There are things that can make me go, you know, they give me that feeling and I have to say in this sense that Dark and the Evil really delivers, as it is quite scary, as well as being quite brutal and violent, and has many memorable moments that are really effective.

A lot of this is due to the very somber atmosphere and kind of loneliness of the cinematography, lots of wide expansive shots, this style is really emphasized throughout and does a lot to make the punchy beats really work and there's also some decent stuff about the scary jumps. There is also the important family dynamic that is the real driving force of the story as we peel back more layers of the distance that has grown between them and that in many ways ends up being their downfall. No one in this family can talk to each other about anything they need to do. open up about your feelings you know what i mean this comes from brian bertino the same brother behind the home invasion thriller the strangers which also had a lot of effective cliffhangers and this actually doesn't feel that different at all So a trio of faceless killers, our intruder this time is a demonic entity that proceeds to destroy everything it comes across, of course that includes the family too.

I say this because understanding how family and supernatural stories are connected is important to get the full scope of the movie and really understand and appreciate the

Luis takes care of her father and coughs weekly. and wheezing alarmingly she starts cutting harder and a spider comes out of her mouth she tries to catch it her brother comes in asking if everything is okay she still keeps it to herself stuttering it was nothing just talk to each other people this is crazy mike He is later woken up by lights turning on, but there is no one in the room and the door is still tightly closed. It's strange. They turn on again and Mike feels a little uncomfortable seeing that there is no one else in the room.

Another Louise appears whispering indistinctly in her ear saying "you did this to me" and she blows her brains out with her gun. I have seen in detail how the devil works by appealing to his victims with persuasion to take their own lives so that he can claim their souls the next day. The nurse goes on to say that she can see the children's fear and feel it in the house. She knows that they don't believe in God, but she does believe in God and she thinks that there are horrible and evil things in the world and that they come to get whatever they want. The goats somehow managed to flee into the wild and then a three legged one comes back to the farm and they find out that almost their entire herd has been brutally murdered knowing they couldn't have been wolves and Mike just wants to get out of here suggesting they call another doctor and bring it as soon as possible louise cries well she told us not to come a frustrated bus screaming damn they make a big bonfire to burn the bodies of the goats now there are a handful of animals left on the farm there is still one who is a mother about to die give birth and he promises not to let them die today he is not sitting with the cute baby animals in the barn a small ray of hope in his current misery he drowns if he is here he will work echoing his father creed but orders him to stay home with him mike is starting to open up about things a little more about what the nurse said about how the worst thing is for someone to die just the reason for his decision to stay she wanted to feel something and he also wanted to feel something but he shrinks away afraid because now all she wants is to forget about this place I'm afraid louise me too she agrees now that we know mike is starting to break down the devil takes advantage In the barn, the bottles and horseshoes collide with Mike, he prepares his knife and aggressively yells at them to leave.

She asks him if she left, he replies coldly and states that there is nothing they can change right now, telling her to save herself and hangs up. The nurse screams bloody murder and has stuck the needle in his cheek. Why don't you listen? She screams and stabs herself in the stomach. and tells her to leave, violently hitting her head against the wall, leaving Louise unconscious, the nurse sobs, I hear you, you're with me, Jesus, I'm sorry you didn't help much by sticking the needle in her eye and then in the other, largely surrounded by whispering voices. that Jesus is here for you clearly the demon just messes with her he gets louder and she laughs raising her hands before collapsing on the floor the dead microphone comes home and learns the hard way that escape is impossible by searching around the house for his family, he tragically finds them all dead and collapses falling to his knees and crying, he pulls out his trusty knife, considers it for a moment before putting it to his throat, he gags, looks back and the table is now empty, oh hell, you got it.

Mikey, the really bad boy tricked by the devil, was all another illusion when his family comes home and finds him bleeding leaning against the wall. Becky is screaming like crazy in the room. He's pretty brutal, sure. Now all that's left is Louise, her apologizing to her father, but she knows it. She has to go outside but she doesn't get very far listening to her father cough and she refuses to leave him and she comes back in after all I'm here she says getting down next to him promising not to leave him still even a little bit of love going here, so It's cute, he hears his brother calling for help outside and then it becomes a chorus of overlapping voices, the candle goes out and dad echoes, the floorboards creak, Luis tells his dad that he loves him and that he won't leave without no matter what he starts doing. he gasps erratically, she begs him not to go, and he stops breathing and finally passes her by, leaving her in utter anguish.

She tries to shake him awake to no avail and then she hears her mom singing her song and dad attacks her with a growl. Basically, she was doomed once her dad. the only shred of love that kept her soul and his protected without it dying, friends and, in fact, the whole family was pretty screwed in the first place because of how estranged they were and it made them pretty easy prey for the devil. guy like the nurse says a beloved soul is protected and since we know there really isn't much love left in this family from the beginning, I was also left wondering how much of what we saw was the devil guy behind Some Strange Moments like Louise calls the preacher and he seems to talk to him and brings up his dead daughter, also named Luis, who feels hanging a little, but I guess the idea is that he really was behind literally everything we saw, he was even able to bend the reality. in many ways, other than taking the physical form of anyone you encounter, so reality can't be trusted at all times and that phone call was made when Louise and Mike were sure that there was some reasonable explanation behind this and As we have seen, the devil likes to take advantage of your fears and mess with his victims.

Another important question I had observing is if the devil can force others to commit suicide so easily and why does he take his father so much time? I mean, everyone else dies during the process. In the course of a week, I considered that the devil had passed through the entire family and I saw that they were easily exploitable.
