Iroh was a fan favorite in The Last Airbender series. He has a very interesting and inspiring story spread across multiple media beyond the original series. In this video, I will analyze his character and take a look at his history as I explain. Iroh's

Iroh was the firstborn of Azulon and Ilah. He was born into the royal family of the Fire Nation and his father, Azulon, was the current Fire Lord. Iroh grew up knowing that he was the Crown Prince of Fire. Nation And he was destined to become the next Fire Lord after his father.

He later had a younger brother named Ozai with whom he was not very close. Iroh was a firebender prodigy and unearthed new abilities, such as being able to breathe fire through his mouth, something he would later become known for. He was also able to invent his own technique to redirect lightning through his body. when he hit him. Iroh was deeply spiritual and one day he visited the warriors of the Sun, where he stood before two dragons named Turan and Shah, who were the original firebenders? Iroh had a connection to dragons and lied to the world claiming that he had fought and killed the last surviving dragon. Iroh eventually had a son who he would name Lu Ten and the two were very close. Iroh made his child a priority and loved his child more than anything in the world. During the 100 Year War, Iroh became a renowned general of the Fire Nation.

While a general, he tried to fulfill a

life

long dream of his which was to capture the capital of the Earth Kingdom, Ba Sing. You see something that had never been breached before the city was surrounded by giant walls and Iroh was able to breach the outside. He besieged the city for 600 days while he was there. He wrote a letter to Ursa, his sister-in-law, and sent gifts to his nephews. He sends Zuko a knife that became very important to him. And he gave Azula a doll that she burned just as he got it, before he could reach the inner wall, his son Lu Ten was killed in front of him in pain.

Iroh lost most of his fighting spirit and abandoned the siege. This loss was seen as a terrible dishonor and failure for Iroh. The royal family and the

Fire Nation capital, Iroh, received even more grief when his father died in his sleep a few days later. His younger brother, Ozai, told him that his father's dying wish was to become Fire Lord in Iroh's place. RA did not try to fight this. and allowed his brother to take the throne. He had lost the desire for power from him after Lu Ten's death. He retired as a general simply because it was too painful to think about fighting what had killed his son.

Even so, Iroh was still highly respected in the Fire Nation and well liked by the soldiers due to his personality. These experiences had a profound impact on Iroh's life.

They made him see the world. differently in the past. He had focused on his work in the army preparing to become Fire Lord, but after the death of his son he realized that these were not the most important aspects of life, which led him to retire and live out the rest of his life. As a peaceful man rather than a violent man who led armies into war, he began to put others first and did everything he could to help those in need or even those who needed his spirit lifted. One thing he did to help mourn the death.

One of the things that helped him was developing a passion for tea. Something that became a big part of his life. Another thing that helped him was becoming close to his nephew Zuko. They both helped the other Zuko by taking the place of a son to Iroh and Zuko seeing Iroh as a father. He figures that he really treated him well. Iroh did not like the way his brother treated Zuko and took Zuko under his wing. Especially after his mother had disappeared when Ozai took the throne. One day, Iroh allowed Zuko to observe a meeting of Fire Lord Ozai's war council, but made Zuko promise not to speak when Zuko disobeyed and spoke out of turn, his father became angry and told him that they had to give him a lesson.

Iroh was present when Ozai punished Zuko by burning his face to reveal a scar he would leave. For the rest of his life, Ozai banished Zuko and told him that he could not return until he captured his

avatar

. Iroh accompanied Zuko on this impossible mission and did not want him to be alone. They spent years searching the Western Air Temple, the sea, and all over the map during this time. Iroh trained Zuko in firebending and he became very good at it. Iroh tried to teach his nephew not to use anger and aggression, but to be at peace, something he had learned from the original firebenders.

During a fight between Zuko and Admiral Zhao, Zuko used Iroh's training. he gave it to win the fight When Zhao tried to hit Zuko with a cheap shot, Iroh jumped and saved his nephew and told Zhao that he was embarrassing. Avatar Aang finally returned after a hundred years and Zuko and Iroh began chasing him. They captured him or almost captured him many times, but each time they let him escape through his fingers. One day, Iroh was captured by earthbenders who recognized him as the general who led the siege of Ba Sing Se while he was captured.

Iroh became angry and went after him, but Zhao, who was terrified by Iroh's power, escaped before Iroh could get to him. Zuko captured Aang's avatar, but nearly froze to death during the siege. Fortunately, Aang and his friends saved him something Iroh was very grateful for because shortly after Iroh and Zuko were branded traitors to the Fire Nation after narrowly escaping Azula. Iroh's niece and Zuko's sister had to hide, each one took off their bow symbolizing their new lives. Iroh was able to adapt to a life of simplicity, humility and poverty. But not Zuko, this led Zuko to leave his

and the two of them behind.

Upon parting ways, Iroh kept an eye on his nephew, however, and jumped into a battle to ensure his safety, Iroh's niece shot him with a blue beam and Zuko brought him back to full health after failing to teach him. She eventually had a son whom she named after Iroh and he became the youngest general in the history of the United Forces. Iroh also met the children Katara and Aang, Tenzin Bumi and Kya, eventually Iroh died of old age. He felt that he had done everything he could do in the material world, but because of his knowledge and connection to the spirit world he was able to continue his life in the spirit world leaving his body behind and letting his soul transcend into the non-material world. material.
