's really good. social aspect of owning a Bronco and being part of one of those clubs, but in the description of the video I'll link it to the Ontario Bronco Club if you want to see it fueling up inside the Raptor a little differently than the regular Bronco. alignment just from the way the doors are cut and the way it sits, uh, it's pretty neat just from the way the fender sits and how high the clearance is, but it's still right along on the driver's side and you have everything. of the highlights of the regular Bronco, so all Broncos along the Le over the years still have the capless system and regular 87 gas is technically the manufacturer's minimum recommendation, but a big butt, especially on the big butt, especially on the 3l.

With a turbocharged engine you'll definitely want to make sure you're at least using an 89 or a 91 because the horsepower torque specs we were seeing under the hood are achieved using a 94 octane, so if you use an 87 the engine will be well fuel mapping can handle it but if you want the best possible performance for your ride you at least want to use like an 89 or a 91, if you can find the 94 and have the budget for it try some fuel. At Cycles, you'd be surprised how much more power you get and feel out of that higher octane fuel, instead the fenders flare inside this thing, they're unique, the lights on the back look sharp, there's a

raptor

badge on the bottom.
the ford bronco raptor is impressive
On the left side of the door, this thing also has two rear tow hooks and then the tow cap capacity is here, so there's the seven and four pin as well as your class 2 receiver inside the Broncos Normally, it is maxing out at 3500 lbs. towing capacity inside the Raptor, you're maxing out at 4,500 lbs of towing capacity, so you're towing a boat trailer, whatever the case may be, you're more than covered inside the Raptor, which is amazing, but in technology wise there's quite a bit back here reverse sensing systems there this thing also has smart access so along the door you can press the button there as long as you have the key to lock and you can also slide your hand in inside to open up top beastly beastly I love it oh this is great and there's so many things here too so you recovered not so much but you have your bag your door um all your bags for your doors left side right is good and then you have I also loved it, like fight with Bronco for the actual cargo mat.
On the right there's a Bronco light and then a 12 volt PowerPoint and then you have a problem here too and that's because this is the upgraded audio system, what I mean. It sounds great, but under the mat here you can lift and then you also have your four tie-downs, so there's two in the back, two a little bit higher up and then there's also a little part that you can lift up a little bit. There's a little bit of storage there, but you do have the white spigot, so if you ever need to fill using a Jerry, make sure you insert that spigot first and then there's the jack too.
You could get to the second row seats from the back, but if you need to, you can go around the side, make sure the door is unlocked and then right at the top you have a release mechanism, you might have You fold down the headrest and, as you can see, there is plenty of cargo space inside. of the Bronco, which is great and the measurements I look at specifically for the depth of the vehicle are based on where the door would close and then the length behind the second is the cutout of the second row armrest, right behind So if your Seats move up a little bit more, they move back a little bit more, it will be give or take a couple of inches, depending on how far those seats have been slid forward and there are so many little highlights.
I just noticed that this one also works forward along the bar on the back here too which is nice, you have a nice light along the side mounted camera as well as part of that 360 camera, there is also a little light under the blind spot monitoring system. it's there and these things heat up along the side smart access, you can press there to lock, slide your hand in so you can unlock, but look at this beautiful, some basics along the door, you just have the handle there to unlock the lock. button and then a little bit of storage there too and honestly just because these things are completely removable that's why there's not too much there but you can easily lift them up to remove the doors along the Bronco side handle with fiber insert carbon so this is not standard inside the Raptor carbon fiber is optional inside it by flipping down a series of switches so you can activate the rear view mirror lights find out what's going on with the running lights turn the lights on or off fog lights increase or decrease the brightness of the cluster display, there is electronic parking brake and then the hood opening, on top of that you have the factory trim there, so the Raptor trim is specific for the front row and for the second row seats.
It's good for all seats, though look. on that beautiful two tone stitching on the seat itself, the nice Raptor badge in the middle, the feel of the seat is really nice, I like it and then since you're in the Raptor you have power seats so you can move backwards, up and down with the seat adjust the backrest and then you have two-way lumbar support, even the little detail like I love Ford's performance highlight at the time the really solid handling of the Raptor is beautiful, the interior of this thing is really good, I love seats inside the Raptor four way adjustable so you can move back with it up and down as well to create that perfect position and oh yeah this is nice and I like the space inside I love how much room you have to find the interior of the Bronco in general, but in this thing like wait, wait, oh, there we go, there we go, that's where I like it, so at most I have like four and a half inches of headroom with the seat what further back and as low as possible, okay, it will go back even further with the seat as far back and as low as possible, yes, because you have this little bar right in the middle, but if normally, you are taller and normally you have the seat a little bit further forward, you can lock it with it a little bit further forward, a little bit of head room, but I mean there's a lot of room inside this thing, a beautiful, beautiful steering wheel inside this thing, absolutely amazing, but I love it , look at all the simple highlights, the red stitching all over the bottom, this one has the carbon fiber package that gives you that fiber wrapped bottom of the steering wheel and runs all the way across the top. and along the steering wheel so well now these are the buttons for the adaptive cruise control system increase decrease the volume along this side basics for moving through the group display answer hang up a phone call there is a command message voice and then change songs or radio stations but one thing that makes the Raptor a little more unique is that it has some extra buttons on the bottom so the one here allows you to cycle through and adjust different modes so you have different steering modes there, so there is the normal mode. comfort and then Sport and the idea there will essentially be the turning of the steering wheel, so when you're in normal mode it'll be like basic comfort, which means you have to turn it a little bit more to turn.
The steering wheel and then sport tightens things up, there's a

raptor

specific button and you can see what's going on with your mode and then if you want you can press and hold there to enter your individual mode on the right side. We have two other buttons so this is the damper control so you have your normal sport versus off-road and that will change the dynamics of the suspension and then there's another one for the exhaust mode so there's four very individual modes. similar to what you'll find inside the Ford Mustang. It's really cool that you have it available, but let's jump outside and I'll show you how it works, so it's really nice and then you can customize it as well. the group screen aspect a little bit and that's all done using these buttons along the side so as you go up and down, you're essentially in your my view settings there and that gives you some other options to What you have you have your trip counter, there's the status of the Raptor, you can see what driving modes you're in, whether or not the traction stability controls are on, off, what's going on with everything and then you have the flexibility to press OK. and you can add removal screens.
So the trip counters count the status of the Raptor, if you want pitch and roll stuff like that, let's go ahead and add performance there as well and then when you jump toback, that will give you some extras, you can see there are some additional options that are available. now, scroll down and this is a performance view, but look at this, look how good it looks, so on the side you have all your different gauges, you have what gear you're currently in which modes you're at the bottom. I love that, it's so good with the speed that you're going through everything that's going on with the vehicle itself, so if you had a different disc, of course, if you have different disconnects, look at this so you can see the rear disconnect. disabled if you have trail turn assist that will show you Etc. certain things like trail turn assist etc. are just not available in different modes but I mean I love how they look so cool and then you have your counter Raptor trip. off-road pitch and roll status so you can see while turning the wheelWhat is happening with the steering angle?
Things like that. Nice return to view of the indicators. You can choose indicators. Oh and then you can see these things that have like a black line and that's because you're only allowed a maximum of four meters so you can adjust this if you want and put in any of these other options, so basically you would have You have to deselect it, so let's say if you didn't care about the transmission temperature but you did want to have I don't know, maybe you could adjust your air-fuel ratio that way so you have different options for the gauges, so you have some options, there are a number of other hero buttons on the top for the gimbal to disengage, so you have to Do you have to be in high four or low four to do that?
You have locking differentials that are also available in the front and rear, which is useful for the turn assist on the trail and what this does is lock the innermost rear wheel. So if you're on a trail, you're going left to right, whatever the case may be, it's going to lock up the innermost rear wheel and the big benefit is to help you turn left and right a little bit easier. You have traction control. four way flashing lights, on top of that this button starts a little highlight and then this is the Sync 4 media screen that you'll find inside the Bronco, so the Bronco technically has two different options, but inside the Raptor we're always looking this larger option, instead we have options for amfm serus XM Bluetooth.
If you had a USB stick with MP3 on it, you might as well plug that in and we're actually going to do an audio test right now. because this is the Luxe package, so we're looking at a total of 10 speakers inside, so on the Bronco overall it's going to be a seven or 10 speaker system, this is the 10th, so let's have a little fun. We'll adjust the sources and this just comes directly from the audio so nothing is done afterwards, it's directly from the microphone that's used here, starting from low to high, grow strong what you want to be, everyone do what you want and that was literally half the volume. if you raise the base like three stops and lower the treble like two, it's usually really good audio through the screen, you can do that easily and a phone for Bluetooth connections has wireless Android auto and Apple Carplay, you don't need to be.
Connected to Android auto or Apple carplay, you can use Bluetooth strictly if you want. This thing has a nice responsive full screen factory navigation with pinch to zoom capability which is a great basic app screen series of different settings that are available inside this thing like there are a ton of useful settings , some vehicle configurations that are available, so some useful ones like remote entry so you can use the key fob to open the windows, which is great, I can't do it in this case because the windows were literally tinted. Unfortunately, there is lighting available so you can have automatic high beams and things like that, then a number of different functions for driver assistant settings.
Zone lighting, but useful, and then if I remember correctly, I think they might be good different options for your pages. so you can go to the off-road state Zone lighting, navigation, phone travel and things like that, so let's go to the off-road state for now, yeah, so you can see what angle the steering wheel is at and what direction or what angle it is at sitting the vehicle if you have something disconnected, etc. Nice, this is really cool, it looks very very nice, sweet, but on the center console here you have the volume control, the adjustment control, this thing has a full 360 camera so you can see the front view full 360.
You can also go to partial front view or front 180 view and then if you're in reverse it switches to different views so you have that 360 view with a full 180 or full screen backup. go back to your 360 mode instead, it's really helpful to move around. down, auto start, stop, basic controls for uh, for your audio, dual zone climate control within this series of other climate control settings, so do you want to enter the feet of the windshield, some type of combination of Heated steering wheel button, heated front row seats and then down? I lowered two outlets that I pointed out, so USB type-c usb to this thing has a wireless charging pad, it will be standard.
I also love that the Ford performance looks solid, oh even the handle holds up in the side view so you can look at it, but there is carbon fiber along the handle and a little bit along the side so there is good reflections there. It's a nice shifter inside this thing that feels really, really good, typical Bronco in the middle, but with the carbon fiber in place it looks sharp. I love Parking in reverse neutral drive manual mode, you can get in and then you're just using the paddle shifters at that point, technically you don't need to be in manual mode to use them, although there are few cupholders, key fob, nothing special or unique , oh wait, oh Raptor, I wasn't sure, but yeah, secure enough inside the key fob, so the front is typical Ford styling, but the rear is Raptor specific, there are some nice cup holders and then also I love that twist shifter.
It's red, obviously, on the Raptor side, but you have two highs, four highs, four automatics and four lows. The basic thing is two highs you want to be in most of the time, four highs if it's slippery conditions, snowy conditions, things like that. four Auto if you're going back and forth between snowy conditions, dry roads and things like that and then four loaves for aggressive off-road rock crawling if you're towing a boat out of the water things like that and then this is going to be your trail assistant , so what that means is that with the trail assist activated you drive with one pedal, so instead of having to worry about the brake, you only worry about the accelerator, but the second year you take your foot off the accelerator and your vehicle will continue forward. to break it's pretty useful and then there are a number of selectable driving modes as you go but look at this so good and I love the graphic inside this thing like Raptor specific but damn it looks good wait, I have to do it. just cycle through each mode, sport mode holds the RPMs a little longer to give you sportier performance, switches to just your basic normal mode, off road, same idea they're going to play with the traction stability controls by switching to four in place to move.
Go into Baja mode and the same thing, so you see there's a locked differential that plays with our traction stability control and stuff like that and then you go back to rock crawling mode, there we go, so you have to go down four in order. to get into that, so if you want to get into that mode, you literally shift into neutral, the arm automatically shifts for us, the stability bar is disengaged. You can see that the advanced track is off because we're at four bass and then you take a look at the top. there you can see that things automatically disconnected when jumping into that mode, but look at that group screen, damn, it looks good, and let's shoot, get back to normal and see what actually happens.
I have to go to sport mode on the way back. to the dealer, I loved it and you can see it automatically shifted to high and then automatically disabled everything else there, so the stability bar disconnected and stuff like that, but I love that beautiful one on the side, so typical Bronco style, you have the controls for the side mirrors basic window controls cut power to the windows you can close them in the glove box if you want and then open it and there is a pull out tray and then a little 12 volt outlet in there too actually that tray should be like that, there we go and a 12 volt powerpo right on the back, that nice little Raptor graphic on the side, on top of that, which is kind of nice, it feels premium.
I love it, but honestly, I also love the seats. Check it out. rapor graphic on the roof, this thing has the auto dimming rear view mirror, all the controls for the cabin lights, auxiliary switches, so you're programming whatever you want, so I've seen dash cams hooked up and programmed on this one thing you have I have winches if you want to get that if you want to go that route light bars along the front there's so many things from there you also have a garage door opener built into a small vanity mirror with business card holder with lights and this thing extends Well it gets most of the sun in there, the seat right now is set up for the way you would normally drive it, at 6 feet tall and since this is the full four door Bronco there is plenty of room in the second row like it has a lot of foot room lots of knee room and up sitting completely upright 3 and 1 and a half inches of head room a little over three and a half inches of head room, which which is excellent, second row seats pretty good, little shake test, not bad at all the handles to enter the first row wrapped in carbon fiber when you get the interior package, but the handle on the second row is just the traditional Bronco handle, instead behind the driver and passenger seat in the first row there are some mesh pockets just behind the armrest for the first row, you will find controls for your windows in the second row, a number of different PowerPoint, so there's another USB Type A USBC and then there's also a 150 watt, oh not 400 watt L wallet, which is great for taking on the Bronco. the floor itself and this thing in the middle will also have a hump in the middle, so three full size versions of me would be very complicated for the second row of this thing, but if you have kids There are anchor points, you have anchor points top grips and things like that, as well as basic cup holders, very similar to the rest of the Ronco line.
This thing is a beast though, so I've been in several F-150s before and it's like it's super high. I've been on Broncos before too, but it's just the height of this thing that's mind-blowing, it's wild and it makes sense, it's like 14 plus in ground clearance 37 in strong water inside this thing too. Kinda ridiculous, there was an episode of The Simpsons where Homer ends up getting a Camero and honestly, that's exactly how I imagine he'd feel driving that thing, a gamon AO guno, and I'm like on normal streets too. I can only imagine how awesome it would be to take this Offroad, so I've actually noticed it in other Bronco videos I've done before, but I've noticed it a little more on this one, maybe because I'm like actively looking, but the visibility of The rear view is a little tricky inside this thing, so you can still see behind me, but it's a little weird looking behind me right now just because of the way the tire sits. how tall it is so it's funny there's a car what an SUV it's not even like a sedan it's a car no it's an SUV that's behind me and the SUV that's behind me I can barely see it , it's wide, that's the other thing.
The size of the fenders inside this is a very wide vehicle, it has a big rear, yes it's eye-catching, that's one thing, if you want a car that turns heads and turns heads, the Raptor will definitely do that. Like me, so many people you can tell people who like cars, even people who don't, we like to turn our heads while I'm driving in this thing and that was a look at the Ford Bronco Raptor and this thing is an absolute monster even technically. available through Yorkdale Ford in Toronto, so I'll leave their contact information below, but you can also find a build link to these One-specific technical tutorials for everything you can find inside and a number of other videos there also, but if you found this video useful please like subscribe to the channel if not alreadyyou have done it and until next time take care
