engineers

in the

alien

prequel movies directed by sir ridley scott the

engineers

aka pilots after the guy discovered in lv -426 by ripley the crew and

alien

s were essentially an ancient extraterrestrial species of unknown origin possessing some of the most advanced technology in the entire galaxy, especially in the field of space travel and genetic engineering, credited with the creation of humanity. The Engineers are believed to be beneficent

creators

who sell the stars by terraforming primordial

celestial

bodies and laying the foundations of biological life on them, as such they are revered as gods by some of the many intelligent species they have created over the centuries, while throughout the extended alien universe they have been known to many. names including space riders aseans and malachaks the term engineer was first coined by elizabeth shaw and charlie hollyway in the movie

prometheus

because life forms are responsible for engineering the human race i should also note that his name scientist is mundus gubernavi, which is Latin for universal pilot, engineers are extremely pale hairless humanoids with two huge arms and legs and raised bridges of their foreheads and noses compared to humans, their pupils are also noticeably shaped like more oblong symbols that give them a familiar but strange look. to breathe oxygen just like humans and have been reported to have a lifespan of 150 years, they also appear to be extremely strong and resilient given the fact that the last engineer killed Peter Weyland's team on Prometheus sending them flying across the room with simple blows.

Some off-the-cuff comments made by ridley scott who directed the first alien movie Prometheus and the alien pact suggested that the humanoids on planet four were civilians and the ones on lv223 were the militant type, this leads me to theorize that if well they all belong to the same species many subtypes were made to facilitate their general goal of creation and exploration with the civilians being used for farming and farming purposes to feed the masses the militant types to protect them and a scientific variant possible but still Seeing that he was responsible for his genetic engineering and technological prowess this is supported by comments made by the Weyland Yutani crews on both Prometheus and Alien Covenant with members of the Prometheus team mentioning that lv223 was a military installation and members of the team from Covenant who claim that planet 4 had agricultural sites where food was gathered given this, I believe that humanity had been created by them by means of a sacrificial engineer who was exposed to a biological accelerator and that they expected us to become a new subtype with the archaeological finds on planet earth that were discovered by Shaw and Holloway is likely our direct

had nurtured and directed our species towards the goal they had in mind for us and the inherent disgust in humanity witnessed by the Malachi attacking the Prometheus team could have been motivated by us not respecting their ways, traditions, customs and hierarchy.

I also believe that our desire to explore, create and dominate the galaxy as witnessed by the exploits and eventual reach of the weyland yutani corporation could have been the reason they decided to destroy us i.e. weyland himself becomes a species of creator with his development to the david line of androids and seeing humanity that had been created by the engineers for a specific purpose attempt to usurp the engineers' place as a supreme species of

creators might have angered them in the Prometheus life and death comic book saga, there is also a discussion between two of the characters named Foster and Melville as to why the engineers might have hated us when they were responsible for our creation in the first place with melville saying it's all speculation but th there is absolutely no possibility of contact or negotiation with the engineers they are hostile on site or hate all forms of e life or have a particular problem with their creations kill us kill bugs bugs kill us we fight everything at the bottom of the food chain, why would something so obviously advanced act with such hostility against its own creations along the way? which Foster replies who knows Mr.

Melville maybe we are accidents or deceptions though not much is known about the creators engineers are shown to have showed advanced forms of culture that exist within their society such as language, the arts visuals, music and clothes. other places on earth adding more credibility to the idea that they had nurtured our early developments and culture to look at. It was interesting for me to hear Ridley Scott's take on his culture in the Alien Covenant audio commentary where he explained that big heads The stone within the citadel on planet four represented the six elders of all civilization.

These were composed of intellectual artists. and wise men, this might suggest that a brainstorming session among these elders led to the formation of the subtypes of engineers we see today who played a specific role in the overall growth of space creators, a superior species to be sure. , the hypersleep chambers will be Awesome, I trust the movie Prometheus. We discovered that dozens of cargo ships carrying the black weaponized liquid plunged to earth to unleash the pathogen and let it wipe out humanity only to see the engineers somehow lose control of their intended weapons and perish. was an outpost for engineering and weapons development, supporting the theory that engineers created the black liquid that led to the trilobites. and other mutations in the film for warlike and genocidal purposes. The Prometheus crew also noted that lv-223's engineers had been dead for about 2000 years. This leads me to believe that until about 2000 years ago, the engineers were on good terms with humans, but a specific event occurred that caused them to become hostile towards humanity, this explains the cave drawings that invited humanity to track them down.

So what could have been the event that triggered them? I mentioned earlier that humanity had probably strayed. of the objectives and tasks that their creators have set for them, but I also mentioned that they were revered by other civilizations that c Considered as gods with the spread of multiple religions on earth 2,000 years ago, they began to surpass the prevailing worship at that time. time of engineers This blasphemy could have angered the true gods to the point that they wish to do away with us Old Testament style. This of course has been pretty much retconned in Prometheus and the Alien Pact with David being the creator of the xenomorphs after arriving on planet four. David essentially wiped out the entire humanoid civilian settlement between the years 2094 and 2104 using the black liquid. d in the same method that the engineers had planned to destroy humanity in the remains of the city, the android then began experimenting using the biogenic liquid to create the neomorphs which I have also covered on this channel and will leave the link below powered by An obsession to create a unique species of his own, David tricks the Covenant crew into landing on the planets and takes over their ship with the plan to create the Xenomorphs.

It should be noted that he leaves Planet 4 in the year 2104 with a handful. of survivors of the pact human embryos and embryos that looked like face huggers 18 years before the crew of the nostromo with ripley stumbled upon the xenomorphs on lp426 this also feeds the thread and theme of creations usurping the place of their creators with the engineers who create us humanity creates the androids and they, in turn, create the xenomorphs and each tries to outdo their pious creators and leave their own mark in the universe. is that in the next movie, set in that space, David will create the xenomorphs as we know them and presumably head to the actual homeworld of the militants and engineer scientists in hopes of unleashing their acidic predators upon them. or you may just give it to them. to them as a gift which seems pretty unlikely the reason I'm saying this is that for it to tie into the original series we need to have engineering full of xenomorph x and a dead space rider on the bridge but I guess I'll see what decides to make Ridley with David, the engineers, and the xenomorphs in the final film of the prequel trilogy.
