has resurfaced in popular culture because many have made connections between this dark society and ours or they never will. saw the rise of the Internet or the policies of the 21st century, but some have treated it as something new almost as a harbinger of constant surveillance of each citizen by each government against its own citizens such connections and this has only gotten worse.
